As soon as I walked into the store, the retail person greeted me in a friendly way, and asked if I needed help. I needed keys made. She promptly took me to the key making area, and quickly made the keys. Then she rang me up. I thought that the whole process would take awhile, but I was so pleased that it was a very quick and pleasant experience. Excellent customer service.

Drove here from an hour away just to get the blackstone griddle, great customer service, took care of me as soon as I arrived.

Outside of this store being great for hardware, this is my go-go for anything grilling and BBQ. Awesome selection of charcoal, BBQ sauces and rubs.

Local hardware store, local owners. Friendly staff. The best selection of any size bolt, screw, nut or washer you can find. Also one of the best selections of bbq supplies from wood chips to actual sauces and rubs.

Went in to purchase a grill but was so turned off by the customer service from the (seemingly) manager named Dave that we left. Ill go to the one in Naperville instead.

The helpful hardware man lives! I shop exclusively for all my hardware needs at this location. It has the feeling of a small family-owned business. Everyone is really friendly and helpful. I find it much more convenient to shop here than to go to Home Depot where I can never find anyone to help me (let alone find the end of the store that has the item I am looking for). All the front end cashiers they have working there are really friendly as well.

Made an order online for same day pickup at the Oswego location on route 71. Got an email Later that day saying theyre out of inventory and took the liberty to order it and it will come in their next shipment.I call the store on May 6 and spoke to a nice young lady initially and asked her when will the shipment come in. She asked my name and put me on hold and put the manager on the line.He rudely interrupted me as I was explaining to him the situation and talked to me very unprofessional. He said he dont know when my item will get to their store and thats for me to find out. I was extremely disappointed in his customer service skills and just asked if I can cancel my order because How he talked and that it was false information online. He said very rudely again, thats for you to figure out. I WILL NEVER SHOP AT THIS LOCATION and if this is the type of people Ace have running their stores, I WILL NOT SHOP AT ACE AGAIN AND RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE I KNOW TO NEVER SHOP THERE because of unprofessional people like this store manager. Ive been coming to this Ace for over a decade. Ive always had terrific customer service. Everyone has always treated me as if I was their priority. The front end associates always greet me as I walk in and ask if I need help. The floor associates are knowledgeable and are a great source of advice. I cant believe I see any negative reviews at all, its so unlike my own experience. Im very glad I have an Ace so close to my residence; I prefer them over the big box stores.

I read some poor customer service reviews and I dont know what they were talking about. The gentlemen in the store were extremely helpful. Ill definitely be coming back to my local Ace.

Wow! Talk about crappy customer service,,,! If I could leave a negative star, I would.I called ahead and asked about a specific key I needed. I needed 10 key blanks. The guy on the phone assured me he had them and would set them aside for me.When I arrived at the store, I went to the key department and proceeded to wait in line. The guy who I had talked to was there but getting ready to leave. Before he left, I wanted to get his attention and let him know I was there. The lady behind the key counter immediately coped an attitude with me and said, Ive been working here for over three years and I can take care of anything you have. And let the guy go home.So, I proceeded to wait for 20 minutes. Finally, it is my turn. So I tell her that Im there to pick up the 10 key blanks that I had talked to the guy about. And, still in her crappy attitude tone, she says... We dont carry those. So I told her that the guy assured me that he had what I needed. So, then she asked me, Did he set them aside for me? What did he say exactly? So, i said, Why dont you ask him? And then she said... Still in her smart ass condescending tone, Hes gone for the day. DUH, really?So, on the way out, I ask the cashier if I can talk to the manager... And guess who the manager is... You guessed it, the smart ass behind the key counter.When you call in and get put on hold, their recording says how great their service is... And then they compare themselves to the Major Stores... What a bunch of B.S.I will NEVER step foot in that Ace Hardware store again and you shouldnt either. Complete waste of time!

Great variety of things in the store for a small project

With the store coupon we used they had a better price on what we were looking for than Home Depot did.

Please been in Oswego now for 11 years and weve always went to this a store nutten but good things to say if they dont have it they will get it for you Very good prices

Very poor experience with a return. In stark contrast with the excellent return experience I recently had at one of the big box hardware stores that went above and beyond to make things right. Ace seems to go by the nope, we cant policy.

To expensive, store is clean, but.....

Terrible customer service. Chip reader for credit card not reading. So instead of input numbers manually, (like every other store/ multiple Ace stores) they just turn you away not wanting the sale. Oh well will never be back there again. Home Depot likes money.

Wish i could use NO stars. FAILED to honor a valid rewards coupon. The rewards coupon is a better deal than the sale price, and was told you cannot use a coupon on something on sale. Funny--the coupon terms says no such thing.
