The 2 stars are for the nice looking store front, but buyer beware there’s a good chance that whatever’s you buy will break or be defective and this store will not help you at all once you’ve walk out the door with something.Specifically, every single disposable that I’ve bought from this place has been defective (burnt taste after only very light use), and they are all overpriced compared to just about any other shop.

Usually great service. I dont like they have a card minimum, it is sometimes inconvenient.

Have been a customer since 2007 when they were a lil smoke shop in a shopping mall across the street that was built like a flea market.However I digress, they have since slowly and gradually branched out and have evolved. I can honestly still say everytime I come into this shop they have always had something cool or different I never noticed.I have to give credit to the team of people that work there and manage it from the bottom, up everyone is a delight to work with and do business.Many stores have came and gone but New Galaxy really is out of this world. 🌎

Update: Day 4 of having said vape...the wife found on the warranty online where if defective the store needs to handle it, potentially newly added on the website. She called, again explained the whole story and what she found, to which he stated will have to update employees. (Perfectly acceptable answer in my opinion.) They told her to come in, worse case theres another one at the store. She went back and got with the manager, and a sweet woman we normally deal with when in there, who mentioned how much we come in and never have issues. My wife mentioned who helped her the day off the issue, and what all she bought that day...he was not thrilled to say the least, but didnt seem surprised. They then determined the issue being the lower power batteries within minutes, and recalibrated it for her. He added some juice turned it on to test that it stayed on, then had her test it, all good.. then took care of it no charge for the better batteries. Epic manager for that.- If dealing with anyone else Im sure it could have been avoided in the day 3 trip, instead of the 2nd guy just wanting to pass the buck and not even attempt to figure it out.. every business has its problem child. The manager and other employees saved some business that day at least.*******************************************Lowering review, will raise if issue is resolved. Used to love this place but after the most recent experience I wish I could give negative stars. Will probaby NEVER return to this place unless its resolved.. there is a newer one down the road past Avalon. Understanding policies of final sales, a defective display item sold has different rules... 1st off wife was not given a receipt, mistakes happen... They sold her a display vape, original guy told my wife to come back if any problems as it was a display and theyd take care of it. He asked if she had batteries, she said yes thinking regular ones.Didnt work so she called up there, doesnt take regular batteries (whoops) and they dont come with it, they both had a good laugh because he did try to make sure she had everything and said to come back up, so she went to get the batteries no biggie. He gave her a small USB charger he had just in case as well. (Sweet heavy set tall guy). Vape works for a bit, then dies.. then again even after 5 hours on charge. We then tried getting an external charger on day 2 as its still not seeming to hold a charge, and those are sometimes better.. still not staying on more than 5 to 10 min.Day 3 of having it, we go back and explain whole story. Different guy this time (skinny kid with glasses) tested the current batteries and said those were fine, no further attempts to troubleshoot; then proceeded to say its something internal, they wont do any thing about it and to go through the warranty process sending it back to the manufacturer.. and basically refused to help further just leaning on the counter. I was not thrilled, he got my point to say the least..Being treated like this after spending $200+ in one visit, not to mention all the other numerous times weve been in there for tobacco, tubes, accessories, cigars etc. They obviously have at least 1 employee that doesnt care about their customers, let alone repeat customers. Dont trust the skinny guy with glasses troubleshooting attempts, unless hes been retrained or being supervised.

The customer service is fantastic very helpful and knowledgeable. Its not a bad shop but its way overpriced.Like Waaaayyyyy over priced. $50 for a generic no name water pipe with no perc. I went to Fahrenheit in Altamonte and they have Green Bear water pipes for $35 and they are a named company, and the glass was a lot thicker. Like twice as thick. This shop is inflating prices unreasonably, some of the stuff in there is worth what they charge but they are charging to much for the cheaper glass. I dont work for anywhere Im just a consumer. I still made a purchase but I spent more than I was willing to spend. I support local business but this particular location needs to re-evaluate its clientele.If they are trying to sell to upscale consumers, a strip mall on Colonial is not prime real estate. Just my opinion. Even if its UCF area. They would have a lot more sales if they would try to reduce the price of the low tier stuff. Selling more product is key. But its not my shop and they are free to run their business how they choose.. Im just stating my opinion. Thank you.

With many other smoke shops around, I had stumbled into New Galaxy expecting the same middle of the road service and products. But I was so pleasantly surprised with this shop! I am still a novice in this area... so sometimes I have a lot of questions and anxiety. But at New Galaxy I felt they actually cared and wanted me to feel happy with my purchases.The service was truly amazing. I WISH I remembered the woman’s name that helped me. She is an asset there. I purchased a TapTray I was on the fence about.. but it was a game changer. Great product! I also got a small starter water pipe. The worker was SO helpful and patient with me. I ended up leaving with a few items that I now use multiple times a day and truly bring me joy and function. I can’t be more thankful for this shop! As a newby, they really helped me out and I felt like they actually cared and just want their customers to feel happy with their visit. Thank you New Galaxy! I won’t go anywhere else now.Side note: some of the glass pieces they have are crazy cool! They showed me around to some of their items, the glass work is just wild and beautiful. Ive been waiting 40 minutes for the store to open now. It says online it opens at 9, and on the door yet its now 9:40 and no ones here. I was trying to make a quick stop before a road trip. I understand 15, maybe 20 minutes but 40?

Polite n Helpful. Stopped in for the first time today n was greeted by a very nice young lady that showed me around. Prices are fair n selection is good. Dont heed the comments of those complaining about prices. Theres a vast selection for every budget, but the quality is not compromised.

So, the owner’s girlfriend is really nice, BUT she sold me a beaker water pipe that was supposedly made by Clover glass.....I hadn’t done much research on Clover but the water pipe was made of thick glass and it was heavy enough to withstand knock overs from cats. She had given me a deal on the pipe, since the L was missing in the clover that was blown on the side. I just had the V of the clover come off in my hand as I was using it last night. I went online and checked out my water pipe and come to find out, it’s not even a clover pipe. It’s a sky high glass co. pipe. I’ve never heard of this brand and I’m a little disappointed that this pipe was sold as a clover pipe, but the quality is subpar and isn’t even made by clover. Just be careful and do your research when you purchase your pipe. I found out I paid WAY too much for a pipe that’s literally falling apart in my hands after only a month of having it.

I love the huge selection of glass pieces they have from all over the world and also from local talented artists! Also Austin was super friendly and helpful in helping me find something to my liking and in my price range. This shop is definitely worth visiting if you want to find the perfect gift!

I wish I could give this place NEGATIVE stars. I went in twice to buy a water pipe. I spent over $250.00 on their Diesel brand water pipe (I was told the owner blew the glass himself) I had the piece for less than a month and it worked great! Until one morning I noticed a crack and the whole thing split in a perfect line, making it two unusable pieces. I cleaned the pieces with tons of alcohol making them look brand new and brought it back into the shop. The person running the desk was incredible rude to me and my friend. Telling me it was my fault (even after his other coworker saw the crack and said thats too smooth to be a normal break). All I wanted was a replacement. No dice. I demanded to speak to the person who made it (aka the owner) but guess what, he wasnt there that day. I asked for his number, no dice. I left my number and explained I wanted to speak with the person who made and sold me a faulty and expensive water pipe. I waited two weeks for the call that never was. I will never shop at New Galaxy again. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY!

Absolutely Friendly & Knowledgeable staff, one in particular Brain, I came in looking for a concentrate rig {oil rig} was welcomed by his professional attitude among others, told him i needed something durable with a little art under the 280 scale, this guy went and took a strong initiative to help find me an excellent rig, T.Nail and Titanium Dabber for just 18 dollars shy of spending limit, unlike other employees from local glass shops down the road who would sit there and try to hustle you for more than what youre trying to spend, out of mystic, up in smoke, new galaxy and climax, without a doubt i would certainly choose climax all over again for my next piece. All because of the superior service some of their employees provide, also not to forget the generous amount of economically satisfying glass selection they have to offer!

Im reading some troubling reviews in regards to my go to spot. I must be super lucky to always walk in and get a warm friendly welcome. Im in all the time too so I dont know when folks walked in and it wasnt a chill place. A couple of things for new customers. First, if youre going into the store (or any smoke shop) have an idea of what youre looking for. Second, if you are partaking in activities that are unlawful then understand THAT IS NOT COMMON CONVERSATION! Common sense people! You cant go into an airport and say, thats the bomb! Even if you feel like youre complimenting something or being innocent trust and believe the autorities will have you hemmed up somewhere for a comment like that. Now what? Youll never fly again? Thats nonsense! Know your surroundings and look around and read. There are warning signs everywhere! Ive been to rude establishments and this isnt one of them.

They will follow you around the entire store to the point where they make your experience very uncomfortable. Cheap products that break very easily.

My boyfriend and I purchased coils from another shop down the street from New Galaxy, and all 4 items were defective. We went to New Galaxy, and the staff helped us see that our original coils were counterfeit. They showed us how to ensure that doesnt happen again, and installed new coils into our tanks for us. The new coils work perfect. Very satisfied!

The service was impeccable here. HUGE array of high quality merchandise as well. Cant say enough good things about this place. The owner and staff will do everything possible to make sure the customer is pleased. Will be coming back for sure!

Products aside (the quality and variety is astounding), the blend of hospitality and professionalism from those two is making this my go-to store. To walk into a completely new environment but have it feel so comfortable is challenging and they nailed it.

Stopped in to see what salon looked like and make appointment to get my dreads washed, twisted, and styled. Salon appeared clean. Price is reasonable so I guess I shouldnt complain that earliest appointment is Jan 9th. Ill update review after my appointment.

I have never had a bad experience here. This is my shop of choice for sure. Ive been to Mystik and purple ringer, as well as a couple of other generic tobacco shops and this place topped them all. They have a much larger selection in just about everything you would need compared to other shops. Ive also seen a few things they have that other places dont sell. This is even my top choice compared to the miami shops Ive been to. I always recommend it to visiting friends and family or even friends and family that live here in Orlando that go to different shops. New Galaxy has converted all of them to loyal customers of their shops. All the employees are super relaxed and knowledgeable. Their water pipes and hand pipes are crazy gorgeous or as simple as you need them. Prices are pretty clear, but can be negotiable and they usually have sales on SOMETHING. A nice bonus is that they do butane refills on some of their lighters for free. Awesome store!

I dont understand the hostility. I literally live right down the street from here and never gave this place a shot, and now this is the only place I like going to, I havent had any problems and Ive bought pieces not only for me, but my husband and friends as well. no complaints on the products. The staff has also been great every time I go, I can always depend on someone to start a conversation with me and be excited about the product. Good place, good people, thats all that counts.

10209 East Colonial Drive is a new little strip mall that just went up has a massage parlor has a Boost Mobile and a smoke shop a hair salon and nail salon and a medical supply store. The new strip mall needs to work on killing bees and wasps on exterior of property but besides that its a good little shopping center just needs Improvement

Lmao ok so theyve got good stuff and prices are competitive, but theres this one dude who helped me that seemed like he just ate every edible they carry in store. Holy hell.He was so dazed he had trouble figuring out how to enter a price into the register and how to make $0.84 in change.Then I saw something else and asked him a question about it, he just kinda moaned, didnt look at me. I waited about 30 seconds, asked if he was good. He said nothing just stood there staring at the case. I decided to leave because it was ridiculous.Everyone else there always seems to be awesome, but this dude needs to control his weed intake.

Havent been to a better store since living in gainesville. Best in the Orlando area. Let me bring my hookah in and mix/match parts. Got what I needed without having to buy a whole new hookah. Helpful, knowledgeable, and patient employees... especially the bearded guy. GJ dude.

If there was room to give no stars I would. They are rude from the moment you walk in the door. I am in my mid 30 s and I didnt get even a hello when I walked in the door. Instead I was harassed for my ID. The employees are rude and arrogant. I will not be shopping there ever again. Such a shame too since they are right down the street from my home.
