This is the second GMC Canyon Ive owned and it has had a whining noise since I purchased it. The service dept. at Nye verified the noise but was unable to determine what was causing it . They contacted GMC and were told to replace two parts on the transmission which they did. The noise persisted. The took some computer data from the truck and sent it to GMC. GMC engineers responded by having Nye replace the transmission. The noise persisted. They ran some tests on the transmission and determined that everything performed normally as per specifications. They said we believe it normal operation within the transmission gears and or bearings. Ive rated the service poor because they basically gave up trying to fix the problem and fell back on the old its within specifications line. I took it to another GMC dealer and the first thing the service manager said after reading the work orders was have they started the buy back procedure yet? Nye didnt even mentioned buying back the truck. Further, I cant believe GMC would sell a truck that made this kind of noise. I now drive a truck that makes a whining noise between 35 and 40 mph and at times when the transmission is in park. Further, I have a brand new truck with a value that is much less than it should be because the problem, which quality control at GMC should have recognized at the plant, was not corrected by Nye GMC. When you buy a new vehicle you expect it to be perfect. This truck did not meet that standard when it left the plant and still doesnt after several visits to NYE GMC. So why would I say anything good about GMC or NYE GMC?

Made an 11:30 appointment for brakes, was given a time estimate of 4pm to pick it up. I finally get a call at 5:30 that my car is ready, however at that point I don’t have transportation as I was expecting it to be remotely close to 4. I called back at 6:15 to see if I can pay over the phone and have the keys left, only to find out they close at 6 so I won’t have a vehicle for work tomorrow. Would’ve been nice to know in advance that this type of service would take this long here and that I would be given such short notice to pick up, so I could’ve arranged for transportation to work.

When I took my vehicle in for an oil change on 4/14/21 I was advised there was oil all over the underneath of the engine compartment. At this time they injected a dye and advised me to come back. On 4/27/21 I took the vehicle back and was advised there were no leaks. Then on 6/11/21 I took my car in for a NY state inspection and asked them to check my oil. I was advised there was no oil on the dipstick and upon further inspection they found a leak around the oil drain pan. I was advised at this time they would replace my gasket around the drain pan and to bring the vehicle back in. I brought the vehicle back on 6/25/21, left the vehicle expecting them to take care of the issue. However I felt the gasket would take care of one issue, not the main issue as to why the vehicle was burning so much oil. Much to my surprise I received a call later that day stating they were not going to replace the gasket as the usage was within GMs Specs. I found this unacceptable and voiced my concerns. My vehicle is only 2 years old with 40K miles and should not be using/burning oil. This is not the first issue Ive had with my Buick and am very disappointed with the quality of my vehicle. I will never buy another GM product due to the issues Ive had to date. I would really like to speak with someone at GM to voice my concerns if someone is willing to assist me in making the necessary repairs to my vehicle.

I had a great experience at NYE Buick. I worked with Bill to purchase a new car. He was very friendly and nice. His only focus was making sure I got what I was looking for. Not once was he pushy. I had an appt with him at 1130am and walked out with a new car in a few hours. Bill even took the time to show me key features in my car before I left to help navigate through everything. I was surprised that my regal was driven by the tech to his station replaced the necessary part then drove my car out to the parking lot in 40 minutes. I saw a sign in the waiting area that stated the hourly rate as being $105 per hour, however my receipt says $109 per hour, but what I dont understand is that the labor charge on my statement says that i was charged $288.90 for labor, now i know that that equates to 2 and 1/2 times longer than was spent working on my car. Please explain !

I brought in my vehicle with 2 problems. One the source of the issue could not be found and I was told that I would have to live with it until it gets worse (clunk noise coming from suspension when driving). The other issue was the rear windshield motor not working. There were issues working with the warranty company on replacement cost which I understand. Once approved it took a full day to do the replacement which the tech then broke. Another one was overnighter and took another full day to install. All told took about 3 days to replace a windshield wiper motor, and agree that there is a noise while driving that cant be found. Id guess that the book for windshield wiper motor would be in hours. Our appointment started at 7am and it was midday before it was pulled into the shop.I was considering purchasing environmental protection and an extended warranty for my other vehicle through Nye because of my experience discussing things with sales, but this definitely changed my mind.

The GMC Service Department is always great.I called a few weeks ago for an appointment, I talked to Dan on the phone and he got me scheduled right away.Went in for my service, Bruce helped me out and he was great. I was there a little longer than expected but I know they are short staffed right now so I understand.The complimentary coffee is always nice while waiting.Would recommend everyone to go there if I could.Joe
