Everyone was courteous and professional. Ive never had a bad service experience there.The only recommendation I would make is to suggest their waiting area badly needs new furniture. Current furniture is old, not very clean and not very comfortable.

While the buying experience was terrific, the service experience has been equally horrific. I have been waiting for my car for 15 days now, and when i call they tell me they are busy working on a customer that has been waiting 4 days, if i didnt have an appointment maybe I would understand. The service department has never called me once, and i am generally patient, but now i am just being walked over. If i ever buy a car from here again there will be no point in getting a warranty, cause time is money, and they are costing me money.

2 1/2 hour wait for an express oil change. Couldnt leave my name and come back in 2 hours. Told I had to leave car. I understand dealers get busy but work with customer. Waiting area very subpar and you expect a customer to sit and wait for at least 2 hours? Have some decency. Glad they didnt lie about the wait time but come on!

I took it in because my car was drifting to the left.They said they straightened the steering wheel but I found it was still pulling to the left a little bit. I checked my tire pressures and this is what came up. Verified with a tire pressure gauge. Im not sure if they didnt check the tire pressure more balanced to trick me. I dont think Im even going to go back to have them fix. if they cant even do something that simple.

Bettenhausen Automotive is a fantastic organization. Both from a purchase and sales perspective, and the aftercare service the dealer provides is among the best I have experienced. They make every effort to make sure the client is Satisfied. I had a couple of warranty issues where Chrysler was slow to respond, but the staff of the dealership quickly intervened, and based on the facts, helped to speed resolution. UPDATE: because I like to leave honest an honest review, I had to take away my 5 stars and give them 4. When I purchased my Jeep I wanted a truck with a sunroof (I was adamant about this). I was told that I can bring the truck back and they install the sunroof at my expense for $1000. Well 1 month later and still no sunroof. I called and emailed several times but no response. Whereas before purchasing the vehicle I could get a fast response. Someone (from Bettenhausen) even texted me a week later looking to sale me a vehicle and I expressed to them Ive purchased already just waiting to have the sunroof installed. He stated Charles would be calling me. Still havent heard anything and I hate being lied too.Betthenhausen is by far the best dealership to me. Ive always wanted the Jeep Grand When I went in 6 months ago I couldnt get my Jeep because I was upside down, but they were willing to let me drive off in something. My heart didnt want the something. Long story short 6 months later they were able to put me in that Jeep and I drove off with it. Charles J. Is the truth and he doesnt lie to you. Im really Happy and Bettenhausen is AWESOME!

Amazing customer service. Whether buying or getting a vehicle repaired. The buying process is the way it should be no haggling, the price you see online is the price for the vehicle. No unnecessary add-ons. The service department is amazing, always taking all safety Covid precautions and the vehicle arrives back cleaner than originally dropped off. Every dealer should be as streamlined and professional as Bettenhausen. I hope this family dealership never changes its procedures and policies because this is exactly how buying or servicing a vehicle should be. Real everyday driving vehicles are sold at Bettenhausen.

They were sent my KBB offer for my car and called me telling me that my car was in high demand and they would basically give me whatever I wanted for it as long as it was under its worth ($12,000). I said I was hoping for $10,000 (knowing they would talk me down). The guy literally laughed at me, shook his head with a condescending smile and said no and walked away. He came back with $4000. LAUGHABLE given that its worth $12k and they said theyd beat KBB which was $7k. They said the check engine light was on. It was not. Clearly dont know enough about cars to know that it was the oil change light. Been on for about a week only. Wasted my time and gas. I wouldnt ever deal with them again.

I went to the new car dealership and to my surprise I was told that my appointment was at the Mega store on 159th St. It was a minor inconvenience, however, I was not told that the service was scheduled there. I went to Bettenhausen Megastore and worked with a salesman by the name of Victor Fleifel on Monday March 29. I looked at some of the vehicles that they had for sale. After I was done test driving the vehicles, I sat with Victor at his desk and we had a conversation. I explained to him that unfortunately, I was unable to make a purchase from him at that moment because I needed my wifes agreement on the purchase of the vehicle before I made it. He then spent the next 20 minutes trying to pressure and persuade me to purchase a vehicle from him in spite of me telling him repeatedly that I was unable to do so until I received my wifes agreement on the vehicle purchase. One comment he made was that if my wife got mad at me for making the vehicle purchase without her agreement and then left me for a month, then whats wrong with that? I get the vehicle that I want and a month without my wife. He sees nothing but positives in that situation. He even said that he sends his wife off to the country of Jordan every year, so that he can get a break away from her. Then the next day, he calls and leaves me a voice mail message to follow up with me about when I would be able to bring my wife into the dealership to check out the vehicle that I was interested in. He unfortunately, did not hang up his phone fully because, I then hear him make a comment to someone and I quote, Looking at five different vehicles, what a f**king dreamer. Now he claims that the comment was about a different customer and not me, but if he made that comment to a coworker about this other customer, what comments has he made about me and other customers that hes worked with who dont purchase a vehicle from him before? I really think that you should consider whether you want to do business with this man and dealership who makes disrespectful comments with profanity in them about their customers? I know that Im taking my business to a different dealership because I dont deserve to be treated this way; I hope that you make the same choice. I put this same review on the Cars.Com website and received a comment from the dealership that they were looking into my bad experience with Victor and I havent received any further response from them about the results of their investigation. So, this further shows me how much this dealership values its customers and their experience with their employees; they dont really care is the message that Im being sent, because if they cared, I should have heard back from them about their investigation into my experience with Victor by now. So, more things for everyone to consider if you want to do business with a dealership that treats their customers this way? I certainly dont want to!!

I just found out my 2016 Jeep Patriot had a recall on it, not to surprised because this is why my salesman Casey acted weird and nervous after selling me a Jeep that he knew was not worth the price. I couldn’t even refinance. My note was extremely high. And basically I was ripped off, this is why Casey would try to avoid me every time I came to the dealership. My lesson is Just because your brought a Vehicle from a Major dealership doesn’t mean you’ll get the best quality of a Car. I should’ve went with my first mind and stayed away after being Sold a Dodge Neon that was LEMON. Good Luck People. That One Star is for the friendly employees in the Service Department.

We bought a 2017 Fiat 500L in February 2020. Since then, we have had nothing but trouble. First, a tire blew out while our daughter was driving. Second, we had a problem with the vehicle starting. The dealership put in an entirely new engine. Third, we were on vacation in rural MI when we saw that a tire developed a big bubble. We spent several hours trying to locate a dealership with a tire that would fit. Once we found a tire, we spent a morning getting it fixed. We would never, ever buy another car from any of the Bettenhausen dealerships.

Initially brought vehicle in for Air Bag recall. The tech performing the free recall stripped my steering column bazel screws. Noticed while driving home the cover was flapping and there were no screws reinstalled. Came back to dealer and was told a new cover will be ordered and replaced free of charge as this was internal. When performing another service (drive shaft replacement) they did not replace bazel. Had to come back return to dealership and waited another hour. If that wasnt enough of an inconvenience, I was charged for the bazel and labor to reinstall ($140) when this was damaged doing the recall! I tried contacting my Service advisor and have not received a response as of yet. Keep in mind the cost was already at $1300 for a front shaft replacement with additional diagnostic time from previous visit that was not credited toward repair. I typically dont leave reviews but this experience will prevent me from purchasing and servicing another vehicle at Bettenhausen period.

Bettenhausen Fiat is by no means the closest Fiat service to me. The shimmering Google reviews initially made the 45 minute drive a bit more attractive.Having a 2nd grade education in the internet, I expressed delusions and unfounded logic for the origins of my check engine light being on. Jess, my advisor, was patient with me over the next few days even as I brought up a lesser known Vehicular Chemtrail theory.Thankfully they were able to resolve the CEL issue without having to compromise rational thought. They also put enough miles on the car to make sure it wouldnt pop right back on. (Important with the multi-air engine Ive experienced)Because of Jess and the Tech, Bettenhausen Fiat will be my first destination for service.

On their pre owned website, they show a price of their vehicles. However, there is a button to press that states get our best price which leads one to believe there could be a different price. You put in your information and then they sales call you and tell you that is the best price. I used to buy every used vehicle with them.. sad way to do business now.

From browsing online for a car and to well after the sale was over my dealings with everyone at Bettenhausen was above and beyond! When it came time to be one on one with my salesman Brion Parrish it was like we had been friends for years. I did not feel like I was dealing a stranger. Brion was up front, no BS, and was there for me, not himself or the dealer. I felt that he was honest and down to earth, not your typical used car salesman what so ever. I purchased a used Honda Civic from Tim last week for my 16 year old daughter. The experience I had was unusual, - in a good way that is. Not at all what Ive been used to in the past. Tim was so kind, informative and patient. He was honest, and though we had an anxious 16 year old there who just wanted to get the car and go, he answered our many questions and spent time searching for that perfect car for our daughter. The entire process took less than 2-3 hours. There were not hours of back and forth haggling over the price. We told him what we could spend, and gave him an idea of what we wanted. He searched the lot, called us out, and had cars brought in from other locations. Once we decided on the car, he cleaned it up, PUT GAS IN IT, and showed our 16 year old how to work things. I have been looking at different vehicles to replace my truck for a while and decided to stop by Bettenhausen on a day that was around 20 degrees. I went around the lot looking at the Grand Cherokees and found a couple that I wanted to look at more closely. Dave Carroll right away was very welcoming and went out, warmed them up and pulled them to the front. Instead of acting like so many salesmen, he simply let me take the Jeeps out for a drive and experience them on my own. This may seem small but It made a huge impression on me. I was able to go where I wanted to go and drive the vehicle the way I wanted to and not deal with a pre-set route. Dave was extremely helpful and 100% non pushy. He went over all the various scenarios that I was considering and never once tried to get me to go into something I wasnt comfortable with. After jockeying various vehicles for me, he then spent a good amount of time searching the area for one that fit exactly what I was looking for. He was able to get me a Jeep that I felt most comfortable with and secure it for me - and with no real commitment on my part other than refundable $$ to hold it. The overall experience was the best car buying experience I have had anywhere. I would highly recommend working with Dave to anyone who is looking to purchase a Jeep, or any other brand for that matter. The Grand Cherokee that I got is amazingly nice and I very pleased with the entire experience.

When we first started dealing with Katie we werent even buying a car at Bettenhausen, we were working with another dealership. Katie gave us advice about that deal, without any pressure to come to her instead, that advice turned out to be true. After that deal fell through, partly because of the good advice wed gotten from her, we then called Katie back and started working on a deal with her at Bettenhausen. The deal was basically made over the phone. She was honest, upfront, and very easy to work with. When we got to the dealership to finish the deal everything wed been told over the phone held up. They didnt try to change the deal on us or wrangle us in any way. Again Katie, and her boss, Steve, who did the financing portion of our deal, were wonderful. Upfront, honest, straightforward. The deal went through, including a trade in, without a hitch. We would highly recommend Bettenhausen, and especially Katie and Steve, to anyone looking to buy a new vehicle. They actually made the experience a pleasant one.

Though I recieved decent service, I have to give a Low star review. I traded in my Fiat 500X as it just wasnt the right car for me. While I had the Fiat I purchased an oil change package for multiple oil changes. I called the dealership about the remaining oil changes and was told that because the package was VIN specific, I was out of luck.I paid for nothing as they would not honor the remaining oil changes on the car I now have. Prettybad customer service in my opinion.

Having been involved in many new car purchases and leases over the years, I have to say that Bettenhausen was anything but ordinary when it came to the purchasing process. I was surprised to learn right from the start that the salesmen are not on a commissioned basis and was glad to see that the familiar white collars and blue suede shoes salesmen where nowhere to be found.While walking the floor, we struck up a conversation with Casey Dugan while looking at a Jeep Wrangler. Immediately, it was clear that he had an a real knowledge of the car and insight into what kind of things to consider while making our selection on trim level and options. We also talked about other things like finance, leasing, warranties, and the like and we were very appreciative of his candid comments.When it came time to work out the deal, we readied the cannons for the sales 101 trial closes, let me go check with my manager, and how about this blah-blah back and forth negotiation. As it turned out, I was completely wrong. Aside from us working out the decision between leasing and purchasing, the process was completely stress-free. The best way I could describe it would be to say that Casey acted less like a salesmen and more like an advocate for us to make sure we got the deal we were looking for. We did get an excellent deal on the new car, a fair price for the trade-in, and very acceptable financing terms- no cannon fire necessary.At every step of the process, we were pleasantly surprised with how easy it was- no pressure whatsoever. I would highly recommend speaking with Casey if you are thinking about a Jeep know someone who is.

Truly what a car buying experience should be.Let me start by saying that I always hate going to car dealerships. I hate the I need to go talk to my manager skit which most salesmen do and the constant feeling that Im being lied to and possibly being ripped off. I personally do not have time or the patience for it and I dont trust salesmen.I visited several dealerships all which sell the Jeep brand, Wranglers to be specific so I had a pretty good idea what I wanted. When I went to Bettenhausen the car buying experience was not what I expected. My son and I were greeted by the receptionist and she offered us coffee, tea, hot cocoa, etc. Im serious! She even took the time to make a hot cocoa for my son and made sure the temperature wasnt to hot! I felt like I was at a relatives house.Dave Carroll was my salesman. I previously had spoken to him over the phone and something about the way he spoke to me over the phone didnt make me feel like he was trying to screen my call to see if I was wasting his time. He took the time to explain to me the differences between the Wranglers and answered all my questions. He was very informative and I felt no pressure at all. I wasnt trying to work him but I did want a decent price, a fair price. Dave worked with me past closing for about two hours and I hadnt committed to buying the Jeep, and at no time did I feel any pressure. He was very straight forward and explained to me how the dealer and employees make money and he explained it in a way that didnt make me feel like he was trying to squeeze every dollar out of me.Although I had been given lower prices at other dealerships and price is a big concern for me, I bough the Jeep from Bettenhausen. I committed to buying it because of Dave and how he treated me. I actually felt like I could be friends with Dave outside of work, he just gives off that vibe.The next day I went to get some wheel locks and Dave told me to be there at 3:45 pm and he would get me right in. I was there at 3:45 and they got me right in, no waiting at all, amazing. I went to the waiting room and dozed off thinking Id be there for hours, like other dealerships I have visited in the past. Before I new it the service manager woke me up and told me my car was ready. I looked at my watch thinking Id dozed off for a long time but it was only about 25 minutes. I was impressed. My time is extremely important to me and so far Bettenhausen has respected that.I know Im writing a short novel but its these little things that create a positive and enjoyable buying experience and I highly recommend Dave Carroll and the Bettenhausen Dealership. I will recommend Bettenhausen to anyone I know who is in the market for their services.Dave, thank you for the enjoyable experience and your professionalism!

We are loyal Dodge,Chrysler, and now Jeep customers. My Dodge Avenger broke down in the middle of the school year and I needed a new vehicle fast. We arrived at Bettenhausen around 6:45pm and left that night with a brand new Jeep Cherokee in the price range I wanted. I purchased my Jeep Renegade a couple of years ago at Bettenhausen with Mike Kass - didnt know him until we walked through the door at the dealership. He was AMAZING, helpful, honest, caring and it was the best experience I have ever had purchasing a car. When my 16-year old son was in the market to purchase a car, I kept telling him to go see Mike @ Bettenhausen. But I am his mom - and he is smarter than me ;) so he went to 4 different dealerships...only to end up purchasing his car from the 5th dealership - Mike @ Bettenhausen. We got my jeep right after his accident. Mike remembered all about that and was determined to put him in a good, safe car. He is the best! What an odd experience.We contacted from out of state about a vehicle we were interested. Being out of state, we were nervous about purchasing sight unseen, but the dealership reviews seemed good and vehicle looked nice and exactly what we wanted. We first contacted through cars.com about a vehicle we were interested and received a couple emails from 2 different people. One, we never heard from again after the initial contact, another, after a couple emails back and forth, didnt seem to know anything about the vehicle and only gave us information that was already on the website.Tried contacting again using the chat feature on the actual website. After speaking with one guy, we started to communicate with John Harstick. He was terrible. Simple questions went completely unanswered. Its as if he didnt know how to use email. They said they were unable to call our phones, but we could call them and they could text us. After some back and forth with John, and getting nowhere, we decided to contact through their website again. This was mistake as John was the one to answer again. We ended up speaking with him on the phone, but it was more of the same. Buying from out of state, all we wanted was for him to look over the vehicle and send some pictures of any imperfections he may see. The final call with him, we asked if he could take a look at the vehicle, he said he would and give me a call back. He never called.Finally, we gave them one more chance. We emailed both Gerardo Rangel, the general sales manager, and Brandon McHugh, the assistant GSM about our experience with John and if we could work with someone else. We gave them all our contact info and never heard a thing. Absolutely nothing from anyone! This was basically a guaranteed sale, and we practically told them that, and they had no interest. We were already pre-approved for a loan and going to put a lump sum down, a very easy sale for them.As I said in the beginning, it was just an odd experience. After writing this review, Im not sure why we held on so long.

Made an appointment on a Thursday to drop my car off on Monday to have it serviced Tuesday. I left work early to drop it off before the service department closed, when I got there they had no record of the appointment and didnt even know who I spoke with they only thing the gentleman I spoke with could do was offer to service it Thursday but that was no good because I couldnt leave work early Thursday and needed my vehicle by friday morning. This is a very big mistake to individuals who have to leave work early just to make appointments. Ive never had this happen at the other location down the street.

We had a recall on the truck 1500 - 2010 yr (saying the rear axle was having issues and could go at any time) and a service light on my wifes 2012 Journey at the same time. My wife drives and cannot - not have her car not start (at night) which was happening. We tried to get in and it was 3 days minimum with each occasion. I did not feel comfortable to drive with a chance I had to get towed in with the recall. Contacted South Oak and they helped us out and very friendly. I have bought at least 4 new cars from Bettenhausen only to have them move off of Oak Park Ave to 159th with no service at the FIAT location except oil changes with no notification the service was be relocated fully. I bought from them for the ease of dropping the car off with the train being a walk away. I have to say Bettenhausen was a neighborhood friendly shop, but years ago. Not the same dealer ship where I purchased my first car. I know they have great reviews but I am not one of them. I expected I would have received the same service I was sold. No more Bettenhausen. That being said, good luck.

Clay Orbeck, or however you spell his last name, is one of the least inconsiderate sales person you can meet. I first started working with him over the phone. I let him know that I was commuting and he was a 3-4 hour commute away from me. So we found a Car online and he got me an approval and I told him great now all I need to do is get my license (Im a new driver and Car buyer). Once I got all my documentation together, I called him early that morning and said Clay please double check to make sure everything is OK and that I wont have any surprises he reassured me everything was fine. Then I took a long trip to find out the bank had withdrew the approval and the only thing they could do is give me a call back. Had he been more concerned with making sure I didnt waste 6-8 out of my day going from Lombard to their location and back. I would of be able to find a cosigner or a bigger down payment or another solution to this problem. I would never return here again, and if I do it would be merely to buy a car from one of his peers so he realized he suffered a loss. I hate dealing with guys like him that will say anything to get you in the door even if they have to lie to get you there. To make this guy even less of a man he gave me his personal phone number on the way to get there and after I left and tried to call him to figure out what was going on. he sent a text saying please call the store. So I can call you when you set me up thinking I was getting something I wasnt but now Im not relevant to your commission enough to get to call your personal number?

We were immediately greeted by Jamie Kwak who has become a friend for life with our entire family. She knew everything inside and out about every truck on that lot! Jay was extremely helpful, friendly, and honest when we were searching for our Jeep Patriot. We came in knowing what we wanted and what we were willing to pay and he worked very hard to get our Jeep to the price we wanted. At other dealerships we experienced a lot of hassle and frustration, which led into wasted time, but we did not experience that with Jay. We called and emailed him several times with questions and he was very quick to get back to us. We had such an easy experience buying our Jeep Patriot that we came back to Jay a few months later and bought a Wrangler, my husbands dream car and hes still smiling about it. I went to Bettenhausen Chrysler Jeep with the hopes of leaving with a new vehicle. I test drove a couple different types. The sales staff was patient, there was no rush and no pressure. My biggest concern was fitting two car seats comfortably in my new vehicle. I was able to put my seat in the vehicles I test drove! I decided on a Jeep Renegade. When I was ready to get down to it, Jay was extremely helpful and made sure the process was as transparent as possible! They took me through the vehicle and showed me all the great features and even paired my phone with my new cars bluetooth! I left with a great vehicle at a great price. I brought my dodge caravan here for service and was told the alternator that another place put on was bad.followed their recommendation and had the original place put a new one on.Mind you this is after a week and a half of them having my van.So get my car back from them and it still is doing the same thing. Bring it back to them and another week and half goes by and am told after many drives even long distance they cant replicate the problem.so after 4 weeks my van is still not fixed and the day I picked it up 15 minutes in to the ride home bam the van does exactly what I said it did.Funny I am confident that my van sat on a back lot untouched.And no I did not bring it back why so it can sit for another two weeks for them to do nothing thanks but no thanks will never recommend this place for service.The guy I had many conversations with was very nice Jake is his name but thats it.thats why the one star otherwise if there was a way I would give none.

Amazing service. Go to Gloria Crespo-Torres! I have never reviewed a store, but had to based off the honest, professional, and caring service e at Bettenhausen. Folks were upfront, helpful, and went above and beyond to make me happy. I didnt know dealerships could be like this. Even the porter, Sean, who picked me up at the airport was great. Hr explained that the sales people are salaried so they have little incentive to get you over on the price. I highly recommend this place.
