We went to Home Depot to buy a washer and dryer. They delivered it with a huge dent in it! The drivers knew there was damage to the unit before they removed it from the truck. Why was it on the truck? Anyway Home Depot gave me a new delivery date of more than 30 days.I called southeast Steele. They had the same unit. It was less expensive. They delivered it and set it up with in 4 days. They would not put a damaged unit on the truck. My unit was delivered in perfect condition. Thank you.

All started out great and they do have good prices and good quality appliances. Where they could improve is with the customer service and working with you as a customer to resolve issues. Our rep that we always dealt with Evans doesnt always get back with you or when Ive spoken to him makes you feel like your wasting his time. We have had several issues with deliveries and I work for a property management group that has spent a lot of money in just 1 year with this company but have moved on I cant even get the ice maker owed to us for a fridge. They have told me on three occasions a delivery date I tell the tenant and they no show 3 times now. several deliveries even when confirmed the night before no show and when I call upset I was told by Dan well if your not happy I can refund your money and you can go somewhere else not the best way to keep customers. I did take his advice and went elsewhere where they want to do business with us and make money. Asked several times from Dan and Evans for a contact email for management and was always told I will email that information to you. Never happened by maybe its coming with that ice maker I dont think we will ever see which mind you was paid for. But we will just have to contact American Express and let them resolve this matter. Very disappointing . The delivery guys have always been great and mindful of the property and removed all packaging and old appliances. I think maybe some customer service training would help improve things not sure. But look at the amount of money we spent there in past year and we are still actively purchasing appliances for our units.

Another great experience with Southeast Steel! Bought a Refrigerator here 10 years ago and had a great experience, just in here today as we are in need of another one, and Dave took excellent care of us. We were knowledgeable about what we needed, and he answered all of our questions on the floor, helped us with a couple of our upgrades that we are so excited about, and gave us everything we needed expeditiously. I always love knowledgeable, good-priced companies, and this place is beyond reputable in the great city of Orlando. Looking forward to loading that thing up what tons of food!🍔🌭🌮🌯🥙🥗

We worked with John M. on getting a new refrigerator that had to be 35 5/8 inches to fit our cutout and he was great the whole way through. Not pushy, knew his stuff and exhausted all resources to help find what we were looking for. I went here to buy a new dishwasher. Was greeted by Paul and he explained everything about the Bosh dishwashers that were available. He answered all my questions and I was very satisfied with all of the information. He set up instillation with Victor and said he would call me to schedule a time to come out. 2 days later my dishwasher has been installed and we’re very happy... We have been buying appliances from this place forever mainly because these people have the knowledge about whatever appliance you’re buying. And usually the item you need is in stock. They have been in business for a long time because they are trustworthy and reliable.

I HIGHLY recommend this place. We bought from Lowes and had terrible problems. We came here and they were knowledgeable, friendly, had good prices, they dont try to hard sell, and their installation men report to them so you are not left trying to solve problems on your own. It was a terrific experience and if you need what they carry, come see them. You wont regret it. I wouldnt buy appliances from anyone else. They have been in business since 1940 and it shows.

These people don’t know what they are doing there they just want to sell products they have no ideas about anything they are selling. Be sure not work with Evans Harris his not someone that know about basic customer service, he just wants to focused on problems and never thinks though a resolutions. His customer service skills is very poor. He needs training on how to engage clients when handling issues. I usually don’t write any negative reviews, however I feel like the person in charge or customers needs to know about my experience.

This is my first review EVER of a company but under the circumstances, I felt it was necessary to make my experience known. I have been an Orlando resident for 23 years and have heard about Southeast Steel from friends who purchase appliances from the best in town. I take pride in looking for quality items and was told that they were known for their quality experienced sales people and exceptional customer service. I stopped by Southeast Steel and was quickly introduced to a gentleman who was eager to assist and answer my questions. After spending some time and getting a quote, I decided to do some comparison shopping, considering the high expense for replacing all my kitchen appliances. During my initial visit with this gentleman, I asked about the difference in purchasing at Southeast Steel vs. the other appliance stores in town, and was told that customer service is really what stands Southeast Steel apart from all others. I was also told that each salesperson is an expert and is knowledgeable in their field and that they work on commission, therefore I should expect that each sales person spend as much time as I needed to ask questions. Soon after February Presidents Day sales, I returned to the store and spoke to the same sales person. I quickly learned that all the prices for the appliances I was interested in had significant price increases since my last visit. I neglected to share that during my first visit, I was told about the numerous mail-in rebates I would receive for the LG appliances and so the savings seemed worth coming back for. But as mentioned the prices had increased, although the rebates were still being offered. I purchased the appliances and received all the rebate forms as anticipated. My appliances arrived somewhat as scheduled, with the exception of my dishwasher which was delayed another 3 days. During the installation of the range, I learned that the slide-in version of the LG-Range is very different than the slidein version of the Samsung or Frigidaire - Range, which can be used on an even/flat counter-top/island. I was confused as to how I could fix the problem and friends suggested I call Southeast Steel to return my appliances and purchase the Samsung or Frigidaire brand to fix my problem. I was hesitant to call, but figured it was my only option. Note that I really wanted the LG appliances and the thought of going through the hassle of returning and buying a different brand was not something I wanted to do. I reached out to Southeast Steel and once again spoke with the friendly salesperson about my dilemma. Hoping I would received some guidance or support for my issue, I was greeted by the huffing and puffing over the phone and was told immediately that my appliances were already out of their boxes and could not be returned. I reminded him that they were out of their boxes because this is how they were delivered (Southeast Steel did not install my appliances - this was my choice). He said that he was not sure he could do anything about the problem and asked that I come in to the store right-away to see what could be done. Needless to say, I decided to make adjustments to my kitchen design to accommodate the LG appliances as originally purchased. I was disappointed how quickly the sales person dismissed my request when I needed help, and how eager he was to help me when I first entered the store. Today, I sit at my computer to complete all the rebates and learn that the rebates I was given, are out of date. Long story short, I am disappointed in the manner in which the service was provided and feel that in the end, I sacrificed bargain for unacceptable customer service. It goes without mention, that I will not be purchasing any appliances in the future.

This appliance store is a bit difficult to get to, with their parking lot being barely able to contain the number of customers that you find here, but the trip will be worth your time.We were referred to Craig Menzies from a friend of ours and while the other staff there is probably just as good, I can vouch for him personally. If you havent tried to locate appliances during the past few months, consider yourself lucky. The ongoing COVID crisis has significantly delayed the building and shipping of many of these things - particularly refrigerators. Prior to coming here, we had spent several hours at a major home improvement store in the area, ordering five separate pieces. Without being able to get all five items at once, we were resigned to wait until all came in order to get even one.Two months later, we were still waiting and gave Southeast Steel a shot to take our money. Craig was very knowledgeable about the appliance industry and could tell from the model numbers what we were looking at. He had almost everything in stock and could quickly make recommendations about other alternatives, without pressuring us to upgrade. We made our selections, after about an hour of time viewing and discussing the appliances and Craig finalized the sale.The store met or exceeded the major chain costs, had a much greater selection, delivers and installs them much more cheaply and hauls off the old appliances for free. In addition, there were some benefits related to the warranties, having them extended.I will tell you that this is now my first choice for anything appliance related. Things being the way that they are, there is still a wait for some of our appliances, but Id much rather wait on a company like Southeast Steel, where I feel like a valued customer than a big box store where Im a number.

I contacted Southeast Steel to purchase a new refrigerator. I explained my current situation and how LG said my 4 year old refrigerator was not covered under warranty. Craig M suggested I contact the manufacturer again and provided the phone number. Turns out LG is going to repair it under full warranty. I would recommend Southeast Steel and Craig because they were more concerned about my situation than selling me a new refrigerator! That is Customer Service!!!

I spoke with a sales representative by phone in an attempt to purchase a dryer and was told there are 2 in stock. Because of schedule I could not go immediately to purchase it and asked to pay in full by credit car and then pick up the item tomorrow. I was told NO, you cannot do that because you are a new customer and we dont know you. This, during a global pandemic when every bit of guidance is to avoid face to face interaction and virtually every business is offering pay in advance, cashless curbside service/pickup. Even under normal circumstances, this is an illogical policy when the buyer initiates the call but during the midst of the worst global pandemic in history it is irresponsible. This person was incorrect: I am not a new customer, although I tried to be, and I never will be. I went on to purchase the desired item within 30 minutes from a larger retailer and they gladly accepted my money and my business (and they are delivering it for free, not for $80). After seeing Southeast Steel advertisements for years and hoping to support a local business during this difficult time, I finally decided to try this business. I should have waited longer; lesson learned.In reply to the response from the owner: First, the customer would simply present ID when picking up the product. Second, the risk you describe can be applied to virtually every online retail transaction and to every brick and mortar transaction in which customers pay remotely with curbside pickup. For decades, credit card companies have provided ample protection to consumers and retailers when addressing the issue of fraud. You are certainly entitled to adopt whatever policy you choose when collecting payment from customers, just as customers are free to select which retailers to do business with, but your premise does nothing to protect all customers, the credit card companies do that, and it simply introduces a needless barrier to conducting business.

I purchased over the phone a Bosch stove, microwave, fridge, and dishwasher from Southeast Steel on a Tuesday installed next day. Gregory has been an absolute pleasure I would definitely request him when calling to speak to a sales person. He put together an awesome package for me over the phone and got everything buttoned up nicely. Last but not lease DEFINITELY request MD Appliance Installations when you purchase anything. The lead installation gentleman is a complete badass and knows his stuff. He had to make quite a few minor modifications which I was nervous about but he handled everything without complaining once. He also wiped everything down afterwards which was a really nice extra. He even took the time to explain the basics of each appliance and set the time as well!! Our washing machine broke ! Costco and Home Depot were delayed with ordering 2 weeks. Decided we wanted to get an induction cooktop to replace our electric one. Did a lot of research online looking at brands and features but we still wanted to see the cooktops in person. Made a trip to Southeast Steel today as we figured they would have a wide variety. Not only were we right about their stock, we met Craig who was absolutely amazing! Like I said we did a good bit of research but Craig was so knowledgeable. He helped confirm what we already read about, he answered some of the questions we still had and showed us some of the functions that you just can’t see when reading specs. There was no pushy sales pitch - just straight education and questions to make sure we were looking at the right type of cooktop for our needs and the compatibility of what was already setup in the kitchen. Hours later I’m still thinking that I’m so glad we visited because it’s given me confidence to ensure we are choosing the right model. The type of knowledge and customer service Craig gave us is a dying practice. Great job Southeast Steel and thank you Craig Menzies!

Tried to buy a microwave oven. Needed a specific type / model. Told by sales person that the GE replacement model was not in stock and I should just keep calling back every week or so to check when it will be available. I did my own research and discovered the model was actually discontinued and there was another recommended model. I called back and informed him of this fact. I was then told that I could NOT order over phone, I would need to come to the store. Ended up purchasing from another Orlando area store. Got it faster and for about $50 less.10/29/19 update (per response from SE Steel): I did NOT know it was discontinued when I called. I did some more research AFTER calling you (simple google search, would have expected the appliance expert to know this). Do not have an issue if you just made a mistake or an oversight. Your response sounds like it is BLAMING me, why would I ask you about a product if I know it is discontinued. Just saying, customer service is the thing that separates the many places that sell the SAME products.

Southeast Steel, an Orlando institution, deserves that status as they provide excellent customer service and a wide array of appliances in all price points. Most recently, we purchased the new Bronze Sunset Whirlpool appliances and we could not be happier with either them, or the service we received from Southeast Steel. The first dishwasher arrived with a dented front panel that was installed and then, when the new one arrived, they replaced it in a timely manner. Our salesman, Craig Menzies, who weve worked with for over 25 years, is exceptional. You cannot go wrong with Southeast Steel!

Not aggressive enough!Really felt like I wasted my time!Started pricing a new kitchen (Fridge, Microwave/oven combo, and dishwasher...not cheap stuff) in December of 2018. Staff was friendly and very informative (reason for the two stars).Wasnt ready to commit so I was told to come back in a month (new year) for new prices from the manufacturer. Went back and what-do-you-know the prices went up! Was then told to come back when they held the previous customer event. Again, original prices were okay but not good. This was in January 2019.Just went in today (February 2019) for the previous customer sale and prices only went down by $50. This is supposed to be the best deals of the year. On $7,000 worth of appliances their price only went down by 0.7%...yes, 0.7%.After the 2nd time pricing I found a more aggressive appliance seller. I knew I could get it for about $500 less. SE Steel, you need to be more Aggressive!

After purchasing our first home, dealing with other vendors for other house work, and dealing with life in general, the last thing we wanted to worry about is coordinating our appliances but this was easy. From the get-go, Craig was extremely knowledgeable, attentive, and polite. He truly did guide us through our purchase and helped us get the best products and deal for our scenario. It meant the world to us since we are shelling out money in every direction to make this new house our “home”. We did a ton of research and nobody was even close to being considered when comparing the quality and value provided. Lastly, the delivery guy/installer, Benito, was so nice and such low maintenance. Received a call Friday around noon to schedule a delivery to my condo next day Saturday. They asked that someone be home to receive it, I said sure. Saturday noon rolls around and no call, so I call them to see whats up and they tell me they have no order scheduled. I get 2 days off a week to do fun things besides work and errands, and they waste my entire Saturday because they dont schedule deliveries properly. I asked if they can schedule it and they said No sir our trucks are already routed. Wont even try to earn the satisfaction of a disgruntled customer. 1 star man.

My new refrigerator is absolutely beautiful. My salesperson was very knowledgeable and informed me of all options/sizes available to me. The delivery guys were right on time and extremely careful with the installation. Doors had to be removed from the unit and my home, which initially made me nervous, but there was no reason to be. Every aspect of my experience went perfect. I wont buy from anywhere else.

This is THE PLACE to get appliances! All around perfect experience from knowledge to price to delivery. LOVE every appliance they sold us. Bought a Samsung slide in range, GE microwave, Bosch Dishwasher, bar refrigerator and range hood. The salesman helped match each item to our specific need. All appliances are by far our favorites we have owned. Dont shop anywhere else! Forget the big box stores; youll be much happier here!

My wife and I had a very negative experience here over the weekend and will not return back. The salesperson did not know their product very well when we asked questions. He also was rude to my wife when she was asking simple questions about the buttons on the machine. Then to top it off, the salesperson was talking to us about lifestyles and was incredibly disrespectful towards us because he didnt like our answers about our lifestyle. He heard us answer his question and he huffed and puffed and walked away from us, never to return to help us with the sale. We went to another store and learned that the little information the salesman knew was factually incorrect anyway. We left very disappointed and will never return to this establishment again.

Kudos to Southeast Steel for customer service above and beyond. My 5 year plus 6 week old ice maker stopped working and rather than saying Sorry, its out of warranty John Latacki worked diligently with the manufacturers rep to help resolve the issue. John was unfailingly knowledgeable, polite and effective in reaching a satisfactory conclusion to the situation. Thanks to him Southeast Steel is my go to place for appliances.

I had the WORST experience EVER! I have never reviewed a business before but what happened deserves 0 stars. The salesperson, Terry, made my kitchen remodel a nightmare. I purchased all new appliances. He ordered and I received the wrong refrigerator and microwave. I had to wait for the correct ones to be ordered and delivered, which he charged me a delivery fee. There was a substantial amount of money due back to me. I used it towards the range hood. I went to pick it up, an hour one-way, and it was the wrong one. The credit amount I figured and he insisted it was was 300$ he wasnt going to give me. Terry was rude and wasted 4 hours of my time because he doesnt know what hes doing! I got someone else involved, straightened it out and hopefully the correct hood will be delivered next week. Do NOT have Terry assist you at Southest Steel.

We purchased all our kitchen Appliances back in 2016. The salesman highly recommended stainless steel GE. What junk!!!! Everything we’ve purchased has had issues. I doubt they last 5 years. Do yourself a favor pay a little more and buy from Lowe’s. When I called I was blown off and quoted a price to replace.Update to their response that “ they will look into it tomorrow”.I’ve yet to hear from them. As of 1-22-19

My washing machine died on Thur and Dan Cossart had a new one delivered and installed by 9:30 on Tue morning. We had 3 loads done by 4 PM. Everything about the transaction was great -phone sale, credit card transaction, delivery and installation. I will continue to use SE Steel because they get it.

Dont waste your time at big Box stores where high school students know nothing about the products they are selling. This is the only place to purchase appliances In Orlando. They listen to your needs and find what fits your budget space and needswithout overselling or underselling you for things you dont need or might need

This business is located just off I4 near downtown Orlando. They have a wide variety of all appliances imaginable on site and had some great deals when I visited. If they dont have a specialty item you need, they can probably order it. The staff is very knowledgeable and egar to help you find the appliances you need.
