I cannot say nicer things about my experience at this U-Haul. Nathan was an absolute wonderful human being, and amazing at his job. Even through unforeseen challenges he made the experience as pleasant as he possibly could and showed patience and understanding beyond what was required from someone in his position. Every company should have a Nathan working for them.
Nathan and all his staff are awesome!! This place stays busy but Nathan makes it smooth as possible. Good communication, instructions, great attitudes and manners. Would give 10 stars if I could!
The management in this location is not deserving of one star! It has been over ten years since my first uhaul rental, from my first rental until now, I have done several Uhaul rentals including trailes, trucks, vans, storage, etc. This is by far the worst customer service I have ever received from a business (any business). To start, we had a reservation for a storage unit which was made over a week prior to checkin. Upon arrival, we were told that they were over booked and there was no storage available. Keep in mind that this was the moving day, truck was full and ready to be unloaded. The guys the were at the location (not the manager) were very professional and polite. However, when the manager was available, two days later, he was no help, as a matter of fact he was the opposite of help. Nathaniel was rude, condescending, totally disrespectful, and blamed every one but himself for the issue. He knew for a week that he did not have the unit available (he said it over the phone) and did nothing. He couldve informed us, but instead he waited until the time of checking for his employees to deal with it. (Nathaniel was not at the location)Long story short, things were made half right, but not until we contacted customer service and made a complaint followed up by and additional complaint direct with his superiors.So if you are not happy with the customer service that you received, dont only leave a review, take the time to make a formal complaint. Who knows, maybe someone will hear and take action on your concerns.Nathaniel needs serious training on his management and customer service skills.
This location is incredibly slow and disorganized. The employees do not seem very experienced except for the owner and it is really frustrating. It really upset me and threw a wrench in my plans when they told me I could not drop off after hours or else incur $100 fee. After I returned the vehicle, the associate sent me inside to complete the process. I waited about 20-30 minutes just to receive a printout of the receipt that I already received through email. If you have rented from U-Haul several times previously like me, beware that its not supposed to be like this.

So angry now. Returning my truck. After I checked in online it says to drop my keys in the lock box. As I was looking for the lock box I see a sign on the door that say No lock box and do not leave the equipment here on the property or you will be charged $100. Well the rep did not tell me this when he handed me my keys. Who stops and read signs on the door when they have a million things to do.So after moving all day Im stuck on the phone for an hour trying to resolve this issue.
This is the worst uhaul location. The staff is rude, they reserve vehicles they don’t have in stock and when you get there to pick up the vehicle they send you to another location. They never call you and tell you they don’t have the vehicle they just wait till you get there and act like it’s no big deal to have to drive across town to get the vehicle they were supposed to have. The employees are extremely rude and treat you like you are bothering them when you come in to pick up the vehicle. I rent from uhaul for my business several times a month, this Kirkman road location is by far the worst Uhaul location in Orlando. The guys outside are great, but the office staff is horrible.
I went in today had a reservation. Forgot my credit card. In which I told the rep. Once I came back Terry Radice told me once I left my reservation canceled. Poor customer service, races, unprofessional. Misleading and again poor customer service this place needs an audit check. I wish I could give zero stars!
Spend your money here at your own risk. It’s an old lady that checked me in that is the meanest in town. Customer service does not exist at this place. Youve been warned!
I had a bad experience here . I was stuck in the parking lot and got hung up on after calling customer service . I had to go to work the next day and I had no transportation due to my car being stuck there with two trucks blocking the gate Wendy the manager inform me she’s sorry it will not happen one in a million time but people always leave their truck at the gate very unsure .so be careful because you may get stuck like me because I was scared at 9 pm to know that was dropping something off and to leave but I didn’t leave until 11 something because I was scared to walk even though the gates were open two trucks block them. I got stuck and did not make it home at a timely manner I’ve never had a problem but the customer service skill has to be better I’m paying 100 dollars plus here I expect to know that if I have a 24 hour service that’s what I’ll get as said and not the opposite. Customer service need to be better
I wasnt pleased with our initial interaction/greeting. The lady that assisted with my reservation was an older lady full of sarcasm and keen comments. She asked for my ID without first checking the system to see that I had already uploaded it as I was advised to do based off a phone conversation days prior. Their system seemed to be a little slow yet she would rush me to sign and or agree when it wasnt showing on the screen that I was viewing. This same lady made a comment to her coworker that was rude and may be considered racist to some. This was our first time at this establishment and we felt lost in the process. We walked out to get the truck which was told to us was ready but in fact was not. When they finally pulled truck up, there was a lock hanging on a latch. I inquired about the key and was told that it was with the key to the truck. The interior of the truck wasnt clean. It contained a stick substance on the steering wheel, dash as well as the window. Later that day after packing truck I use lock that was previously mentioned only to find out there wasnt a key. I called and spoke to a gentleman that was very helpful. He advised me to take a pic and text it to him. He made it to my home within 15 minutes to break that lock. I would say he by far was the most helpful and informative person representing Uhaul that exudes great customer service. I wish I remembered his name but I unfortunately do not. It wasnt the worst experience but most definitely not the best.

Arrived at 7:30 am to pick up my 26’ rental truck. Associate was helpful and pretty speedy at getting me in my rental truck. After a long day of moving in the Florida heat and summer I arrived back at the store to drop off the truck. While waiting in the rain where it says to drop off the truck a U-Haul worker walked by several times as if he was lost but still did not assist. Finally Luis showed up and asked how everything was. I explained it was great thanks. Luis then proceeded to check the truck out and look for the moving blankets that were rented. After noticing the blankets were not folded he explained that they would need folded or U-Haul would charge me $25.00. At this point the other worker Hector arrived and Luis explained what happened and that during the walk through it was not explained that they would need folded. Hector said he needs to fold them or charge him. I explained inreceieved the truck with 3/8 of a tank of fuel and not knowing the vehicle filled it up to later return it with over 3/4 of a tank how about we call it even. Hector said “it doesn’t work that way buddy” at this point Luis and another worker Terry decided to help me fold the moving blankets. Would have been a great review if Hector was not working today when I arrived to drop off the truck. Luis and terry are real stand up guys who know real customer service.

No residential propane refill after 20 minutes, two trips to the office and being told he is on his way, I went elsewhere. And now they have lost me as a customer for life. I went with rhino trade in.
Not up front about the fact that debit cards cannot be used when renting a van, you must have a major credit card. When I asked the older lady at the counter why you werent upfront about this she said to be frankly honest, Uhaul doesnt really care of the Inconvenience it causes to a customer. I will make sure to carry this review to all social media platforms I participate in and will not use your company any further.

I rented their cargo truck twice in one week, as well as a storage unit. From management to the staff, service was EXCELLENT! Nate (a office staff team member) went out of his way to help me. Definitely recommend this location. Clean, courteous, and professional!

I had a reservation, when I arrived the office was closed. I spoke with the uhaul representative who said I have to go somewhere else, as I had other people in front of me. Despite the fact 2 trucks were sat in the car park. Useless
Employee came right out when he saw us pull up, courteous and quick to help get us disconnected and on our way. Dropping a trailer we had picked up a day earlier at Sarasota.

Would rather opt for 4.5, but no option. One small annoyance with the person at check-in... pushy behavior and seemed annoyed when we didn’t opt to pay for the extras. That’s the only reason I’m docking a half a star. The gentleman that helped me at check-out, though, was very helpful with a positive, funny attitude. A very decent experience overall :)
Smooth Experience. Ive used this place for truck rentals 4-5 times and its never an issue. They are always friendly and dont try and charge for crazy stuff. I would suggest this location.
Storage models displayed at the office do not match the measurement. So they encourage you to rent the biggest one. for instance, At front they have 10 x 10, but the model looks like 5 x 10, so immediately, we as customer choice the biggest one instead of the 10 x 10 due to its dimensions.
DO NOT PLASTER SIGNS EVERYWHERE ABOUT 24/7 RETURNS IF YOU DONT OFFER IT. If you want to get trapped on an unsafe unsecure lot for 2 hours in the middle of the night do business with this location. I booked a one way rental from Tampa and came to drop off at this location after hours as I was told I could by both Uhaul and the office i rented from. After driving onto the lot and calling customer service because i couldnt find a place to park the truck they informed me that this location wont take one way rentals. So I drove to the gate and found out there is NO WAY out of the lot. The gate wont open without a specialized remote. Wendy Ford the GM has her number plastered everywhere for after hour help but she doesnt bother to answer and lets it go to voicemail. Also “24 Hour surveillance” is non-existent they do not answer any calls. Theres no one at the location and no one watching the video feed. I was calling for over an hour with no response.I finally got out after 2 hours when I waited for 45 minutes for the emergency line to get me an access code so I could leave. If you do not offer overnight returns DO NOT PLASTER SIGNS EVERYWHERE ABOUT 24/7 returns. All I did was follow the instructions for return on my phone and it got me locked in for hours. It was unsafe and probably illegal. I really hope UHAUL revokes this places licensing if they cant even uphold the basic functions the company supposedly offers in its contracts.
Rodent problems at this facility. After only 2 weeks of moving my Harley Davidson and miscellaneous belongings to temporary storage here, I went to my unit to find a major pile of “chewings” under my motorcycle. The mice/rodents had eaten out the bottom of the seat of my motorcycle. I removed the seat and the entire battery compartment was full of eaten seat. “evidence” of mice/rats were present and photographed/witnessed by u-haul employees in the unit on my boxes and belongings. Turns out the bait boxes in the unit did not have any bait in them either.Further to that, one of the employees shared with me that management knows about the problem at this facility. I tried to amicably resolve the issue of replacing my seat with local management to no avail. The manager refused to work with me on the issue and referred to their insurance company as a matter of their standard practice. Since I did not have “U-haul” extra insurance, they would not take care of the replacement of the seat. The insurance company did not see any need to resolve the claim as they do not “cover” motor vehicles.I think that U-Haul should take some general responsibility to provide a non-destructive environment for the storage of a customer’s valuables. I really cannot believe that this company does not want to do ANYTHING in reference to this situation! Fortunate for me, this was a $350 seat, but I would NOT recommend that anyone place their belongings at this facility! It could cost you a whole lot more than it cost me. Only 2 weeks! Imagine if I had left my belongings there for an extended period! Fortunately I found out early and got out early!

Great staff and very accommodating. Had a reservation for a one-way truck to Texas and had to postpone a couple times over 2 weeks. When the day finally came, I was in/out of there in a few minutes.
Easy to get in and out of, love the climate control. Only issue, I wish there was more parking out front.
I went there twice already and they were pretty helpful. I didnt need anything bigger than a 10 footer, but all they had was 14 footer. I was in a hurry, so she charged me for the rice of the 10 footer plus 100 miles free!!! I was going to Tampa, FL and a one way trip. So, it all worked out in the end. Theyre good and have a much bigger selection than anywhere else in that area.
I got a great price for the storage here but the customer service sucks . I was stuck at the storage parking lot for almost 3 hours in the rain in the dark with no help after calling uhaul customer service ..... The lady I spoke to said she will get help and no one ever showed up and I got hung up on this was terrible I was scared because they have a bush facing the lot with a short fence as I was explaining my self Wendy the manager told me maybe I should go somewhere else and she’s sorry that I was stuck she can take the 10 dollar charge off for the 24 hour service ....... I’m late to work because of this and I almost had to sleep in the parking lot of the uhaul because there was no way out due to being block by two trucks at the gate and another behind me

Wendy Ford apparently is the owner and was completely rude. She had the nerve to tell my boyfriend and I that we were being nasty to her. She did not properly explain the charges and I ended up being charged for insurance that I never authorized. After this experience I will NEVER use Uhaul again.
Rented a truck here it was nice and easy but there is no overnight dropoff so get it in early.

I left my hand gun in a locked box under the front seat of a truck that I returned.I didnt remember it until the next dayWent to the office to try to pick it upLadies and manager in office told me they didnt find any gun and that they were not responsible for any personal items left in the trucks. I had to call the cops and file a report.The manager told the cops that she needs to contact the next person who rented the truck after me to see if they found it. Turns out one of the young guys that works there found it and they knew he did. They broke open the locked box and found the gun and was practcing to shoot with it. I got the gun back in a honeybun box the next day. I called uhaul corporate office and they told me they are not responsible for my personal property....all I can think is this is not jewlery this is a weapon and they did not think it was a big deal......will never rent from here againThey found it knew whose it was and didnt have the decency to return it...... Not a good place to do business with😞😞😞
I went to the U-Haul truck it’s my third time using that you are at this location The employee was very rude very disrespectful I had to go to our other location on west colonial Inn where there were very professional and well mannered would not recommend kirkman location to not even my dog

Gave us an old dinky truck and said it was the only truck at that size they had left. Steering on the truck was terrible. And one of the old tires on the truck popped one the way back.. And they charged us for the repair even though the tire was clearly rotting and old
WORST Service Ever- I was falsely charged for a cleaning fee when I returned the vehicle the same way I got it. The manager Hector was not helpful and I wasted over an hour dealing with the issue. I complained to customer service. NEVER rent from the uhal on Kirkman unless you want to deal with problems.
