We paid this shop $3,925.18 back on August 16 to repair the transmission on our sons car. We were told the part might not arrive until September but, after weighing all our options, we felt we had to go ahead with the repair.It is now NOVEMBER 4 and we are still waiting. Its been two and a half months! We keep calling and keep being told that the part isnt in yet. (Actually, we were first told that they ordered one part and that part got sent to someone else so then they ordered 15 of them.)My son is able to drive the car while were waiting but he can only drive short distances. Since we live over an hour away and our sons son lives two hours away, this has been very inconvenient.We have been told that it is a supply chain problem. But its just not right that they have our money and they arent communicating with us at all (unless we call them and then they get defensive.)We would appreciate it if someone in charge could give us a call and tell us whats going on and talk with us so we could explore any options that might exist.

Transmission in our Ford Focus went out. Called several shops in town to get quotes. AAMCO was up front with costs and options to address our issues. I was getting my transmission fluid changed and getting a new filter and was running on a very tight schedule due to Doctors appointment. Jeff said that he would have me in and out within 90 minutes. Jeff and his team fulfilled the commitment, During my visit, I had the opportunity to talk to Jeff about the quality of the transmissions in my make of truck. I had been told by other businesses that I was going to need a transmission soon. When I asked Jeff about the price of a transmission. instead of taking advantage of my ignorance and selling me something that I didnt need, Jeff told me that the transmissions in my make of truck were high quality units and that very seldom did he have to replace one. The icing on the cake was Jeff charged me $175 for the service that Burnett Automotive quoted me $437 on. I would highly recommend Jeff and his team if you are looking for quality, value, and honesty

Jeff, Greg, and Jacob at front desk are professional and knowledgeable with diagnosing repairs/maintenance needed. Office is always neat and clean. Planned a Christmas road trip, and wouldn’t you know it...a headlight AND blinker go out the night prior. Not being completely handy under the hood, I started to call places to see if the could assist. No, no, no...we’re the answers I kept getting...until I contacted AAMCO Transmissions in Olathe (after hours by leaving a VM).Would you believe they sent a text reply, confirming they have me on the road with new lights installed by 10am!!!They promised and delivered, and I could not have been anymore pleased. Transmission went out in my car. Called around a few places and aamco had the best value. I dealt with jeff and he was very friendly and knew his stuff. They had it for a few days just like he said picked it up and it runs and drives very well. Would highly recommend them with your cars needs.

Best first experience ever! I was referred to this mechanic shop by someone who pays cash for junk cars. My car was at another mechanic shop that wanted to charge me almost $800 to repair the issue to make it run again. I contacted this shop and they said they were willing to look over the car for free since they could not make a definite diagnosis from the notes I sent from other dealership to help me out and can probably fix it for less and also offer financing. I had my car towed to their shop and they looked over EVERYTHING to tell me if it was worth fixing the car or just junking it seeing as I was not going to get much for it in good shape anyways. They were able to fix the original radiator issue for a couple hundred dollars cheaper than the other place was going to charge me and then they also told me everything else that was needing to be fixed or repaired soon and how much it would cost. These people have been very helpful and understanding because it was a hot mess to get the car there in the first place (thanks to a towing company from my insurance and other mechanic shop) and very patient. I decided to junk the car and am buying a new one and will be bringing it to this shop to have everything looked over after driving off the lot and from now on this place will be our go to mechanics. I am glad I was referred to them. They gave me their time and expertise with nothing in return (well they did gain another new satisfied customer!) P.S. absolutely NO attitude from any of the staff whatsoever either.

I have used these guys several times. They do a great job. I took my car in earlier this week and, of course, they didnt hear the sound it was making. They told me that if I still heard it after they made a minor adjustment, come get them and they would ride with me so they could hear it. They didnt charge me for their time. Its stuff like this that makes me use them exclusively.

I recently bought a van with the intent to take a road trip around America with my Saint Bernard, Titan. I brought my van to AAMCO for a service and flush of the transmission. Dropping the van off on Monday, I told them I was leaving in a week and my intention to take the van to Bretts after for other services needing to be done. I was called every day with an excuse for something. They replaced two sensors on the first day and a fuse on the second. On Wednesday morning, they told me they would start the service and flush and I could pick it up by the end of the day. Getting a call at 3pm, they stated their only XL lift was being used and asked if they could keep it another day. We made arrangements for it to be done by 10am on Thursday so I could get the van to Bretts for the other services. I received a call on Thursday at 9:48am explaining that my van will not start and it was flooded, therefore they cant get it on the lift. (It was suppose to be ready to be picked up at this time, not start with the flush at this time.) They offered to take the van over to Bretts when it started. Upset at this point, I agreed and went to work. Bretts gave me a heads up they hadnt seen the van at 12:45pm. I drove straight to AAMCO.I walked into the lobby to the two mechanics sitting in chairs talking. I was told they went ahead with the service and flush and then was going to take it to Bretts. (NOT what we agreed upon!) The mechanic (still sitting in a chair) says he still has to put fluid in and drive it which it would be another 30 minutes!! I said I would wait for my van at this point cause I felt like I would never get it if I left and came back! They made me pay for the service and flush although I told them to take it to Bretts, Not do the service and flush.Very upset with this place and do not recommend taking your vehicle here!! Unprofessional and not worth the time, stress and money!

Jeff at AAMCO has provided fantastic customer service. They even gave me a lift home when it turned out that the part wouldnt arrive til the next day. They have worked on all our cars providing free diagnostics each time so we knew what we would be able to fix when. Very straight forward and even when we were car shopping Jeff would give advice when we would call. We dont plan on going any where else.

The staff and management that I have dealt with were knowledgeable, honest and seemed to genuinely care about my car and me. This place is great. they fix all car issues, not just transmissions. The prices are very fair and the quality of work is outstanding. The managers are extremely nice and very good, honest people. This is the kind of auto repair place everyone hopes to find. They have done work on both mine and my wifes car and I will never use anyone else but them for all my auto care. I am a young college student, paying for school and pretty dependent on my car to commute to classes, so finding out I had to replace my transmission was a HUGE stress. Not only did my car get repaired in a timely manner but they made It affordable for me to do on my own. They worked with me to get me set up for differed payments so I have a whole year to pay for the work, and they even got me set up for a rebate of $200. Being a young woman I am always so skeptical of mechanics and the stereotype that comes to mind, but I have to say that I felt very taken care of. Everything was explained to me and my car is running better than it has in years. Thank you to all at the shop for making me feel like a priority (and for letting me play with your dog in the lobby).5/5 I highly recommend.

Jordan is very helpful and will show you what does or does not need fixed. They will also let you take your old parts home. Definitely recommend!

Had my vehicle towed expecting to be gouged on the price to have it rebuilt. Found out that a sensor was bad and they also recommended a fluid change. They also found a small leak in one of the transmission cooler hoses and were able to repair for me. Highly recommend Jeff and his team to be honest and give great advise.

My experience today was positive. They got my van right in, looked it over and diagnosed the issue and took care of it within an hour. The final cost was under what they quoted me. I was relieved.

My first time going to AAMCO was for brakes. It did not turn out how I expected and apparently not totally done. After I found this out I called. They now have a new, very experienced Manager, Roy McDaniel, that took care of everything! I recently had my oil changed at Aamco, I just moved to this area. I had a hard time finding someone trustworthy but I didnt even realize my brakes were completely gone from moving, Savannah notified me, gave me great pricing & got my vehicle back to me the SAME day. I will be back for any future repairs I may need.

I contacted Jeff after getting a unusually high estimate from another shop for wheel bearing replacement. He was incredibly helpful, and after a thorough examination, found the work needed to cost much less. He explained everything clearly, gave me options, and had the work done in half a day. Definitely will return & will suggest this place to others!

These guys are great!!!- I just call them and explain the problem and drop it off. They are always nice and take care of anything and everything- they are not just transmission guys. And if something doesnt need fixed- they tell you. The have worked on all my cars from Jeeps to Fords to Dodges and even an MG. Nice guys. The customer service I received during my experience with Jeff at AAMCO Transmissions in Olathe on Ridgeview Road was by far the most outstanding and generous I have ever received. He answered my call when my transmission went out late on a Sunday evening and never made me feel as though I was inconveniencing him. He was prompt in his assessment of my damages and provided me a quote with a clear understanding of what that quote was for.The most remarkable and generous part was when he felt they had made an error and didnt want that to reflect on his level of customer service and professionalism, he completed the repair at no charge to me. The transmission in my Ford Explorer went out just before Thanksgiving and I called several shops to get quotes and looked at reviews online. I spoke with James at AAMCO and got a good feel right away that they understood my issue, cared about getting my problem fixed AND their quote was also the lowest. Best of all they were able to get me right in and have it done over the holiday weekend which no one else could do. Even though they encountered more issues than they anticipated, they held to their quote which I really appreciated. Very positive experience and Im pretty hard to please. I will be returning here for other service in the future.

Our daughter bought a pickup truck from a small dealer in Lawrence. She had it looked at by another independent auto shop in Lawrence prior to the purchase which identified a few items to be addressed. The dealer referred us to AAMCO in Olathe (since that was close to where we lived). Jeff at AAMCO looked the Tacoma over and noticed a few other things that had not been noticed previously, like a missing stabilizer bar! Jeff took us out to the truck and made sure we could see each item that needed care and explained things very well. Though he did not charge anything for the very thorough check, Jeff at AAMCO won our trust for future work and referrals! Paid for a repair supposedly done per their diagnosis and discovered it left my car in the same condition, unresolved! They said something else must be done to fix it, but why did they take our money and send us off as if it was fixed in the first place?Did they not test it out to see that the problem was resolved? Diagnostic did not find and did not state this second issue. So, they do not seemed trustworthy, esp. after how they handled this!

Its really simple... I went in for an oil change and to have my vehicle examined/checked by someone independent of the dealership who sold me my sassy but suitable Chevrolet Equinox. I was prepared for the worst or at least a miscommunication of past issues explained to me at the time of purchase. Instead, I received an honest education on the topsy turvy world of used automobiles. The owner sat down and explained in detail that there are no guarantees with any purchase, new or used that something wont go wrong. He explained theres no way to predict if a belt is going to snap even though it showed no signs of being weak or that the engine is going to have issues two months down the road. All in all, do your research, have your vehicle inspected before purchase but above all, be mindful and excited but know issues may arise, doesnt mean the dealership purposely hid anything from you. I love my vehicle, its my favorite color and with Aamcos help, it should last a long time. An honest conversation, with an individual who will look you in the eyes, will always get five stars from me...love and enjoy your purchase, used or new. Its an expression of you and the result of hard work!
