This is about the laptop repair services specifically. The diagnostic was pricey, and then took about 2 weeks. The quote was way too expensive. Over $200 to replace a hard drive and a fan. I was quoted $121 for the hard drive and $41 for the fan.I asked someone in computer engineering, who had built computers and performed repairs before, about the price and he said it was ridiculous. He found the hard drive online for $50, and the fan for $10.Its convenient, but unless you really cant get off campus for a repair, try to look somewhere else.The rental service is nice and so is the actual place itself.

This is a review of specifically the tech computer repair center: I was not satisfied with the service I received for my computer issue. While initially drawn due to their Apple Certified Provider label and its on-campus location, it becomes clear they are only competent with small scale repairs on devices that are at least 1-2 years old. My service ended up taking nearly 2 weeks just to diagnose the issue since they had to ship it off to a separate location, due to it being too new, which has to be the worst excuse ive heard. I would have been much better off taking my computer to Apple directly in the first place, however, when I even tried to refuse service and take it back, there was clear miscommunication since my laptop had been shipped off WITHOUT my consent. Overall, its clear to see that only some employees care, while others take a back-seat to customer service and are just sub-par, if i were you just take your repair straight to the manufacturer.

Very convenient to have in the heart of the campus, but the prices arent attractive enough for anyone to actually consider buying anything from here...
