They assisted with a multiple option approach at repairing the transmission. Didnt believe the entire transmission needed rebuilt and suggested repairing the torque converter, however they were up front and communicated additional steps and fees(along with credits from current repair payment) if this doesnt solve my vehicles issues. Overall it was a great experience.

AMAZING work and service at (Olathe Transmission Service). I got a Subaru STI that needed a new clutch and I went ahead and upgraded the whole kit (ACT kit- pressure plate/throwout bearing/light weight flywheel). Jason, Paul and the guys at the shop did an incredible job of removing/installing it. They even flush my old transmission and differential fluid out and replace with new oil I brought in free of charge.The price for the new clutch install was very reasonable. Jason told me that if I drop my car off early Monday morning they would finish it up the very next day (Tuesday). I did exactly that and he kept his words, he called me (1:30pm-Tuesday afternoon) and said the car was done and I can pick it up anytime. Jason and his team are incredibly good, honest and reliable. Everything exceeded my expectations!!! Thank you very much guys for your professionalism and the great work, you got me as a customer for life. I definitely recommend everyone the expertise of Jason & everyone at (Olathe Transmission Service), your car will be in great hands.

Had the best experience with Olathe Transmission! Jason got me in quickly and was completely honest with what he needed to do to get my car back up and running. The dealership told me I needed to replace the whole transmission at a whooping $5700, turns out I only needed to replace part of the transmission for just $1500. Highly recommended them for any of your transmission needs.

Price was reasonable for the part we had replaced and so far so good. Transmission issues seem mysterious to me, so were keeping our fingers crossed its fixed.

I own my own business and we have a 2015 Ford F-350 Superduty for hauling and removing debris. The transmission fluid temperature gauge went very high with no warning. I was in the middle of a job and needed to verify if the temperature was valid or an indicator issue. After calling several transmission repair shops to no avail, this shop told me that they could do a quick check on it. I stopped in a few minutes later and the boss hooked up his computer real quick and ran a diagnostic (the hookup fee at a dealership alone is $125) He then took a laser pyrometer (fancy thermostat) and checked all the temperatures locally for the transmission. It was clearly an indicator issue, and nothing was wrong with the transmission. He shook my hand and told me I had nothing to worry about. I offered to pay for the services and he told me not to worry, and added that I looked stressed out enough. I cannot possibly say enough good about the employees from that day or the business itself. If you are looking for an honest shop who does awesome work, dont look any further. I use Olathe Transmission for both of my cars. Dont let the name Olathe Transmission fool you. While they specialize in rebuilding or installing new transmissions, they are full service auto mechanic!I dont ever take the time to review any business, but I felt it was warranted. A special shout out to Jason, he is great to work with. There is another guy who answers the phone sometimes (dont know his name).who is pleasant to work with as wellI plan on bringing in my Yukon Denali Friday for more work . I highly recommend Olathe Transmission to anyone and will continue to refer them to friends who need car repairs. I am so thankful someone referred them to me over 2 years ago. Moving from out of state, it is hard to find honest mechanics.

I just had a transmission installed with this shop. I have nothing but positives just like everyone else. After my transmission was installed my engine light came back on. Jason ran a diagnostic and it had nothing to do with the work just completed. I think they had me back in my car in 3 days. I had a funny intereact with a guy and I asked if Jason was the owner because I wanted to tell Jason thanks for being helpful. The guy I was talking with identified himself as the owner and he was pretty nice as well. Id recommend these guys.

Jason at Olathe Transmission is a great mechanic and all of the team are awesome people, took my outlander in because it had some white smoke from the exhaust thought it was a head gasket but after he drove it and did a compression test. I found out it was not a head gasket and also I drove it home it does not smoke anymore or have any hesitation. Thank you to Jason and everyone there my first time going their and I will be going their from now on they are honest and fair.

I brought my 2011 Toyota Highlander in for what I thought was going to be bearing replacements and an o2 sensor replacement. Instead Jason informed me my bearings were just fine and remedied the problem with smaller fixes, saving me quite a repair bill. He couldve replaced them and the smaller repair, charged me for the service and I wouldve never known different. His honesty and integrity was extremely appreciated. He even gave me a better understanding what to watch for should the second o2 sensor go out and what to look for.Read the other reviews and youll see the same thing- He and his team work by the Golden Rule. And that is why Ill be a customer for life.

This was the best customer service Ive ever received! I took my wifes car to Olathe Transmission for acceleration problems. They figured out that the transmission was slipping and that there was still a manufacturers warranty on the transmission. They helped me get the car to a dealership to make a warranty claim, as well as helped me keep pressure on the dealer who was trying to talk his way out of it. These guys went out of their way to be honest and helpful. I definitely recommend Olathe Transmission!

Heres how good these guys are. My Ford Escape was originally at well-known Ford dealer for a suspected transmission problem. They diagnosed a failed transmission pump and recommended a *NEW TRANSMISSION.* Because my extended warranty would have required them to do a repair a particular way that they would not do, I moved the vehicle to Olathe Transmission on the recommendation of a family member who is a mechanic. Olathe Transmission road tested my vehicle and determined it might instead be a BRAKE problem. A test in the shop confirmed their road test diagnosis. Difference in price for the repair? Probably about $3,500-$4,000. The guys at Olathe Transmission could easily have said, Yep, its your transmission and done that work for a lot more money, but they did what was right and saved me and my warranty company thousands instead. This shows they have integrity. If I ever have what I think is a transmission problem, I wont go anywhere else.

These guys are always spot on, take time to explain things to you and are excellent at fielding questions and letting you know whats going on with your vehicle. I work at a shop that does not do internal transmission work and I refer everyone I can here for transmission repair and have never had a customer come back and say they were dissatisfied with this shop.

I own a 96 Ford Ranger. Anyone who owns one of these engineering marvels knows that Ford made these trucks incredibly hard to work on but fun to love. I knew when I took the truck in for a new clutch that the hydraulics on this truck were a bear to work on. I called around for pricing and Olathe Transmission was the most reasonable bid for a new clutch. When I brought it in the guys knew the challenges ahead. I had the truck back within a few days. I was told to drive it over the weekend and make sure everything worked ok. By Monday I took the truck in for the system to be re-bled because the pedal did not feel right yet. After a re-bleed the clutch works perfect. They even located the misplaced rubber access plug on the side of the transmission and replaced it. No shop handles EVERY situation with perfection. I have quit looking for that shop. Instead I am looking for a shop that is honest, addresses concerns and is willing to make sure the customer is satisfied. The mechanics at Olathe Transmission are polite, responsive, knowledgeable, and keep a clean shop. These are the kind of guys you see out at the grocery or at dinner in the community, they want to take care of their customers because they are their neighbors also. Give them a chance. This shop has my future business.

I took my car here to be repaired and they dealt with my waranty company so that i wouldnt have to. Less than two weeks after getting my car back it broke down due to a faulty part. They took the car back and even gave me a loaner car to drive while they fixed it again at no cost to me. Good people, good service.

I took my Chevy Trailblazer to Olathe Transmission to get a second opinion for some work to be done. A different shop who Id used before, had told me that I needed my transmission rebuilt and it would cost $3,000. I couldnt believe the great news when Paul called to tell me that he didnt see anything wrong with the transmission. He told me that I only needed new spark plugs and some other minor parts for a cost of $300.00!!!Ive been driving the car a week and everything is working fine. Its feels great when you find an honest car repair shop that doesnt try to sell you on expensive services that you dont need and gets your car fixed for a great price.

Took my 2005 Envoy in as I lost 2nd and 4th gear completely one morning. They came in at the best price and had my SUV fixed in literally 1.5 days! They offer a great warranty and very honest as I thought it was a 2/4 band but they actually showed me the part that was worn out. I would highly recommend them!
