This place is great. Its locally owned by a veteran. Friendly professional service! My computer monitor broke and I needed something quickly and didnt really have time to shop around for what I want. They recommended a used monitor. It looks and works like new and I got it at a fantastic price. I highly recommend 4th dimension computers.
Great little shop! Great prices and friendly staff. Im an experienced system builder and needed a couple parts that I found quickly and were well priced. Definitely a great alternative to online shopping and brings back very fond memories of visiting my local computer shop!
My 1st time to 4th Dimension Computers at their new location on Pacific Ave & Fones Rd in the Olympia Square Location.Ive bought many parts & computers from them over the last 16 +years but my last visit I must say they went above & beyond to get one of my computers back online .Jeff their star Tech offered a quick easy fix but also recommended an inexpensive upgrade that did wonders for the operation & speed of that computer.They are always busey & have a waiting list but managed to get this handle in short order .Thanks

I went there today to buy a SATA device to transfer my documents off a dead computer hard drive. I got home and was really confused on how to locate those documents. I called them and they were kind enough to walk me through it over the phone. I will definitely be recommending this company to other people. Thank you for all the help!!
Great place work extremely knowledgeable staff!! Ive taken my computers to these guys for years!! Always good service with really good prices. They charged me less than 1/2 what Best Buy was going to charge me and I get better service as well!! I will continue to go to them, and I will always recommend them to all my family and friends!!
Technician Russel is probably THE most knowledgeable and reliable computer/Network specialist that I have ever seen.Go look for him if you have any problems with your computer/network, he will get it fixed.We recently upgraded our network system for our business and the recommendation they gave was spot on and it works like a charm. I would not recommend. I am very upset that it cost us nearly $300 to hv their tech come out and now we are having to pay someone else to fix all the problems associated with their just transferring the data from one computer to another. What should have been straight forward and pretty simple has resulted in a loss of programs and more importantly our beloved photos which the new tech cannot find.
Usually I love this shop but my last visit I was greeted by an employee that recited a list of reasons why none of the hardware could be affordable and how they have no selection to choose from. I walked in then right back out.

I was not happy with my service! 5 days after I dropped my laptop off, I get a call saying they found the serial number on the part and asked if I wanted to order it, I said yes. I got a call 2 days later saying they ordered the part. Why did it take 2 days to order a battery? Then I got a call every single day, from the same person, around the same time at night, telling me the same thing, its not here yet. Then Monday, a week after they told me they had the serial number of the battery, I get a call saying the reason it hasnt arrived is that I need to pay for the part first. At NO TIME was I told I had to pay for it before they could receive it, which means I would have gotten the battery sooner!I made the payment online, then later that day received ANOTHER call, quoting a different price, so I called and talked to the sales department, found out I apparently should have known to pay for the part first, and confirmed the price I was originally told, then I found out my computer was already ready for pick up, and I said I would have to wait two days to pick it up, he said thats fine. Then I received a third call the same day asking me to verify I paid, because it wasnt written down. I read the email I was sent confirming payment, which I found bizarre, then was told by the same guy that usually calls me hell call me back so he could talk to a supervisor. Roughly an hour later I finally got a call back from the guy, and he said everything is fine now, and I could pick it up today. Apparently the sales guy didnt tell him I was picking up at a later date.If I had just talked to someone from sales to begin with, or just someone other than this one guy, I would have known about the upfront payment, would likely have received my computer sooner, and wouldnt have had to received constant phone calls.All in all, I will not be recommending this place, it was certainly not worth the 30+ minute drive for me.

For sales only, not sure about repairing. Good customer service but prices are higher than purchasing from Best Buy or Amazon. The part I was needing was being sold by them for about $160 more than offered anywhere else. Selection is also limited and GPUs are definitely overpriced. If youre shopping on a budget and dont mind ordering items off of Amazon or going to best buy then Id recommend shopping around before going here first.
I really appreciate Emily taking care of me, especially with my amateur questions about computers. I was tired, my laptop had just died, and she listened to what I needed and suggested a quality computer within my budget that is running like a dream. Id definitely go back again!

Over the years I have purchased several computers and components from 4th Dimension. They built my last two computers and upgraded my last computer and migrated data for me. The new computer that I just had them build is a fine high speed machine. They migrated all of my data flawlessly. Their service and sales people are all top notch, courteous and helpful. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a computer designed to fit their individual requirements.
Scalper prices, rude staff, a 3090 for $2,500? Absolutely a rip-off not worth it. Dont buy from here, you can save so much money by going to other places and ordering online from places like amazon, pcpartpicker and newegg. Much more reliable and better priced for the exact same equipment.

Computer problems are a worst-case scenario. 4th Dimension Computers takes most of the trauma out of these problems. We paid a little more for our computer (than we would have at the big box store) but the service staff (i.e., Jeff) did an excellent job rearranging the drives and setting up the new system. Well worth the extra money. Thanks.

Excellent service, the young gentleman working there seemed eager to be helpful even with obscure request. I know that in this day online stores dominate most markets but if you are in a pinch or looking to keep your money local then this place offers fair prices and is competent in their field of expertise.

Stopped in the store yesterday in need of a power cord for a laptop allowing me to work-from-home. Plus, my home PC currently has Windows 7, and yes, I am getting daily reminders that this application is no longer supported. Ive been here twice with laptop issues. Both times they were able to investigate the problem, and fix it, right there on the spot! No waiting. Fast service, friendly, and very reasonable costs. I would highly recommend them, and will definitely go back the next time I need help.

Ordered a custom computer for my mother in law which they took twice as much time as was promised with no communication from them as to why it was taking so long. In their shop it wouldnt even start up stably but figured after a couple updates all would be fine. Boy was I wrong. After two weeks it completely crashed needing a new motherboard and both hard drives. Then it wouldnt load again... Was told that the tech left a program in it to cause the computer to lock up for a test. She would not tell us how to remove it. To which we had to run it up there again with the parting shot being well dont worry I wont charge you for the service. Then the latest is it has eaten all the drivers. To which my mother in law wanted her money back and was told we will only give you $500,or we will fix it again. All she does on the computer is Netflix and some banking nothing major, but for a gaming PC this is beyond ridiculous .

I have been coming to 4th Dimension ever since they left Downtown, almost 5 years (?) and have never come to regret it. Friends from Northern California with small businesses have moved up and I have recommended 4th Dimension to them with never a negative feedback. They are fair with their prices and always inform one ahead of time. They back up their refurbished items and I would almost rather have that than a new one as I know they would always back their product up. I wholeheartedly recommend them.
They dont make cables. Was told it wasnt worth their time. They had one customer. They seem focused on upselling and not so much on what a customer actually wants when they walk in the door. Disappointing.

I love coming here whenever I have computer issues. Today’s late seat issues was my girlfriends laptop not booting up and glitching weirdly. Turned out to be a hard drive failure and my assistant who helped me and I’m sure worked on my laptop was named Adrienne. I went in looking for a pretty specific part, doubting that they would have it. Not only did they have it in stock, the price was great! Im glad I didnt have to buy it online and wait for shipping. I had a laptop to be repaired and the tech indicated that they learned repair on there own. I could have done more on my own and kept the 260 bucks they charged me to do nothing more than take it apart and put it back together. Their search for repair parts were lacking. I wouldnt take anything to them for repair.
Good service, however they seem to be understaffed and the store does not look very clean. Also, they do not fix phones.
Took my computer in because it stopped working and would turn back on. Mind you, I came in like, 10 minutes before they closed, and they diagnosed by problem (my power supply failed). Didnt charge me. Thanks guys!

Went in with my family to view the selection of comps and parts. I was planning on spending some cash (1500) when I noticed no one would acknowledge me, not even a glance. The bigger lady at the front was taking forever to help a customer. As I stand behind him, he actually acknowledged me but the employee just continued to ignore my presence. As I decided to leave I said Great customer service (Sarcasm). The lady in the front said Sorry we are understaffed (or something of that nature). How do you Justify not acknowledging customers? You have a voice right? All I have to say is I did not appreciate her Elitist attitude. If I was the Owner, I would be very angry on my loss of hard earned cash. People with bad attitudes will definitely bring your business down. You guys seem better than that. Moral of the story....Get better enthusiastic employees...as you know there are many people looking for employment and will put out twice as much effort. Thank you.
I went in twice for help when installing parts on my computer that I had purchased online, the first time to buy some accessories I had forgotten and the second for technical advice. Both times the service was excellent; the staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Their service tech spent 20 minutes giving me advice on how to solve my problems and didnt charge me anything! This is by far my favorite computer store in the area.

I am very disappointed. I bought my old laptop in to have the hard drive cloned over to a solid state drive which I supplied. I had just reinstalled Windows 7 to the old drive and then I ran into problems doing the clone and thought I should have a professional make sure it was done right. The price seemed reasonable, $50.00. When it was done, they called and said it was ready to pick up but for some unknown reason Windows Update was not working. Not to worry, they could fix it! Normally it would be $80.00 but for me, just this time, they could do it for only $40.00. I asked what could cause Windows Update to not work and was told it could be any number of hundreds of things but it was probably something very simple and it could be fixed.... for a price. I was skeptical to say the least. If you have no idea what the problem is, how can you tell me you can fix it for a set price. Could it be you know exactly what the problem is, that it is very simple, actually non-existent, and youre just trying to milk me out of another $40.00? Sure enough, when I got home, Windows Update seemed stuck on 0%, 0 out of over 200 updates downloaded. Naturally I Googled Windows Update wont download. One of the first suggestions was simply to reboot, and another common remedy was that when Windows Update has a large number of updates to download, it will show 0%, even though it is downloading updates. Voila!! I rebooted and this time Windows Update showed only 150 updates to download. It was downloading them after all. These guys work on these computers all the time and if I can figure it out, they surely know whats going on. I was looking for a computer shop I could trust but I guess Ill have to keep looking. Oh, yeah, and when I arrived to pick it up my brand new high capacity lithium ion battery was completely drained.

Turned out to be a high level issue in the game itself that even the Devs had not found. It was amazingly quick and clean the way Graham diagnosed and provided me a safe permanent work around along with a solution for the game Devs. So professional!! If you truly value your time and resources, it pays to call 4th Dimension Computers.

I was there on Friday Oct 11 in the evening. An elderly man was asking questions and, like me, didn’t know tech terminology. His question was awkward and the black-haired, female salesperson was so rude to him. Very abrupt and condescending. I walked out. Folks, there are other small computer sales and repair shops in the area, so take your business there instead.
Went all around town looking for a used iPad at a good price with no luck. Someone mentioned 4th dimension, gave them a call and they had two worth getting at very good price.
Im so confused by the poor reviews of this place. Everyone there is super helpful, unpretentious, and competent. Where else are you going to buy a computer?? Best Buy? lol Thankfully these guys still provide excellent service even though they have a monopoly on the Thurston county market! Helped me build a bad ass computer and taught me a few things along the way.

Has been a year since I bought the parts of my computer I built. No problems whatsoever. Was in there today for a meeting and to browse around and was told my car tire was flat. These guys took it upon themselves to service more than just outstanding computer parts. Buddy sought out an air compressor one of the service men may have in the back of their car. It was small, but they took the time to compress the air, take it outside, and fill up the tire, several times.Im also a bit of a stickler when it comes to electronic equipment. I bought a monitor from them and it had literally 1px that was blown on the monitor. Sure enough they had me bring it in and swap it out the next day when I let them know.Have known these guys for years. Never let me down.

Will not provide a list of programs used to fix and diagnose computers. Most likely because the programs are offered for free online. Asked 3 times for an itemized list of programs used and was denied. They told they use their own personally developed programs but would not share what they were or did.
Have purchased a couple of items from here so far and the experiences have been good. I recently brought in my desktop and received great service from an informative technician, coupled with a turnaround time of less than a week for the repair. I will be back.

Have shopped with 4th Dimension for over 20 years. After my last 2 trips to attempt a purchase of a complete computer system piece by piece, I will not return. I understand a local business cant compete with the prices online but they wouldnt budge on pricing for green pcb generic RAM, when they were asking twice what I could go buy it at Best Buy for Corsair RAM

Thought my laptop had malware as moving from screen to screen would often time out it was so slow. Took it in and was told yes it had malware and should be fixed in three business days. The following week was told something was removed when cleaning it that broke something else and updates needed to be reloaded. I came and got it, paid almost $200 and when I got it home discovered it was not any faster and that some programs had been removed like Office and my Solitaire games. I didnt want to go near that place again so will most likely just go out and buy a new one. Draw your own conclusions.
Replaced ram in two laptops within half an hour with no appointment. Friendly, helpful, staff. Definitely recommend for your PC needs.
They tested my computers video card and found out that one of the ports was still working so I didnt need a whole new video card, just an adapter!

Great service with very friendly and patient staff. I went in to troubleshoot what was possibly a dead power supply, but turned out to be a completely shot mobo and cpu as well. The gentleman at the counter tested the power supply and explained options in a no pressure way. Will definitely go back for any further repairs.

This place is great! Everyone is helpful and friendly. I bought a modem and when I realized that it was not what I needed the returned it promptly without problem. They fixed my cracked screen. I had purchased my own screen and they simply charged me labor. (I know best buy wont let you do that) Price was reasonable, work was quick and Im fully satisfied. I took my Imac in for a cleaning because Im always using shady websites to stream movies. They said that it was the worst infection they have ever seen on a mac and still only charged me the base cleaning price. They also removed Windows that I had on there and didnt want anymore and installed antivirus software for me at no additional charge. I will be going back to them for all of my computer problems.
