The store is always very clean. The associate was friendly. They had what I needed for my costume. They always have everything that you need for a party or costume. Great store and always a great experience. Recommend for your party needs!

Came in on a Saturday morning. I like that there is a full staff and not just one person doing everything. Everybody is working super friendly fast and getting things done. I would recommend.

Well, its been a thorn in my side since my kid learned that it was filled with candy, low quality toys, and colorful stuff...but its closing, so I figured I had to swing through and see whats left. What a good deal on things I had the opportunity to shrug about.Ill be clear, I dislike every experience I have with this company, but between having a 9 year old and throwing themed parties regularly before COVID, my hands were tied. The company is alright. This location was alright. Everything is just alright.

Came here last weekend to buy a large foil balloon for my sons 1st birthday. Ive always worked with a Party City for this, so I knew what to expect. The gal who took my order did what was needed, but not super helpful. I wanted 3 regular latex balloons to get with the foil balloon (so my 3 older kids could have a helium balloon too), but when I asked for them (no she didnt offer first), she just pointed and said, Theyre over there. So I picked up what I thought I wanted and finished my purchase. I didnt realize that the bright red balloons I picked out were actually going to be pink once inflated. No big deal, as I have 2 girls at home who loved them, but would have preferred red to match my sons decor. After I picked them up, I realized the gal never asked me what color ribbon I wanted, how long I wanted it, or if I would like to get a weight for it, a service Ive always received in the past. So no big deal breakers, as I made due with what I got, but I definitely think the customer service to this branch could use lots of improvement.

Im disappointed that Party City is going out of business at this location in the near future. It had always been a convenient location, the employees were friendly, and the selection had been well stocked.

I like this location. It’s always clean and stocked up. But, recently, they charged me $15 just to fill up a balloon with AIR... It deflated before the party even started.. Very disappointing and a waste of money. Probably just going to invest in a helium tank for future parties.

Paid $15 for a few hundred green apple tootie frooties (counted at counter/just go by weight - saves every one time!) Unfortunately, they were rock hard and felt like theyd been sitting there for about a year untouched. This is the only place you can find em in the city. I think Ill be sticking to Amazon.

I was looking for plastic champagne flutes and saw online that Party City had them in stock. When I came in I asked a staff member where they were in the store. He immediately stopped restocking shelves and took me right to them. He then showed me several other different plastic flute options they had. I left with my 20 plastic flutes a very satisfied customer!

Great birthday party supplies especially decor. Amazing prices and selection on bulk candy. Its just a fun place to visit especially with the kids especially during Halloween. Take a look at various scary and talking decorations. Giving 4 stars because aisles are too small and crowded.

Great place for party supplies. Order helium balloons online. They cant do them same day on busy days. Luckily my balloons were filled before running out of helium on a Saturday morning. Pretty sure thats 70% of their business on Saturdays. What the heck?

They had exactly what I needed for a 3 year olds birthday party. The staff is helpful and checked with me often to see if I needed help.

Great place to get anything for any type of party. They have things logically displayed and organized making shopping very easy. The only down side is they are very slow when it comes to checking you out. Im not sure if it is a computer issue, but if there are 3 or 4 people ahead of be prepared to wait.

There was no party and its way smaller than a city... Not even the size of a village. False advertising... All they had was an abundance of affordable themed paper and plastic fairs in every color and shade that someone could possibly want. Oh! And, clear...

Last Summer, I ordered 3 sets of balloons, to be put on 3 different weight things. I was offered bags for each of the sets, to keep them separate & from tangling up. When we picked the balloons up everything was great.Fast forward a year & once again I go in & order 3 sets of balloons. I explained to the snooty little girl who took my order of how I wanted the balloons to be separated & on different weights. My husband goes in a couple of days later obviously to how I had wanted the balloons to be separated. (He was not with me when I ordered them) He gets them home & once I see them they are all tied together & we ended up having to cut the ribbon to separate the balloons. (This time, I had only 2 weight because I was going to tie one set to an object) I immediately called the store & was put on hold for several minutes before a man got on the phone. I explained to him the issue & he says well what can I do for you? I said I am calling to complain since I just spent $75 on balloons that I cant even use the way I wanted. He continues to tell me that the wind probably got them well there was not an oz of wind then he said We have signs all over! I told him dont blame me among other stuff! Sorry I dont go around reading all the signs .The snot should have offered me the bags in the first place! Never again!

All greeting cards are now $1, and they are quality cards! Most things are a bit pricey but the staff is helpful and always smiling, which is great. Good assortment of party supplies for all sorts of celebrations.*update 03/20/18 The greeting cards are no longer all $1 and after waiting in line for 10 minutes I wish I knew that before hand.

Short Story: Poor customer service. Unapologetic for making your customers wait for checkout. Had an air of annoyance that I was even there. This coming from someone whos actually had to deal with truly unruly customers.Long Story: Id give them zero stars if I could. I ran in really quick to check out their leftover fall/Thanksgiving stuff and found what I was looking for just fine, despite the mess from switching over to Christmas supplies.There were about four employees that I saw up front. One was helping with a balloon order and one was in a back corner sorting and packing fall items. There were two working on a display in front of the door, within eyesight of the checkout.There was one open register and I went to it. The employee helping with the balloons saw me and did nothing to get anyones attention. I had been waiting for a bit when a lady came up behind me. After a bit she asked if I was being helped and I said no. She set her item on the counter and said she was done. As she walked out, she told the two in front of the door that there were customers waiting. One of them had been facing toward the checkout and Im pretty sure they saw me.They finally came over and chatted about whether or not one of them was set up on a drawer or not. Finally, one of them rang up my items and took my payment. All of this with no eye contact and not a single word beyond what was necessary for payment. No Hi, Im sorry for the wait or Did you find everything okay. Not even an acknowledgment that I was even there.The employee helping with the balloons came over and interrupted while my receipt was being printed. There was an issue with one of the balloons and the cashier took it to mess with it. Once my receipt was printed, the cashier didnt even pause to hand it to me nor handed me my bag. I grabbed the receipt out of the printer myself and walked out the door mentioning that they should be more attentive.If I hadnt found what I was looking for, I wouldve dropped everything there and walked out like the lady behind had done. This was completely unacceptable and you should never take out your annoyance on your customers!

I called to place a balloon order and was told that they don’t take balloon orders during the weekend. I asked why, since this seems like a popular time to accept orders, and was told that they’re too busy to be at a register that long. Every time I go to the store, I wait in line for at least 10 minutes. It seems that they need to hire more people due to how busy they always are.

They didnt have several items I was looking for and the selections they did have were limited.

The customer service here is appalling. My wife went in to get stuff for our baby shower and they didnt have it at this store and she asked if they could call to see if they have it at any one of the other stores and their store so she could give him a piece of paper and said youre going to have to call yourself. Some customer service!

Their customer service here is awful. I called ahead, was told there was no wait, and arrived 5 minutes later. I was told there would be a 45 minute wait with 2 people ahead of me. I understand people got there before me, and wait times happen. However, the tone of the woman who I spoke with was unacceptable. Get a different job where you wouldn’t have to interact with people if you cannot be kind. It’s simple.

Horrible Customer Service. I purchased a $60 Halloween mask here. On my way home, I noticed that it had a slight tear in it. I turned around and went back to the store to try and exchange it but it was the last mask. I requested a refund and they said that they do not issue refunds on Halloween costumes. I told the manager that I literally just bought the mask less than 10 minutes ago and that they sold me a defective product. They still refused to give me a refund. Never shopping here again!

Ive never been more disrespected at a store in my life. Alyssa is a terrible employee and actions should be taken. I went into the store simply looking for glitter and when I proceeded to ask her if they carried any she rudely replied NO and then took her cart and pushed it away. I will not be coming back to the Party City on 119th as long as shes working there.

The customer service here is horrible! Please take your business to a different Party City, I have never had to deal with someone so rude and hold the title as a manager “Chris” . If there was option for no stars they would definitely get that. Hopefully they get new management soon.

The last time I was in, shelves were bare and it was hard finding what I needed. This time, however, there were a ton of choices and ideas. Just wish the paper plates and napkins weren’t so pricey. Save yourself some money and go to the dollar store for those.

Party City is great to shop at if you know where everything is at. They are just really bad at making it a priority to their team to acknowledging guest and making sure they arent having a hard time finding what they are looking for.

This overpriced party store caters to Johnson County residents with money to burn and little concern for quality. Staff knows little about their merchandise. I only shop here when I cant find party supplies I need elsewhere.

Nice store, many selections for costumes, props, decorations, etc. Well kept, and employees, though interaction was minimal, were delightful and kind.

People at the counters are extremely helpful. Hard to find help on the sales floor, but they are very nice when you do.

We purchased some Halloween costumes from Party Citys online site and the costumes didnt live up to our expectations. When I returned them to the store, I wasnt given a hard time in any way. They refunded my order no problem. Ill be even more willing to buy from their online store in the future, knowing that I can make returns without having to ship the items back. BTW, they even took back a costume that they dont carry in their store.PS: They do have a return policy that says if the item is holiday related, it must be returned at least ten days before the holiday. Today is October 18. We just made it.

I am very upset with this store. I purchased a lot of items for a birthday party and was told to bring in my receipt the day I would like my balloons filled with helium and we would not have to pay. I brought in my receipt with balloons and they charged my in laws with a helium fee. I am trying to contact the store with no response because no one picks up the phone. Terrible.

If I could rate less than a full star I would. Your store in Olathe, KS is a sad joke of a store. We went there to try and find napkins and plates that said Happy Anniversary. The only things they had in stock was Happy 25th or 50th. Absolutely nothing with just Happy Anniversary on it.We walked all around the store and finally asked someone at the front. They sent a girl to come help us...problem was she had only worked there for a week. We searched some more and found 40th items in the birthday section. We managed to find a center piece and balloons that had 40 on them. It is not what we wanted but figured it would work.After waiting in way too long of a line we get to check out and told the cashier that we want to fill 4 of the balloons up. He told us it would be a 40 minute wait. WHAT?!?! A 40 minute wait time for have 4 balloons blown up is crazy. We left everything at the counter and walked out. We will NEVER go back to your under stocked, overpriced store. Its not worth the drive and time. The male cashier would might have been a manager could really care-less about what we needed. Very poor customer service.You guys claim to have all our party supply needs....not even close. Not only that but a pack of 50 small plastic plates for $8.99 is insane. They had no design or words on them....just plain plates.

Tried calling for 2 hours to order balloons but the phone was busy. I called another location and was told that they are too busy to take calls for orders. To me thats just awful!!! I was told I could not order balloons Tues to pick up Friday because of the helium shortage but the rep said I could come Friday to purchase only 5 filled balloons. I show up Friday to purchase and they are out of helium. Then Fri I purchase balloons themselves anyway to fill somewhere else with a helium charge and I tell the rep 4 times what colors do you have in the number 6? she literally went to look and came back three times to have me repeat the question and the fourth time she comes back she literally asks you want an actual 6 balloon ? pure stupidity, lack of communication to customers, and bad service.

Always too busy to take orders. Went there in person and employees looked bored, there were only 2 other customers. They dont listen. A 12 balloon with Helium is $1.29. A 24 balloon with Helium is $5.29. So double the size, more than four times the price. Get your stuff somewhere else.
