This Pep Boys is one of the most quick and efficient autobody shops around this area. I work closely with the staff on a day to day basis, and without their help I wouldnt be able to do my own job efficiently. The heat plate was hanging off of my car and Ive been going around to different places to get it fixed but everyone was packed and there was a 1+ hour wait. They toke care of me quickly and I was able to go within 20-30 minutes. The workers were really nice, friendly and accommodating.
I cant thank Minette, the regional manager, and rest of the staff enough for their help. We were still 5 hours away from home when our car totally broke down. I still remember it was 530pm (they close at 7) when our car broke down right by their store. They went above and beyond helping us. If they didnt, I wouldve had absolutely no idea what to do. That feeling if being stranded was scary and Im so grateful they didnt just turn us away. Considering they still had to find parts for us on a Saturday evening. I highly recommend this store, very trustworthy, professional, and friendly. They could have definitely charged me an arm and a leg but they didnt. Thanks again for your excellent service. I went to Pep Boys because my brake lights wouldn’t go out. I was prepared to pay for whatever needed to be done. They were so helpful & extremely nice! I was greeted when I walked in & everyone was friendly!
Nothing short of exceptional. Im saying they are a lifesaver. My cars alternator broke and my battery drained just outside a few hundred feet from this Pep Boys. Minette and the entire staff bent over backwards for us to get up and running quickly, from making the necessary calls to get the part (and having the regional manager drop it off) to having to have the mechanic stay late past his shift to do the work… thank you so much for your hard work and sacrifice. And although at this moment they could have taken advantage of us, they did not - and even advised us of the additional savings and 6 month no interest for applying for their credit. Tested and charged our battery and everything without even needing to ask - free, of course. In and out of trouble under 2 hrs

I feels its a minor thing, but wanted to give thanks a million times to pepboys on Semoron blvd today. I was fortunate that they were open on Sunday. Got a nail in my tire and was losing air fast and they took me in right away. Was willing to pay for a new tire but i appreciate the advice from Louis(? spelling) who suggested they look at it first to see if they could patch it up since my tires are still new. It took less than an hour and when I tried to pay for the service it was on the house. Thank you to Louis for caring about their customers safety on the road. I will be a returning customer.

I feel compelled to write a review because of the great experience I had at this location. Especially because of Lily! Lily is phenomenal! I was having car trouble and my insurance towed my car to another shop that wasn’t willing to help me that day, after telling me they could. I called Pep Boys in a panic to try to see if they could help me. Lily answered the phone, she was so kind and put me at ease. I really felt like I was in good hands and a scary situation was somehow turned into a pleasant one by day’s end. Lily is truly an asset to Pep Boys as she is knowledgeable, professional, thoughtful and kind. This location has friendly and knowledgeable employees that won’t keep you in the dark about what’s going on with your vehicle. What’s the lint to have an appointment if you guys ate not going to honored it!!! I setup an appointment an 12:00 today Saturday Dec 05 220, and after 1 hour waiting for my service, a oil change, I went to the front desk to ask how long more do I have to wait; and the answer from the lady was “I don’t know, we are behind so many cars”, so I asked her what was the point to make an appointment? And her answer was “ yes, you are right, you shouldn’t make the appointment because we can’t honored it, the appointment is just to assure you are going to get the service today, but not when” . I ask for tie manager and she told me he was busy. Worst service ever. Don’t go to pepboys worst service ever.

Absolutely terrible. I called to see how long it would take to plug a tire and they told me it would be about 30 minutes. When I arrived I verified with them again that would be 30 minutes. 2 hours later they finally get my car on the lift and say they can plug it but they’re not sure it’ll hold. I said that’s fine, so they agreed to do it. A half hour later they call me back to let me know their manager won’t let them plug my tire but I can buy 4 new tires! Surprise! Seriously had me wait 2 and a half hours just to try to make me buy new tires, and all of my tires have at least 30% tread left.In the end, I never got my tire plugged and wasted an entire day. Oh and even if I wanted new tires I would have to come back the next day anyway.If you love getting jerked around and have almost three hours to spare, this is your place for sure!

Arrived at 7 am to pick up my online tire purchase before going to work for 7:30 am. With me standing and waiting at the front door for the sales clerk to acknowledge me and unlock the door, she slowly made her way the entrance with an frustrated demeanor at 7:05 am. Once she opened the door, she walks out the store to her car leaving me waiting for someone to greet and assist me at the front counter to pick up my purchase. Then she returns and have no knowledge of making a sale transaction. I gave her my name and tire size and she could not input the numbers right. The whole time, my tires are sitting next to her foot for me as I informed the employee the night before I would be there at 7 to pick up. Slowly other employees arrive and the service department had to come the register to pull up my account. A simple transaction and quick pick up that should have taken 5 minutes or less took about 15 minutes or so. Her attitude never changed throughout the interaction. The brief thought of having the tires installed with them changed very quick. I’ll take my tires to the dealership as originally planned.
I went there caise my tire had a hole on the side wall I new where it was cause was the one pull the nail out them rush to reach any tire place. First choice was tire kingdom.but the was full so I couldnt waiting.so I decided to go to pepboys didnt been the in yrs. So cause I told the person what I needed. It took about 1hr to 2hr to fix the problem witch wasnt bad timing. They couldnt fix the tire so had to get a new one. Friendly service
Marcos made my experience the best it could be. He was personable, kind, attentive, and seemed to genuinely care about my situation. He made what is an unpleasant experience for anyone (finding out your budget is blown for repairs!!!) And helped to make it manageable for me and ensured i was safe for the road.My first trip took 3 hours for an oil change and to quote their findings from my cars exam. My second trip took over an hour just to bring in my car into the garage to start work - for a scheduled appointment.Definitely not the place to go if youre looking for quick, timely service. If you have the time to wait they seem to do a good job.

In December, my 1999 Corolla was stalling when I came to a stop or when I sat with the car idling. I took it here and they said they knew why, and quoted me for several items including a new catalytic converter. $1200 worth of work. This did NOT fix the problem, so I took it back - they told me I now have a NEW problem..... a blown head gasket and the engine isnt compressing properly - and that a new engine would be $2000. Ok soooo I just did $1200 worth of work for ABSOLUTELY NO reason!?!? I ended up having to get a new car. Wasted $1200 which Im STILL paying off! I was not reimbursed or refunded anything. Dont go to this place!

Very lovely staff. They speak when u first come in. When you having issues with car they are good and helping you get another and explaining what wrong with the one you had. Good and explaining things to where you understand. Just an overall great experience with the staff for both pepboys, Lyft, and Hertz.

Dont go here. They are pushy especially being a female. They make it seem as if they have your best interest but nope. They just want to get you to buy the highest priced items they carry. If you go here, ensure you are educated on what you need. Even had an employee hangup on me, when asked a simple question about pricing with no attitude which is the only reason I am actually writing a bad review. Dont trust it.

This store has good employees but is understaffed. I went there 4 times to change oil to my F-150 and they never have the oil filter in stock. Its obvious they are loosing customers and the local and regional supervision are not taking the right actions to solve the problems. Its sad, it used to be a nice store. Today, I got my appointment for 2:00 p.m, its 5:00 pm and Im still here just for an oil change. This is the perfect way to take a company to the bankruptcy. This is a service economy, if corporate doesnt understand this fact they are done....

Went to buy an alternator with my 25% off discount. installed new alternator and it immediately failed. They tried telling me it was my battery which is 7 months old relatively new. I have a warranty on the battery from Discount Auto so I took it to Discount Auto and they ran a test in front of me which said the battery was in excellent shape. I asked Discount Auto to match Pep Boys price on the alternator which they did. I installed the alternator from Discount Auto and my charging system is running fine. Pep Boys on Semoran is a rip off
I visited this store to get windshield wipers after my wipers flew off my windshield while driving and I was low on funds. I was worried because a storm was approaching but unfortunately every store I called were too expensive for my budget and so was the wiper blades at this Pep Boys...so I left... fortunately the cashier was concerned and spoke to his manager while I was outside calling other places for Price checks and the manager offered me the discounted rate at the budget that I had to spend and I really appreciate that now Im able to get home and not worry about this storm... Thanks Pep Boys!
Always pricey. I will never take my car to theyre garage ever again. This place is not for poor people. Thats a fact. But because of that I learned how to work on my own car. I only go to pep boys to get Royal Purple oil filters. Thats it.

Setup an appointment to have my oil changed. Have a $15 coupon for a Penzzoil high mileage oil change. Walk in everything is fine until I say that I have a coupon. At that moment I am first told that it is for a do it yourself coupon, which it isnt. Then suddenly my appointment is no longer in the computer. They refused to honor my coupons of 15$ off the 39.99 oil change. Absolutely the worst people. Do Not go here!!!
Been waiting on parts for my window, for 2 weeks now. Every time I called, they said itll be here today or tomorrow for sure. I am giving them one more chance, only cause I paid over $400 dollars for this part and for labor. NEVER GO HERE! Youve been warned. Haha. Tremendous service. The only problem is me trying others before realizing how great these guys are. Tonight I had an emergency with a tire losing pressure due to a puncture. I came as they were wrapping up. I explained my issue and without hesitation took care of my tire and refused to charge me. The first time I asked for a favor to reattach my under carriage cover which was pulled off and they did it using new screws and also didnt charge me since the car was lifted anyway for my oil change. The crew was extremely helpful and didnt act like money hungry thieves looking to take advantage of people. Thank God for their generosity.

Appointment for an oil change at 4. They didn’t start working on my car until 5:45. There was only 1 car ahead of me they had 5 people standing around “working” on 1 car. If this is how fast they go with 1 person in line I can’t imagine being here on a busy day.

Brought our vehicle in to replace our Battery, (which was only 6 months old) as we had bought it at this store originally.Yes, the battery test proved bad battery so my Husband went in to work on getting the exchange taken care of. What an ordeal!!They were trying to charge him $27 during the exchange because we bought the battery on price match, which really shouldnt make a difference, as this was a warranty exchange! Umm.. no. Battery was bad, under warranty, and its the exact same battery. NOT an upgrade. SAME BATTERY. The only difference is this one was should work.The Service Manager, Alberto, argued with my husband, took him out of rotation of customers, and treated him with remarkable disregard. When we got there, there was no one waiting. By the time we were taken care of, every Bay was full.Our treatment from this store was remarkable abysmal, that even the Service Manager said and I quote it doesnt matter if you write a thousand bad reviews its not going to make a difference.Be that as it may, we shouldnt have had to call Corporate to get the issue resolved. Even then they (the store) said Next time or if this one goes bad, youll have to pay the $27. We STILL ended up paying $1.50 for tax.Yeah, next time Im going to Walmart or Advance Auto for a battery at least they treat you like a very valued customer, not a wallet.Im guessing that will be about 6 months from now.

Rude and unhelpful is how I would describe the employees at this Pep Boys. Tried to get help by phone and after 5 calls got someone that said he was too busy to help me. Called back moments later and was hung up on. I came to this location because of all the problems I had at their Sanford location. Stay far away from these useless people. They wanted $650 to replace an oil pan that I purchased and installed myself in 15 minutes at a cost of $49. This company is a ripoff, useless repair facility.
I came into the store because I had a battery issue and they told me my battery was completely dead while accusing me of having my battery sit in my car for long periods of time. Which in fact is completely false cause as a full time college student and working full time, I only have one car. Then they told me it would take a little over an hour for them to charge the battery for them to be able to test the battery. So I dropped off the battery appx 6:15pm came back at 7:20 and my battery test still wasnt ready. Finally they told me my battery needed to be replaced but they were telling me I had to drive all the way to the location on powers dr to do a warranty exchange cause I didnt have my receipt. I requested them to call the store and after minutes of hesitation they finally called and got my receipt information. The manager then continued to ask me who installed the battery in the first place and I responded by saying pep boys installed it cause I dont know how to. So he responded by saying, oh well I install my own batteries. I have never felt so belittled in my life. Being at this location made me feel extremely comfortable and I would never go back here again. I finally received my battery at 8:01pm after all the drama. While the manager continued to give me attitude up until the point of me exiting the building.

This was my first time being serviced by Pep Boys, and Im very surprised by the great service my husband and I received.We were visiting family in Orlando for the 4th of July weekend when our car broke down on the side of the road. Even though it was closing time when were were finally able to bring our car in they inspected it immediately.Their readings said our problem was the alternator, but we told them it was less than a year old. A $500 expense. We were really concerned especially since we needed to be back home for work within a few day. The next morning they called us saying they investigated further because they agreed with us that it shouldnt be the alternator. They found it was a small wire in the alternator and fixed it for us. It ended up being $5 and they wouldnt charge labor!We drove it off the lot and that night it died again!!Obviously really worried we brought it back to them the next day to have them help us figure this out. They were obviously not happy it broke down again, but they were super kind to us and sorry we had to be dealing with this yet again. That day they found some other small problems, and fixed EVERYTHING for no charge!Im finding another Pep Boys in my home town and giving them my business!!! When your car breaks down you worry about being scammed, and even though they could have taken advantage of us and our need to be home for work quickly, they fixed everything and provided great costumer service!
