The team that completed my move was amazing! They were fast and professional. The way they loaded the truck was a work of art in and of itself. My crew had very experienced movers who knew exactly what they were doing. 100 percent recommended and will use again!

If I could have given them ten stars, I would have! This was BY FAR the easiest move I have had with professional movers. And Ive moved a lot! The truck rolled up exactly at the time indicated. The three young men doing the moving were personable, professional, and efficient. One asked me if I was ready to see the fastest move of my life, and he wasnt kidding! They didnt waste a moment of time, and got right to work carefully wrapping up even my shabbiest furnishings.The whole process starts with a quick overview of the contract and expectations, and a walk through of my premises to get an idea of what furnishings were included. Then they literally started a timer to show exactly how long the move took in reality. They packed up quickly, but still remained personable throughout, joking with one another and with me. It was kind of fun watching them work! We finished with a walkthrough to make sure nothing had been missed, then we drove in our separate vehicles directly to the new place.The same process occurred in reverse. A quick walkthrough to get the layout and an idea of where I wanted everything and then they were off like a flash unloading the truck. Everything was placed exactly where I wanted it, and with no damage to either my furnishings or the walls. That was quite a feat since they had to haul my washer and dryer up a cruelly narrow and steep stairway to the 2nd floor! At the end, they literally stopped the clock and the move came in an hour ahead of schedule and about $200 under the projected estimate! Great work.We did a last look at the truck to make sure everything was off, and then they went on their way to the next job with a cheerful goodbye! I would definitely use 1776 Moving again for in-town service! They were perfect!Update: Maybe less than perfect! I have revised my review down considerably. Today I discovered that one of my dining room chair legs still had packing tape from the move wrapped around it. Upon unwrapping the tape, I discovered that the tape was actually being used to hold the leg together. It had totally snapped in half. Rather than bringing the break to my attention (and I would have said no problem since its an older set and breaks happen), they wrapped the leg in packing tape and hid the chair at the table. Its obvious the tape was being used to repair the leg and hide the break. Thats totally unprofessional, and could have resulted in a serious problem if someone had unknowingly been seated at the table on that chair when the leg gave way.Update 2: I was contacted by the company who offered to repair the chair. Its good as new, but they still should have told me about the damage rather than hiding it. I shudder to think what could have happened if the chair had broken with someone sitting in it.

This is the best moving company. They take the time to wrap every piece of furniture. The guys that did the move were so great as well. Very professional and quick. The move was completed with no damage to our furniture.Also the quote was a little higher than the actual cost so I wasn’t surprised with any overage charges. This is a very well run company! Called 1776 on a referral. They moved by brothers 2 x this spring -- from house to storage- to new house. His experience was wonderful!).Crystal was so pleasant to work with and walked me through the process covering all of the details, answering all my questions. and being able to view and update the information on the web (as I remembered items) was great. Their rice was much better than other moving companies in the area - and Crystal ensured that I had everything I needed, but was not pushy or suggest unneeded add ons (as the other 2 companies I called for quotes). Crystal even called the day prior to ensure all was in order! Then day of the move, the movers showed up on time, professional, courteous and so pleasant. This was a big move for us and very stressful - they made it so easy for us! We could not have asked for a better experience from start to finish it was wonderful! I can only give 5 stars but they are 10 stars!

Update as of October 7 - 2 stars:The claim to get my frame replaced was denied. They said that I never put the bed frame together correctly in the first place, and that was the reason for denying the claim. However this is untrue, weve been using the bed for many months with no issues with the frame. It was put together properly and had no dent or damage to it until the frame was moved. I see that the owner made a comment on my review, I will call them today to see if the owner will resolve the situation directly. Because their claims department denied my claim, which is a rather small value, for what feels like an unfair reason I have downgraded this review from 3 stars to two stars. If the owner can rectify the situation directly and replace my frame, I will update the review and the rating.Original Review - 3 starsOur move went okay. The crew was on time and very efficient. However, the bed frame was damaged during the move. Its been over a month and Im still waiting for my claim to be processed so that I can get a new frame. In the meantime Im sleeping on a bed with a huge dip in it, due to the broken frame. It is very uncomfortable. I shared this with the company but they did nothing other than to refer me to the website to file a claim. I have no idea how much longer Im going to have to wait to get this resolved but a month of poorer sleep feels too long.

Unfortunately had a horrible experience with what I can only assume was contracted out labor by 1776. Team of 3 arrived late and by the time the move was finished, our charge was 50% more than the original quote. Multiple items were damaged in the process as well.

My husband and moved from Georgia to Florida. We haven’t moved in 22 years, so we were quite nervous about the move. Jamie was our customer service representative. She was so kind, patience and answer all my questions and concerns. When the moving team arrived Quincy, Jerome and forgive me I think the 3rd guy’s name was Kenny. They were professional, friendly, worked efficiently and treated our items as if they were moving their own home. They were also the same team who delivered our items in Florida and again the same of level professionalism and friendliness. Nothing was damaged and everything intact after unpacking. Without a doubt we will use them again for our next move hopefully to our forever home. Thank you to all involved in 1776 moving for making our move a pleasant one. The 3 men that moved my home and its contents were kind and considerate. They had to make 2 stops before the final destination. They were excellent and would highly recommend this company and the people that work for them.

Overall I had a good experience. The office staff was very responsive and amazing at answering my questions and keeping me updated on everything beforehand. The guys that moved us were great and very nice, however they did seem tired by the time they arrived probably due to our time slot being so late in the day. The move was a good bit more than what I was quoted which in turn made it to where I was not able to tip the movers as much as I would have liked and I felt bad. Overall they did well and things went smoothly.

About an hour late but not their fault. Very fast and efficient, completed the job is less time than estimated. After all was done the final price was $200 less than our quote. Would definitely recommend and use them again. Guys were very friendly and accommodating.

We moved across town from a rental to our new home. 2 movers arrived on time at 9 AM, wearing masks as requested, and did a walk through with us. Then, they quickly and efficiently packed up our stuff, including some bulky fitness equipment, and had it moved across town and unloaded into our new home by 12:30 PM! It was painless and really helpful, and the price point was fair for the work involved. Gave us peace of mind moving 4 months after my hernia repair sot hat I would be sure not to overdo it! Thanks!

Everything was fine until one of their movers damaged an antique bookcase that was purchased in England in 1980. They refused to accept responsibility until I provided before and after pictures, then they refused to pay for repairs because I couldnt produce a 40 year old bill of sale. This company isnt qualified to move my bowels. Theyre the most dishonest, unprofessional, company Ive come across in a long time.

We moved to our new apartment recently. The best overall value for moving services. We were very pleased with the attention to detail. The movers were very courteous and worked very hard. We liked they wrapped everything and took very care of our belongings. We had no damages at all. We will be recommending 1776 Moving and Storage, Inc to our family and friends.

Quincy and the other gentle man was very good at what they do they schedule me for 2 1/2 hours and Thea gentleman got it done quicker they were very consistent at their work and I would recommend this company to any one.

The WORST moving experience I have ever had! DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!! I cannot load all of the pictures of the damages, because it will surpass the limit allowed to upload, as I have over 20 pictures of all the damages. At the end after I was extremely upset at all the damages and lack of care, they were over charging me and put down more hours than what they actually worked. The driver called someone at the office that was not helpful at all. I was then given the owners name and number to call. I called and left a message 4 days ago and he has not returned my call. If the owner doesnt care, why should the employees, right! To say I am very upset and disappointed at the lack of care, quality and customer support is an understatement.

I hired this company to move and store my items. I always had a very nice experience with the office anytime I called. The movers that moved our stuff out were very nice and effecient but the team that moved us in werent nice or very effective. We got charged over two hundred dollars more to move in then it cost to move out even though the company stated it would be the same cost. On top of everything, as others have mentioned, this company pawns you off on another company if anything is broken. That insurance company is terrible and has no motivation to help you. I wouldnt recommend and will use someone else next time.

Jaime was a pleasure to deal with. She was informative and helpful. The movers were extremely efficient and fast. However that’s where it ends. They damaged several pieces of furniture, caused damage to both of the homes and I am missing an item. Our move was literally less than a mile. The solution from the operations manager was simply to file a claim.

From the person who came to my home to work on the quote to the Sales Representative I talked over the phone (Jaime), every person was professional and nice.The crew showed up on time, they were very polite and accommodating. You get what you pay for. I wanted to really like this company but unfortunately they let me down. They gave me the best quote by far and free storage which was great. They got my stuff from point A to point B. The positives end there. The first crew completely scratched up my stainless steel fridge and front door trying to get it out. The next crew delivered to my new address. They were more careful with my items. This crews downfall was rebuilding bed frames. They struggled building one in particular and I told them I’d take care of it. I later rebuilt it myself and came to find out hardware and a wooden piece were completely missing. Both instances I signed the paperwork at the end because I just wanted them gone which I know was a mistake. Hiring a moving company should make your life easier and stress free. I just can’t recommend this company based on my personal experience.Edit to respond to owner:Complete and utter lie. You just held my fridge for 2 weeks at the end of July/early August. No need to lie just because you received an honest review that wasn’t good.

This is a great moving company. From start (initial contact) through to the completion of the move, everything went smoothly. The staff were very accommodating regarding change of moving date. The boys turned up on after a slight slight address misadventure. All three of the movers, Dave, Anthony and Malik were very good and very careful at their work .They loaded, moved and unloaded in a very agreeable length of time and the total cost was far better than the original quote. I highly recommend Flor in the office to the 3 fellas on the truck, their expertise and experience made for a well planned and executed move.

This company Reckless and Careless with your property. Worst part, they are not really insured, they want to offer me a $13 reimbursement for breaking the trunk in the images, thats it. They broke furniture and appliances that are not covered (how convenient). Still dealing with the adjuster and Michael with 1776 through a BBB complaint. Movers were smoking while working and beyond unprofessional and slow! Do yourself a favor and UHAUL your stuff! Worst experience Ive ever had!

Jon and his team at 1776 did a great job with our move. After interviewing several companies, we went with 1776 at the recommendation of our realtor. We were not disappointed and would use them for any future moves.

If I could give this company negative stars I would. John completely lies about how many hours it took them to load and unload the truck and about how much everything would cost. We sold our house and we’re not closing on a new one for three weeks. We had 1776 move our furniture and store it. They quoted us one price (and we figured it might cost a lot more) and it ended up costing twice as much. On top of that, the movers did not assemble our furniture correctly and many boxed labeled FRAGILE were seriously damaged. A lot of our expensive furniture was also seriously damaged. It’s taken me hours to fix their issues. We had several items that were broken or missing completely. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.10/30 Update to this...They destroyed one of our brand new flat screen t.v.s. What a terrible company.

Efficient and fast moving experience. Make sure you ask for Larry and Tyrone! I have used movers many times in the past. When two movers arrived, I was a little worried about the time, but to my surprise these two men worked faster and harder than a crew of four.. I am very grateful and impressed with the work ethics of these two men and will always ask for them in the future. Not only did this company provide great workers, they by far saved me more than half the money that other companies quoted me.

Beware, they are scammers and will hold your stuff hostage to intimidate you for more money, they lied about the actual cost of the move and when I tried to have a conversation with The manager he was so rude and unprofessional, this person should not be in a customer service industry what a joke. We used this company to move our two bedroom apartment into a new upstairs flat. They did come slightly after their two hour window, but it was OK. The movers did a great job at getting all of our belongings into the new place. We didnt have any issue with the process. I would use this company again.

Smooth move start to finish- quote was accurate, guys were on time and worked hard on both sides of the move. They even accommodated me by stopping at storage unit to load more on the truck to fill to capacity. They worked hard and at a fast pace, which I appreciated since it’s charged by the hour. We had to move from a 3rd door 3 bedroom unit. Frank and Walter were great. Wrapped everything fragile and also disassembled/re-assembled several large pieces of furniture. I highly recommend 1776 storage and movers. And 5 stars to Frank and Walter!

This is the worst moving experience I have ever had and I have a few under my belt. This is not a professional moving company. This was a nightmare. They damaged my wood floors, took no precautions to protect them. Damaged a wicker chair, damaged my china cabinet, broke my screen door, and broke some keepsakes of my 12 year old daughter and I have not even begun to open the boxes yet to see further damage. They sent me a kid that appeared to have no training, and was probably his first move. He was busy on his phone, smoking in the truck and sitting on the truck bed. Moved at the pace of a tortoise ( they charge per hour). Could not disassemble my 20 year old Ethan Allen bed frame that has been moved at least 7 times with no problems, so just left it in my house because they had no tools and told me to bad not their problem. Did not reassemble items at new location, washer and dryer did not make it to laundry room, pictures and furniture were thrown on top of boxes in garage, outdoor furniture thrown on the patio, and did not put the heavy tops on the tables, did not put cushions back just threw them a pile. Was told AFTER the fact they do not remove flat screen holders from the wall, and do not move plants by the pool. Now I have to hire moving company number 2 to finish the job this company did not do. I would not recommend them to anyone. Complained to management...............they didnt care. Please use a professional service and movers. Its not worth saving a few bucks.

Alvin, Franklin and Dave were very prompt on arrival. They took direction well and listened to our concerns. Alvin explained the paperwork very clear and easy to understand. They were quick to pack and disassemble the furniture, and quick to unpack and assemble the furniture upon arrival. They were awesome guys. Highly recommend these 3.

I had a fairly small amount of items to move but needed the help to get the larger items out and down the stairs at my old apartment and in my new apartment. The crew was quick and able to get my items into the truck and back out within my time schedule. The guys were friendly and helpful and their prices were competitive with other movers of the area. I will use 1776 movers again when i move next and i would recommend them to friends. My only complaint was the guys got held up on their move scheduled before mine and didnt let me know they would be late until they were already late.

Everyone at 1776 was strikingly kind and we had a wonderful experience with them from beginning to end. From the moment I called, they went above and beyond to accommodate my tight deadline. They followed through with update calls and on the day of my move, I had the NICEST 3 guys anyone could have ever asked for. Spending all day with each other, Leo, Armando, and Courtney were so fun and did fast efficient work for 8 full hours. We had such great laughs all day while working hard and I was actually sad to see them go! Guys if youre reading this, THANK YOU!!

Start ed d out great. But my roommate is ill and she was still packing her room so the guys sat outside and waited almost an hour. Our problem, i admit. But they hurried us out and left many things behind. He should have walked me thru the house before he declared the job was done. Very bad way to end the job.

These guys do a top notch job. We called them about 3 weeks in advance, booking was really easy. They called the day before to confirm they were coming, and they even called the day of to let us know they could come earlier if we wanted. They let us know a time window that they would be arriving and George, Max, and Alex showed up right at the beginning of that window.I was worried initially because we werent as ready as Id hoped we would be, and we had a total of 6 people (not counting the movers) helping us move stuff at the same time. I was impressed with how well these guys were able to manage moving everything while dealing with lots of people in and out, back and forth. They moved much quicker than I thought they would and they took care of everything. We had some huge furniture, most of it still full of clothes and stuff. Normally watching other people move all my stuff around would really stress me out. These guys took care to wrap things when necessary, and they moved slowly through tight spaces. I didnt see them drop or bang a single thing.Everything was very professional and very fast. Id recommend 1776 Moving & Storage to anyone who wants to make their move much much easier.

The team at 1776 Moving were awesome! Setting up the appointment over the phone was a breeze. I drove a full 26 moving truck from Saint Louis to Orlando and hired 1776 Moving to unload the truck into my garage and my second floor apartment. They called before my appointment time to let me know when they would be there, and they were. All three movers were professional and handled all of my items with care. I had several older, fragile pieces of furniture which were unloaded and not a scratch. When they had a question of where to put things they asked instead of assuming. If you need moving help, 1776 are the people to call.

From start to finish these folks were exceptional. From communication, to price, to the actual move. Top-notch. I reached out to 1776 Moving and two other companies on a Saturday evening. By Sunday morning 1776 Moving had gotten back to me and I never did hear from the other moving companiesThe day of the move I was to expect the men at 7am. At 7 am, on the nose, they were there. They got to work quickly but took great care. Items were carefully wrapped in the blankets they provided, televisions protected, all items itemized. They even helped my 80 year old dad up the stairsThis move was wrapped up in a day and not a single thing was misplaced or damaged. This should be a well, duh, of course thing but I have moved 7 times in 8 years and the ONLY time things werent damaged is when I did the move myself. For example, in one of my moves the guys packed glass candlesticks with free weights in one box and another box only contained pillows!Highly recommend 1776 Moving.

I can not recommend this company because furniture was broken, hardware needed to put furniture back together was lost and the companys only response was to file a claim for insurance. Also the move went longer because they were trying to put back the furniture without all the hardware. My husband and I, who are seniors, had to buy bolts and put the bed back together. The crew tried but I think they the company should have put different men together who were more experienced. We have moved from N.Y. to Florida and from South Florida to Central Florida and never had any problems. It was only a 20 mile move from a 1 story house to another 1 story house. I know that things can happen, but if you own a company you should try to make things right. They havent.

Honest and reliable movers. I had a last minute move and this guys took my call with no hesitation. They arrived and loaded our belongings without wasting a time. Sal with his team were very helpful and polite. They were more than willing to please us and were most gracious in going above and beyond what we had asked of them. They clearly wanted satisfied customers and made sure we were happy before leaving.

Not only did they complain the entire time moving all the equipment but they decided to take it upon themselves after unloading the first truck to take the second truck that still had the equipment in it and go for a joyride down the street while they were still on the clock as I’m paying for it to go get some food and drinks. I called to talk to The manager to ask them to call the gentleman and get them back to the location so that we can finish unloading. The workers lied to the manager and told them that they were going to the restroom when actuality there was not only Porta potty‘s on site but within 150 feet walking there was a half a dozen restaurants they could’ve gone to the bathroom then. The manager got defensive and tried to defend his idiotic workers saying that they needed to go to the restroom in when in fact my general contractor was grabbing some food and saw them pull into the Wendy’s parking lot to grab something to eat. Not only were they not smart enough to take the truck that was not full of equipment but they also lied about where they were going. Once they got back to the site the workers had the audacity to argue with me about leaving with the equipment and needing to go to the bathroom which was a blatant lie and then continued to complain some more. I will not be using their services again. And I recommend anybody that needs moving to save their troubles and call a different company.

Professional, courteous and efficient from first call to follow up call after the move! My sister referred me to 1776/ Nice Guy Movers after she had a great experience with them last year. When I first called for a quote, Javier took his time explaining the different options available and was patient in answering all of my questions. A huge shout out to Tony, Jarvis and Joshua for doing a great job on moving day! They showed up right on time (Tony called to let me know when they were en route) and took great care with all of our items. And as an added bonus, they finished in less than half the time I was originally quoted, which saved me money! Affordable and worth every penny. Highly recommend this company!

In general, we can all agree that moving pretty much sucks.I decided to email 1776 Moving a request for quote, mostly because I was at work and didnt want to be bothered with a million questions over the phone. Diana replied within a couple of hours with a reasonable quote. I planned on booking it the next day, but then I ended up having to reschedule due to contractor delays.When I finally got the date figured out, I ended up speaking with Mona and got all the particulars worked out. I emailed the origin address, the destination address and my cell number.On the appointed date, the 2 cheery Romanian dudes mentioned by others showed up, albeit about 1/2 hour early.. Better than being late, but I was trying to eat my breakfast. Anyway, they got started right in taking inventory and reviewing all the pieces that were moving. They were very careful disassembling my bar and pinball machine, which were tricky because I couldnt remember how they got in there 12 years earlier.The move-in was perfect. They reassembled everything and had me review where everything belonged and made sure I was happy. There was all kinds of chaos going on at the new house, but the guys were professional and understanding while I was being pulled in every direction.The price was slightly higher than the original quote, but it did take longer to pack and unpack than even I expected, so I wasnt really surprised. Overall, it was as pleasant as a move could be and Id definitely recommend them.

Although they ran about an hour behind the time window, these guys were great. Easy to talk to, expedient and efficient. My furniture was moved delicately and with no damage. Will definitely recommend.

Only the highest marks for the crew of Alvin, Steve, and Jarrod from 1776 Moving! These three were professional, personable, and efficient, successfully completing our move more than an hour faster than the estimate of 5 1/2 hours. There was no wasted time as they focused on delivering an excellent service. While I hope not to move again for a long time I would not hesitate for an instant to call 1776 and I would specifically ask for this crew. Weve moved many times in our lives and this was the best team ever! Thank you!

BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE....EVER!I had NO broken items, delays or anything of the sort, but I will say (as I do with most of my post....read the contract and make changes to it if youre not prepared to live by the terms of that contract).I had the most problematic move and this company rolled with the punches. They rescheduled 4 times due to delays! When they got here everything still wasnt in boxes and some stuff had to be tossed out. They were very delicate and verified how I wanted things packed and they packed it. When the pods finally got here (CHECK MY REVIEW ON THOSE A-holes). They loaded it with care. The stuff that had to be thrown out, they broke down and threw it out for me without complaints.I cannot recommend these guys enough. If you want piece of mind, professionalism, a safe move, all backed and supported by amazing customer service then this is the company for you. Its obvious why they have an A++ rating with the BBB.24hr before the move they called to confirm. The morning of the move they called the say they were leaving the office and would be at my house in about 45mins. I got a call from the driveway saying they were here and wanted to know if I was ready for them.Even with all the extra work, they got done early and on budget.

These guys were just brilliant. They arrived on time, they were very polite, worked fast yet were very respectful of our furniture and belongings. They charged just what they estimated. We have no hesitation in giving the highest recommendation to 1776. They have a revolutionary attitude to good quality service and workmanship. This is the second time Ive used this company and had another wonderful experience. From the phone call to set up the move to the actual movers themselves, it was just so easy. The movers were quick and efficient and really took the time to pack my things. They even went the extra step to tighten a few loose screws on couple pieces of my furniture. The movers were great. On time and got the job done with care. Very professional movers. Time went over just a bit but they did a excellent job and set everything back up in my forward location as desired. I truly recommend these guys. Not only were the guys friendly and professional, they arrived earlier than expected and moved everything quickly but carefully. Other movers in the past have taken far longer (adding heavily to my bill) but these guys werent wasting time. Amazing service in person and over the phone. Highly recommend and will use again.

When setting up my move, Javier really put me at easr. He was helpful and accommodating. We even had to change our move date last minute and his response was no problem!The team that did our move was fast and efficient. They worked hard the whole time and finished much earlier than expected. Only one item was slightly damaged in the move. (It was particle board, so what do you expect?) Overall great experience. I would highly recommend. And their prices beat everyone else in town!

Javier was great on the front end of giving me an honest estimate which I greatly appreciated after working with a few other groups. Day of, Alvin, Buster and Jason were fantastic. They were prompt, efficient, and careful with all of our items. I have never hired movers before but know for a fact that I would use them again. It was great not to worry about lifting the heavy stuff, even the things I needed moved to the curb!
