After 10 months of wearing my titanium glasses, how how does this material break in half? After talking to the manager she arranged for $25 to get another pair of glasses with my same lens. That part was great. But after a month and a half of wearing my new glasses how does one of my lens pop out of my frames? 30 years Ive been wearing glasses and have never had issues like Im having with this particular store. I am assuming that these frames are very cheaply made. Not a satisfied customer.

BEWARE! This place is scamming peoples insurance. They tried to tell my mom only $70 was covered when United Health has her with $300 to unlimited coverage for 2 full pairs of glasses. The guy helping her just brushed off her comments and told her to just call the carrier to take care of the issue. The insurance carrier confirm with my mom the coverage amount (which wasnt $70 but way more) and how this place was not supposed do what they did. Something is fishy and its basically them taking advantage of patients insurance. Its obvious they give customers one price and put in to the insurance a higher amount keeping the rest of the money. This is FRAUD!

Closed almost 20min before closing time, gave customers attitude because they wanted to go home even though they called me to pick up my glasses by 5 oclock.You need to retrain your associates in what customer service is or simply fire them and get new ones!!I would never recommend this place to anyone and I will never return!

I never make any reviews but my Mom recently had made an appointment Tuesday morning with them and received horrible customer service from a lady that kept telling her, her insurance was declined but after seeing that my mom was having a hard time reaching the insurance company a gentleman was willing to help and he pulled out all her insurance information after waiting for an hour that in which the lady said her insurance didn’t cover her eye appointment. It’s also extremely hard to get a hold of them over the phone both my parents called and no one answered the phone.

Glasses are very cheaply made...my son has only had his glasses for less than a month and both legs are broken. Mind you my son’s previous pair was from Walmart optical didn’t get anything fancy and they lasted almost 2 years...I do not recommend this place at all...

I seen the no so good reviews at this place/location and simpatize with some of the reviews. I did had my own no so good experience at this place. However, I was able to work things out and they are more than willing to make it up to you and turn around in a positive way. Thats with or without insurance.On todays visit they checked everyones temperature that came through the door. Seating waiting area was well within recommending social distancing. Everyone wearing 😷. They give you a box to put any 👓 you touched. I still be careful. You have no control to what others touched.Staff that I came in direct contact with was very courteous and professional. Got to see other staff interacting with other staff and customers including the manager 😀. Everyone was engaged helping each other. Like 👍 this dynamic.Overall, I have been coming to this place for years. I have tried todays online eye glasses 👓 market as well with a major competitor and in my opinion this still the place to shop.I encourage anyone that have had in their opinion not a good customer experience to speak to management for a solution. Then if you still dissatisfied make your reviews or post (voice to be heard) to inform us customers. We do appreciate a fair feedback!

I made an appointment at this facility (Colonial location) and it was nothing but an unpleasant visit. The staff seem to be distracted when you’re in the facility on their cell phones chitchatting. They didn’t order the correct contacts. They went ahead and ordered them after the fact and forgot to call me to tell me. I had to call the facility to get the information. I didn’t asked to receive my Vision information for my contacts and eyeglasses via email and no one ever sent it when they said they would the first time. I had to call a second time and speak to someone who did email it over to me but my eyeglass script doesn’t have the PD distance on it. Apparently they don’t do the PD distance unless you buy a pair of glasses at their facility even if you pay to get an eyeglass script.Overall, was a very poor experience I would not recommend to anyone. The facility isn’t even nice inside. You’re better off going to a different location saving your time and your money.

Made an appointment and was there on time, I was done with my exam in a timely manner so there are no complaints about that. However, during my exam I was told by the doctor that my eyes were fine and that other than updating my contacts I had no other issues. Once I got to the sales desk I was told that I had astigmatism which my insurance did not cover and that I had to pay 149 dollars. I asked why the insurance covered the previous contacts I had worn for a year+ and was told that because of my astigmatism the new contacts were not covered. I find it very odd that I was told this at the sales desk and not by a doctor and that it just so happens that the new contacts were not covered because of something I had just been informed of, by someone who like I said was not a doctor. It has been a day and I have had time to think about what happened, overall I am very unsatisfied and feel as if I was trapped into paying the 149 odd dollars. I will stick with the previous location I used to get my contacts a year ago where I did not have to pay 149+ dollars.

I arrived a few minutes early, the seating was all set up with social distancing with signs saying do not move the chair on them. The eye exam doctor was very good and showed caring. When I got to the eye glass optician area, you sit down shoulder to shoulder with other customers, so no social distancing. If you moved the desk a bit apart then it would be better.Since they dilated my eyes I didnt want to pick out glasses at that time. The girls seemed perturbed at that. I told her I liked this one frame and she said my 300 insurance $$ to spend would put me over my limit, so I just said no and left. Point is, they have it figured with the insurance to make it difficult and reminds me of a old fashion flem flam artist or shell game.It was my first time there, I doubt I will go back. The sales department of opticians seems shady and every hair on my back stood up that I was being sold a bill of goods.Its typical insurance non sense, I can spend 300.00 on no line progressive glasses or 2 pairs of normal glasses, which sounds good until you see on the web site that I can just buy 2 pairs for 59.00 - 29.50 each. So beware of the bait and switch from these guys. Insurance negotiated prices against the over inflated retail prices makes it a big screw for the customer. If you like big screws, this is the perfect place. Bottom line, you either get two cheep pair free or you pay something to get bifocals. The same frame on Zennie.com is 6.95 and this place has me paying 85.00 so that is how they eat up 300.00 in insurance money so fast!I think I will just get a pair of decent computer glasses and another pair for reading then order my bifocals after. I genuinely was not very happy with this company. The first impression was good when you walk in, then it fades out more and more until you leave.

HORRIBLE! I was here for 2 and a half hours for no reason at all. I walk in, get my temp checked, and ask the young man at the front desk if I need to fill anything out because I had an early appointment. He says no just take a seat. I take a seat for an hour and people are walking in and getting called finishing up within 35-45 minutes while I’m sitting and sitting. Finally I get up and ask someone and they said I need to fill out a some papers. I fill the papers out, another 20 minutes. All you’ll be doing here is waiting. Horrible staff. Not helpful at all and very slow.

Made appointment, only made aware that the appointment was on colonial. Not the exact address. I went to the only location I am familiar with. Upon arriving I was informed that I was at the wrong location. In which I asked if the front desk could call the correct location and ask if I could still arrive for the appointment. Front desk was told that if I made it in 10 min they would still take me. So I can only imagine that they wanted me to risk my son and my life to rush for an appointment that I made 2 months ago for a specific Saturday appointment. Front desk informed me that instead I could be seen at this location. Never was I informed that I would have such a long wait. The staff here is very unprofessional. Poorly dressed. Dont wear masks constantly. Mingle and look through each others cell phones. A customer arrived to complain and receive a refund and once the customer left all of the girls began commenting negatively regarding that customer, so loudly that everyone could hear their negative comments. One associates shirt is so small that her breasts and stomach were exposed.Once called by the optometrist Parents need to stay in the hallway and give confidential information regarding children. Everyone else in the office can hear. But because of covid we cannot enter the room even to give medical information. If this is the case then they need a separate room with space to accommodate for social distancing, to avoid any HIPAA violations. Im still in the officein the waiting room at 12pm for an appointment that was scheduled for 10:15am. If I wouldve been informed of the long wait. I wouldve rescheduled for another day. This is my second time visiting this establishment. The first time I also had a bad experience, but decided to give it a try. Shame on me.

Olivia was very kind and gave my granddaughters ages 12 and 10 the best service.We got here at 6:58 and she was able to get my granddaughters new glasses and tighten my 12 year old glasses and kept smiling,so very friendly.I appreciate her kindness seeing she was fast but yet efficient and we were out by 7:08..Thank you for making us feel special knowing yall closed at 7:00.You never made us feel rushed or told us to come back another day.We appreciate your kindness and the smile is contagious.Thank you....

This is by far the worst service I have ever received. First off all of the staff speaks Spanish and does not communicate well if you do not speak Spanish. My daughter had an eye exam and we ordered contacts and the wrong brand and prescription were ordered. I called on numerous occasions and could never reach the location. Their calls are ALWAYS routed to a call center which they could never reach the location either unless they left an email for them to call you back. Once I finally spoke with someone three weeks later, they explained that they never ordered the correct contacts and now it’s to late. No one ever called to notify me of any issues or discrepancies to fix the situation or to let me know they never placed the order. The customer service is awful in person and over the phone. Because of the service I never want to visit this location again or any other Optical Outlet location.

Good thing i did because one pair broke within 2 months of coming in, FYI i did not drop or damage them, the plastic snapped apart while i had them on. Im only writing this because I want the world to know that BRIAN IS AWESOME!! Brian is very professional, and knowledgeable.. He is kind and has EXCELLENT Customer service skills.. Ive been visiting for years and have never had such a positive experience at this location. I observed the other staff members as I waiting for about 30 minutes for assistance and noticed that the other staff were not paying much attention to the Cutomers that walked in. Some of the Customers were completely ignored.. I think maybe a little customer service training would be beneficial for this location. A better sign-in process would be helpful as well..Thank you..

Daughters first eye exam, 7 years old,the dr did NOT answer my questions, was very short, actually seemed annoyed when I asked her something, lots of huffing and puffing. it seemed like a very quick exam, considering all the problems I mentioned on the questionnaire. Told us she needs a slight prescription And sent us on our way No explanation or answers. Just rushed through everything. Could really improve people skills. Especially when dealing with children.Will not return.

This is by far the worst store within the chain ever! They messed up my prescription which I didn’t realize until I had on the pair of contacts. I called the store and left messages 3 days in a row! When they finally called I was told to bring in unopened boxes and I told them how when I had to open to see that the prescription was wrong?! I asked for the store manager who I was told would call me back and he never did. Now I’m stuck with no contacts and I’m in school as well with exams this week, and soon finals in a few weeks. I definitely recommend another place because this is not the first time they screwed me but it will definitely be the last.

I showed up a few minutes late to my appointment due to traffic (office is located on Colonial and there is major construction). I was immediately told the doctor would not see me and I would have to reschedule. Its clearly more important to the staff to leave work on time than to please their customers. Service was satisfactory, frames purchased are low quality. I bought 2 frames for my daughters and in less than 6 months not one but both frames broke. I can hardly blame my kids for that because of the fact that both frames snapped. 30 days manufacturer warranty which is obviously expired but they did nothing to help me out. Just heads up to people thinking of buying, make sure you get a good quality frame.

I got great service on my trip to optical outlets. Everyone was very friendly and informative. I am very indecisive and received help picking out frames by Brittany & Shajaira. They were both very patient with me and made sure I left with frames that I absolutely love plus gave me information on other things I should have for my glasses. I work in customer service and both Brittany and Shajaira exceeded my expectations. I hope that the next time I come back they will be there to help me :)

I gave them one star only because there is no option to give them zero stars. Was sent to Optical Outlets by the VA. The exam took over two and a half hours. Two weeks later I had to call to see if me glasses were in, they did not call me. Went to pick up my glasses, waited for over an hour just to pick up glasses. One pair was ready the other was broken and had to be sent back. Their customer service is atrocious. The selection of glasses is poor. The office is utter bedlam. I can go into any other Optical shop in Orlando and be waited on is a reasonable amount of time and pick up glasses in minutes vice hours. I will never go back to Optical Outlets.

Went to get my eye exam the Optometrist lady was very nice and explained in detail about my vision. The sales rep was very rude and inpatient; she seems to care about the commission they make in the overpriced frames. I just took my prescription and shop somewhere else. Avoid this optical business as there are several that will treat customers with respect.

Because of the holidays, it took 3 weeks for my glasses to arrived, I told them to ship it to my new city. Then I get 2 different texts in 2 weeks after it arrived to pick it up at the old stores. Called 5 different times .... nobody answered, was forwarded to their main call center...3 times nobody answered there neither... voicemail was full, 2 times I talked to call center to ask the manager to call me back..he never did. I will not return here. I have VSP premium plan and paid an $245 for my glasses. Initially was told 7-10 days from 02/04 to receive my glasses. I call and the Rep now tells me it can take upto 2-3 weeks. I call my insurance provider and when they call they get a whole other date. Listen people, customer service goes a long way and Optical Outlets has a lack of. Please save yourself the aggravation and pick another place.

My boyfriend and i were on vacation in Orlando and his glasses fell apart, which really sucks because he needed it to drive. I went on Google map and found optical outlet, went in and The guys fixed his glasses in under 5min at no charge!!! Very awesome especially since we were on vacation!

What a joke. The services provided at optical outlets is only exclusively for Spanish people. White, black and Asian sorry but you are out of luck. When it was time to call the next person our file was placed first and the rest of the files was Spanish people. The employe who was of course Spanish picked up our file and watched it up and down put it down and then picked up the file behind and saw that it was a Spanish name and said and I quote “Ramón señor, comó está.” I am fluent in Spanish and English and I know I don’t look Hispanic but I guess that’s “the trick” and I understood everything that was said in Spanish. The employee at the front desk had to tell the individual to pick up the file that was in front, but no he saw that we didn’t have a Spanish last name and said nah I want the Spanish dude. If you want advice here it is: go if you are Spanish if not keep it chugging.

Took my elderly parents there in which they had insurance. Picked out frames within their alliwance and they still managed to gank them for more money. And if thats nit enough they make my dad wait for his glasses over 2 weeks and when he receives them they are scratched up in the corners. In less than 2 weeks the frame breaks. When he tells them they tell him he would have to pay fir new frames. Wth is wrong with these people? Now to add insult to injury they replace his franes with a used frame that cannot be adjusted. I will be calling his insurance and report them. Mind you they are receiving an additional $369.52 from insurance on top of what they charged him. This place should be ashamed of themselves!!!!!!!

Optometrist was informative and friendly. Beware of deceptive sales practices. Tried to have me return groupon and buy their package at a higher price. Also claimed doctor recommended a special formula which consists of polycarbonate lens and antiglare treatment. Both upgrades which sales woman claimed doctor required was an extra $150. Arrived 20 minutes before my sons appointment, was asked to sign a clipboard at the desk. 45 minutes later I decided to approach the front desk and ask to reschedule, thats when they realized that they never checked the clipboard. All that time I was sitting in front of the counter, making eye contact with five different employees working behind the desk. Horrible display of service. For 45 minutes I heard lots of personal conversations chismes, gossip and loud laughter from the associates, totally ignoring that we were the only customers there. Waste of time with scheduling. Scheduled two appointments for my children and received a confirmation call the day before and just an hour before the appointment, I received a call from front staff informing me that they do not see children of my kids age. I love this place first time customer and the price was awsome and customer service is excellent Igot 4 pairs of perscription glasses for $140! I will be coming back to Optical Outlets for my eyeglass needs!

Not recommended. The frames are poor quality and high price. You cannot use your own frames to get the deal for two no lines progressive lenses for $99 with eye check up as advertised.

Unprofessional. Appointment was about a month go. Was told glasses would be in within a week and I would be called when they came in. Well I decided to just walk in and see if they were there. They had BEEN there. The sales rep also was inexperienced and unprofessional. I am not sure why the Dept of Veterans Affairs gives them their business. Incompetent would be an understatement. Wont be going back. As a veteran, I rather pay out of pocket.

Worst place, unprofessional, the old lady receptionist so rude, don’t know anything about courtessy, crowd of patients, I get there with appointment and inform I’m not on schedule, on the contrary I called Optical Outlet St Cloud they accept my walk in and the staff are so profesional and helpful

I had lost my glasses in the lake I had for over two years. I made an appointment through the VA and three weeks later without glasses I finally was seen. Waited 2 hours to be seen after my apointment time. Due to the fact this was through the VA the selection was very slim on frames. I had to get a pair of shitty cheap ass frames due lack of selection, because it looked like buzzards had picked through the frames there were a lot of empty slots on the wall. The employees spoke very broken english hardly understandable. Veterans do not deserve this. Only plus the Doctor was courtious and spoke English.

I was seen within 15 minutes of my scheduled appointment (which was only 4 business days after I called to set up). The Eye DR was VERY thorough.. I explained that I was worried about possible retina damage from previous contact lens abuse.. I feel he was already looking at that and he reassured me that while yes, I shouldnt wear them as my primary vision correction... that I could wear them from time to time (great when at the beach etc). This was also the first time I was getting Bifocals.. I am turning 45 and I was really dreading getting a pair.. matter of fact I went with what UHC paid for... I didnt upgrade a thing... I had my choice of blue stickered ($69.95) frames... IF you peruse there are some nice ones. I found a pair that were just .. longer? than the regular Rx ones Ive been wearing for about 6 years lol. By the time (maybe 20 minutes IF that) my eyes were dilated and hed called me back to do the rest of the exam, Id chosen the frames. ALL that was on a Tuesday (08/12/15)... I received both a text and an Email (08/18/15) that the glasses were ready for pickup first thing! Now, Im all UGH going in... expecting HORRIBLE Medicaid cheap glasses to tide me over til I get something cute from online.... and I was pleasantly surprised that somehow the lined bifocals were barely noticeable.. in fact.. its taken folks who see me regularly time to notice if at all (my others are only .25 RX different even over 5 years old so Im keeping as backup but they were very expensive name brand). All in all... I dont know if I was special or what.. but I was not once asked about upgrades (I did say I was not paying past what my insurance covered). That in and of itself is a pleasant change. I also suspect after some research that somehow while not progressives (there is a line) that these (ugh I forget the name) are an upgrade bifocal.. while there is a line... they are curved and dont encompass the whole bottom of my lenses... They dont jump out as HEY THESE ARE BIFOCALS... I have 2 kiddos who need new glasses and I know where to take them! When I went to pick them up BTW the guy who does the adjustments etc. was just as invested in me having a good fit as the young lady was in helping me chose the frame (aka make the sale). The reason for not 5 stars?? When insurance allows for blue dot.. I really hate it when the other color dots arent on a chart that says if insurance covers blue .. green add $20 orange add $100 etc. Make it easy on folks so we dont have to be embarrassed looking at the prices on the arms!

This place is very unprofessional the staff is very rude and services where slow even with an appointment I spent three hours for a eye exam for my daughter and very bad customer service when I went back to pick up the glasses I will never uses this company again I had a coupon for $100 for two pair of glases and ended up spending $500 on one pair of glasses for my child and when I asked for a number to management the card was thrown in my face and I was told that they didnt care if I reported them Please take your business else where they are not worthy of your money

I took 7 year old to get new glasses and when it was time for him to pick the frame he wanted the lady keep telling my child he cant choose the pair of glasses that he love because he didnt nose for it put she was very rude to him all the time we was there i was trying to not loose my cool not happy with that he put the wrong numbers of eye side that had to take him back get eyes check because my son was complaining about headaches he cut not see with the new glasses plus they and did same thing my niece plus they dont know how treat autistic kids
