Review №1

Im the owner of JC Huffman Cabinetry and Millennium Surfaces has been my fabricator for granite and quartz counter tops for years. We are extremely pleased with their professionalism, attention to detail, great staff and beautiful new showroom that provides full slabs for our customers to view, making their counter top selection an easier experience.

Review №3

Initially, my review would have been 5 stars; however I did have an issue that has colored my experience with Millennium. But first, I do love my new counter tops a lot! It is amazing how the template process done with the lasers creates a counter top that fits so perfectly. The crew that installed the quartz was very efficient and skilled. For the most part, they explained what they were doing and why. So why am I somewhat unhappy with my purchase and my experience? The one thing they DIDNT explain to us was the drilling of the faucet holes. I needed a hole for my sprayer head faucet and I needed a hole for my water filter faucet. The hole that was drilled for the water filter was only 3/4 in size, rather than what one would think of as normal standard size hole (1 3/8) on all other sinks and the size that was drilled for my sprayer head faucet. I was unaware of the small size of the hole until the next day when my contractor came back in to reattach the plumbing, because the Millenium crew had stuck both of my faucets into the holes before I arrived to sign off on the paperwork. As I thought about it, I knew that I might want to have options in the future in case I chose to eliminate my filtered water and put something else in the second hole so I called to inquire about having the hole made standard size. Millennium actually came the very next day after my call (which I thought was really good), but when the crew arrived, it was discovered that because my small hole was placed too far back near the back splash (it was not centered across from the hole that was drilled for the faucet as my contractor said it should have been) Millennium would not be able to drill unless the very long piece of back splash was also removed. All of this would involve unhooking my plumbing again, probably repainting my walls again, and just generally was not an option so I am stuck with the small hole that is not centered and can only be used for a water filter faucet. Additionally, as I have been using my countertops and sink daily since their installation, I have notice that for some reason they drilled the hole for my sprayer head faucet in such a manner that my faucet base sits RIGHT UP against the back splash. (I can just fit a credit card between the faucet & the backsplash). It will be impossible to clean very well, if at all. And I have some concerns that in the future when I need to replace this faucet, I might have trouble because what if the base is a larger diameter than the one I have now? Its impossible to know what types of faucets will be available in the future. My counter tops that had been so wonderful and such a joy the day they were installed, have now become somewhat of a disappointment and my feeling is that its because the installers didnt communicate with my husband well at all regarding hole size and EXACT placement. Were just homeowners, we didnt know the process nor the right things to ask/look for. In hindsight, I would have asked my contractor to be present while the Millenium crew was there and he would have known to have them drill both holes the same size and a bit further towards the sink, rather than clear back by the backsplash. The purpose of this review is, if nothing else, to make any other home owner that might be thinking of putting in new quartz or granite counter tops aware that not only is it important to talk about where that you want to have your faucets located in but it is also important to be VERY SPECIFIC on the size hole you wish to have drilled and the actual placement of the hole(s) in reference to the backsplash and sink edge because it DOES make a difference. I hope I can save others from being disappointed with their beautiful counter tops with this information. RESPONSE to Millenium: Yes, I signed off on form, but as I said, faucets were already placed in holes. Why would I have thought to remove them to look at size? MY contractor thought the bigger holes should have been drilled. And when you returned next day, YOUR installer was not willing to ruin my backsplash!
