The best Safeway store I have ever seen.

Very clean and organized store. I love their customer service and sales! Best Safeway I ever been to, hands down.

This location has beer and wine. Store was well stocked for most items. Aisles clear and store very clean throughout. Pharmacy on site.

I did not see any chicken pot pies in the warm display so I asked an employee in that section if he had any. He said no. So I discovered some in the cold section & told him. I never asked for cold or hot so he should have searched for me.

They have the most amazing wine and cheese Selection at the store. Please continue to make the X the excellent cheese balls that you do

A nice, large Safeway with lots of vegan options and an impressive local craft beer selection.

Ive been going to Harris Teeter in Olney ever since we moved to Maryland in 2015. HT was really awful today so I went to Safeway to get some items I couldnt get at HT. Then it hit me ... Safeway is a much better supermarket anyway. Im now switching to Safeway for good.

Love Safeway in general, but this Safeway sells wine! Wish I lived closer. I got 6 bottles and each bottle was a deal.

No sandwiches empty shelf. The person who prepares sandwiches comes after 12 pm. Not good at all this happened another time.

At least 25% of staff and 10% of customers werent wearing masks on Sunday morning, but the density of customers was very low, so felt safe. This Safeway sells beer and wine, which is great! But the alcohol prices are on the medium to high end (nothing approaching the 3 buck chuck that Whole Foods in the District sell!).

Well maintained. Plenty of parking. Could use some trash cans.

I was there at 7am. A cashier KeNeta had the biggest attitude, kept mumbling under her breath….all because she was ringing me up. Horrible person to have as a cashier interacting with people. With all the other options do not go here if she is working. Ruined my morning.

They discontinue some of our favorite things - for example the large herb salad and garden hummus. The aisles are crowded with special displays. If you dont want to check yourself out you will have to wait in a long line ( usually only one open).

I worked here and was fired for no reason other than an old resentful woman working there. It turned into a blessing they only give their cashiers a 15min break to eat during an 8 hour shift by the time you get your food your expected back . Horrible experience I would never recommend this company to work for .

Clean, well stocked store. Courteous & friendly staff. Little more expensive than Weis but worth it.

Excellent customer service though there needs to be someone who continuously checks the freshness of the fruits and vegetables more so the strawberries, raspberries and green grapes.

Prices going up and selection is going down. Dont carry Panera Dressings or the Organics Herb Salad. Just started to carry Amaretto creamer again from ID. Like that you can earn cents off on gas but raising the amount I need to spend in order to get bonuses.

This place sell beer and wine, good employees work here at every corner. For flowers, meat, and other customer service. Olney is small town, this place is definitely place doing business with local customers.

Safeway is the best grocery store in Olney.

Overall, I like this store. However, I wish they would fix the printers on self checkout or replace ink cartridges. I would like to review my receipt and it is always illegible.

Staff friendly and very professional and helpful...the BEST grocery store!

Watch out for Thomas English Muffin sale, although it says mix and match equal price or less, the Hearty one beside it, at the correct price, doesnt qualify. When I suggested they change the sale sign, the manager said Too bad, thats the way it is.

Overall decent store.. Helpful Supervisors Mon nite 04/19.. Need more Full-Svc Cashiers... Disappointed shelves werent as stocked compared to Jans inventory.. Low on items in: Dairy/ Household Cleaning/ Plants/ etc.. Prices 20-40% higher than Jans $😮

I shop here all the time and it is amazing. Do not ever try the pick up and go. It was the worst experience I have ever had with the them.

One of the best safeways in the area. The cashiers are over worked, not much staff on registers; but they still keep a good attitude and are very efficient.

First time at this Safeway and definitely will not be my last. Such a clean, organized and clean store.

We worked with Safeway for our wedding flowers, and they were beautiful. Myrella went above and beyond to insure that we received exactly what we had envisioned. The arrangements stayed fresh for a whole week, and we received so many compliments on the flowers.

Nice and busy Safeway. Good service. Beer and wine available. Ample parking.

Great staff, great store

The cashier allowed my groceries to pile up on the conveyor belt while I was emptying my cart. When I looked up and saw that the items were not being bagged, I asked why. The arrogant cashier said he didnt have to bag them since I brought my own bags. He certainly could have let me know sooner.

Safeway has car spaces set aside for curbside service, of which I use because of Covid vulnerabilities. The process at the Olney store is easy and efficient. Order online, drive up, call and announce your arrival and your parking space, and wait a few minutes for an employee to bring out your order and put it into the trunk of your car. It is not required, but I tip a few dollars. The Olney store is my favorite because you can put beer and wine on your order, which is a rare service in Montgomery County.

Love the Olney Safeway, great beer & wine selection. Love the wine tastings they have on Saturdays & sometimes Sundays.

I love this Safeway. Always sales especially in the floral department. I got beautiful glass vases for 4.25 each! Theres always sales on Safeway and brand name items. Plus it has a Starbucks too!

Good items

This storestands out as the only Safeway in Montgomery County that sells beer and wine, and it has a large selection.

I love that they are getting more plant-based options, but they need to make sure they are rotating expired goods in that section. I have found lots of expired plant-based goods over the years, otherwise I would have given them five stars.

I shopping every week in that Safeway is good fresh food and they have always everything.

They sell beer and wine, for me it is a one stop shopping.

This is the one sample in Montgomery County that sells beer and wine! Were a little strange in Montgomery County, some people like it that way... Anyway pretty typical grocery store for the area, slightly larger selection of prepared foods and produce than some of the other Safeway. Staff is always courteous and knowledgeable, and theyre not too hard to find at this store, always somebody at the customer service desk!

The Safeway in Olney has good service most of the time, l really miss Shina. She was so respectful and the best. Most of the cashiers are. However there is one that works on the Express line in the morning thats nasty and rude. I reported her in the past but her attitude continues which make you wonder why she thinks she can speak to the customer any way she wants. My guess management is not taking care of the problem. On 1/8/19 between 5:15 and 5:30 another young cashier was rude who appeared to have an attitude. When I asked her to check into why 2 of my items did get the sale price. She replied, I cant tell you go to customer service. I said the line has been slow now you want me to go to customer service. She yelled at me, am not slow your slow. So its obvious that Safeway management are not telling their employees that speaking to customers like that wont be tolerated. For the most of them are very professional.

One of the better Safeway stores in Olney. They have beer & wine, with great cheese and bakery selections. I have always liked Safeway meats Department, but even though small, the Olney Safeway is a step above.

Very clean, well staffed and stocked. One of the better grocery stores in the area. Definitely be sure to have or get a bonus card before shopping here, or at any Safeway. Too expensive if you dont have one.

Outstanding customer service. I needed help with several things today, and despite being extremely busy, employees quickly, happily, and intelligently helped me. Very unlike the Safeway I usually go to. Easier to find things here too.

Worst customer service. Safeway offers deals and then does not have product in store. Manager refuses to offer raincheck or substitute deal/product. Went to two different stores and had same experience. Going to rethink shopping at safeway.

Everything is well organized. Its not difficult to find what you are looking for here. If you do find yourself struggling to find something, the employees are quick to point you in the right direction.

This Safeway has everything groceries for sure but more. How about a wide selection of wine. Seriously youd think its a liquor store. There are several categories to choose from. So thats just wine imagine then my surprise even more alcohol. The beer options are quite impressive so there you have it. A grocery store and a liquor store. Did I mention the prices are reasonable and often lowered by sales.

This is the only grocery store that I seen in suburban Maryland (Washington, DC), that sells wine and beer. The selection of deli foods and bakery goods is good. The smell of the fresh flowers sold here permeate the air. The produce and meats are fresh. The service is excellent.

The alleged Front office manager was extremely profoundly disrespectful & bias toward me, being a female and of color... one question (Why) are we disrespected the most ?????????? The one star dont reflect my experience it is the only option to allow a consumer to post 😒 but the only way I choose to live is post LOVE, choose love not hate !

Great floral department, good produce with a great dried food section.They have a decent selection of beer and wines for a Montgomery County store (we live in the equivalent of the USSR for alcohol distribution in this county).However I find the store unusable most times due to horrible lines, especially during the day. They easily have the longest wait times in Olney. Even self-checkout can be backed up into the aisles. They simply do not staff enough people at the registers. I dont bother checking this store because of this frustration, so unless there is a sale, I dont shop here anymore.

This Safeway is great once you find a parking space. Since this is the only full grocery store that sells alcohol it tends to stay busy. The layout and size of their parking lot does not support the amount of business that shops here. Once in the store the staff is helpful and friendly and they do a superb job of keeping the store clean and looking great!

Love this Safeway! Montgomery Countys only grocery/beer and wine store. Plenty of parking including a garage with elevator up for inclement weather. The flower section is great and the produce is good.
