I got a NEW cylindrical cell battery from Electron Automotive for my 2012 Prius, and I love it! Their customer service was excellent and the battery itself works even better than I imagined.I swapped the batteries myself; it took about an hour to remove the old one and another hour to install the new one the next day.I avoided the core charge by dropping off the old battery at the same time I picked up the new one since I live about 45 minutes from the shop. You should call to ask about this before ordering online because I couldnt add the item to my online cart unless I checked the box for the extra core charge. They ended up taking my order over the phone.My full tank range went from about 375 miles to 560. I can also run the AC full blast while parked for about 6 or 7 minutes before the gas engine kicks on. I can feel the extra power, too.

The people at Electron are very knowledgeable about all things hybrid and electric and are super friendly. You can tell that they really care about you as a customer, and they are honest with you about what your car actually needs instead of just adding on unnecessary repairs. Amazing business with amazing people! My 08 Prius was completely dead and I had to get it towed here. Ive had so many problems with this car and I didnt know where to go. Early next morning they had a detailed list of everything wrong with my car and told me specifically what I needed to get it running again. The prices are affordable and the work experience far exceeds anything youd find anywhere else. If your car (especially a hybrid) needs some work, do not hesitate to come here. They will take care of all your needs. All the people here are very easy to talk to and very knowledgeable about hybrids. The customer service is out of this world! Its amazing here. 10/10 would recommend.

My experience with this shop was really terrible. Their customer service was the worst I have ever experienced with almost any business, much less an automotive repair shop. They tried to nickel and dime me, they were disrespectful, and ultimate left me in a very difficult position without resolving my issues. Do not use this shop unless you really want to be dragged through the ringer.

Prius and Hybrid specialist, and general auto repairs, doesnt mean big $$$ here. Young guys with experience and great customer service.Just got an oil change this time but would come here for major repairs or Hybrid Battery repair/replacement over a dealer.And they only recommend what is needed not what maintenance mileage Guidelines are written on a chart. And every service also gets a link to an online detailed inspection report with photos.

After 6onths of having the new battery in my car, it started to fail. The fault happened in May. I contacted them via their tech service. I got an initial response and then they ignore a me. I emailed the warranty contact. No response. I emailed the main page and got a response to email the warranty email. Its been over a month since this fault occurred and they have yet to help me come to a resolution.

I think they are over priced, but they have a easy to use and navigate website. Google Maps tells me they are over 12 hours away from my house. I dont think I will be making that trip anytime soon. I did notice that most of the chemistry in their batteries was for older vehicles. It is nice to see someone cares enough to support and import the longevity of early EV models. This will improve resale and encourage new sales as well.

I randomly found Electron Automotive online and couldnt be happier! Chris, Jose and Joe are welcoming, professional and know what theyre talking about. The team quickly quoted me, scheduled an appointment and replaced my GPS screen. They even honored the original quote after finding out I needed a different screen than they thought. I am super impressed by their superb service and will be commuting from LA to get my car serviced here moving forward. To all my LA folks, it is well worth the drive!PS- Electron Automotive is taking cautious measures to safely assist their customers during this pandemic. Ive been here a few times and every time I have been here it was always a great experience. I would recommend Electron Automotive because they are Hybrid/Electric specialist and know more than the average dealership service employee. Their prices are fair and they will go into detail on what the issues is with your car or what needs to be done and why. The customer service is great and they are very professional.

These guys really know their stuff. I called to buy a hybrid battery for my wifes prius as the Toyota dealer told me we needed. Joe informed me that it didnt sound like a battery but sounded like a common issue with this year of prius which basically consist of the car running out of gas eventhough there are still three bars showing. Sure enough i put gas in the car like joe suggested and it ran perfectly. I took the car all the way to orange county to get my car fixed by these guys. Also they have two pruises welded together in the back some hybird Frankenstein stuff. Pretty cool stuff

This is hands down the best Auto mechanic that I have ever used. Incredible customer service and attention to details. My prius c would intermittently fail at start up and was becoming extremely unreliable. I had already taken it to 2 different shops to try to remedy the issue but they wouldnt even look into possible issues because it started for them. I brought my car in to Electron and got a detailed car investigation with pictures and descriptions of everything going on with my car. They found the problem and fixed it right away.Also they were extremely respectful. As a small women who had been talked down to at every mechanic I have gone to (even being asked if I knew how to start my car....I wish I was kidding) Every interaction was very understanding, respectful and kind.I absolutely will be returning for any of my car issues going forward.

Great shop, professional, and accommodating.I had a hybrid battery go out on my Honda CRZ and they were quick to fix it with in a day. The battery when out again and they quickly diagnosed/repaired the new problem.Id go here if you want to be respected as a customer.

My daughter has a Gen1 Prius and we bought battery cells and a refurbished busbar from them. The price was reasonable, ordering was easy and with the help of their videos (and a couple others on YouTube), we got it installed in a day and a half. I called them with multiple questions and Joe and Tyler were incredibly helpful and honest. Thanks for saving us about $1,000 in labor costs! I completely recommend them and hope your experience was as good as ours!

Buyer be ware! I had my prius towed to this shop, which is located 15 miles from my home, because they offered to do a free inspection and let me know if the car was worth fixing. They gave me a list of about 3k worth of work that needed done to make it operational and another 2-3k that should be done at a later time. Luckily my battery was still under warranty so I had it replaced and then authorized Chris to do the other $900 worth of work. AFTER I paid for the work to be done, they let me know that because the battery had been dead the recommended repairs were just a list of everything that is typically needed for Prius I was shocked. I went home and dug out all of the receipts for every repair Id had done on the vehicle and found that the water pump they replaced had ALREADY BEEN REPLACED 9 MONTHS EARLIER AND WAS NOT NECESSARY!!!!!!! I then found 2 other items on the recommended list that were also already done. What kind of shop does this?! It would have been different if they had disclosed that information BEFORE doing the repairs. It is really hard to know who you can trust in the automotive business, and sadly, guys like this give the honorable shops a bad name.

Drive way is not easy to spot

I have been going to electron automotive for about 8 years and even drive up from San Diego now! I cannot recommend these guys enough, theyre honest, reliable, and affordable. They make me feel apart of the family whenever I go in and that’s something you will never get at another auto shop!

I have had my Tundra for eight of its eleven year lifespan. Whenever anything major goes wrong with it, I bring it here. I trust the mechanic completely with my truck repairs. He has always given great prices, awesome quality parts, and fast service. He has never tried to con me into something my truck does not need (I have had other shops try this in the past) and is always upfront and honest with me. I highly recommend coming here for a car repair done right!

I have used Electron for years, and I can not recommend them enough. I have found them to be upfront and honest, and to truly care about their clientele. On occasion they have actually taken our vehicles away from us because there was something going wrong that could have truly done damage if it was not fixed right then (It was a pully/belt issue). They are just the best.

This company saved me a bundle of money. I have a prius that needed a hybrid battery. The videos on YouTube convinced me that I could tackle this job myself. I bought the individual batteries and rebuilt the battery myself. It took me about 2 hours total including pulling the battery pack out and putting it back in car. After resetting the codes by disconnecting the car battery the car runs better than ever. Thanks electron automotive!

I don’t normally take the time to write a positive review but my experience with Chris and his team at Electron Motors was so great that I had to share.The best example I can think of when trying to explain what Electron Automotive was for me is - everyone has that best friend out there that they lean on for advice whether it be for relationship, career or personal advice; we all have that trusted friend. Chris is like your best friend when it comes to advice on how to resolve any issue your Prius may encounter. He takes a consultative approach to getting your Prius back to good. He will not try to sell you something your car doesn’t need. He will patiently walk you through the process and give his honest opinion on what he’d do if he was in your situation. You really just don’t find this in the auto repair industry anymore and it was really just an amazing experience working with them. They took what was an extremely stressful and potentially expensive situation and just made everything better with a fair, cost effective solution. If you are looking at a massive quote from the Toyota dealership, I highly recommend talking with Chris first and seeing what he can do. They were able to resolve our hybrid battery issue and dead speedometer screen issue at a FRACTION of what we were quoted at Toyota AND had the car finished the very next day.

Found about these guys from people on Youtube who brought their Prius battery’s from them. I must say these guys are amazing battery came in two business days as promised. Chris I believe he’s the owner super cool dude so as Tyler both super cool. Was having problems after I put my hybrid battery in called them got it fix with no problems. I would recommend them!

These guys are friggin amazing. Very very satisfied with their work. My 2010 Prius IV wasnt starting and had the Check Hybrid System display on. In an industry where honesty and intergrity is hard to come by, Electron exemplifies how a mechanic shop should act. Chris was starightforward with pricing and honest in his diagnostics. What i was quoted was what I paid. He could have easily BSed me on why my engine wasnt starting and tacked on some other fees. Instead, he fixed what needed to be fixed (my hybrid battery) and charged me the $1000 that I was quoted and not a penny more. Most other places I called quoted me at lwast $300 more. They picked up the phone when I called. They even stayed late so I could pick up my car after hours on a Friday when i was stuck in traffic. 10/10 will reccomend. Go here if your Prius dashboard goes dark. Its a combination meter issue and they know exactly how to fix it.
