The staff at this Visionworks was very friendly and knowledgeable. They explained all parts of the exam and assisted with my benefits and picking the perfect pair of eyeglasses. I was also told my glasses may take 2 weeks to come in but they were there in 2 days. Melanie assisted me with my order and made sure I understood all of my options and what my benefits cover. I highly recommend this location.

Not sure why this location has such bad reviews. I received nothing but great service from friendly employees/doctors and treated with respect from start to finish. Kelly, the Assistant Manager, had an especially cheery disposition and really had a personal touch when helping me pick out glasses despite the fact that I don’t really think that’s her job. This is not nearly the closest Visionworks location to my home but between the customer service, selection & price, it is worth the drive!

I just switched to this Visionworks after going to another place for many years. I was utterly impressed with the customer service. Everyone, including the doctor, was so friendly and easy to talk to. After I had left, Kelly called me to let me know that my particular prescription of contacts was on back order, so she ordered 4 boxes of samples for me. Super super friendly! I’m happy I found this place!

Representative Kelly was rude and impolite. Talking over me while I am still speaking. Instead of explaining as to why they can’t put progressive on the eye glasses she just told me that the employees that done that was no longer employed there.

Had an eye exam with my family everyone was very helpful and knowledgeable. They got us started quickly and the girl in charge of dr testing very nice. Kelly and Alexis were very helpful in helping our family choose glasses and make the most of our insurance benefits. Not sure why the bad reviews very obvious it’s people who are not follow rules or want something for free this store is top notch we will be back

I made an appointment and also confirmed via email. I guess because I didnt answer my phone to confirm as well they cancelled my appointment after waiting 4 weeks for this appointment. The girl in the office claims its their policy. Wouldnt you think that would be in the web site as well. Must confirm multiple times and sit by your phone for us to call. I will never go back there again and neither will my wife and kids.

I had a 10:00 am appointment today. When I walked to the door all of the lights are turned off and the door was locked. There was a sign that stated covid hours were 11:00am to 7:00pm and their website says different hours. It was 9:58 and there was no one to be seen so I left. When I called a girl answered the phone and said she was on her way to open and I could be seen shortly after. By this time I was already home and will be looking to get my eye exam somewhere else.

I had such a positive experience w/Dr. Menconi who was very patient, he took his time w/me and I didn’t feel rushed. Kelli was awesomely wonderful as well w/her knowledge of how my plan works and the best features for my eyewear. I definitely recommend this store for all of your eyewear needs. 😃

I had my glasses made at this store and the prescription does not seem correct. I called to see if I could get an appointment to check the lens to be sure the prescription was put on correctly and the girl who took my call told me I have to go back to my eye doctor. It would only take a few minutes for them to do a quick exam on my left eye to be sure that my prescription was correct but they just send you back to someone else and dont address the issue. The girls in this store are very rude on the phone. I spent over $500.00 for my glasses and this is how they treat their customers. When I first called the store to get my first appointment just to choose my glasses they lied and told me that they didnt have any appointments available for over 2 weeks and then I got on line and found an appointment for 2 days later. While I was in the store I heard one of them on the phone telling another customer that they were booked for over 2 weeks. I think the corporate office should start paying attention. To whats going on at this location. I would not advise using this store. Iam going to report this store to Vsp as well after reading all of the other bad reviews on lenses not being correct.

The doctor I saw was great last year. Decided to go here again for contacts.I work as a dialysis technician and work minimum 12 hour days. I’ve missed the calls from them when trying to get more information for my appointment. I’ve called back SEVEN TIMES TOTAL in the past week. After being on hold for 20+ minutes each time, I’m no longer going to my appointment. I can’t even get ahold of them to CANCEL it.They have sent me the form to fill out THREE TIMES and still say in the voicemails I need to fill out the paperwork. I don’t know what’s going on over there now, but I’m furious. It’s disappointing because the doctor was so nice. Don’t know if there’s new staff or not enough staff. Either way, horrible second experience

Was on hold for 35 minutes. A call center answered the call and could not assist. Trying to help an elderly woman that was told she had to have an email sent to her to fill out forms electronically. She does not have an email address. Ridiculous that we were on hold for so long to not receive any help. Even more ridiculous that Visionworks doesnt take into consideration that not every customer has an email address or can sign up online.

Terrible customer service. Had to have my eye exam redone after receiving the wrong prescription. A year later I show up for my eye exam and was told I couldnt see a doctor because I didnt fill out a questionnaire online and they couldnt have it filled out in person. The customer service rep was condescending and told me they tried to contact me but I received no calls or messages. I will not use them ever again. If I could give zero stars I would have.

The employees were very attentive and answered all my questions. I worked with two of them, both of which were very helpful/knowledgeable. Dr. Menconi was also very nice and conversational. The exam was super quick, and I found some unique glasses that Im super excited to receive in a few weeks!

Worst customer service ever! They dont answer the phone. I reached out to customer service about no one answering the phone and the representatives response was keep calling until they answer. I cant help you. When I finally got a hold of someone at the store. I was told by the associate Kim, that she couldnt assist me because she has a customer waiting. My glasses arent even right, but no one will answer the phone or help me correct the problem.

They canceled my appointment without notice after I took time off work to go and didnt find out until I arrived. Had to schedule 3 weeks in advance to even get an appointment and received a confirmation of the appointment 3 hours prior to going but they said the online and text system doesnt sync with theirs. Was told the manager double books appointments and nothing they could do about it. Customer service was awful as they were very unsympathetic to wasting my time due to their screw up. Not the first time Ive had issues at this store. Thanks for wasting my time and money!

We have been waiting for my sons glasses to come in. Finally today(may 27) they arrive at the store. lady said she is out of shipping labels for overnight so I can come get them or have them ground shipped(5 days). I said I would come get them, my son is having migraines. She says we can come on Monday(Jun 1) also 5 days from now! I said I need them sooner. She replies with they dont have room in the schedule for a curbside pick up, as they will be with other customers. Guess Im not priority anymore since they already took my money!! Will not bring my other 4 children in to this place..we will find a doctor who treats all their patients with priority. Cannot review their glasses since we cannot get them in a timely manner.

My sons contacts were sent to our house in separate boxes. His left eye contacts were sent and they were fine in one box. His right eye contacts was sent separately in another box and there was no contacts in that box. When I called the company, vision works in Oswego, Illinois they said if we don’t have the box then we will have to buy the contacts again! They are very rude, and need to work on their customer service skills! I will not give another dollar to this place! I also asked to speak to a manager and have not heard back from this company!

We had a bad experience here, arrived 5 minutes ahead of our eye exam and there were 3 other families there who all seemed to have appointments at the same time? We were directed to different corners of the store to keep everyone distanced but there is limited seating. I was feeling bad for the employees because a few very rude customers came and went while we were waiting, but they also were not at all friendly or helpful or proactive so not sure which is the chicken and which is the egg there. We had our initial checks after 20 minutes or so (not too confident in the cleaning that was given to this machine which you press your entire face up against by rubbing the rim with a tiny little 1 inch sq alcohol pad but we had our masks so I didnt say anything). After that we were returned to the waiting area. My 6 and 2 year old were very patient but when we reached the point that wed been waiting an hour after our appt time and I was listening to the employee explain to an elderly man why she couldnt help him because 15 minutes are allotted to each patient we walked out the door and will find somewhere else for our vision care needs. Visionworks has the air of a poorly run business where customers and employees alike are unhappy to be there. Oh, one more thing - the phone rang for at least 30 minutes straight while we were waiting. So yeah, if that was you calling, youre right, they dont answer the phone!

I had the best experience at this Visionworks, they have the best customer service and they are so nice and helpful. They have such a great variety of glasses and different designers. I got my glasses from Visionworks Oswego and I love them! The quality is very good, and the shipping was super fast. The staff is very friendly. Niveen helped me place my order and customize my glasses, and Teresa helped me track my order all the way until I received it. Overall, great service. I definitely recommend Visionworks Oswego.

Went here instead of our regular eye doctor out of convenience because my daughter was home on spring break from college; and they could get her in quickly. There has been nothing convenient about it. I finally have received her contacts...2 months after ordering them! They are not a special prescription! Zero contact from VisionWorks. The only contact we had is me going in the store multiple times only to be told they werent in yet. Each time I was told the manager would call myself or my daughter with an explanation. NO ONE EVER CALLED! 2 months later we finally have the prescription and still no explanation why this happened so it will not happen to anyone else! Had she not ordered glasses as a back up, she would have had nothing! Her glasses were supposed to be backup, not daily wear! Vision Works is not cheaper than my regular eye doctor and there was definitely no convenience to using them. We will NEVER use this company again! Oh, the manager did give her multiple bottles of free contact solution for her trouble. Gee, thanks! Perhaps you should work on training your staff instead so no one else ever has to go through this.

We called ahead to ask if they have XXL frames for my spouse who is a 72 man with a very large yet proportionate face to his body. They lied and said they had a large selection and that we should Come on down. So we came and we nt within 10 minutes. No one offered to help us and their xxl large selection was literally 5 pairs of the ugliest glasses ever and they werent even xxl. They were just extended wide. Completely unprofessional and a waste of time and gas.

I don’t know how this place has anything over 1 or 2 stars the customer service is absolutely terrible. First they can’t book and track appointments to save their lives apparently i got several calls saying i missed my appointment while i was there lol and then a few days after i was still getting texts asking to reschedule. then i have my exam i pay and order my glasses. i was told there was a 7-10 day turn around. After not hearing anything i reached out as there was no call or text with any updates like i was told there would be. i continued calling each day i was told not here yet someone will call with an update... there was never a call. i reached out to corporate via IM and had them call the store only to find out my glasses where broken in transit. as of the time of this review i’ve still not received a call from the store to let me know 1 they were broken and 2 when i can expect them since they needed to be repaired...i will never ever do business here again and i advise you not to as well!!!

I had the pleasure of meeting your excellent Dr. Michael Menconi on a recent flight. He and his wonderful wife overheard a conversation that I was having with another flight attendant. I was discussing what a horrible experience I have been having with my eyes (glasses and contacts). Dr. Menconi immediately spoke up and asked if he could offer any information to help, explaining that he was an eye doctor. He was extremely knowledgeable and offered as much help as he possibly could. He shared information that I should have when seeing a doctor near my home. He gave me information and his time without any expectation of anything in return. I was so impressed that I will not be going to a doctor near my home but will be flying in to see Dr. Menconi. I am confident that I have finally found a doctor that can help me. He and his wife are genuinely kind and caring people. Dr. Menconi is a doctor worth traveling to see!

Michael is an excellent doctor! Made me feel comfortable and he demonstrates genuine compassion. But the staff are not so great, its been longer than a month, Ive called three times to see if my contacts have come in. And still not available. That is terrible. They are already paid for too. And I really dont understand that they suddenly have to reorder them on a Monday and theyll magically be ready for pick up the following friday...why didnt they do that a week or two ago? I think some of the stuff needs a bit of re-education on a few things.

Really terrible service, if I could rate zero stars, I would. The glasses they made were so far off what my Dr prescribed, he actually wrote them a scathing letter when he saw them. There are much better places to get your glasses, check around.
