Was with them for three years and everything went well. Quick install and removal. Never had glitches with the device. Can stay in car for calibrations. About as smooth as can be.

This is a very good provider! I just did a transfer to a new vehicle and he did a great job. I’m on my last 5 months after having one for almost 6 years. I know. I’m a good girl now!

Very friendly and super knowledgeable. I was hit by a semi and had to get my device reinstalled on a news vehicle and the man at this office was so kind and helpful throughout the whole process. Would be 5 stars, but my check engine light came on immediately after install and it’s a brand new car. Will need to check back in with this location when they open tomorrow.

Had a great experience. I dropped my vehicle off and was told it would take two hours. They called me after 90 minutes to inform me they were done. The tech walked me through the operation of the devise. He was very informative, answered all my questionsVery happy with the service

Switched from Intoxalock to Smart Start and am very pleased so far with the change/upgrade. I’ve had zero issues. Damian is very helpful, and will go above and beyond to make sure you completely understand everything about the device, he’s friendly and understanding unlike the folks at Intoxalock. I highly recommend Smart Start and wish I would’ve started here in the first place!!

I cannot find this place to save my life. Been driving around for like 30 minutes unable to get google maps to take me to where ever this place is. Tried calling the number only to get the national smart start interlock line. And with the stores being closed for 3 days, I guess I am just effed.

Update: 12/8/19This place is faster than any other Smart Start in the area! You get to stay in the car during the calibration, hand the blower, card and the cord and theyll get it done! They dont take cash anymore but Im fine with that. Damien and Brandon are very honest with everything and try to help with any issues. My clip on my cord broke, they replaced it for free, within 5mins. Amazing crew and location, their parking lot is so much better than their previous place. Also they have free coffee and some healthy snacks. This place is so much nicer than any other interlock company. My former provider had to mail my stuff in, these guys have the equipment on site to fix whatever needs to be done. Overall just an amazing experience.

First time customer, had trouble from the start. First of all, they didnt connect my battery to the interlock device correctly, causing my car not to start at all, and requiring me to get my car jumped frequently. I initially called Smart Start to have them look at the connection, and they came out, wanting to charge $50 because they didnt correctly wire the interlock to my battery. It was connected to the windshield wiper...causing my car to shut off every time I used my wipers. I had to buy a new battery even though there was nothing wrong with my battery because Smart Start claimed it was a problem with my battery, not with their installation. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone, seeing as how they dont even know how to install the dang thing. Took 3 techs to come out to realize they wired it wrong...and wanted to charge me each time to come out for their mistake. Had to dispute the charges! Eventually got a refund.

Smart Start has been nothing but a pain since the beginning. I have had their device in my car for about 18 months and have issues with it almost every month. When I need to give a test while driving, it frequently says Abort Tamper and wont let me blow. I constantly have to pull over, turn off the ignition and hope it lets me finish the test and doesnt count as a failure. For the high price of the service, you would expect better equipment.On the subject of failed tests, make sure you thoroughly read the service agreement, because they will not explain it to you and if you accidentally mess up you will be charged for it. I took my car into the dealership for regular maintenance, but was never told that I would need the mechanic to call in to get instructions on how to bypass the device. Thinking I was being responsible, I stayed at the dealership in order to blow into the device whenever they needed it. Apparently they let the car run, didnt hear the beeps and I accrued several rolling failures. Smart Start charged me an extra $50 for the violations on top of the normal service fee. I even had the receipt for the service as proof that the car was being serviced at the time of the failures. Not only would they not waive the fee, but the lady (Kayla, I believe) was very spiteful in telling me that it was in the service agreement. No one had ever mentioned this to me and I certainly didnt remember the fine print of an agreement I signed almost 2 years ago. It was her callousness in the matter that made me want to write a review to warn others of the predatory practices of this business. I strongly recommend using a different service, especially since there are cheaper options.Another problem Ive had with this business is that they frequently change their hours and days of operations at certain locations. I normally use the Kansas City, KS location, but in the time Ive been using them it has changed from being opened 5 days a week to closed altogether, open 1 day a week, back to 5 days, and most recently to only 3 days. There is no warning as to when it changes, and multiple times I have driven over on my lunch break to find out they are closed on a day they were previously open. It is incredibly inconvenient.The one positive thing I have to say is that all of the employees I have encountered in normal service (except the aforementioned Kayla) have been polite and provided quick service. They were all friendly and Ive never had to wait for more than a few minutes.

Brandon was A+. Shortly after my installation into my new car my blinkers and break lights stopped working. Thinking it had something to do with the installation I brought it back. Turns out one of my fuses was just loose. But Brandon took the time and patience to figure it out and fix the issue and made sure everything was working right before sending me on my way :))) thats above and beyond customer service, that I was impressed by. Thanks again brandon!!Edit. Okay. So I spoke way too soon. Lol. While Brandon was indeed awesome. My unit is no longer working. Called and they said it was my battery but when I charged my battery for over an hour it still wouldnt work. So I took it to AutoZone and they said that that it was a good battery with a 92% charge. But the unit was still dead. :( Hoping they can get it fixed tomorrow.
