Its pricey, but worth it. This place has jewlery Ive never even thought of before. Wide variety, very nice staff, and the gimmickyness is very low. I bought hanging Carebear earrings here, which I didnt even know were a thing you could buy. If you want to pick up anything alt fashion leaning towards the punker side, this is your place. The counter staff are always polite, friendly, and understanding. Very patient when you fumble through forgetting your phone number and spelling your email. Havent met a single rude employee yet. Great store, a model example of what a Hot Topic should be.

My 14 year old granddaughter loves this store. She likes trendy teen clothes and finds them here. I like the prices and the coupons you recieve with purchases for the next visit. Helpful staff.

Very helpful staff. I use a wheelchair and had no trouble navigating the store. Staff also offered to move or reach anything if needed.

We went into the Olympia store in the mall yesterday. This is the closest Hot Topic for us & we live out of town. Our cashier charged us for the same t-shirt twice. I didn’t notice until I got home & looked at the receipt. I’ve been trying to call the Olympia store all morning. They won’t pick up the phone. So I called the 800 customer service number & sat on hold for 45 minutes. Apparently that number is only for online purchases & now my only option is to drive all the way back to the store to get refunded for a whopping $22. It’s not the money it’s the principle. It would be nice if someone could just answer the phone. Definitely double check your receipt before you leave this place. This is not what I wanted to do with my last day off this week. This review was completely avoidable if someone would have just picked up the phone in Olympia. I’ve called 9 times. Bummer.

Best place for me to get a shirt for a heavy metal band that I dont even listen to. Gotta stay edgy

It was my first time coming to Hot Topic and I had a great experience. They carry lots of 18 gauge nose studs, which I was surprised because I expected Claires to carry more 18 gauge nose studs than Hot Topic. I really liked there selection of nose studs, and I will be coming here more often. :)

This place always gets Funkos. If there is a restock. They will have them.. Employees are nice and helpful, Which is always nice.

Wont be going there again. They advertised buy 1 shirt get 2 free. So we spent over an hour looking thru shirts found three we liked. Went to pay. And the price was 25 dollars. Checked the screen and they took 30percent off each shirt price. Thats not the deal I said. Well thats the price. I paid because my daughters 18th bday then I go to wrap the shirts and one of them has a hole because they messed up putting the tag on. Im beyond mad. I can buy all their products online from someone else.

Friendly staff nobody asked if I needed help though. Across hot topic pants sizes range widely from brand to type of pants. Some styles in can fit a 17 others I cant fit bigger ones. So frustrating

Okay Im an old guy. Looking for a specific shirt for grandson. This is an eclectic collection that is hard to search. Unless you are fairly familiar with the subject it is hard to search. Current restrictions made getting help from staff difficult. The store was neat and clean.

As an emo who listens to mcr and pierce the veil 24/7 I feel obligated to give it 5 stars. They also got fun piercings lol, I got cool zipper ones

Its pretty small and close quarters. I like a lot of their stuff but prices are high and I just wanted to get out. Social distancing was in place but since the store is so small its hard to actually distance.

I’ve been shopping from Hot Topic for over 10 years. In Illinois, online, and now at the Capital Mall location in Olympia, WA. I have always been satisfied by the products, and the people working in the stores. That is until this past Saturday. It seemed to be management in there operating it. They were dismissive, you could tell they don’t shop in their own store. They rang up items that ended up being broken. I had my 13 year old daughter there, and I will now be trying to take her in LunchBox or other comparable stores. Really saddened by the experience.

This review is for Erin! I had a fantastic experience at Hot Topic in Capitol Mall thanks to them. :) I do not live in Olympia, but was passing through and decided to stop here to pick up a couple new clothing items. Erin assisted me when I wanted to try on a few shirts and let me use the full length mirror outside of the dressing room since it was closed due to COVID. I was impressed with the helpful and pleasant customer service I received from Erin. I appreciate their willingness to connect and genuinely create a positive shopping experience for me. We even bonded over our birthdays that are only 1 day apart, haha! :)

All my questions were answered right away and the service was fabulous 🤘🏽😊

The staff are always very helpful. Has a huge variety of fashion subcultures and styles, ranging from gothic and punk to cute and geeky. The music blasting in the background makes it hard to hear and can be a little overwhelming, but despite this Hot Topic is still my favorite place to go clothes shopping. The T-shirts and jackets are the best.

Clothes for anyone, in all sizes. Jewelry found only there, fan merch, decals, & makeup, and all at great affordable prices.

Hot Topic rocks!! I love the clothes!!

I tried calling 3 times and I got hung up on each and every time.

My 6 year old is in love with this store and I couldnt be more thrilled about it. She gets her Bendy stuff, I get my TØP merchandise, and were able to browse the rest and find cool, unique pieces. Its a little higher priced but the sales are fantastic. The employees are super nice. One even got a magic bandaid for my daughter when she scraped her knee. Apparently, it makes everything better in an instant. My daughter confirms it worked! ;)

People are always super helpful. The only thing that I didnt like is how they kind of follow you around and are obvious about the fact they are looking for shoplifting. It comes off as pretty rude sometimes, but everyones gotta look out for shoplifters... So... Otherwise a great store!

This place has all kinds of cool stuff I am saddened however that the majority of the store is geared toward LGBTQ as if they are the only ones coming into the store. Nothing wrong with that but there are still many people who dont care for that lifestyle myself included. Lets keep our unusual and unique stores neutral.

Hot topic is one of the best stores in my opinion really the only store that I go to for fan merchandise for example you like a band or an anime you can find at least a shirt or 2 that is of said band or anime they dont have everything so dont be disappointed if you cant find what you are looking for but they do have some pretty interesting and cool things to get

Though its pricey in here (which they cant help due to the high quality specialized selection) you still can find great customer service and employees that always seem happy to be there, or at least comfortable.

A typical mall store experience, this Hot Topic was organized and clean unlike some other HTs in malls where the product is overflowing onto the floor and its impossible to browse.

Hot Topic is such a fun store, I love the selection of things from clothing to journals. I was very punk in high school for the first two years, and hot topic was my haven. Now, I go there to find various things. I can find great clothing for set and photo shoots for my company, I also get great and unique looking props, and my top seller, I love Tee shirts, you cant have enough. Being on set a lot or doing the dirty work outside the office (pre production) I need jeans and a tee, and at Hot Topic I can get tees that rock things I love. As a huge Zelda, Anime, and TV show fan I get the tees that are what I love, from Team Damon (TVD) to Korn to InuYasha and all the way to the best of the best, Link items (Zelda Fanatic!)
