Solid experience. In and out fairly quickly for a hitch install. Establishment was clean, well organized and plenty of moving supplies. Manager was very nice and Stanley has exceptional customer service skills.
Had some issues with customer service at the corporate level during my reservation, but the Manager at this location was very helpful. No issues with my reservation at this location.
So I reserved a trailer online. I also did express check in online with credit card, all personal info, and uploaded pics of front and back of my drivers license. I pulled up front, parked and went in. This was 10 am Saturday and I was the only customer there-that should have been a clue. The guy at the counter asked me to move my car to a parking spot. The area that I parked was not marked as no parking and was not blocking the equip return Iane. See photo. So I moved my car 10 feet-mine is the black Honda CRV. before I moved I was in the area circled in red. When I go back in 2 min later no one is around. I had to wait 10 min for someone to show up. Then he asks for my license and credit card. I told him I did express and they had all that. He said he needed it again. He verified all the info that I filled in online and asked for an alternate phone number. I told him I just had one but he said he couldn’t rent to me without another phone number. I was pretty hot at this point as I had wasted 20 min with this jerk. I should note that I had the manager involved at this point and he had the same attitude. I left and went to the U-Haul on Goldenrod. They were busy but I was in and out in 10 min. They didn’t even ask for an alternate phone number.
Good service and very patient, I will rent again from them.😀
Nice people, quick service but horrendous truck. 17 foot truck had over 174,000 miles, was wobbly and the drivers door didn’t fully close. The noise from the wind with the windows closed was awful and the truck is absolutely not fit for the highway. Shameful that UHaul would put people at danger by having this vehicle on the road still.
We needed a van to drive round trip to Ft. Lauderdale. The Van was filthy. Seats were FULL of dog hair and trash was left behind the seats. The outside was no better.. It was obvious that even during pandemic, cleanliness is not a priority.

I did have some of the same complaints as other reviewers but my reciew is based completely on this location. I had a few issues and the last being Ubox support telling me that I will receive my delivery after 3pm and that a driver will call ahead of time with real time. However, the driver called at 8am to drop off at 9am and the building management were not open yet (the parking spot not blocked off as promised ) so I had to leave it in the loading dock. The driver was also very helpful by offering to pick it up next day. I then spent 45 minutes with Ubox support run around to confirm the next day pickup, which they could not. It was Greg at this location, who expedictiously solved the issue and scheduled the driver for the next day. UHAUL is full of bad customer service but this is one time, I was appreciative to receive assistance when I really needed it. I was transferred so many times with the 800 number and each time the person directed me to another department. I agree with reviewers about the frustration of dealing with Ubox support. However, this review is solely based on this location and I am satisfied here. Thanks!
I got a hitch installed at the Baldwin Park location because the winter park location has been so terrible in the past. Well we will never use any uhaul ever again. We dropped the car off and they said they’d call when it was finished, nobody called. So I called when it was nearing the end of the day and they said it was done. My husband went to pick it up and after a 20 min wait for no apparent reason he was able to pick up the car but nobody gave him any explanation of the work that had been done. He had to ask for ball which we had already paid for since they weren’t going to give it to us. When he got home we discovered that the wiring is in the trunk and not on the outside of the vehicle. I called in the next day to ask if this is correct or if the job hadn’t been completed and the guy on the other end of the line was having a conversation with somebody else and not even paying attention on the phone. When I told him that was inappropriate, HE HUNG UP ON ME! So, I don’t recommend uhaul for any service, I’ve used them all and had issues with each and every one. Any money spent avoiding this place is money well spent.
The truck i received from this location had bees in the cab and the driver was stung. When brought to the attention of the manager he did nothing about it and showed no emotion to the driver getting stung. He basically called me a liar even after seeing pictures of a dozen bees in the truck. He said he found nothing in the truck and would do nothing about it. I will never go to this location again. Extremely poor customer service. Terrible management!!!! I would not recommend this location to anyone
These folks are awesome. Ive been doing business with this location, when Im in town, for 6 months now. Sometimes 3-4 times a week. Corporate account out of southern California. Whatever we need, Mike (the general manager) makes it happen.Trucks. Trailers. Gear. They handle it all. I dont get just my professional moving equipment from them, I use them for my own personal requirements as well. I recommend Mikes staff and services to anyone and everyone who needs them. Ive rented their equipment to move out entire homes, cars, motorcycles, boats...
Great customer service! I had a warranty repair and they fixed it very fast and without any problems! I will be back next time I need a hitch installation or a rental van!
These service at this location was phenomenal.I had a truck for 24 hours and a trailer for a few afterwards, and changing the equipment took about 10 minutes, and they even hooked up the trailer for me. Not only that, but when we told them the trailer was to move a piano, the assistant manager came out and turned my hitch bar and ball upside down so that the trailer would ride more level, which 100% saved us from scraping a curb as we pulled away from our old apartment.The sales service was very friendly. The location was not very busy at several different points on a Saturday. The equipment worked as expected with no trouble except the sun visor in the truck wouldnt lock into place and kept drifting into my line of sight. All in all, one of my more pleasant U-Haul experiences.
I paid for an utility dolly and and half dozen of furniture pads with my 10 truck rental and none of those items were given to me. As I had move out under time constraints, I could not go back to this location as I had to do the moving from Orlando to Tampa. I called a Uhaul customer service number and the only option they gave me was to go back to this location and talk to them and did not offer to give me my money back to my credit card when everything today is done online. I PAID FOR SOMETHING I DID NOT GET!!! I will not recommend this location as also the guy at the counter was not friendly at all, was in a hurry, and did not even care to check if the truck had those items I paid for. My money was stolen at this location. IN ADDITION, I only inquired about the in town moving and did not change my reservation and they changed it so I would be charged more and return the truck to Orlando. Why would I want to do the $19.99 in-town moving plus 0.79 per mile extra charge if I could just pay one rate of dropping the truck in Tampa and pay less??? Makes no sense. They just wanted to charge me more.
The U-Box rental and shipping is one of the most confusing things Ive ever attempted to do. After making an appointment online, I noticed the pick-up reservation was set for the wrong place. The live chat on the website sent me to a scheduling phone line, which sent me to this location to set up my actual reservation. So... whats the point of making a reservation online if I also have to set it up over the phone anyway?I attempted to set up my reservation over the phone with a man at the Baldwin Park location. First, he told me I would have to pick up the U-Box from the Goldenrod location. I have no idea why, because he then changed his mind and said the Baldwin Park location would work just fine. Ultimately, I was sent a confirmation for the Goldenrod location but was so confused I forgot it wasnt the right location.The person who was supposed to help me pick up the box was sick, so I attempted to call the store to see if I could pick it up later today or even tomorrow. I tried calling the same number Id used to reach the storebefore but was sent to a call center line with a wait time of over 20 minutes. My reservation didnt mention I had to pick up at a certain time, so I gave up trying to reach someone and figured Id just try to make it today.Thankfully, the person helping me was starting to feel better, so around noon I went to the store where I thought my pickup was scheduled - Baldwin Park. The girl behind the desk looks up my reservation, then excuses herself. She returns and doesnt say anything to me. A man approaches the desk, reads the computer, then leaves. No one says anything to me. I ask if theres something wrong with the reservation. She tells me Im at the wrong location for my reservation, which doesnt matter, because both locations were out of boxes and my pickup has been changed to CLERMONT.I live in Oviedo, fam. No one had called or emailed to say the location had been changed, let alone check and make sure that would work for me.I asked if there was anywhere closer I could pick up a box. One of the men mentioned a location on Narcoossee. I asked if they could confirm that location would have a box available. They tried to call the office, but the man said that the store was forwarding their calls to the call center, which at least confirmed my suspicion from when I had tried to reach them. Finally, someone managed to get someone from the other location on a different number to confirm that they didnt have any boxes either.Of the four people behind the desk, no one attempted to appear helpful or apologetic. When I misheard one of them and attempted to clarify, they corrected me, snickering and muttering things under their breath. I asked when they could do and they told me my only option was to get a box from Clermont. I told them I would figure out another way to get my belongings shipped and left.I would definitely not recommend this store, since the entire staff are apathetic and snarky, but I would also say avoid using a U-Box in general. The entire system is convoluted and buggy. Spend the extra money and get yourself a POD or UPack - thats what Ill be doing.
I wrote my compliments at the wrong store. The E. Colonial store is my go-to place. Everyone is great. The service is always top notch!
Very helpful and pleasant to work with! Drop- off was simple and they even called to let us know we forgot our e-pass in the truck once we had left.
I have rented trucks and trailers off and on from this facility for over 10 years. It is well run and I have always received excellent service. I recently went to another uhaul to rent and after a bad experience there, came back here the same day. They got me hooked up and moving in no time. I highly recommend them.
I made an appointment to install a hitch in my car for yesterday at 4pm. I gave my card information over the phone. canceled all my commitments, drove 30 miles to the store 4001 east colonial dr. When I arrived at the store, they told me that they could not do the installation any more that day. I made another appointment for the next day at 9am, canceled my appointments, drove another 45 minutes, left the car in the shop and waited at Wawa in front of the store for 1:40. after 1:40 they called me from the shop saying they did not have the piece for my car. I lost my Sabbath and half of Sunday and could not complete the installation. I do not recommend.
Beware. The owner of this facility does not treat people fairly. I would NOT recommend this business under any circumstances.My daughter attends Rollins College and rented a unit for 3 months between housing issues. She moved out after hours and left the unit empty, but made two mistakes: she put the lock back on and did call the next day to let them know it was available for rent. A credit card charge on the following monthss statement is how this oversight was detected. Despite numerous phone calls, visits to the facility and discussions with Management, my credit card ended up being charged for 5 more months or a total of 6 months of charges after recognizing the oversight and contacting the business.Finally, an agreement to split the difference where we get refunded 3 months of charges and they keep 3 months was accepted regretfully. But I am still waiting to receive the refund processed to my credit card - its been four months and four stops into the business. Every time I stop in and visit the Manager, he tells me he processed it and it should be on my next months statement. Now, he is not returning calls. BEWARE.

I originally used the U-pods (which were very convenient to use since they come straight to your property for you to load) to store my boxes. However, when I asked if I could retrieve an item from one of my boxes it seemed that noone was available to access them. After retrieving the box I was immediately shocked to see that my lock was no where on the box and the latch was completely torn off. So basically anyone could have gone through my possessions... luckily nothing was missing. They offerred another storage option and even helped me move my items safely in. They helped turn a bad situation into a good one which Id like to credit to them.
Horrible experience. The lights on the back of my vehicle are not working right only a few months after they installed the hitch. I’ve contacted uhaul several times and was told the GM would contact me and never has. Not to mention after the hitch was put on they never bothered to reattach my muffler. Didn’t realize it until I had gotten home and had to fix it myself. I don’t recommend this place to anyone. Horrible management and customer service.
They keep blocking my storage unit. The bank is letting me void off 6 months of rent
Make sure you take pictures of your miles. They will try to charge you for twice the miles and not return call when you try to challenge it. This location has made me swear off the company.
I love the attitude that I received from Michelle and the manager Ed when I came it to get a rental truck they showed how must the customers meant to them by making moving so easy from me to them at the Sanford Uhaul store thanks a bunch for the great spirit you show us I give you all a 5 star for that .Mary Alice Williams 10-1-2015 keep up the great work
Wanted to know if I could drop off a truck from another U-Haul location in Daytona. Waited on hold for well over 10 minutes and finally hung up. Drove the truck their, dropped it off and was told I was all set and would receive an e-mail confirmation which I never did. Called the next day and was told I would receive a call back from U-HAUL and never did.Didnt even bother going to speak with a manager because I figured I would just get stuck waiting.What a joke this location is, avoid it if you can.

3 times the agent interrupted our transaction to take a phone call. One of the times was to train a different employee in how to update a scheduled delivery.Do it on your time, not on mine.If there was another option, I would have left and shopped elsewhere.
Made appointment and paid online to install a hitch receiver. Called to ask a question about the install and they told me they didnt have anyone to do the install and made me reschedule for the next day.
Not bad as far as U-haul places go.

Customer service was horrible! Move with no sense of urgency as if the customer has to wait on them! Then i was told you have to fill your propane tank up all the way or you get nothing at all his exact words.
They last minute screwed up my reserved order but they resolved it.
Thirty minutes and still waiting for a propane refill. Slowest service in town!
