Went in today with my wife to look at some cars. We found a car we loved and was interested in brokering a deal. After test driving, we informed our sales person that we are interested. At the same time I told him what we were looking to lease at around $300 and with $1500 down. Low yes, but its a starting point. So after this, the sales person took the info to run the numbers with his partner. About 15minutes later, he came back saying he needed to go help another customer, and a new guy came in (assuming a manager). He came in cold and disinterested. He showed us the numbers and just said this is what I got. I simply replied that this isnt going to work. He just got up and said sorry we couldnt work something out and walked away. Spent, maybe, 2 minutes with us. Needless to say it was the most unprofessional experience buying a car. After, we went to the Hyundai dealership down the street and found a car we liked, which was priced a few thousand more ($31k vs $35k). They came back and after about 20 minutes of negotiations with the sales associate and manager, we ended up buying the car for $499 and $3000 down. This was to Buy and not Lease. Needless to say we bought the car. I wouldnt return here nor recommend here. Unprofessional and disrespectful.
Sales people are wonderful. As you might expect, it’s when you get to the finance department that things get frustrating. Be prepared to finance your car with an outside bank, or you will be extorted into purchasing an extended warranty. I was presented with two loan options, one with a competitive rate that the finance person would only “hook me up” with if I purchased an extended warranty for $3700. The other loan was double the interest-rate, and not competitive in the market. This would have been a five-star experience if they had just given me a competitive loan without the extortion.
This just proves again that it s not what you know but who you know. Alvaro Garcia is a top-notch guy that Id feel comfortable recommending to anyone wanting to buy a VW, even my mom if she was still alive. He communicates well. He does what he says hell do. He doesnt try to run any games or use fast talk. He displays rare and commendable integrity in a field that isnt noted for that. His concern for a satisfied customer goes above and beyond, and thats the reason weve recently bought three cars from him. The dealership that hes a part of, from Jimmy to Gabriel to Jason to Brad to Eduardo to the lovely little man who keeps the place clean, is just a great place to do business. I am happy to send anyone your direction if they want to buy a terrific car or need service.

The guy at the parts desk was really nice! Had issues with my locking lug bolts so got me new regular ones and they installed them there for free. Saved me a headache for future repairs. Service desk was okay service but was glad they got it done there and then.
The absolute most awful car buying experience of my life occurred at this location. I honestly dont even feel like I was treated like a decent human being by the staff here and the fact that I was a woman gave me them permission to comment on my attitude. News flash, women are allowed to be opinionated and advocate for themselves. The saddest part, the manager and general manager will do absolutely nothing to try and correct their own finance departments errors. Please steer away. I know one persons bad experience must only be taken with a grain of salt, but I spent many nights awake and crying over the burden placed on my family due to the actions of Ontario VW and their deceptive practices.

Ive taken my 2016 GTI here for regular oil change services for almost as long as Ive had it. The associates at the service desk were always nice and welcoming. My services were typically completed in a timely fashion. There was one time they kept my car for longer than expected to fix a recall issue which ended with them shorting my ESC chip and having to replace it, which I was cool with because they were nice about everything and fixed their mistake.This review, however, is for a more recent oil change service. A day or two after the service my check engine light came on and after having a friend (who is a mechanic) take a quick look under the hood we found that the cap for the oil reservoir was not closed. After tightening the cap, wiping around it, and making sure everything else was correctly placed I contacted VW Service to let them know the check engine light was on as a possible result of the oil service not being completed properly. The guy on the phone was a bit rude about it but we scheduled an appointment for later in the week. Next day, the light was no longer on. Most likely due to the oil cap being set properly by a thorough mechanic. A couple days passed and still no light so I cancelled the appointment.Another day passed and I received an email asking me to complete a survey so I did. I gave three stars and left it at that. I then received a condescending email from the service manager implying that the issue was not due to his mechanics incompetence but because I did not complete the additional services they quoted me for after my visit was done. These services were completed elsewhere within the past year and did not need to be urgently done.Safe to say I will never be going to this VW or any other ever again. I will not be recommending to family or friends. I enjoy my GTI but one bad experience really can change things.
You need an appointment for servicing but its quick and easy. Erica my service advisor was very nice and explained everything to me. I would not hesitate to return for my next appointment.

I purchased a 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan SE RLine today from Ontario Volkswagen. The purchasing process was an absolute nightmare and the customer service I received was far from great. I went to the dealership knowing what I wanted and had a loan approval from my credit union. Alvaro Garcia started the sale process, as soon as I told him that I would be using my credit union to finance the car, is when the horrible customer service started. I was forced to have them run my credit even though I was not going to be financing through Volkswagen, as I had already been approved for a loan through my credit union. I was being pressured to use their financing even though I repeatedly informed them that I would be using my credit union loan. After declining their proposals several times, they finally accepted my request to let me use my approved loan. That’s where the customer service got even worse. I had to deal with the finance manager, Eduardo Zermeno. Eduardo approached me after using Fasttrack/CUDDLE to retrieve my approved loan, stating that I had not been approved for the rate that I had mentioned. I called my credit union and they informed me that I had indeed been approved for the rate that I had given them and that Eduardo had processed the information with an incorrect social security number. Eduardo gave me the run around for several hours. It was about 15 mins before they closed when he came to me and stated that I was correct and my loan was approved at the rate I had mentioned. The sale should have been finalized and I should have been able to leave with the car I purchased that evening, but Eduardo said he needed a check from my credit union which by that time, the branch had already closed. So I was inconvenienced to have to take the day off of work today, to go to my credit union to get a cashiers check then go back to Ontario Volkswagen this morning to finish the process. I arrived to the dealership with the cashiers check in my hand thinking it would be an easy process but, I was wrong. I sat in the lobby for over 2 hours for Eduardo to help me. He was very rude and stand-offish when it came time to sign my documents. At the end of this horrendous experience, I left the dealership feeling like I was treated as if I had stolen a car from then rather then buying it. In my opinion they should be appreciative that I even went through with the purchase after the awful service that I received from everyone I dealt with. If I have the option to service the car I purchased at another Volkswagen dealership I will definitely go elsewhere for service or any future needs and NEVER return to Ontario Volkswagen again. I will also be contacting corporate about my experience.
Came in on a Sunday morning to buy a used Jetta. When I arrived at the dealership, they had the car ready to be checked out and tested. Luigi and Donald made the car-buying process easy and straightforward. They have great customer service and both were ready to answer any questions I had. Will definitely recommend them to friends and family.
Wow! The people at this location are extremely friendly and welcoming. The lounge has free WiFi and phone chargers, complimentary coffee and water and a few light snacks. I just got a 2018 VW Tiguan Alonso helped us out. He was so nice and straight foward didnt haggle us or waste our time he gave us a great deal. I also appreciated that he went into full detail on how to use the cars gadgets and set up Bluetooth so the car can connect to my phone. Thanks Alonso!!!
For sure the best place to get a car. Back in 2019 we bought a brand new Tiguan and last week I went in looking for a used car but Liliana was able to get me approved for a 0 miles 2021 Jetta. I would recommend you to ask for her if you want great customer service and attention. She is very friendly and cool to do business with. Great experience overall since we started taking our 2014 GLI for service every few months in 2018. Also Eddie is great at explaining all the different services that VW has to offer and made all the paperwork process very easy and fast. My wife is very happy with this purchase. I always take my GTI to authorized VW service places. Everyone usually comments that theyre overpriced but the consistent, excellent service is worth it to me. Car stuff is stressful & everything about these places is not. It was my first time at this particular location, I stayed for about an hour for an oil change & checkup. The building had every covid precaution in place, everyone was wearing masks and/or behind barriers. Jim was the advisor helping me, he was really kind & informative. I will definitely come back.

I had a great experience here at Ontario Volkswagen! After visiting about 10 dealerships and shopping out a variety of brands after completing my car lease, I Ianded on Ontario VW. I dealt with Alvaro the whole time from test drive to doing the numbers, the guy was a straight shooter from start to finish. He was very honest, direct, to the point and sells you only what you actually need. I even shopped him out with different VW dealerships in the area, and they in all honesty couldnt beat what he offered. In the end, I got a 2020 VW Tiguan SEL on a huge price drop and great leasing terms that worked for me. I really appreciated very much the service and hard work from Alvaro and the team, even the closer (who are usually the annoying part in the end) was awesome (his name is Eduardo, if you have a choice on who to close with!). The whole team was fantastic and I will definitely be going back at the end of the lease to work with them again!

Bought a Jetta 2017 here,and after 3 years it feels like a lemon.Car wouldn’t start and the brake pedal stiffens up for no reason.Personally I think VW should discontinue the Jetta.What a piece of junk!

All of the positive reviews must reflect the sales department because the service department does not reflect a positive experience. Initially went to Volkswagen Ontario to replace a tire per finding a nail in tire. I called and made an appt which I was told would take approximately 2hrs. Once I arrive, the service rep immediately tries to upsale me on 4 tires, as they are having a sale. I buy in but instead accept 2 new tires, balance and alignment. After choosing the tires and 2 hrs waiting with my 20mo daughter, the sales rep tells me the tires wont be in stock until the next day. He offers me a rental for the inconvenience. The next day I receive a call around 5pm from the service rep stating that the alignment is now 3 TIMES MORE than the initial quote that I signed. I show up the morning to infer about the charge and he says he entered it wrong and that my car needed a special alignment that takes 6hrs to complete. I dont trust anything Volkswagen Ontario Service center says anymore. After 4 days with a rental for 2 tires, balance and alignment I will NEVER bring my car back to this location to be serviced. Also, when you call, all of your information populates onto their computer. Your name, vehicle model, year all populates onto their computer, so they should be able to see how much the service is and how long it takes.
After 5 hours waiting for an oil change I take my car home and pop the hood to find my car still has dirty oil in it. I turn the car back on and it still has the change oil now warning on the dash. Not to mention the horrible customer service during the 5 hour wait and on the phone for getting my money back! Never will I ever be going here again

I always had good experience with VW in LA. BUt the one in Ontario, not that good. My wife was in to check and certify the vehicle. to check is $165 and to certify $520, although the car was always kept by VW !!!! two charges for one job... anyway, they kept looking at things till they found two: cabin filter and oil brake flushing. $44 for the first and $190 for the second. Cabin filter cost $8, so i offered replacing it, the tech goes then we have to charge you$165 to check again... really? are you kidding? it is a cabin filter, not engine filter!!!! border line theft,...

We had an awesome experience at Colts wagon of Ontario. When all was said and done we walked away with 2 new cars. We were shown fantastic hospitality by our sales Representative Dennard who was extremely helpful and kind to us and made our experience pleasant. Dennard was able to answer all our questions and was very knowledgeable about the vehicles we purchased. If you are interested in purchasing a car from this dealership I highly recommend asking for Dennard. So much better. I have been to several VW dealerships for my vehicle and this service department is the best that can be. Phil helped me with my electrical problem changed the bulbs and fuse all I paid was the &25 for the parts. While others would charge upfront for diagnostics and then change the bulb. They have earned my business for life and I recommend everyone to try them out.

My son brought his VW golf to get diagnostics. They changed the prices of diagnostics three times. At first they told him $340, then called and said $370. By the time he picked it up it amounted to $469! Also the rate to fix the car also kept changing. First they us it’s $1470, then its changed to $1670, then after that last diagnostics they said $3300! I know VW parts and labor is expensive but there’s something wrong here. It seemed like they are trying to take advantage a young adult who know don’t know much about cars. I reached out to service manager. He took time to give me a call but very protective and cant even tell me how the all phone conversations between service guy and my son went. It seems like hes too busy to do it. I know people are happy with the dealership but I am not.

This review is on the service and parts department. Although I did buy a 2014 Passat TDI from here in 2014 and had a great experience, salesmen are salesmen anywhere you go and Im not a fan of their gig especially when I already know what I want and have researched every detail beforehand.Before I get started, service departments at dealers are service departments at dealers, which means, yes, its expensive. It is what it is. Thats life. With that said...My experience at Ontario VW has been excellent. I have been coming here for various needs since 2014. I have dealt with all of the service guys on staff but have exclusively been going to Jimmy for the last 2-3 years. Jimmy is fantastic! He is very knowledgeable and also a fellow VW enthusiast himself which makes me enjoy working with him even more.I recently had some sort of timing failure on my TDI, which I thought would be covered under warranty since I have a Certified Pre-Owned (CPO). He was well aware of the warranty but also warned me that if they start taking the engine apart and find bent valves, which arent covered by the warranty, the warranty wouldnt cover it and I would be stuck with the labor bill, which could put it at around $3,000. I gave the green light to proceed with the tear down because I sincerely thought it would be covered. He kept me updated through the process. Come to find as they took the valve cover off that the rockers were broken which leads them to assume that the valves are bent, which in turn isnt covered. Rather than continuing to tear down the whole block and charge me $3,000, Jimmy called me to update me on their findings and assumptions and asked me if Id like to continue or stop there because at this point, the labor bill was at $1,800. I, of course, said to stop and picked it up the following day to bring it home.Yes, an expensive labor bill but I already knew that coming into it because its the service department at the dealer. Did the bill hurt? Of course it did but it is what it is!Point is, although expensive, Jimmy was upfront and honest with me through the entire process. He went above and beyond in his communication with me and also made sure I was aware of the costs if it wasnt covered under warranty.I ended up doing a motor swap myself at home to save LOTS of money and get the car back to running. The car is back up and running. Even with my last experience, I am still back at the dealer for other things I need fixed.Im a pretty handy and knowledgeable guy when it comes to my car. Am I at VW tech knowledge? Not even close. I can fix most things on my car myself but when I cant figure something out I bring it here. Do I know the dealer charges a lot for service? Yes. Knowing its expensive, these guys know what theyre doing and stand by their work. Its expensive for a reason because they do great work!I trust Jimmy and the tech team with my car.Have I mentioned that service at the dealer is expensive? 🙂

Great 2nd Experience here. The first time I came in. I needed a headlight fixed, Jay, the associate helped right away and he fixed my light on the spot. I just had to pay the headlight bulb and it was good as new.

I had a fraudulent charge posted to my credit card that originated at this location. Fortunately, my financial institution was able to take care of this for me. When I called the location to verify their procedures for accepting payment by card, the representative told me that she would check ID, but she could not comment as to the policy for the location as a whole. Consumers should be aware that Ontario Volkswagen does not have a procedure in place for protecting consumers from fraudulent charges. Checking ID is a simple way to prevent fraudulent transactions in an age where skimmers can easily duplicate credit cards.

Had my car serviced here a year ago because my car was leaking coolant. They replaced a cracked thermostat housing and hoses. Come to find a year later the same thing is broke again and they basically told me they aren’t responsible for it. Not to mention upon being inspected I have screws missing and the parts that were taken out weren’t put back properly. Took almost a month to get it back. $900 job and nothing to show for it. Thanks guys!
