I have been looking for the perfect mattress for months & I met Bobby McDearmon at the Oldsmar location. He was very kind & very educated on the products available at the store and the mattress market. It was a breath of fresh air having the ability to take my time without someone hovering over you, yet available if I had questions. His personality is delightful & he is very knowledgeable. I learned a lot in my bed searching from Bobby. I would highly recommend stopping in if you need an appliance or mattress. It was a great experience. We remodeled our kitchen and purchased a new refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher.....really happy with the folks at Famous Tate. The delivery team did an amazing job of unpacking the appliances to ensure they were not damaged and they took away all of the packing material. Although we are not finished with our kitchen the two appliances we have so far look great. I will be purchasing an ice maker from them next.

I worked with Jim on refrigerator and washing machine purchases. I was happy with the service and pricing. I also liked knowing they work with organizations to try to use working, older appliances. They had a glitch with their computer system, which was a pain. However, Jim, his manager and others were helpful in getting the order in and back on track. After the hiccup, which was noones fault, all was very professional and we love the new appliances. The delivery and install was also very well managed and the installers were wonderful. Will definitely buy from them again.

We have purchased 4 major appliances and one adjustable bed over past yrs, most recently a 4 door fridge. the salesperson listened carefully to what we were looking for, offered multi options available and/or to order, answered all questions, provided the perfect product in timely manner- delivered and expertly installed. Consistantly. we plan to always return, no reason to go elsewhere!!

I purchased a Tommy Bahama mattress and box springs thru their Oldsmar location, the sales person was Bryan Miranda. He did an excellent job explaining all the various brands so that I could get the best extra firm mattress that I wanted. I have patronized Tate for years and they NEVER disappoint, including this transaction. However I discovered the night before the delivery at 10:45 the next morning that my current full size bed frame could not be adapted to my new queen size mattress! I drove back to the store when they opened the next day to see what my options were in getting the right size frame. My mattress was already on the delivery truck so a frame from their warehouse could not be put on the same shipment. Bryan was not in that morning so employee Shirley Kregel found the right size frame on the floor and gave me that one and Tate would keep the one that would eventually come out of the warehouse. I took the frame home and assembled it 10 minutes before the delivery truck arrived. Both Bryan and Shirley get a 10+ from me for an excellent customer experience!

I went to Best Buy, Home Depot and Lowes before I remembered that Famous Tate has great prices and availability! The others were all sold out and boy am I happy about that! I saved so much money! It was easy to order, in stock and delivered in 3 days! I even had installation of a microwave and it was done quickly and professionally! Love Famous Tate!

I got a great price on an in-expensive model Frigidaire side-by-side. I have read the instructions included with the new fridge and it recommends using more filters if you have hard water!! But, the third-party delivery service!!!!!! which, only cost $31 for delivery, set-up and removal of my old fridge( it also had a filter included) they removed the in-line water filter from the copper water line in my home connecting to the fridge, WITHOUT ASKING ME OR TELLING ME AND ATTEMPTED TO REMOVE IT FROM MY HOME WITHOUT TELLING ME!! When I asked why they removed it they said I didnt need it, its not recommended to leave old filters . But, it wasnt OLD! it was a new $32 in-line filter. The problem is they tried to take it without telling me and they removed the copper washers that connect to line and I had buy a new one and hire a plumber to install it which cost $125 total!!!!!!!Thank you for your response. I have used an in-line filter for 10 years in addition to the filter in the refrigerator and actually it makes the water better and the filter last longer with no restrictions at all!! As a matter of fact... the Care and use instructions recommended using more filters if necessary!!!!!!!SO, YOU CAN QUIT TELLING ME SOMETHING THAT ISNT TRUE! IM NOT TALKING ABOUT SOMETHING I DO NOT UNDERSTAND!! YOU SHOULD READ THE INSTRUCTIONS YOURSELF!!!!!

Every renovation project is plagued by unforeseen problems and delays, and ours was no different. But Jim Quigley at Famous Tate’s Oldsmar hung in there and was very understanding and patient with us. Just had washer and dryer delivered this past Saturday. Slight problem with the water lines (small oversight) However, after a quick call to the office, the correct ones were on the way. That is service! You wouldnt get that at the Big Box Stores. I had a great experience with Famous Tate. I ordered an oven online late on a Sunday. Someone contacted me Monday morning to schedule a day for delivery and the oven was delivered the next day. As promised, I got a call that morning with my 2-hour delivery window and then I was able to track the truck on their website to see exactly when they would arrive. Delivery guys were nice, professional, and careful. They installed for us and were in and out in about 15 mins. Highly recommend.

Great service and great staff. I have worked with Bob Ready in the past, still had his number and made a quick call to get a new washer and dryer. I told him what I was looking for and he explained to me that he would look around and see what he had in stock. Low and behold a few days later he called and he explained that one of the items would be a few weeks out. Well, I got another call that he has both items and are ready for delivery. We made the effort to go from Tampa to Oldsmar because the Tampa store was not helpful on the phone. Completely different experience at the Oldsmar location. Everyone was courteous and professional and wanting to help. They know their products and were able to answer all our questions. Delivery of our appliance was a non-event. I would recommend this location very highly and will use them again.

Famous Tate saved the day! I had attempted to quickly get a replacement refrigerator for my 97 year old mother when hers stopped cooling. I tried all the big box stores, and they couldn’t get me an appropriate replacement for weeks. Famous Tate’s did it in a few days and were great at every step: selection, order, delivery and take away. Flawless service - and I just bought another appliance from them this week. Now, I’ll always look at Famous Tate first - they’ve earned that.

We ordered a new refrigerator online after a lot of research. Famous Tate had the lowest price by several hundred dollars. I received a phone call within a couple hours of making the purchase to inform me of the process. They were accurate and efficient with getting me the fridge as quick as possible. The delivery guys were great and took great care getting the fridge in my house.

The saleswoman knew what we wanted and it took no time at all and we were finished.

Very helpful sales lady not pushy Toto on it scratch and dent or cheapest stove do you help me compare the options I was out of there very quickly. The delivery went perfectly as scheduled and was free. The delivery men are very competent and wore masks or careful they measure the stove to pictures of it turned on the burners and reminded me to put the stove on for 30 minutes before first use.

My husband and I are in the process of renovating our kitchen and laundry room. We have been to three separate companies to get prices on all the appliances we wanted. When visiting Famous Tate’s we were pleasantly surprised that we weren’t bombarded by someone as soon as we walked in. But as soon as we needed someone they were there to help. We have been working with Jim Quigley and have nothing but good things to say! He went through every appliance with us and gave us the best price out of everyone. We ordered the washer and dryer already and the delivery went insanely smooth. They called to verify a couple days before, called again the Saturday before, called that morning and then continued to keep us updated via txt message until 10 minutes before delivery. The delivery guys were very helpful and polite! We can’t wait to get the rest of our stuff soon. I always recommend people to to Famous Tates now! Thanks again to Jim!!!

We have renovated all of the appliances in our home through Famous Tate and just wanted to share how they treat long term customers...In Dec. 2016 we purchased a GE dishwasher and the extended warranty. The left side handle of the unit is loose. While were home and after having our refrigerator serviced, at the recommendation of that service person, called to have the dishwasher fixed. Famous Tate told us to call GE for Service. GE set up an appointment and when we got the email service message, noticed there was a charge for $99. When we called back we were told that a handle repair isnt under warranty - even with an extended one that includes parts and labor through 12/21/2021. We then called Famous Tate and was told wed hear the following day. After a follow up call when we didnt hear, we were told wed get a call in a few minutes when the repair person returned. Heres what they said - theyre Afraid to come out and fix the handle because the unit is so OLD. They cant explain why the warranty doesnt cover it. So much for the extra $130.00 we spent on that warranty, let alone all of the $ weve spent at Famous Tate. Told them we would be posting on social media and they didnt seem to care about that either. So its definitely buyer beware with Famous Tate and GE products.I am adding to my original and altering the rating from 1 to 3 - Received 2 calls from Famous Tate to discuss. They will send a repair person out to assess the situation. I told them I would change the review for their effort.If the problems corrected, I will revise the review to a 5.

First time dealing with Famous Tate but not the last. I purchased a range, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher at one time and Mark Roth made it easy and enjoyable - even when I received the total invoice!! The price was right and so far, their service has been great. I will return again because of that.

I needed to purchase a new washing machine but was concerned with social distancing. I called Famous Tate and worked with Adam who was AMAZING! Had a Bosch Dishwasher installed ( cost $ 139.00 + an additional $35 for special plug) The installer said I really didnt need a new D/W because it was a hose that was pinched causing the D/W not to drain. I was happy ( sort of ) because the appliance repair man could not fine a cause. So now I have a new D/W good for 10 years....( anyone in need of a bridge?) and the installer says the D/W works perfectly. !!!The installer leaves and the D/W still does not drain ...Famous Tate washed their hands of this and now I am working directly with Bosch ? Wonder how this will work out.Summary: 1. Appliance repair man said its fixed.2. New D/W installer says it is fixed...3. tomorrow Bosch will be here ....

Very helpful. But, because the refrigerator we wanted was out of stock, no sale.

I bought a gas dryer on August 24th. Waited until November 6th to be installed as it was not in stock (nor was any dryer). After using the dryer we realized it had a huge design flaw in that it was susceptible to catching clothes in the lent trap causing the drum to not be able to turn, thus causing the belt to break. Unfortunately, this is exactly what happened less than 30 days after purchase. I called to speak to someone to discuss my options and was told a manager would call me back. As the day went on nobody called, so I called again in the evening. Again, I was told someone would call back. Nobody did. I happened to be in the area today and stopped by...I cant go without a dryer! I spoke to the store manager Steve and was told I needed to call electrolux and there was nothing he could do. He said they do not take their machines back (I wanted a different dryer that did not show the design flaw) that no appliance company does (uh, lowes does). He also said that he had no way of knowing i was right that it was the belt (I know the smell and the free spin that comes with a broken belt). He was very rude and couldnt be bothered to help find a solution to a dryer that his store sold that broke in less than 30 days. This is absolutely the end of my relationship with famous tate and me recommending them.

The best experience we ever had buying appliances-dishwasher and microwave. Installation service was excellent. Stock and choices plentiful. The only place we will ever use to buy/replace appliances.

Wish this was a good review. We are going to renovate our kitchen and my Moms friend had told us that this establishment was very helpful and had great customer service. We went down there today. My Mom said hi to the employees going through the door with no replies back. We were looking at the Sub-Zero and other refrigerators for about 15 minutes and no one had come over to offer help. A man who had come in after us was offered help near us so after that we decided to leave. When we left someone walking by said to have a good day, will not be back.

I searched for a year to find the best deal on a fridge, stove, and dishwasher. I was so frustrated at the up and down pricing of Lowes, Home Depot, Best Buy, etc...As soon as I walked into Famous Tate, I noticed the price difference. Way better!! In one visit, after a YEAR of searching, I was able to find exactly what I was looking for and cheaper than I had seen anywhere else. One visit!It didnt stop there. Free delivery. Cheap removal of old appliances. And the delivery crew was awesome! Helped hook things up and gave advice on how to use our new appliances. They didnt have to do anything but drop stuff off.I will definitely be doing more shopping at Famous Tate!!
