Showed up to shop at 3 in the afternoon on a Saturday and saw a crowd of people standing outside the door looking confused. As I walked up, I discovered a handwritten sign stating that this Dollar Tree is now only open until 1 pm every day and completely closed on Wednesday and Thursday. Guess those of us who have to work full time will no longer get to shop at Dollar Tree.

I usually have a decent experience when shopping here. However lately I have seen a decline in customer service. There is one cashier that is rude without reason. I have literally seen her ask a customer what was he looking at and to check himself. They are not required to wear name tags Howe the manager there stays holed up in his “ office”. She works right in front of him so he is aware of her nasty attitude. Too many people need jobs and are more than happy to assist with a positive attitude. If you do not like customer service work somewhere else.

Im going to preface this by saying 99% of the time dollar tree is amazing. Today however, the cashier threatened me. She threatened to come over to me, to come to my car to get me. The whole shebang. Im absolutely floored. I talked to the manager and all he said was Ill talk to her later. This is not a later issue. If you have an employee threatening customers, it needs to be dealt with right away.

Found what I wanted at a great price, of course! There is a mask required sign on the front door. When I went to checkout, a cashier was not wearing a mask. I went to go to the other lane with a masked cashier, but the person in front of me had an entire basket. So I went back to lane 1 since I am on my lunchbreak. The cashier grabbed a tissue and started wiping her nose and mouth, then did not use hand sanitizer or anything! Yuck.....

Love the dollar tree but they are so short staffed that they have been closing at early and at odd times. Have not been able to get my shop on lately.

Great store well stocked and the young man at the register was very kind despite the long line and how busy they were! Appreciate kindness more then ever today! Store was clean had partitions between cashier and customer seems to be taking percautions and certainly very pleasant to interact with!

We stop by here frequently for everything from snacks/sodas/chips...to toys/books/puzzles/stickers for the little ones...to gifts/candies/ballons/cards for all our party needs...and for especially nice seasonal and holiday items!

One of the better Dollar Tree stores that Ive been to, excellent selection and fully stocked.

Wow! There has been a significant change in this store! Under new management and he knows it’s important to take pride in your store. The inventory available is fantastic and the shelves are full. Amazing job!!!

I used to come to this Dollar Tree a lot since it’s down the street from my job. However, I’ve noticed a decline in terms of the lack of inventory and staffing. Now I’ve come to find out they even had to decrease their hours of operation likely due to staff shortages.

Some things im surprised i can get for a dollar. Love that they have a frozen section, not just dry food and other items. Good toys for any kids. Little lego packs. Great selection of 1$ goodies.

It was like shopping at a mini Walmart it has everything no shelfs bare.

They have really taken the time to clean up and organize the store in the last year making it much more of an inviting shopping

If you have not been to this store recently you need to. It is very well organized and clean. The employees are always working and organizing shelves. I think it is the best Dollar Tree in the Kansas City Kansas area.

Everything was good besides the cashier. She was very rude she was throwing our items into the bags, laughing and glaring at us, she kept yelling as we were leaving. She had bright red hair, very long silver acrylic nails, and she was on the end lane. 3/17

This particular store was disappointing, not very well stocked.

This store is such a mess there is no reason to keep it open, it isnt like they could possibly sell anything from the back room or the sealed boxes laying around and their shelves are empty of anything that belongs there. I only bothered to take two pictures but the whole place looked like this. They even had Halloween decoration caution tape out roping off areas that were such a disaster it would have been dangerous for customers to try to walk through.

Although its all a buck, I still cant get out of there under a twenty. Fun place.

It was fun to shop there, and the store was definitely cleaner and tidier than when I was there about a year ago. New Management? I do think all the cashiers should have fans at their cash register station. When youre working in one spot like that it can get really hot. Sweat shop work should be a thing of the past!

I am rating this store a 5 star because of the quality in customer service I receive every time I go in to shop is amazing. The store has made a complete turn around in the past 6+ months. The manager and staff are so friendly, professional and ready to help. The store is now organized, clean and stocked. They treat you like they care. (-: Good energy at a fast pace! 🌅

Plague hot spot. An employee interacting with customers without any precautions and some customers also without masks. All ironically in the elderly population. Doubt any surfaces were being wiped down.I didnt have very high expectations for a dollar store but go at your own risk.

It was pretty busy, but Christmas was only two days away. People working there took it all in stride and Were in good spirits.

The prices are good, but man is the customer service bad. Mask down on the neck, barely spoke to me at the checkout, but felt the need to make a loud comment about the other people in line not seeing that the other line was open. Guess people are blind.

Typical Dollar Tree😊! Cleaner and better organized than some! I bought glad trash bags,( 7 bags for a dollar!), a Christmas door hanger, and way too much candy! So, a wide variety of products!

Great place to pick up all different types of items from kitchen supplies to greeting cards. Plus anything and everything in between. The only thing is depending on when you go you have to wait in line a long time because there is only one cashier. Otherwise its a great place to go. They always have something new and different in the store.

The lines to the register are really long. There is stuff all over the floors and off the shelfs and its very unorganized and looks to be out of stock. The one off k-7 is much better. This store is a hot mess.

Great place to pick up party supplies or cutesy small things. The store is pretty barren at times and quite messy. It seems to be very popular as there is always a line but if you are needing party supplies, travel stuff, or on a budget-Dollar Tree is where to go.

Not great not much stock and looks very tired. Doesnt look clean. Mostly only one cashier so queues are long and slow. The one off Johnson Drive is much better, clean well stocked and quicker.

If you are coming for quick amusement items or stuff to stage a home, this place is awesome. If you are a business owner with 0 free time who makes a purchase online and hope an email to pick it up is time saved, dont waste your time. 1 order paid for never arrive. The other two I had to wait FOREVER for the manager to get his act together on. I got the email saying this latest order had arrived, only to get there to wait 15 minutes and hear that the truck comes tomorrow... so maybe then? Youre kidding....

I’ve been shopping in this store for years. While I’ll admit it’s rough around the edges, this is the best and the cleanest I’ve seen it in years. I drive all the way from Martin City to shop here because it is my favorite dollar tree around!

This store has gone downhill the last couple of months. Theres always carts with lots of boxes waiting to be put away and mostly empty shelves. I used to love going there and always bought more than what I planned to. Now I leave empty-handed. :(

So normally I get cards gift bags and a couple of holiday decorations....but this place was a pit. And the slowest cashier imaginable. It must have been a hard day for that store that day. Best one is in Bonner springs. Im not usually in that area, but when I am I try to make time to stop in.

Dollar tree used to be good but now a dollar doesnt buy what it used too and the overall quality of stuff has really declined in my opinion.

I come here almost everyday. Good store and good people. Even though is unorganized when they have truck come in. 90% of the time it’s the customers with kids that trash the place.

I dont know if it is management or lack of employees but this store has gone down hill in the worst way. The shelves are empty, boxes every where, dirty, lines are long and slow moving.I love dollar tree stores and have shopped in them in 3 different states, this location is by far the worst one I have been in. Its sad because its a great location for a lot of people:(

The store has definitely undergone some renovations and I highly commend them however there was an employee being extremely rude and condescending to another and I was shocked. In front of numerous customers. He needs to be reprimanded

The employees are very helpful. I keep saying it needs to be bigger so boxes are not in the middle of the walk way. Also a store needs to open in Gardner, KS.

Very clean store

This store is filthy and trashy. The shelves are mostly empty. Empty pop cans and fast food cups laying around. I talked to a manager and he had no response. I told him to go look at the one in Osawatomie Ks, he said I don’t know where that is. I’ll always shop there anyway. It’s the only one here. The bread I bought had mold in it. I took it back and they was nice and let me exchange it.

Shelves can be bare; seasonal items go fast. Check the boxes that are in the aisles because there is tons of unboxed merchandise in them (you can usually see the contents printed on the side of the box).

Digging the D Tree. Some great bargains with some gems to boot. Huge bag of popcorn and the cookie and cream ice cream, to name only 2...

I bought 2 Sunday papers and the coupon inserts and CVS add were pulled out of both of them. This is ridiculous! It’s obvious that a store employee is stealing the inserts for personal use.

Everything $1. Cute seasonal dishes, done things I havent seen other places. Fun to shop here.

Terrible, if I could give zero stars, I would. Place was filthy, not much inventory, only 1 cashier with her light on and she was horribly slow. One person started checking someone out on another register but wouldnt turn on her light. She did finally call over some of the people waiting to check out but the line of customers waiting to check out was literally half way down the center aisle of the store. Took 10 min to get checked out and that was with only one customer in front of me. AC wasnt working well so that didnt help matters. People were hot and unhappy having to wait in line so long.

The shelves are usually bare. I have never seen a Dollar Tree that is so poorly run. However the people who work there are genuinely very nice.

Lots of selection and youll find more than youd imagine. I was able to find a bunch of small item things that would have costed me a ton somewhere else.

I try to avoid this dollar tree because the shelves are usually pretty sparce and they dont have what Im looking for, and it can sometimes be disorderly.
