Harder than normal to get help. Never have liked this place too much, and like it even less now. Did find some Lysol toilet bowl cleaner, 2-pack for $3.50. Pretty good deal that, still nobody to help me find what I went there for.

I want to give a compliment to Stephanie who works in the Customer Service counter at this Home Depot in south Olathe. I was very frustrated while trying to find a specific light bulb and per usual could not find someone to help me. Unfortunately, I had a melt down in the store and Stephanie came to me and helped me figure out what I needed. I think it is very important to give positive feedback when someone steps up when no one else will. Thank you, Stephanie. You are a good person.

Great store! I came in to get some lumber to repair my fence and the Employees were super helpful. Jake (Employee) was able to help me figure out exactly what I needed, and his charming and soothing voice also helped me fix my marriage! 5/5 would highly recommend this store!

I use the self-checkout and I was greeted right away and asked if I wanted to save some money by flying to the Home Depot credit card on my purchase today. I said I was going to be denied cuz I just applied and he still offered to give it to me which was extremely nice considering I didnt get it before. So save me fifty bucks. I had questions threats my shopping trip and is one employee answered all of them in detail and took the time to teach me about the product the different products that they may compared to

Typical big box hardware store experience. Lots of products, but individual help can be difficult to give it you need it. Website stock levels for this store are accurate for location, but a bit less for qty.

This Home Depot is as you would expect from a home Depot. Im not a fan of the location as the street are busy and just laid out awkward. Only shop during sales (which are frequent) on big ticket items. Great for small things around the house. Huge selection and usually have what you are looking for.

Stan in the rental department was absolutely fantastic. We were out of power and I had never rented a generator before and he walked me through all of the information I needed. Is a stressful situation for us but his thoroughness and professionalism were much appreciated.

Normally its a good home depot. Some materials were pretty thin. Also one older gentleman ( employee) was being snappy and rude to other employees.

It was a good experience with curbside pickup but their link to notify them that I was there wasnt working so I had to call. The woman that brought out my order was exceptional.

Had to get some custom order and installation from the Special Services department and they took care of me well. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The product item I needed was out of stock but they were able get the order online and set up installation as a bundle.

Deceptive marketing practices here.The online website clearly marks the product number and they won’t honor or match prices to the same product they have online. It’s another long line of gimmicks they don’t want the public to know about.

Had what I can in for and checked out fairly fast.

Most of the staff is actually helpful (as in, if they dont have the answers, theyll point you to someone who does), an improvement on the other one in Olathe. From what I can see, they still at least hold people to masks. Unfortunately, the hand sanitizing stations I saw were there but empty. If youre not going to try, at least take them down so larger carts can still make it through.

Lowe’s will always be better I’m sorry.

This store is not nearly as nice as other HD locations which I find disappointing. I find the products I need when I am looking for them so that is good. I find fault in the staff. It seems they are more concerned with replacing product on the shelves than the customers looking for the product. Additionally, the self-checkout is a façade. If you are going to have this, leave the customers alone unless you are needed/asked for. It is rude to assume a customer wants/needs help and just take over for them. So, if you are looming to be left alone while you shop but be bothered at the self-check, this store is great.

They generally have everything I need one stop shop for home repairs or home projects. Staff seems educated and helpful the stores just so huge that it wears me out walking all over it especially on concrete floors.

Its a smaller home depot and may not have all the things the larger stores do but it has enough, it might just be missing a few specialty items. The store is generally clean. Finding an associate for help is hit or miss, especially in certain areas of the store.

I went to this Home Depot tonight to purchase 144 12 x 12“ stone pavers for a patio that I am doing. When I go to customer service to pay, the gentleman asked me what color pavers I wanted and when he pulled up the colors on his computer there was a gray and there was a pewter so I asked him what the difference was and he said the pewter was a little bit darker so that is the one I went with. When I went into the garden center to locate my product I noticed that the pewter pavers were on a wrapped pallet at the very top. I went to a store associate for help and two men came over named Jake and Dustin. I pointed out the pewter at the very top that i needed and the employee named Jake very rudely said “ These gray ones on the bottom are the same as the pewter on top” ! I tried to explain to him that the gentleman who checked me out at customer service specifically asked me if I wanted the gray or the pewter which led me to believe they were two different colors. As I explained this to Jake he proceeded to argue with me. In my opinion he just didn’t want to have to go through the trouble of getting the pewter pallet off the top shelf. And he definitely wasn’t happy when he found out we weren’t buying a whole pallet because that would require help loading each individual paver into the back of our truck. The only thing that saved this whole shopping trip was the employee named Dustin. He was very polite and personable and had no problem helping my husband load 75 pavers into the back of our truck while Jake watched. There are some people who are not cut out for retail work and Jake clearly is one of them due to his attitude towards the paying customer. Unfortunately one employee like that makes a person not want to shop at that store ever again. So if you ever need anything in the garden center I would avoid this employee named Jake but if Dustin is there he would definitely be the one to help you.

No carts available as they were all loaded with online orders... had to go to the lot to find one to haul my door to the front... if this wasnt the only place within 100 miles that had my door I wouldnt have even stopped...definitely not going again

Stopped in for a couple things I needed for a job I was working. My only complaint is that I can never find wing boxes at home depot anymore. Otherwise they always have everything I need.

I had purchased a Husky Workbench for my husband for his birthday over the phone, to be picked up in person. When I arrived to pick up the workbench my expectation was that it would be in a box, loaded on a pallet and someone would lift it into my truck, hardly the case. They literally wheeled out (what looked like the floor model) and basically said, have a nice day. These workbenches are NOT light by ANY means. We had to actually ask someone if we were expected to lift it into the truck ourselves and they seemed surprised by the fact that we actually needed help! We had also inquired why I was receiving a floor model, in which their response was that the entire inventory had been taken out of the box and put together? It took about 45 minutes to actually track people down to help us load this workbench into the truck. I was appalled that we were expected to actually load this beast all by ourselves AND I am incredibly irritated that I spent (~$900), for what looks like a floor model that has been touched by other people, had a dent in the side AND because it wasnt on a box, on a pallet, when they loaded it with the fork lift it scratched up the side of it (so my husband received a gift that didnt look brand new). I sent a review to the store but obviously if you pay good money at their store, they dont care, because I have received ZERO response back. Needless to say, moving forward, I will be making purchases at a different home store as Home Depot has no regard for their customers and providing quality customer service. Pretty sad.

A great location for Home Depot. With Home Depot, you always know what you’re going to get. The help Can be spotty at most stores but the South Olathe location is pretty good in every department. Their tool rental area has most anything you would need for any project from a large landscaping or construction project, to a small tile job and everything in between. I just mark off a star because parking at this location is more than tricky, it’s a full on pain in the rump!

No one will help you in the kitchen appliance department, there was one person working there but he was very busy the entire time (he did nothing wrong) but you would think another associate would come out to help after standing around for an hour. I guess Ill order it online through A.I. update: I like the tech help option for online it was very helpful. I would advise going in the store to view what youre interested and just doing the process online...

Looking for a product. Stood in the middle of the aslie saying we cant find it and associate walk on by several times. Tell my mom spoke really loud cant anybody help. Finally someone did.

Store seems full to the brim of products. Went outside for landscape items and noticed stacks of Christmas tree boxes and the aisle lined with grills. There are plenty of Christmas items in the store as well, not to mention all the regular hardware store items. Found good options for everything I needed. Staff was courteous and helpful.

Said there was two people sleeping in the parking lot that didnt care for it as much and they could be coming too about now. They should have practiced social distancing. Lmfao

Always come here for my needs because they always have everything I need. The customer service is spectacular and the workers are the kindest and most helpful. Definitely the best hardware store out there and shout out to the best encounter with a worker, Aline Sanchez, every time she is at work she always has a smile on her face. It’s always just a pleasure walking through Home Depot and seeing all the friendly helpful workers. Never had a bad experience and hopefully never will.

Im not a fan of this store at all. Because of this store and their corporate office, we rarely shop at Home Depot anymore. Only if we cant find the product elsewhere.I had problems with two returns in this store in 2019. A $10 bag of lime that was damaged because they didnt properly tarp it to prevent water damage and a $80 bag of seed that failed to germinate properly (the bag is clearly listed as guaranteed and is listed under a 90 day return policy on the web page for the product). The charges had to be disputed with my credit card provider. Because of how Home Depot handled the transactions with my credit card provider, my credit card provider flagged the disputes as misrepresented by me and they closed my account. Because of how Home Depot handled the transactions, I ended up losing nearly $1000 in rewards money for the year.I addressed the problem with their store manager and their corporate office. I filed a BBB report. Their corporate office offered to directly refund the purchases to my credit card, but only if I signed an agreement to not litigate. It left me no other choice than to sign the agreement because I wanted the account reopened. In the end, the account didnt get reopened and I still lost my rewards money for the year.I ended up ordering full documentation of my dispute from my credit card provider, including the merchants response. I can see now why they made me sign a non litigate agreement. They implied in writing to my credit card provider that I made no attempt to return the items.Home Depot has no idea how much business they recently lost because of this behavior. We recently bought all new windows and didnt choose them for the purchase ($14k lost), we purchased about $1000 in new toilets in the last month, $300 in exhaust fans for the bathrooms (had Lowes price match them), as well as other purchases in the last year that add up to about $700.Good luck with your business model, Home Depot. I hope it was worth it over $90. . .

Bought a new propane grill already assembled spent quite a bit of money on it. The men that worked there did not want to lead it nor did they want to try. Had to rent a truck and even still they acted like they had never loaded anything in their life only to get it home and screws started falling out and the wheel fell off. Poor service very poor customer service.

Ordered some 2ft precut pipe online, order was ready in no time and accurate.

Great place to shop. They went the extra mile to help me with a hard to find light bulb. Staff offered to help me get my purchases to my vehicle. The place is clean and well organized. Have not had any long waits in line, either.

No drill bits over 1/2 inch and no 32nds or 64ths waste of time if you need bits for tapping... which they dont sell taps either...so doubly a waste of time.

I am looking for house numbers and this place several 4” numbers. I was looking for something larger but they did not have the number “1” in anything 5” or larger.I went to customer service to ask for help. The nice person in customer service called a employee to meet us at the “house numbers”. After a 5 minute wait in the isle waiting to meet this employee, we left with no house numbers. Reminds me of the good old says when the employees dang near ran away from the customers so they didn’t have to work at these places.

Home Depot has installed some safeguards to reduce interactions with some employees, but they have not addressed their store layout at all. This means that some aisles are very narrow. You cannot avoid close contact during this pandemic. Not recommended during high traffic times. On the other hand, you can do online ordering, that is helpful for some items. But as far as I can tell, you will need to enter the store for lumber or other building materials to pick good pieces from bad pieces.
