Think the lady who waited on us couldve been friendlier and two associates working looked at my granddaughter and myself never greeted us at all it matters so people want to come back too

Place seems sad. Not much merchandise. Ive always liked Penneys, but I cant help but worry about their future. I did buy a real cute tshirt though.Update: I heard they are getting in a new line and thats why there was a big empty space. So Ive added a star.

Prices are high but the layout of the store is nice and it is clean and the staff is very nice

Every time I go into the Olean Penny’s they are always so nice. And it’s more organized then other penny’s I’ve been to. The Sephora girls are pretty awesome too. So helpful!

Shelves are bare. The entire back of the store is empty. Hardly any staff and the line was long. Wonder whats going to happen to the store.

This review is specifically referring to the salon. My hair dresser was really nice and fun to talk to, however I’m not a fan of how my hair came out. I specially asked a couple times for her to make sure it’s long enough to be pulled up... and it’s not. Which is an issue because it’s supposed to be pulled up for work. I also showed her a picture of exactly what I was looking for, but it came out the wrong color and I don’t love the shape she cut it in. I’m hoping I like it more once u get used to it and the color tones down, but as of right now it’s not what I was looking for. If she hadn’t been so friendly I would’ve given it one star.

Long slow-moving line at the one checkout station that was open (the only one Ive ever seen open here). Everyone in line was returning something so it took forever. Prices are quite high for the merchandise they have here, even on sale items.

Great clearance deals if you look closely. I purchased work shirts for under $5 a piece

I went in to exchange some sneakers. The guy on register said it would be easier of I went to the customer service area. I could return and purchase the items Id picked up all at once. It was very helpful. There was also a good sale and my coupons saved me a lot of money.

The sales staff are amazingly friendly! Helpful about sizes and the prices! $50 shirt free! Get in on those sales folks! Lovely store.

Stood in line for quite a while. They were shorthanded. Got to the register finally, computer wouldnt accept my home phone number! Said not valid - The number I gave is my current phone number! Then, the cashier said, I cant sell this to you. It is out if our stock. WHAT??? I left buying nothing.

I am appalled at the way one of the employees conducts herself on Facebook. I understand that it is her private time but social media comments that are disgusting and hurtful are not necessary. Shellie from the salon really needs to be more careful. It makes the whole salon look poor.

Almost impossible to order anything online and pickup from store from Pennys.Very POOR operation.

I went to go get my eyebrows waxed at the salon that they provided, in which that when I first got there I had to wait 15 to 20 minutes just for this kid to get his haircut in order for my eyebrows to get waxed. There was only one worker and that when I got my eyebrows waxed the lady that did my eyebrows would not stop talking and did an awful job on waxing my eyebrows by leaving multiple hairs under my actual eyebrow and in between my eyebrows. Supposedly she put this cream under my eyebrows to stop the hair growth in which it seems like it exceeded the growth time, and about a week later my eyebrows were back to normal size and it usually takes my eyebrows 2 weeks to go back to its normal shape. I was also charged $12 for the waxing when it usually cost $7. Never going back to that salon again, nor do I recommend going there for waxing!

Was looking for a gray suit in the mens department. They didnt have my size but the lady working there was very kind and helpful trying to find my size to help me order the right one. 6/30 @ 4:10pm.

This store is not stroller friendly so if you must come to shop here leave your children at home. It was also on godly hot in there. Not a comfortable shopping experience whatsoever.

Biggest JC Penny Ive been in. Just stopped in while in Olean. Neatly organized and lots of choices for clothing. Nice size fitting rooms and seating area if you are waiting on someone to try on their clothes.

Mall exterior forboding. But store itself packs a big store into a medium space, inventory dense. Staff friendly and helpful.

One of the better JCPenny locations. They have a much larger mens section than many of the other locations Ive been to. Also, Ive purchased some really nice clothes in the clearance section for incredibly cheap.

Always a decent place to shop but could do with a little less glaring lights they have shinning on you at every checkout station. I dont know if thats an anti theft thing or to make sure youre well seen for cameras or what but I get a headache standing there waiting to checkout if its busy.

The one star is for the associate that helped me find the missing shoe. Bad experience with the customer service manager that could not do math. Shoes should have been 70 percent off of 70. They insisted that the 42.00 price was correct math....

Not a good experience could not find sneakers could not find any help to locate sneakers and shoe department was a disaster

Overall good experience, except while waiting for my son to get a haircut I tried to buy a bottle of water at online pickup desk next door and was told to go to a register at the other end of the store?? Even though this is online pickup she has a register and I saw her ringing people up so why would you turn down a sale for the store?

Typical. Clean. Great specials on clearance items. Located in dying mall. Kind of hidden. :( Now very hard to get to if not a local. Series of roundabouts make traffic surrounding mall frustrating.

There for 20 minutes not one person asked if I needed anything bought a pair of shoes and returned them 5 minutes later. Found them $20.00 less at shoe dept.

So. I bought these crocs okay. I cant cancel my order in store because they havent shipped. Well hun if they havent shipped. Cancel my order if they havent shipped. If your gonna shop for shoes in the mall go to the shoe department their crocs their are only 20 something and in jcpenney there 44+ . They made me pay through a jcpenney gift card and didnt want to give my money back. They were gonna make me have to use their stupid jcpenney gift card. Hun I paid with money but this guy was like oh you cant pay through money get a gift card :) like can you not.

Jc penny salon Stinks. i ask two different people on the phone how much it would be for what i wanted done was told by TWO different people that with mine coupon it be just $10.00, to have it done. WOW! INSTEAD IT CAME TO $50,00. NOT COMPARE FOR THAT MUCH. manger was no help. never again!

Very poor customer service. Employees dont even care to look up items properly. They even say they dont have the item, although, someone physically went & found the item few minutes be ago in their store. They cant even pull up an item with invoice number & order number. I called them 3 times. Im frustrated & never wanted to even order online. Im also cancelling my JCPenny card.
