It is everything you have come to expect at Walmart now days. Minimal staff, no cashiers, but most of the product you need.I gave them three stars because they were out of a lot of the fresh produce. I usually shop at Walmart because I can do a one shop stop.I think like most people, I shop at Walmart for convince. I can find most everything there in one location.

Lots of parking. Friendly & helpful staff. We are just passing through & wanted to buy souvenirs, but they only had the university items which we didnt want. But we ended up getting really nice & soft sleep clothes for really reasonable pricing. So it was still a win to me.

Being able to order online and drive up has been a life saver. Some days I just cant bring my son into the store. The people bringing the groceries out are always fantastic.

My son & I just left Walmart. Sarah was BEYOND helpful ~ she brought a cart so we could get a mini fridge AND helped us find the LAST small microwave! Thank you SO much, Sarah. You ROCK!

My Walmart in San Antonio have me spoil. But Iowa Walmart treating me like a queen. Everyone was so sweet and nice Hospitality was wonderful. I love investing my money in Walmart.

Very difficult to find product I was looking for. Did not see many staff person available to help locate my desired product. Lots of staff engaging in personal chit chat as consumers worked themselves thru the self check out lanes.Personally I find the whole idea of majority self check out a disservice to our communities.

At this location it is usually very easy to find what youre looking for. It is fairly easy to get what you need and check out quickly if you are prepared to scan and bag your own items. As with most Wal-Marts there are only a couple of lanes that have an actual person that can take care of the check out process for you.

Ive grown increasingly unhappy with Walmart stores since they have chosen to use COVID-19 as an excuse to shorten their store hours and claim it is for the purpose of restocking and sanitizing their stores. Thats funny, because since their change, the local stores have been more of a mess than they ever were before and three shelves certainly arent stocked consistently.My second complaint is their customer service... Or lack thereof. Apparently Walmart prefers to pay employees to stand around in the aisle chit chatting with each other about whatever local gossip interests them instead of paying them to actually work a register to checkout customers. I should have the OPTION of self checkout... Not be forced to do the job of a cashier. If Im doing their job, shouldnt I be getting some kind of pay for it?!?? Maybe a percentage discounted from my overall purchase??? Id be ok with that.Overall, Walmart is losing its value of convenience all around. I prefer to pay higher prices at the local grocery store rather than deal with the headache of Walmart shopping.

Took off one star, because the company as a whole is notoriously Toxic to employees, as well as the communities they infest. Also took off one star because after asking a person in a Wal-Mart uniform, wearing a Wal-Mart badge, and putting away Wal-Mart merchandise, for help, the reply I got was oh, I dont work here and then they got up and walked away. Upon asking 2 more employees, uh...do you work here? And getting a nope sure dont followed by Im about to go on break and then walking away without even calling to find someone to help me, I think that even my 3 stars maybe 2 stars to many. Fortunately, the last and final employee I talked to was very friendly, helpful, and got me taken care of in a very fast and professional manner. So, basically all 3 stars I gave were really just for that one employee that was incredible at their job.

Good although when in the store in Pella had a hard time finding staff that wanted to help they were all busy talking with other staff. Not one in 3 different groups offered to help me. So I spent an extra 15 min wondering bvv the store. Might not have been a bad thing but I needed to be some where. Check out was great.

I hate going here. I used to love Walmart but it turned into a big grey blob that seems to swallow your soul. I just want to purchase and leave as fast as possible, but they never have enough cashiers, and refuse to use the floor managers when they get slammed. I am glad they did not keep the low shelves lime the first major remodel because it really made you feel like the place was overwhelmingly huge, but it still just has an ominous utilitarian feel about it, kinda like visiting a prison.

Went to Visual Center and treatment I received was excellent. I felt really comfortable.

Kind friendly service! Associates were very helpful with helping find items in the store we was looking for.

The staff here are friendly and courteous. Any time Ive asked for help finding an item they stop what theyre doing to help. Ive had only one worker give me a bit of a hassle about a price but he did end up getting a manager and finding out that he/his scanner was wrong and finally fixed it. Lol . The store is clean and well organized making the shopping experience overall a good one.

I moved to town a couple months ago but have used this walmart more frequently than I did the one in my hometown. I feel the workers here are nicer, and do a better job. Small complaints: sometimes the customer service line gets long and you will see workers walking around and rarely do they open a second line. Meat selection isnt very good for a store of this size. I shop in the afternoon or evening. If its picked over, restock? Other than that very helpful staff that are almost always friendly. They take checking receipts seriously. There are bigger walmarts in Des Moines that dont do that! Like pretty much any walmart they are usually understaffed and have few checkers, but I dont usually mind that since I would rather self-check anyway.

Shelves are still not fully stocked. Only self serve check outs were open. Online ordering doesnt work for this pharmacy. I placed my order on Sunday and they never received it. This is the 2nd time this has happened. Good thing I called Wednesday morning to check on my order. One prescription out of stock. Going to look into Amazon Pharmacy.

They never have any lanes open and only the self checkouts. They get a 10% discount to watch me do their job. Also, I had a ton of groceries I was scanning and had them on the floor as my cart was still full of items, and one of the workers said you cant do that well, where am I supposed to put it Then? She gave me another cart and said fill this one up as you are scanning. Nice help lady.

Love the fact that its in and out but dont quite understand the being escorted to the register with sandpaper. Sandpaper is behind glass. Have to wait for assistance then escorted?

We were in Oskaloosa Wal Mart and they did have what we wanted after we had a tour as some employees were not sure and sent us to another area which sent us to another area whivh finally sent us to what we were looking for. So we did come out with what we wanted.

Ok place. Not much stocked on shelves. Maybe because of Sunday, and their trucks wont be in for another couple of days.

There was no check out people only self checkouts. I dont want to check myself out and bag it all. I did this time but will not do it again I will leave my full cart and go to another store that has checkers.!

Its a Wal-Mart. But its a Wal-Mart in a little rural college town in SE Iowa so thats an awesome thing from this college parents perspective.

They had to send my wedding ring to get sized so had gotten married without it! Sometimes they don’t have stuff in stock. Very upsetting.

Nice store for a smaller Walmart. Staffing is greatly lacking especially at the checkouts, so dont expect a quick checkout or self checkout. The employees seem to be trying without much help from management.

Its a wallyworld they result in smaller businesses shutting down but hey thats capitalism or something.

Im always a big fan of Wal Mart .... I love all the different items under one roof ; including groceries. I worked for Wal Mart for almost 20 years . I can tell that they truly want to treat their customers with the best available customer service. They want you to be a satisfied customer. If you have a problem they want to solve it for you. I learned a lot over my years there and enjoyed the interactions with customers and the people who I worked with.

Will NEVER be back. On top of being treated like a criminal when leaving(thanks WP) They had every single checkout closed and were forcing everyone thru self checkout, at noon, on a Monday. That is absolutely unacceptable especially for people with young children. The staff here is rude, dismissive and frankly just treats work like a social club where customers are a nusance. Go to fairway, the staff is well dressed, super friendly, and they bag your groceries and take them to your car with you AND load them. F** osky WalMart!

Auto Service Center is completely understaffed. They wouldn’t honor my appt. to have the tires I purchased at Walmart.com delivered there to be installed. I was told I couldn’t make an appointment for an oil change but I could for my tire install. I agreed that I would arrive early to get an oil change and have my tire appointment at 11 am. When I arrived I wasn’t down for an appointment at all. The associate checking us in was very helpful and said she would work us in between appointments but we were looking at 1.5 hours. We decided we could live with that. After 1 hour and 20 minutes my car hadn’t moved out of the oil side bay. I talked to a manager and she instructed them to move it to the tire bay and have the tires installed. A half hour later my vehicle was finally pulled into the bay and the install started. Three hours in the Oskaloosa Walmart to have tires installed when you have an appointment is unacceptable. I do appreciate Manager Bobbi Jo for giving instructions to the service employees to “expedite” my install. I’ll be giving my business to local garages in the future.

Its a typical Walmart, no check outs ever open..only self, never able to find an associate if you need help, and poor customer service. But they do stock a wide variety of items compared to other Walmart stores and usually have what I need.

Needed supplies for camp. Found everything and checked out in record time.

Hot wheels and Matchbox csrs are never stocked up, and NEVER ANY CHECKERS working, so you gave to self check out.

The employees are so helpful, take their job seriously, work as a team, and seem happy to be there. Store is clean and organized. Selection and prices are nice as well.

I will not return to Walmart. The self checkout policy is an insult. I am trying to scan everything and 3 times their is a scanning error prompting me to scan again or else get a cashier to fix it. Guess what my receipt shows same items scanned twice, and then said cashier cant refund my money, I have to go to the service desk. Walmart doesnt even pay them a living wage to just stand around. And their oldest employee is standing out in the cold entryway cleaning carts!!!!

Dirty. Not clean and COVID friendly. Sadly customers destroy this place faster than the employees can clean it. By far safer and nicer staff than other Walmart’s in the area. This place has a tire service and their tire service is slow and disorganized too.

Selection of items changes, low inventory on items, and horrible self check outs. Ugh. Drives us insane to have employees stand and watch us check out.

The only checkout stations open were self- checkouts, not a fun experience when you have a cart load of produce. Will not shop there for groceries again.

Stayed overnight in our 42ft 5th wheel RV. Signs say no truck or trailer parking but we called and they allowed us to stay overnight no problems. We stayed near a couple other RVs and a semi trailer. Quiet night since the store closed at 10pm.

Its a Walmart, generally helpful, considerate, nice and polite people.

It is not user friendly to the Elderly or Disable. Only using one door. Have to walk the length of the store for some items. Try to avoid. This is how I feel.
