Moderately priced children’s clothing. Some items more worn than others. Selling at this chain is tricky, keep the load small, and keep the items name-brand; that’s how I have most success.
DO NOT try to sell items here! They pay you literal pennies on the dollar for items, and turn around and sell it for a massive mark up. Sell your items privately if at all possible.
I didn’t realize the store opened at 12 when I arrived at 10 so I waited till they opened to only receive horrible customer service. I was the only one in line waiting to check out while the two ladies were checking the clothes that were received. No communication with me after giving me eye contact to then tell each other let’s finish with this first. I’ve always love once upon child until now. Felt like I wasn’t important since I wasn’t giving them clothes for the business (I buy and give clothes). I left and no acknowledgment. Will never return!!
I only gave the store two stars because I only been there two times.All you get back is $29 for a bag of clothes. And all the the clothes I give them is brand know all named brand. I’m practically giving good clothes away for free.
I saw a post on Facebook that this location was doing personal shopping during quarantine. I was needing some new shorts for my toddler in her new size, so one night I sent her the list of what I was looking for (solids, neutrals, size, etc). The next day I received a slew of photos to shop from (sample below). It was super easy! I circled on my phone what I wanted, paid via PayPal, and she delivered it to the house quickly. We got so many shorts for such a small amount of money. We are loving our new collection of shorts!
I had bad experience.. I was selling my stuff here they were not given us fair price.. although my stuff was gently used.. the staff was not friendly I was disappointed
Its not worth your time to sell they literally pay you less than $2 per item and on things that they sell for over $20. Better to sell on ebay or any other selling platform
Personal shopping during quarantine has not only been so helpful and convenient but FUN! Send a list of what youre looking for and they send back pictures of things to choose from- it was such a seamless process. The new location in Waterford Lakes is awesome...right in the heart of all the shopping so super convenient to everything. Awesome employees, very professional and accommodating.
Love this store! This Once Upon A Child is by far the cleanest, most organized gently used retail store I have been to. The quality of the products is awesome. The clothes and other items are in great condition! As a mom of 5 it is nice to be able to quickly walk in and find the size, color, and style I need in a matter of seconds! The staff I have met are helpful and friendly and the management is great! I highly recommend shopping here!
I love the staff here. They have helped online shop for my daughter throughout the pandemic. Its been a pleasure to deal with them. OUAC has great sales and merchandise at reasonable prices throughout the year. Cant wait to go inside now that theyve got a new and bigger location!
What happened?! Why did you guys move locations from next to Discovery Church East to now Waterford? Could u at least text or email your customers & give them a heads up?? I am shocked at the speed of which Shops Move in Orlando these days! Came to the store & everything is completely gone! The signs, clothes, toys, etc!!! Well at least u guys didnt go out of business....you just moved. A little warning would of been nice though...from a very loyal customers perspective. Thanks.
Update: I was contacted by the owner and everything was resolved quickly. I really appreciate it. I love going here because I can always find great deals for my growing kids. Its also great to be able to sell your stuff you no longer need and use it towards a purchase or just get cash.I like going here and I always find stuff for my kids. Ive never had any issues but yesterday I was trying to use my coupon for a couple toys I bought. After I left the store, I realized they didnt apply my coupon. I called and they said I could come back and they could fix it. I get there and the lady goes the coupon is only good for apparel. Okay, it would have been nice to know that when I checked out. After I get home, I look at my coupon on my phone and it says 15% off all purchase, it doesnt mention apparel only.Also the Lego set I bought one of the bags was opened and taped back up. The mini figures were missing.
Would not recommend selling here unless you want to get lowballed and then see your stuff being sold online for more than what they gave you total. Very disappointed.
I reached out to once upon a child who was offering curbside assistance and personal shopping which was perfect ! my 5-month-old decided it was a great time to outgrow the clothes that we currently had I contacted them they sent me amazing choices based on what I would like and I could not be happier.I cannot wait to personally shop back their store... the ladies I dealt with were so nice and amazing.

The new owners are doing an excellent job, and I think it’s extra special that they are two moms themselves!The quality of the clothes we have from this store are AMAZING, and my kids have already had compliments on their new outfits. I love how easy they made shopping during the unexpected closure this year. Way to keep up professionalism, even while moving the store! Speaking of moving - great new location with so much nearby. Absolutely love shopping at this store! The new building is beautiful and bright! Also, they offered personal shopping during Covid-19! They did an amazing job picking things out, sending pics and offered curbside pickup! Love this location!
I absolutely love this place. It is wonderful and very organized with sizes of children’s clothes and shoes. It is hard to clothe a child you are fostering or Caring for without spending a lot of money way too much money. This is the place anyone should come to if they need children’s clothing shoes toys whatever you need for the child including Pretty much all furniture for a child. Then when you are finished with it or the child grows out of it as long as it’s in good shape you can bring it back and they will buy it back. We all know how fast kids grow out of things. Good people. The people here are very courteous and helpful they will help you find whatever you need or suggest where you can find it
Such a wonderful store! I love how bright and clean the Waterford store is. We love shopping at Once Upon A Child because of the low prices on kids clothing and toys. Their inventory is constantly changing, so each trip is a fun and new experience. The staff have always been very kind and helpful to me, which also keeps me coming back. This store has great clothing and toys for your child, at a fraction of the cost. I have sold clothing to them once, and found it to be very easy and quick. My husband is always amazed at the deals I find while shopping here. I can only imagine how much we have saved over the past 1.5 years!
After having my little one three weeks ago ; We realized we needed a swing. So we swung by our nearest Once upon a child. The staff was amazing! They were kind and gave me the best customer service. I Left feeling like a VIP. Thank you so much. Great service! Great prices!
I was happy to see that during the lockdown I was able to still get much needed newborn to 6 months clothes and other stable baby items through distance shopping they set up. We communicated through FB messenger via pictures. I messaged them and received a response and completed shopping within a few hours! Like many others I was not prepared for the societal changes and lockdown and not having the things i needed for baby boy at 8 months was stressful, especially when buying directly from major retail was an expensive option I did not want to do. We are a frugal family and needed to save as much as we could during these uncertain times. We were able to pick up curbside the following day and had one less stress to worry about!
Love OUAC stores, but this one is officially at the bottom of my list. Three strikes, youre out. First strike: prices have been higher at this location than others, particularly with dressier clothes (approximately $1-4 more per item). Second strike: I thought the personal shopper offering during this COVID lockdown was great! They were good at picking out clothes and nice enough to deliver my items free of charge ($50+). However, I was told some items were 3T, and they are not. One is 2T and another lists no size, but fits like 24 mos. Third strike: I texted after hours, then called early next day regarding a toy posted online. I called at 1:41pm, shortly after they opened. I was told I could pay over the phone or they would hold the toy for me if I picked it up the following day. NO TIME was ever mentioned to me over the phone. When I took OFF WORK early to get there by 5pm, I was told the toy sold a bit earlier to another customer because I didnt pick it up by 1pm. Their hours are 1pm-5pm right now. No time was ever mentioned to me over the phone and no voucher was offered for this error, which could have easily saved a customer. Next time, Ill pay in advance to ANOTHER SHOP. My loyalty will continue to be with the Altamonte Springs location, which is worth the lengthier drive.
Rude staff when trying to sell items.
Pretty good selection of clothes and toys and kids stuff. They have some good discounts as well. It feels a little cramped and its not much space inside the store to keep an eye on your kid. Otherwise its a pretty good experience. People seem nice who work there.
This is a great store! You can find great deals on childrens clothing and more. The owner is a really kind person and I am happy that I am supporting small businesses in our community.
I was here earlier today disappointed. I left work on my lunch break to pick up a wagon my daughter was looking forward to getting but got there and the owner would NOT honor the price I was told by two of her employees. Thats unprofessional very disappointing and would not recommend at all.

Out of all the OUACs, I only go to this one. They are all very nice and every time I go to sell them things, they buy mostly everything I bring. Ive gotten such good deals during their clearance sales!!! Way cheaper and better than Goodwill. I got outfit sets for only 50 CENTS!!! Ive only had a bad experience one time with sensitive ears earrings I bought for my two year old daughter. They were horrible and became bent to the point I had to struggle for 15 minutes to remove them from her ears to throw them away. They were only $5, but still. This place is awesome for clothes, just not jewelry. Ill never stop shopping here. Thanks for being an amazing store!
Great experiences at this store always. The staff are always friendly and accomodating and I often find great deals on very good condition toys and clothes. Yesterday, I found a great thomas blocks set (retails for $100) for $20. It was in great condition with no missing pieces!!! Im very grateful for such a great option for budget and consumer conscious families.
Im a frequent shopper here find gently used even new items for my baby and small ones grow so fast I used to buy new clothing and feel it to be a waste when he would outgrow some clothes without even wearing them. I always find designer clothing at a 80-90% discount price I have even bought outfits for about 1.00 . Toys overpriced at the stores here at such a discount The staff is great. Very helpful and professional . I highly recommend this for all parents on a budget or not . Being a Yankees fan I have found items they no longer sell in retail stores that I would be looking for. Go when the have the sales . Sometimes as low as .50 cents . Ive been to the store on colonial walking out with nothing because their selection isnt as good as at this location. I will be going back to purchase my sons Halloween costume . I sell his clothes back at this location and use the cash to stock on clothing. Such a money saver. I used to just give his clothing away now I just go to them and purchase more clothing for my son. So glad we have a store like this helps parents budget so much

Ive only bought here, and it is certainly the go-to for items before looking at the store for brand-new. Staff is courteous, but mostly very busy behind the counter.

If you want to sell something here be prepared for them to Decline your stuff they barely buy anything maybe 1 or 2 things ( in good condition or new ) of an entire bag, they will give you an excuse and adios is whatever they feel like buying, period.

This place gets worse and worse. It used to be just overpriced compared to other OUCs. But now, its a mess in there. Toys allover. Overflow bins on the floor with racks not full of product. Poor customer service, mostly lackadaisical young adults running the store. VERY self absorbed staff with their needs in mind instead of your own. Oh, and I pretty much trip over something every time Im there. Just today, floor mat going outside was flipped up on the corner, both times I went, posing a fall risk. And the owner gives this BS line of the prices are set by the franchise lol. The franchise doesnt set most prices for furniture and many toys and strollers. They have standard pricing many of these items do not fall under, like a Chico stroller, so they get to input the price. Also, they mark if the item is new with tags, like new, or normal wear. This along with brand and what they mark the item as changes how much they give you, which in turn changes how much they will sell it for. Ive seen so much with stains once I get to the well lit counters and the employees just hang it back up. Ive seen it with my own eyes...smh. Worse OUC out of 5 Ive been to.
Not even a star!! First time on this location and was very dissapointing. They had 3 of the Brica Fold n Go™ Travel Bassinet ( $30 original price at Target)under the same conditions and same colors with different prices. Me and another client went to an employee to inquire and see if they will honor the price of $10 for all of them . The first lady said no and then the manager approached the other client an let her the price of $10 and when I asked her again she said couldnt for some ridiculous reason. It wasnt fair, one was $15 and the other $20. I wouldnt buy it knowing they all were in the same conditions besides for the one that was $10. It was unfair and pathetic whatever reason they used. These employees have a huge lack of customer service. My sister and me will never go back to this location.- Monica thank you for the response but me and the other client we were buying the same items, we both thought they all were $10 then suddenly i saw the one i was carrying it had a ticket of $20, when i asked her if i could have the same price it was because i was buying it and the employee didnt want to because of the same reasons you are writing here. I was more than willing to buy it. I still found it very bad. Im sorry you werent there.
They should have more patience with the special needs kids and should be more friendly with the parents. The last time I went I didn’t have a good experience

Me and my mom got accused of having a role of clearance stickers with us just because I use to work there . Got yelled at and told I can’t buy or sell anymore cause we find clearance items when we go shopping there . It’s so sad how badly you can get treated just cause of someone else stupidity and accusations . Oh and I’m 7 months pregnant to be gettin yelled at by some guy, very rude .
