Well let me start by saying sometimes n major of these body shops now a days say n promise a lot to a customers n then when it comes to the day of picking up the cars theirs always n issue with a flaws on what they do !! But when I look up ally auto / color recon n went to visit them before making my decision on where to take the car n get fixed .. I had the pleasure on meeting Robert which he was a nice wonderful person n show me around the shop to feel more comfortable n to reliable on what they do n how they work !! They are very detailed on what they do n thats why I choose to work with them n not a different shop !! I had my car get hit in the rear bumper it wasnt much on damage it was mostly just replacing 1 part but mainly painting the bumper n they really did an awesome job on painting my bumper just like when I got it from the dealership I was really stoked when I saw the job done !! They really would surprised you specially if you ever been to other body shops.. where they lack on paint jobs n have to repaint over what they have done thats not the body shop you wanna go to !!! So I definitely recommend ya to check out ally auto color recon n when you see the body shop it speaks for it self 👌.. after I got my car back n I had to replace my side markers lights back to the laser lights I had put on before I found out that the body shop keep my pet bolts that hold the side marker lights n I couldnt put the new lights on because they werent The correct t25 torque screw to hold the lights n ..I put tape just to cover the gap of when I took the lights off .. thinking that if I come back to the bodyshop n they would do rite for me n they call the manager Jerry n he came out side n I told him the issue I had n he went to the back n gave me back my t25 screws back n I told him if he could put the side markers lights back on for me since they messed up on their side by not giving me my originals screw n giving different screws n missing clips for my right inner fender well . he told me he couldnt help me at all on putting them back sending me back home for me to Finnish the job my self which it was only just to put the lights back on .. he said he had no time for a me as a customer when I was just here couple days ago

We took our newly purchased used car with 50k miles on it. They restored the paint to like new condition and ceramic coated it and now it looks much better than when we purchased it. We are very impressed and will be using them for any other services we need.

Although I did not get my car repaired with Color Recon, I would be absolutely comfortable that they would do an outstanding job with any repair I may need. My situation is very long and complex, and involved insurance companies not wanting to pay for PROPER repairs which ultimately led to lawsuit, and due to insurance delays I was not able to repair here. However, Juan and his team have shared with me invaluable information and opened the door of knowledge about the dirty and filthy world of how insurance companies (of all kinds, for that matter) operate. I honestly wish I had known this information way before hand and I would have brought my car directly to Color Recon, or a repair shop like Color Recon (very few in the Orlando area) that is CERTIFIED in PROPER repairs and not shortcut repairs that are not up to your specific car manufacturers standards, and are labeled as industry standard, instead. My car needed paint correction and ceramic coating. I did my research and went to Color Recon as my previous two cars have been painted by them. Robert and Juan gave me three levels of paint correction and let me choose the price I wanted to pay. My car is black with years of swirls, halos and “spider webs”. I also went with the latest coating technology called graphene. I am very happy with the results

Recently purchased a used Toyota Tundra TRD pro. Well the previous owner marred the paint and left scratches all over the front end. Appeared he used a scotch gaurd dish pad to get off love bugs or something (was really bad). Well I attempted to buff out the scratches paint but it was beyond paint correction. Looked for places to repaint the front end as the rest of the truck looked perfect and couldnt look past the front end. Let me just say this shop did amazing work. Not only was the price very reasonable/competitive the paint is flawless. Robert was very professional and kept me informed through the process. I already recommended them to all my family and friends as it was a pleasant experience with quality work. They did a great job all the way through from estimate until the repair was finished. Everyone else was telling me that the paint was going to crack and one estimate was almost $900. Color recon completed the paintless dent removal of 2 small dents on the crease of my door without cracking the paint for 1/2 the price. This is my second time coming to Color Recon, theyre great and always do things the right way! Robert helped me every step of the way. Although my car wasnt all that badly damaged, I was still concerned that my Miata would never look the same, boy was I wrong, the rear of my car looks better than the day I bought it, you cant even tell I was rear ended. I visited Color Recon yesterday to get a quote to paint and replace a rear bumper on our 2000 Toyota Camry. I told the owner/manager that I had already purchased the bumper - just needed them to do a nice matching paint job and replace the bumper. I explained that I had already been quoted a price of $350 from a shop down the street and wanted to see if they could do better on the price. I was provided a brochure and hard copy quoted price of $289 + tax for a total of $307.79. (see attached pix of the quote)We discussed dropping the vehicle off that evening or early in the morning so they could start work and finish it by Friday PM. I decided to bring it back in the morning. When I arrived at around 8:30 with the new bumper, the owner/manager asked what I wanted to do with the bumper. I was a bit perplexed - thought he was referring to the old damaged bumper. I asked him to clarify. He said the price I was quoted yesterday was just for painting and that it would cost another $75 to remove the old bumper and install the new bumper.Needless to say, I was astounded bcz I had made it very clear that I was looking for paint and replace service. I asked him, “Why would I come to you to do the same job for a higher price as I was just quoted by your competitor down the street?” He offered to drop the install price to $50. He apologized and said it was a misunderstanding/miscommunication. I told him, “No it wasn’t. I made it very clear what I wanted and if he could provide the service at a better price.” He apologized again. But the bottom line is, I was quoted one price and when I showed up for the work, the price mysteriously increased, even though I had been provided a hard copy quote the previous day. (Unfortunately, I did not have the hard copy quote which clearly states “Repl Paint and refinish” for $307.79.)In addition, why did we discuss leaving my car overnight if they were only going to paint the new bumper? We discussed it bcz he knew that the quote was for removing the old and installing the new bumper after it had been painted. So there was no misunderstanding/miscommunication with what I wanted and what I was quoted. It was just that he wanted to squeeze an additional $50 out of me.This is all on top of the fact that I had driven 5 miles there in 8:15 am traffic, arranged for my son to pick me up and drop me back home, then had to drive back home again, bcz the owner/manager decided to all of a sudden increase his price. As I told him, I am very unhappy with their unprofessionalism and last minute changes in price just as I am about to drop the vehicle off to start the work. Very uncool and very disappointed. Watch out for this guy!PS I dont object to businesses making a profit. I do object to being quoted a price for a service, then raising the price when you drive up to drop off your car for service. I guess you cant rely on a written quote from Color Recon!

I was very disappointed with my experience with Color Recon. I went a while back to get an estimate for a cosmetic repair of my lower lip front bumper due to three moderate dents and i was quoted $389 (see picture attached). I went back again today to get an estimate for the same repair because i thought i had lost my original quote. Today I was quoted $689 for the same repair (see picture attached). Somehow the cost had almost doubled! I called Color Recon and spoke with the owner Juan; unfortunately, he was not willing to honor the original estimate, because according to him, the original estimate was only for one side of the bumper. However, the estimate I requested was for the whole bumper. As anyone can clearly see on both estimates the the whole bumper was circled and no distinctions were made about it being left or right. Moreover, why would anyone repair or quote a repair of one side of the bumper and not the other side? I can understand if the price of a repair goes up, it does happen, but almost doubling in cost?! Also, if a business cant stand by a genuine estimate given, what can they stand for?Reply to his response...Mr. Juan,Let me start by saying, Wow! You just responded with one lie after another, I am in disbelief! I told you I’d blackmail you if you didn’t offer me a lower price?! Seriously?! How far are you willing to drag yourself in the gutter before admitting you were wrong?Sorry, but your alternative facts here are not valid. The true facts are: first, I never told you I had lost my original estimate, I told you I couldn’t find it, which I later did. Second, I do not have more damages in the bumper now than what I did when I first sought your quote. What you saw the first time around is the same as what you saw the last time. You either made a mistake on your original quote or you were just plainly trying to rip me off. Third, I never expected you to accept the old estimate, the only reason I brought it up was when you insinuated I was lying about you quoting me $389 to do the repair, which you did. Also, the only reason I waited to do the repair was based on your own advice! You told me to wait until almost the end of my lease to do the repair, which I am doing.You sir are being dishonest and you certainly lack in the integrity department. You obviously have no business doing estimates if you cannot do them properly and honorably. But if you must, when you make a mistake, own up to it! Don’t go online and start spreading lies in order to make you sound better, which by the way, it doesn’t.Nevertheless, I am very happy this happened; first, it exposes people to the kind of bullying and crappy service they might encounter at your business. And second, I was able to find a very reputable place that is doing the repair for only $189, saving me $500 and a headache.

Robert was very kind and his team actually went above and beyond what they were required to do ... I didnt just get the minimum. He listened and offered different options to work within my particular circumstances. My bumper looks nice, my front wheel is no longer noisy, and Im happy with the service.

I walked into this shop a total emotional wreck after being in a wreck. A week later, I left an informed and empowered customer thanks to Robert. If it weren’t for him and this amazing shop, I would have probably listened to the at fault driver’s insurance company and let them fix my car with junkyard parts at their choice of body shop. Robert explained the entire process and made it clear that he was working for me and not the insurance company. He provided a very detailed and honest estimate, which the insurance company could not refute. My car was deemed a total loss, which worked in my favor since I was able to get a new and improved replacement. If it weren’t for Robert, I would have settled for less driving my children around in an unsafe vehicle. Let’s face it, no one wants to be in an accident. I was recently involved in a collision right before all this COVID madness so I knew the process of repairing my car was going to be tougher than usual from the get go. Luckily, Color Recon did everything in their power to reassure me in this time of uncertainty. I was fully informed of my options, time frame, and what was expected from me (Which very much helped me maintain strong communication between my insurance and the body shop). As mentioned earlier, Color Recon takes each case and lays out all available repair options. Meaning that I never felt out of the loop when it came to the work that was being done, the pricing, and my responsibility as the car owner. Would very much recommend to others as these are certified technicians. My car looks just as new (Which i was paranoid about since it had a deep impact but thats why we leave it to the pros. I found Color Recon through a basic google search and saw that it had great reviews. I went in and dropped my car off for a minor accident. Whether it was through phone call or in person, these guys know how to extend great customer service. Id even go as far as saying that many businesses could learn a thing or two about customer service from Color Recon.There were some issues with processing my claim, but Juan and his staff worked tremendously hard on my behalf. I was hit by a company vehicle and their insurance were fighting very hard to oppose the fixes Juan recommended. For 13 days, the fix was delayed, but Juan worked with me, fighting with the insurance company the whole way through. I highly doubt any other shop would have done the same given the minor damage my car had.Juan and his staff were so accommodating and I truly felt that they were on my side and wanting me to get my car repaired properly. When they finally were given the go ahead, my car not only was fixed beautifully, but my car was cleaned so professionally as well. I was simply impressed with everything Juan and his staff did for me. My experience with Color Recon was great. Robert thoroughly explained the ins and outs of repairs and was there every step of the process. I highly recommend them.Edit - I wanted to come back and add more towards the review once I was done with the whole car damage claim process. I was in a tough situation with the Insurance company as I didnt have comprehensive/ collision coverage. Robert understood that I wasnt at fault and should be fully covered by the at fault drivers insurance company. He helped me find a lawyer for my case and was also very understanding of my situation. I finally came out of the whole insurance claim mess without losing my money and I think if I wouldnt have found color recon, it would have gone very differently.

A+ service! I got my car back the same day even though I was told it may take a while longer and they even gave it a free wash with the service. The inside of the building is spotlessly clean and modern with a couch and free drinks, coffee and water. I had a wet sand and buff done. The work they did on my car was great, I love the way it looks! Ill definitely be going back to them for future jobs. The staff is extremely friendly and down to earth which is a plus.

After having my synergy green Camaro taken care of by the boys at color recon, I will not go anywhere else. They were very reliable and kept me updated during the entire process. My car came out looking as good as it did the day I bought it. They had to blend the fender and door, due to a side swipe, and I cannot tell the difference in color at all. Their attention to detail is spot on. Again, I will not trust my car with anyone else!

Color Recon repaired my 2016 Ford Fiesta ST after a child ran their bike into the side of my car while it was parked. The damage was a nasty deep scratch in the fender, and the team at Color Recon repaired it perfectly.The repair process was very technical, as they had to remove a number of pieces of the bodywork to be able to remove the fender. I was very pleased to find a shop with a high level of skill that could handle the job with ease.The entire team made the whole repair process a breeze, as the were very personable and took good customer service to the next level. I would highly recommend this shop if youre in the need of a trustworthy and dependable place to repair your vehicle.

This is a really great body shop. The staff are really friendly, and Juan especially will go above and beyond what is necessary to take care of you. It makes you feel like youre actually cared for. Hell also deal with the insurance companies for you. Im really happy that I chose this body shop and would definitely recommend it.

Color recon did an awesome job with my car. Cami and Juan helped me out tremendously and they were extremely nice. They were very informative and kept me in the loop during the process. It did take a long time (30 days), but honestly it was worth it for all original parts. My insurance company wanted to use after market parts, but they made it to where I could get all new original parts. My looks good as new, and I couldnt be happier with it. You get what you are paying for when it comes to this shop, and that is spectacular service.

In my case, they advised me to sell my car before paying for repairs since I did not plan on keeping the car. They even helped me to understand the value of my car and directed me to someone who could buy it from me quickly. I dropped off my Blue Lexus IS300 at the Color Recon. I spoke directly to the Owner Juan. I can simply say the service was second to none. He went above and beyond with his customer service in addition to the expertise in which the car was repaired. Not only did he do everything that he said he was going to do, he threw in a few extras. HE constantly kept me in the loop. The car is a 2002 model and it could easily pass for a 2012 model. Simply A++++ Amazing Service, Amazing Body work and paint.

My vehicle was backed into while I was parked in a restaurant. I took it into Color Recon because of the honesty they had shown me in the past.I had to go through insurance so I did not know exactly what I was doing or what to expect. The guys at Color Recon made the process painless and easy to deal with. They communicated extremely well, much better than the other shops I took it to. Through this communication, I was able to stay on top of my insurance claim process and more importantly, get my vehicle on the road as soon as possible.They operate with integrity and they honestly do some of the best paint work I have ever seen. Unlike other shops, they go above and beyond. Their car wash consists of painstakingly removing excess dirt with claybar - a very time consuming process, full interior and exterior detailing, tire shine and a premium synthetic car wax.Suffice it to say, the car came out arguably better than it came in and I felt really good about picking it up.Know that these folk are working for the consumer and not the insurance company - like most other body shops in the area; truly a diamond in the rough.

I was flabbergasted by Juans honesty and integrity during the process of repairing our car. He went out of his way to contact me and inform me about additional repairs that needed to be done. This place is an absolute joke. Sleezy salesmen. Prices are outrageous. They gave me and estimate on a brochure with different levels silver, gold etc... Never in my life have I seen a body shop offer different levels or repair, you fix it right, or you dont. Their price was triple to quadruple any other estimate Ive gotten. And if you noticed there are a dozen body shops within a 5 mile radius of this one. I chose this place based on Google reviews. I found out that most car body repair shops listings are bloated with fake reviews, especially on Yelp, where many good reviews got filtered and fake reviews get to stay (sad but true).Anyhow, I am a car enthusiast and very picky about how body repair is done on my car, but I know its nearly impossible for a body repair job to be perfect at the first time.First shot at my car here was not perfect, and I mentioned it to the owner (you probably know his name by now from the other reviews). He looked at it, and, no questions asked, issued me a rental car out of his pocket, telling me that the car will stay for another 3 days.Three days after, my car was done, and perfect.It appeared to me that they took care of my car like its their own, and they were happy doing it. No sad or bored faces around here. The repair cost here is a bit higher than others, but youll get MORE that what you (or your insurance) pay for.By the time I write this review, my friends car is already in the shop for a repair. Their good business moral will keep bringing a lot of cars to their shopPS: If you are like me, dont go to Irish Mikes; big name, nice place, but I had to take my car back 5 times and they still couldnt get it done right.

Id like to piggyback on the review posted by Jose Figuroa. My wife was the one that recieved the quotes of 3100, 4500, and 8100 for a 4in minor dent on the back quarter panel. My issue is not with the price. A company can charge any outrageous amount they choose at their own peril. It remains with the consumer to find the best quality and price for their needs. My issue is with the statement your saleman made Just put it through your insurance. There wont be any penalties because they process so many claims it wont be noticed. This quote was completely irresponsible and dangerous. He can cause someone alot of hardship making such a claim. I can only hope that this practice of telling someone anything to secure a sale comes to an abrupt end. It is completely unethical and I would never recommend a company that engages in this type of practice to anyone. Please change this practice and I wish your company well.

I recommend Color Recon to everyone! Color Recon has been with me for over 10 years, since my very first car. The first time I went to Color Recon it was my fault and the second time (different car) I was rear ended. Ive taken all of my cars to Color Recon because of the quality of work, attention to detail, and customer service. I plan on visiting them again soon not because of an accident but because my car needs some love. Between rock chips, bug damage, and yellow headlights I know that fixing those things will make my car look like new!

My car was keyed, a few surface scratches that did not go through to the metal on the passenger side. However, although its an 18 year old car, I have keep it garaged or covered at work throughout the ten years in my possession – in perfect condition. The scratches were not visible unless you were looking in certain lighting, at a certain angle. To me, it was not perfect anymore so I searched for the best shop. Based on reviews and high-end cars I saw there and also the explanation of the process, I chose Color Recon. This choice was against my wifes advice as what she saw from the get-go was glibness. Juan dealt directly with my insurance company telling me he would get the maximum amount for my benefit, and constantly berated them calling them cheap and unwilling to pay.Three different glass companies sent by my insurance company to remove the windshield and replace it after painting refused to deal with this shop. The third one did remove the windshield but refused to go back to deal in any way with this shop.My wife purchased a new windshield from Lexus and personally delivered it. Juan was not thrilled, to say the least, stating he would now have to be responsible for it until it was mounted and advising her to get a lawyer and sue the insurance company. When I called – now a month and a half later – to check on status, I was told it would take a week to put the car back together.After seven weeks, I finally got a call that the car was ready and when my wife went to pick it up and gave him the check, he stormed to the door holding it open for her to leave and asked someone to open the gate for him to store my car, stating she had been told no personal checks were accepted. She had not, in fact, been told. He stated that he knew she would walk out the door and immediately put a stop-payment on the check. She asked if he accepted another form of payment and was able to make the payment. All in all, between Juans invoice of over $5000, new windshield and rental for seven weeks, the cost was over $7,400. Book value on this car is $4813.Workmanship: While keyed scratches were now gone and the paintless dent removal did remove most dings, the paint on the door and front bumper was not perfectly matched. Also, the door now has a shimmy when opening and closing it which was not there when car was taken in. There is a visible flaw on the trim and the tint on one of the back windows was removed.Juan refuses to take responsibility stating insurance company did not pay for new trim, perfect matching is impossible because entire car was not painted, doesnt know what happened to door and tint was glass companys responsibility.Its interesting that I could not leave this review on Color Recons website as it could not verify me as a customer.I would definitely NOT recommend this shop but would urge its owner to take a class in people skills.
