Roberto actually came to my house to help with a boat I had sitting for 10 years! He talked me through all the things that would need to be done. His prices were very fair and I could tell he was going out of his way for me as he does for all of his customers. Happy to have met him, and I will definitely be using him for my next boat repair!

7/13/2021After calling four boat repair houses and being told that they are so busy that they cant take my boat for months I found Roberto at Sunshine boat repair. With no run around he came the next day to look at the boat and gave me a diagnosis of what was wrong and a plan of repair, which turned out to be a little cheaper than any of the first four I called. He told me as soon as he opened up space in his shop he would bring my boat in and do the repair. True to his word five days later brought it to his shop and did the repair. When repair was done he called me a few times to make sure everything was fine with the boat. He has Become a friend.

Roberto is amazing. I had an issue with my boat and Roberto came to my rescue and within 24 hours had my boat back to me. He picked up my boat and took it back to his place for repairs. I had this guy come over to look at my outboard and give me prices to get it repaired. He is a very nice guy but cant keep track of his schedule. I live literally a mile away and it took over 2 weeks for him to come over and this was after waiting for a week after my initial call. After he finally came out, he look at the motor for all of 5 minutes and said he needed to come back with his tools for a proper test. This never happened. I had to keep calling him and finally he told me I should just buy a new engine. He said he would help buy another one and install it but again he didnt follow through with his word. While he is a very nice guy, he is retired and not very professional. I wouldnt recommend using him unless you already know him or unless you are prepared to deal with being push off week after week.

Roberto is awesome! He’s help us out with our boat twice already, and we love his honesty and dedication to his craft. We were having electrical issues with our boat, he went above and beyond to make sure we didn’t run into any issues with our boat. Robert is the kind of level-headed and reliable professional you want to believe any marine mechanic you contact would be; but whom you usually find to be sub-par. There are few others whom are more knowledgeable and critical of service providers than myself. Ive tried and tested the owner of Sunshine throughout the diagnosis of my dated Evinrudes and the purchase, and retrofit of my new Yamahas, and always got strait forward advice and fair margins on his equipment offerings. Ive judged his character and find him to be morally stout and knowledgeable; everything you should expect from a real professional and I recommend his services with no reservations.

I had SBR install my new fish finder and fixed my boat trailer lights. Really nice work. Worked flawlessly up to 35mph on my Yamaha jet boat. The dash mount looks nice and clean too. Great work at a reasonable price.

New boat owner, showed him a crack on back of boat he said it was my tansom, and that it’s about 3k to fix. Found out myself that it’s just a bell housing and i can replace the part for $200. But he said he had a lot of experience. Won’t recommend for anyone.
