Overall, we noticed several pros and cons of working with this dealer. We drove 5 hours one way to look at and purchase a 2015 diesel truck. Upon arrival, the people were very friendly and had even been willing to hold the truck for one day while we made the drive without charging any extra fees. When we first got into the truck to test drive it, the fuel light was on and said we had less than 15 miles to E. We asked a salesman about it and if it could be filled so we could have plenty of time to test drive the vehicle but they acted like it was no big deal and told us to go ahead and drive it without fueling it. We then test drove it for about 5 miles then decided to purchase the truck. Overall, the salesman and personnel were extremely friendly and helpful. As part of the deal, we asked our salesman if they would fuel the truck first since it had only 10 miles to E. He told us yes and that it wouldn’t be a problem, however, in the end, they decided to change their mind and left us scrambling to find fuel in an unknown city. We managed to finally find a gas station with only 3 miles to E. We weren’t impressed with this situation because for one, we could have easily been stranded five hours away from home and two, it puts unnecessary strain on the truck to run the fuel levels that low. We managed to drive the truck back home without any issues and were very satisfied with the features and the ride. We arrived home, however, and then noticed a check engine light had come on. We checked the code and found it was related to the emissions system in the truck it also limited us to only driving 50 mph for 50 miles. We couldn’t enjoy our new truck the remainder of the weekend due to this and had to wait until Monday to speak to the dealer. We called and they seemed to be somewhat willing to help us out but they wouldn’t give us a 100% sure answer as to whether or not they’d cover the repairs 100% as they should have considering we had only had the truck for less than 24 hours and already couldn’t drive it. They basically gave us the run around and asked for a diagnosis of the problem but still wouldn’t tell us if they’d even cover the cost of the diagnosis. Overall, the truck is a beautiful truck and the dealership has very friendly personnel but they don’t necessarily stick to their word. We were impressed for the most part but did run into a few issues overall.

Great service people. They tried to figure out the issue and fixed it. A different Ford dealer (in Carol Stream) claimed the issue I was having was “normal”. The quick lube is a great idea. Front desk guys were very friendly and pleasant to work with.

This is about the service center, not the sales side. I called a few Ford dealers and chose this one. I’m new to the area and just came in from Utah. I chose them after calling a few and looking at reviews.I had a few issues which weren’t my favorite, but I was very impressed with the callback I got after leaving my first review. The service manager called me back, was extremely professional and listened to what I said. Listening is something that is rare these days. Even though my first experience wasn’t awesome, I realize that there are one off mistakes that occasionally happen. After his call I would go back.

One great example of their customer service was reflected when one of the cars I was interested in did not have Apple CarPlay. They knew this was a feature I wanted so they called multiple tech stores and got information on where I could get it installed if I wanted. They are one in a million and made the whole process of purchasing my first car very enjoyable!

Pros: Very easy to do business with. I researched vehicle online. Cons: My purchase wasnt a Ford, so the sales person wasnt as knowledgeable about questions that I had about some of the features. Also, the vehicle wasnt very clean, the steering wheel was sticky and the dash was dirty, but it was vacuumed. Its a used car but new for me. I had to take it to get detailed in order to have that full experience of having a new car.

Gotta say that of all the many car dealers Ive been to over the years, this is the ONLY one where I didnt feel like I was being taken advantage of. This isnt a huge dealership, family owned apparently, clean and well kept, but not sterile. The polar opposite of the usual dealer experience of chum jumping into a pool full of sharks. Richard treated me excellent, just straightforward, professional but casual. He responded to my online inquiry promptly, then had me come in to test drive the car I was interested in. I sat down after the test drive, told Richard what I was trying to accomplish and he made it happen. So smooth and quick, I didnt spend the usual several grueling hours being hustled by 3 or more people. It was simply Richard, then the finance person to do the paperwork. Old school, simple. No pressure. All questions answered frankly and honestly. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Im now driving an awesome car at a great price with a full factory warranty.

Riverview Ford worked extremely hard to ensure I received the vehicle that was right for me. This included several extended test drives with multiple vehicles. Tom in sales was very sensitive to my health issues ultimately affecting my final selection. Could not be more satisfied with the Ford Escape. My father has happily purchased 3 cars with Cory through River view. This was personally my first purchase from River View and my first brand new car purchase, the whole online buying experience with Rich was quick, painless and pressureless. I gave them a payment I would be comfortable with and they where able to make it happen, exactly as I wanted, they gave me more than anticipated for my trade. Even their online trader offer was minimum $1,500 higher than the other Ford dealers closer to my house. Gary the financial man, explained all my warranty and add on options clearly and with no added pressure to buy anything.I wish all dealers conducted business like this it is definitely a friendly family atmosphere.

**UPDATE** Just bought my 4th car here. Sales and service is second to none. I pass multiple other Ford dealers to come here and will continue to do.Previous experience: Had my C-Max in and service was backed up for at least a week. Ford covered a loaner for 13 days while the car was fixed under warranty without no issue. They also did a full check up and were not pushy about any other repairs. Overall, their service is fantastic. I will definitely go back.

Do not let them service your vehicle here. They have a terrible reputation. We paid $1300 for them to check everything on the car and fix anything they found. We asked them three times if they are sure they checked everything. Literally THE NEXT DAY after we got the car back the check engine light came on.We notified them and they said they would fix it for free and its not a big deal. Well they just called us saying they are charging us $550 for parts and labor. Biggest joke of a company, do not buy Ford.

The last car I purchased was from a shoddy dealership who didnt care about my safety, my situation, or my feelings. When you purchase a car, you should love it and feel proud to own it.When I went to River View Ford, I had no idea what to expect. I was hesitant to trust the salespeople, only because of my prior experience with other dealerships. What I received was an email asking how they could earn my business. What came next, was a team of people who did everything they could to get me into a brand new vehicle, that brought great peace of mind, and safety. They actually cared about me as an individual.As a teacher, we really expect to give all we have to our students, and get nothing in return. These guys made me feel like all the time I put into my students is worth being rewarded. I cant speak enough good things about them, and my car which is AMAZING! I will send anyone to this dealership.

I recently purchased a new, 2019 Ford Explorer Sport from River View Ford. I used the Costco car buying program and was referred to two Ford dealers in the Chicagoland area. I contacted River View Ford first and explained what I was looking for, down to the color and the options. The person I was referred to was cordial and said he would do a search to see what was available. Within 24 hours he had found the Explorer in the desired color and with the desired options. The Costco buying program price was very good and saved me substantial dollars over the lowest price, offered by my local Ford Dealer. I would happily purchase a new vehicle from River View Ford again!

I go yrly for a spring check up and find the experience welcoming, courteous, and easy for me. Every thing is explained in my language if needed. My husband changed from another garage for service because of conveniance and was very satisfied also.

Standard brake job on a Toyota. Called in advance; they dont take appointments. Was told to bring it in. Brought it in, after inspection, was told that the brake job would be finished by days end. They disassembled the vehicle and only then told us they didnt have the parts and wed have to pick up the car the next business day. They ended up keeping the vehicle for TWO DAYS, leaving me without one and having to rely on others to get me around. They offered no remedy whatsoever. No per diem for the loss of use. No partial refund. Scarcely an apology. I will NEVER go back, and I would suggest that you save your money, time, and frustration and not go here either.

I have been a customer for many years and the team at River View Ford continues to do a great job, especially in the Service Department. They keep my 2017 F-150 in top running order and any discovered problem has been dealt with quickly and fairly. There arent too many businesses that I would give five start, but this is one of them.
