Absolutely no cars in the garage… everyone standing around doing nothing. Telling me I have to make an appointment to put tires on… I can understand if there is a wait but when there’s absolutely nothing going on completely ridiculous!!

The “service” if there ever was any, has gone way down hill. Staff is rude and seem to do everything in their power not to help you. One day for an oil change and dropped off the keys for them to hold all day, the very next day for tire rotation and suddenly they’re not allowed to hold keys unless it’s within 15 minutes of service. Makes no sense.

Alex the Service Manager was awesome. We were from out of town and got a nail in our tire. He was able to squeeze us in at the end of the day on a Sunday when every other tire shop was closed. Unlike any other Walmart Service Center I’ve been to, these guys were very fast, polite, and professional. Thanks a lot for making a bad day better!

Went in for motorcycle synthetic oil, didnt have any for a 4-stroke, they keep moving everything around & its a pain in the butt to try & find anything, so I went else where !

Only took an hour for my oil change. I didnt mind because I was just walking around and doing my shopping while it was being done. Probably the best idea walmart had was to have an auto care center at their stores. Shop while you wait. Makes it easier and less stressful. 😊 Great experience overall, only cost me $56 and change. Cheaper and better than any other car service shop. 🚗 😊

Did not know that the battery that goes into a cadilliac DTS has to be programed for that car. Wouldnt replace it due to covid restrictions....battery is under back seat ....I understand that but dont tell people you can replace it and then tell us you cant because of covid

After years of experience with various walmart auto service centers, I have consistently found this to be the best managed center and drive 10 miles farther to just go to this location!

They never answer their phones. None of the locations!!! Would not recommend.

I normally like Walmart Auto and have used them in the past. My wife got a nail in her tire so I called up to ask if they can repair. They told me they close at 7 p.m. so to bring the car in by 6 p.m.. I stopped by at 3 p.m. and was told they were too busy and could not do it. They stated I needed an appointment. If appointments are needed for tire repair, they should have told me up front and saved me the risk of driving a car with a nail in the tire. Unless you have a lot of spare time on your hands, you may want to consider using another source for repairs.

I went in to replace one of my tires that I bought there and Derek got me in and they guarantee their tires. Mine was replaced totally free!! Excellent customer service Derek!

Jose at the counter was extremely helpful and explained the wait time and contacted me immediately when there was a change. Greg the technician was wonderful and took the time to show me my bad tire and why it could not be repaired. My tire issue couldnt have went any better.

Today was car maintenance day. Walmarts Auto Center of Oldsmar didnt show my 2009 Toyota Yaris in the auto centers reference book and I was told that if its not in the book they cannot install the battery so I bought the battery and installed it. Meanwhile Walmarts website shows this battery for my car. You figure it! I guess they dont have access to their own website. I asked the Walmarts Auto Centers attendant about lube for the cables and battery posts and he corrected me that its not lube but a spray and gave me the NCP2. Look at the picture in this review it states clearly on that package Ultra Premium Oil Base Proven Formula. Isnt oil another word for lube? Just an observation. In conclusion I think Mike could of extended himself and looked it up on the internet, after all thats what I did I opened Walmarts App and found that Group 26R and Group 35 fit into the 2009 Toyota Yaris 3 Door Hatchback 1.5 L as the screenshot shows below. I have a suggestion why not open your book Mike and write it in for the next Toyota Yaris owner!

Oldsmar Walmart auto center is terrible. Last year I purchased a set of tires for them. With that purchase I also purchased the road hazard plan. The other day on my way home I noticed I had a tire going flat. Tire was going flat very fast. I pulled into Walmart and ask for some help to patch a tire. I was told that for tire work I needed an appointment and that there were only two mechanics on duty this late in the day. It was 4:45. They close at 6. Next time I will plan my road hazard better. As I left the shop I happen to look over and both bays (that are used to do tires are empty). By now my tire was more than half flat. Luckily there is a Goodyear just across the street and they were more then willing to help. They took my truck right in. I will never go into Oldsmar Walmart Auto Center again. Very sad. They were a good shop at one time. NOT NOW.

Not mentioned on their site is you need an appointment for tires. Apparent even repairs. So much for purchasing the tire protection if you cant use it in an emergency. Not open on time and not customer friendly.

They said 4 hours to change 1 tire. while there were no cars in the garage. the mechanics sitting around talking laughing taking there sweet time. anywhere else will have a tire changed at the most 1 hour. I will be caught in the side of the road with a flat before i go here.

Gabe is usually behind the counter & kindly checks me in for my oil change but there was also a couple other guys, Greg & Jose, who where also very helpful & friendly...the debate was synthetic vs blend LOL I like getting my car serviced here, they are quick yet thorough with a checklist. First off you should all know they now take appointments for tires.NOW here is where they went above and beyond. I had an issue with my car after the tire installation so I returned immediately. Alex who is in charge of the auto center met me as soon as I pulled up and diagnosed the problem. It was not of there doing but In any case I could not drive the vehicle. After getting the managers involved they agreed to fix the condition at no charge as they didnt provide the specific service. Barry one of the techs was knowledgeable in how to fix it and went ahead. I tried to tip him after but he refused. Great customer service for something that they did not cause. Thanks to everyone involved.

I went to get an oil change at the cheapest place I could find so I guess it was my fault when I went to this place and they permanently damaged my car. The oil filter was not put back and my engine started knocking and leaked of all its oil. I was on my way to work and I had to wait an hour for triple A to come and when I had them tow the car back to Walmart, they refused to fix it because now it was a liability issue. I had to wait a month for them to determine who was at fault and if they would pay for the repair, and they wouldnt pay for a rental car for me for the whole time. In the end my car was never fixed and I wont be able to afford it thanks to them.

Great price for new battery. Pricey for oil change...customer service fairly unfriendly...and insanely slow...I agree with the waterboarding comment... I doubt that I will come back

Tne service was Great. The tire techs replaced the lug nuts after informing me of damaged to the originals. Plus informed on bump on other tire. Wow hazard cought early. Great job!

Wal-Mart is the place for new tires. Saved me over $300 over other quoted prices. If you go in with a good attitude, youre bound to have a great experience.

These guys are awesome. I was scheduled for a tire repair and would have had to wait 4 hours so I called an Uber. When the Uber man arrived drunk and I had to cancel, Gregory and Derek went above and beyond to work me in within the hour. As promised, the repair was done within the hour with a smile and compassion! Great job guys...I will be back for 4 tires in January:)

Alex the service manager and his associate were a huge help today!! My battery felt like it was about to fail me all day and by the time I tried leaving the gym it had one last wind (luckily). I pulled up to the auto center right as they were closing and instead of telling me to come back tmrw, an associate greeted me to help and Alex followed through with the tools and service to install a new battery to get me back on the road. This is the type of service that should be recognized and after they were finished with me. Another lady pulled up and they continued servicing her vehicle after hours. Highly recommend this location! Very reliable and good ppl.

Service was fine but they never called or came and told me (I waited in the lounge) that the repair was done. I looked at the paper work and it said it was done for over an hour before I came to the desk and asked.

I want to give AJ, the manager of this location 5 stars. A mistake had been made on my car during tire installation and it was brought to his attention. AJ ensured that the mistake was made right while being very kind and apologetic. I couldn’t be more appreciative of his great attitude, understanding, and customer service. The staff was friendly and the attention was good and of course economic. The only reason Im giving them 3 stars is because I found the wait time was excessive. I mean, 2 hours? For a simple tire repair? Before 4pm?I get that it was because other people were in line, and not that it actually took them 2 hours to repair the tire. But its hard for me to believe that everyone has the luxury of waiting so long for car service.If youre going to go into the store and buy groceries anyway, I guess its doable. Otherwise, if youre looking to just do this and get along with your day, beware of this time trap.

Why can’t I I give no stars, that’s what they deserve? Told them what I needed on Friday and set up an appointment for Tuesday morning. I go to the appointment and they only have two tires instead of 4. Try to up sell me for 35% more expensive tires. I will never go there again. Now I’m wandering around trying to find someone with tires I can put on today. It will cost me more but I’m sure not going to pay them more.

Ive done a battery and a tire there and both times had an excellent experience. Friendly, fast service at a great price and convenient to work.

Stop for an oil change and they checked my tire pressure and then adjusted accordingly and check my battery added washer fluid and who knows what else at no extra charge. I highly recommend them

Prices are great but employees dont want to work. It takes forever to get an oil change, they need a manager who push them a little bit more, I understand that they get paid by the hour but they are turtles, its ridiculous. The other day I got there a little bit before 6 pm and they didnt take my car because they already had a car getting an old change. Most places dont take more than 20 or 30 min to do an oil change.

They wouldnt change my tires because my driver side door doesnt work. My car was in an accident and the latch went out on my door when i was hit. My tires literally have threads and wires coming out but they still turnt me away. AND I HAVE A DISBALED ONE YEAR OLD. WHATS THE BIG DEAL OF ENTERING THROUGH THE PASSENGER SIDE. TAKES 2 SECONDS. THANK YOU WALMART!

Pretty sure Waterboarding is more pleasurable than dealing with the auto service department. Quoted 3 hours for tire rotation and ignored for 10 minutes when trying to buy 2 items...The worst customer service ever. P.S...THERE WERE ONLY 2 TECHS WORKING..ONE TIRE GUY..ONE OIL CHANGE GUY AND NO CARS BEING SERVICED.

You get what you pay for. Cheap services means cheap inconsiderate employees. Several Walmart Tire employees there were goofing off rather than performing their job functions with several people waiting and cars in the bay waiting to be worked on.They said they would call when it was completed, but never did. They couldnt bother to tell me that the service was completed after my two hour wait. I would of plugged the nail myself if I knew it was going to take two hours to pull one nail from one tire.Walmart knows they can get away with poor service because they could really care less about you.

They refused to change my oil because my car had a massive oil leak. So for the next 2 weeks I left a cardboard sheet under the car to monitor this leak. I counted maybe 18 drops of oil. My car leaks a little oil (has 200k miles), but certainly not to the point where they couldnt change my oil. Just a silly reason in my opinion. I just changed it myself instead. But they gave me a new tire for $60 after all fees. The battery install was free and the battery was cheap. So Ill give them a few stars for that.

I couldnt get my tires rotated because there is a 4 and a 1/2 hour wait because they changed the rules and now and you have to if you get tires make an appointment and a fear waiting otherwise you just after wait and wait and wait so I will be taking my business down the street where I can get my old changed and Tire rotation without waiting for hours

I was told it would be be 1 to 1 1/2 hrs for a oil change for a oil change. I was there for over 3 ...the first 20 minutes was waiting for the guy to get my info in line to put me in the system. The reciept has the time in as 10:21am and out 1:13pm....not including the wait time as I previously stated. The workers spent alot of time talking and looking at their phones. They are rude as well, after 2 hrs I asked if it was going to be much longer and I was told to be patient..and that your not a Jiffy lube and he walked away.

The tire shop here is horrible! In the last week, Ive tried to get my tires replaced 3 times and they wouldnt see me. It says they are open until 7 pm, but refuse service at 430 pm, 5pm, and 6 pm. I tried to find a place open later because of work hours, and this Walmart tire place is open till 7 pm but wont see you even if youre 2 1/2 hours early before closing. The employees are very lazy and just dont want to work hard! Please hire new employees and get rid of the ones working there now, because if they cant see people on 3 different days in a week when they are there a few hours before closing time, then that is just laziness! So disappointed!

They tell you to bring in your car for a tire change and when you get there they will not take you....why?? That explain the 2.6 rating. Never again!

I know this isnt a full service auto repair, but god damn, can you guys do anything?? Tried to come in for an oil change for my own car, a chevy Aveo 2011, claimed they didnt have the tools, and had to take my car elsewhere. Came in with my mothers car a few months later, a Jeep Cherokee 2001, for a battery change and couldnt even figure out how to take the battery out of the engine. And while we were there, heard them talking to someone about not being able to change a single tire on their car because of a bolt. So, dont waste your money and dont waste your day trying to mess with them. Just take your problem to someone who knows what theyre doing. 😒😒😒

First, I am a weekly Walmart shopper and like the store. Further, I regularly use the Tire Center for oil changes and tire rotation with good results. However, I recently had a new battery installed in my 2002 Town and Country van. After I left the store, I noticed that the speedometer was not working. I took the van to my local Chrysler dealership and explained the problem and my recent battery change. Chrysler told me that the speedometer gets locked down is power is not maintained to the instrument cluster. Chrysler reset the instrument cluster at a cost of $125. On my next visit to Walmart, I took my Chrysler paperwork and explained the situation to the dept manager and asked for reimbursement. His response was that he had never heard of this, so he was skeptical. I pressed my case and he said that he would have to file an insurance claim. Completing the paperwork took about 40 minutes. In a few days, Walmarts insurance company, CMI, called me. I again explained the situation. CMI (Blake, representative) said that they did not accept any responsibility for repairing their damage unless I could present incontrovertible evidence of their responsibility. Since I thought that I had, I asked specifically what they needed. Blake told me that he could not tell me what he would accept, only that he needed incontrovertible evidence. So, not knowing what CMI (or Walmart) actually needs as proof, I am stuck with a $125 charge for having Walmart install a $105 battery. What really galls me is that Walmart will not stand behind the service that they provide. So, my advice to others is to avoid any electrical service at the Tire Center. Walmart does not have the expertise to work in this area and is not prepared to remedy any errors. (September 2015)
