We ordered a sectional from Basset 3 years ago and had nothing but issues from day 1. The couch was damaged on delivery, after waiting months for it to arrive they convince you to keep it and assure you someone will come out to fix it. What they dont tell you is that the lead time on receiving any parts, fabric, etc that they might need is over 120 days. If you reject the couch at delivery, do not expect an expedited re-delivery, its the same wait time all over again (currently at 18 weeks +). Any time you call in because their cheaply made furniture breaks, do not expect to see any results for 120+ days. They also dont always ship the part to your home, so it gets shipped to the store.. if the store sees an issue with the new part (which happened to us), then you have to wait an additional 120 days! We used to love Basset brand and the majority of our furniture is Basset but I can assure you that the quality from 10 years ago was miles above the junk that they are pushing out of their doors right now. Save yourself the headache, aggravation, and time... buy your furniture from somewhere else!

I received exceptional service from Bassett’s repair department when my sofa cushions on one of my leather sofas were not smooth and there was a defect in the fabric. Bassett notified me of the defect and had the fabric replaced along with ordering new cushion covers for me and did not give me a hard time. They were very accommodating to work with and made it easy for me when there was an issue. I love my sofas and the high quality of Bassett and know that they stand behind their furniture and work with the customer.

Quite expensive but definitely very good quality. Salespeople can be a bit pushy just to make a sale. Cant blame them for trying to make sales and bring in revenue. So far, we are happy with the sectional we purchased from Basset.

Horrible experience with Bassett furniture - we had problems in the store with the salesperson giving us misinformation at several points about measurements, fabric options, etc. Then the delivery was late (no apology given), and the order (a very expensive custom couch) was wrong. Despite weeks of trying to contact customer service to address these issues, nothing has been responded to or resolved. Bassett is a nightmare and I will never shop there again. For the cost they should be ashamed of themselves for providing absolutely zero customer service and downright ignoring customer complaints. Stick with high end companies who actually get their orders correct and seem to care about their customers - restoration hardware, ethan allen, or really anywhere else.

Horrible experience with salesperson Mary Domingue-King! It was my first time shopping at Bassett. I requested to make changes to my order twice within a week, once to change from a sofa to a sectional, and the second to request she remove additions she suggested which were too costly. She was pushy and downright rude and disrespectful, even laughing at me while I explained the reason we wanted to make the second change. I really wanted the furniture but ended up cancelling my order due to her very poor customer service. Avoid this store!!

I was deeply offended and disappointed with the customer service. My parents were shopping for cabinet for their dining room and the sales associate (White male, approx. 50 years of age) insulted their intelligence and tried to belittle their patronage. We will not shop there ever again.

Update: A new customer service rep contacted us to followup. He was genuine and offerred to help rectify the situation. We hope this is an indication of improved customer support.Previous Post: Terrible customer service. We bought a new dining set with fabric end chairs. Within a year the chenile fabric began unraveling and strings were hanging from the sides. We tried tried customer service and eventually even spoke with the store manager. They refused to even send somone to look at them and claimed it was customer abuse. Awful service; we will NEVER buy from them again.
