Very respectful company Mike and Shari are very helpful if they dont have what you need they try to find it for you. Not all gun stores have layaway they do so it helps if you dont have all the money up front. They have many hard to find guns and ammo stop in tell them Richie sent you help your local companies out. Dont shop the big box store shop family own stores. They also do gun repairs so stop in make new friends.
It has been brought to my attention that there are some negative reviews about our family store . I have read and reviewed most of them. Let me begin by saying don’t believe everything these people post they are full of fabrications of the truth . We went to great lengths to purchase inventory at a lot higher prices just to have inventory for or customers. Its amazing these individuals want a store to purchase inventory at a higher rate and sale it to them for less than we had to pay for it . Ridiculous we always try our best to be fare and honest with our customers and develop long term relationships
Found 3 guns that I was very interested in purchasing. While waiting for the man behind the counter to finish paperwork for another customer I was kicked out of the store by one of the other workers. All I was doing was looking around while waiting. Very shady place
Thought I would give his place a shot, visited business yesterday afternoon and when I walked in I was impressed by their store appearance, but don’t let that fool you. Man behind the counter was not very professional. Maybe he was having a bad day, seemed to be rushed. But not one customer in the building, but gave him the benefit of the doubt and asked if he had any ammo in a certain caliber and type. I was blown away when he showed me a box of 40 Caliber Smith & Wesson Range ammo (FMJ) in a quantity of 50 rounds. When he quoted $60 I almost fell over. I said, “ah no” then showed me a box of 20 hollow point protection ammo in the same caliber with the same price of $60. No wonder this business has such a bad Google Rating and no one was inside the store. I did notice the Mercedes Benz with the custom rims parked outside. This establishment has over inflated prices and I’ll never go back. I suggest Blue Collar Armory or H&H where their prices are fair for today’s market. I bought the same 40cal FMJ ammo at H&H for half the price, $30 plus tax.
BEWARE!!!!!! This company that I thought was a great gun store, helping people make their gun purchase through this time when everyone is buying is not what they seem. They have jacked up their prices, which isnt too big a deal as everyone has. Where I take serious issue is when I recently went in to sell them one of my guns worth over 500 all day long and they will sell it for 600. They had one in there so I know they would. Mine has the box, case and extra mag. They offered me 175. They are taking advantage of people through these times and I dont approve. Be aware before you buy or sell to them. Do your homework first or you will get screwed by them.
Great selection and even better customer service.
The dirtiest range I have ever been at. The prices of ammo are unreasonable. They have stacks of it for a reason. The good thing about Gun World is that when everyone else is totally out of guns and ammo, they will still have a supply.
On my first trip into this Gun Store. I put $125 on a $365 red dot scope. I later came in to ask if I could get out of this situationBlatantly told no . Nothing they can do.Choose who you spend your money with. This place is Greed.
Called ahead to verify they had a specific model rifle in stock. I was told they did and was even given a price. I went and stood in line for about an hour and once every other customer left they finally asked what I needed. I told him I called about the rifle and he said yes I remember your phone call. He proceeds to hand me a different rifle. I told him it wasnt what we talked about and he just said they are hard to order right now. I left empty handed. What a waste of my Saturday afternoon. I will never go back.
Wow walked in and was completely ignored. I looked at the prices of ammo and just laughed. They are like 4 times higher than anywhere else. Worst gun store I’ve ever walked in.
Way to expensive here. H&H is where you should go
Why too high takes advantage of people that doesnt no much about guns.Drum mag 76.2 ×39 he wanted $700A rested 30 round mag a $100 smhNever coming back
Went in there for 9mm and 5.56. Those people have doubled and tripled the price of ammo. I did not notice but probably the guns as well. I will never do business there again.Check with Big Boys thats in OKC right off of 152 toward Mustang. The have ammo trickle in and you have to be fast, but one box per customer (which is fair) and they KEEP THE PRICE THE SAME!! No price gouging.
This has to be the worst pricing Ive ever seen. I went to buy a ruger 57 down the street for $800 after tax. Gun world was selling the same gun for $1900 before tax. Even their used guns were very expensive. I recommend going to other gun shops and let gun world be your last option.
I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND this place to anyone looking to buy their first firearm or any fire arm for that matter literally will over charge the price from manufacturer and will say they will cut the price for you then tax you double for the firearm the CLAIM to work with you on so you pay the same as the price on the tag, luckily I didnt buy from them but not only that but it cant just be me they were on the phone with someone who caught that after they purchased a firearm from them they dont know that del citys tax rate is 4.5%or something because they tried charging 72 $ in tax for a firearm they said 850 on and realistically at 4.5%thats only 38$ in tax so it should have only been 888$ they tried selling for 927.... Dont get robbed blindly look into the place before buying
Way to overpriced. Looked at an AR10 for $2000. Place down the road had the same rifle for $600. Idk how this place is still open, they probably only make money from the range.
Decided to take my son to the range for the first time to begin some advaced skill practice. When I called ahead of time, they mentioned to me 18 dollars per lane up to 3 people. When we get there he takes one look at my son and says thatll be another 18 dollars...Hes 14!?I said to him you remember what you told me over the phone right he says yea but its different now..The vibe emphatically is this...I bring my own ammo because I already read the reviews.. 60 bucks for box of 20...sorry but if you know where to go, easily 35 for 50 rounds. They know this and BANK on you not knowing any better.....In our books, being a life long Patriot of many means, consider this type of dishonest behavior repulsive. Ive seen this type before and they do belong to a certain class.
Best place to buy from hands down. Went in to purchase a gun they didnt have in stock and Mike found one online for me and researched the info on it to make sure the seller was reputable. Will definitely be making future purchases with gun world!! Everyone was very nice and helpful
Jeffrey was super helpful and friendly!
Wow. Overpriced. On EVERTYTHING. Ammo... 4X regular price. More guns sitting there than anywhere in metro area. Looked down at a USED FN .45. “Oh that’s why there’s so many. $899 (that’s 2X MSRP for a new one). I could probably buy a car for the price of 3 guns in that place.
Extremely expensive gun store, selling mags for double what i found online, selling ammo for double then the army surplus down the road.
Extremely over priced! Ammo is extremely over priced. Avoid this place and take your money else where. Customers service Shady like used car salesmen.
Extremely overpriced ammo and weapons. They charge$22 per person where H&H charge $10. Don’t even bother.
This place is a total joke. Everything in the store is x2 or even x3 the price it should be. How or why does this place even exist? Please boycott this place. All i could think of is when Katrina hit and store owners sold cases of bottled water for $50 a pop. Like I said total joke.
Price gauging like no other. A 50 rd box of 38 spcl for almost $80 Should be illegal or at least morally wrong
These are just plain good people. Very friendly staff, knowledgeable, and ready to help. Not at anytime did I feel pressured to do anything. They were quick to introduce themselves, and when I told them my name, they always said it. When I left there, I felt as though we all had been friends for the last 20 years!!
Shop appears to be engaged in some less than ethical and possibly illegal activity. Id steer clear personally
Walked in as a first time buyer and fantastic treatment. Helped me pick out a good first gun and schooled me on everything I would need to know. Don’t be scared of all the reviews talking about price tags, they worked with me to save a couple hundred off my purchase. Compared to other stores I checked I definitely made a good choice. They have my business
Feels a bit shady. Not sure what’s going on.
Worst customer service Ive ever experienced ALL staff are rude and disrespectful. Paid a high deposit for a simple gun repair and the gunsmith on site stayed home for a week and will get to the repair when he feels like it. Management is even worse I will NEVER send anybody there and hope they close the doors for good!
Dirty place, aisles have products covered with dust. Once you see the over priced sticker you’ll understand why the stock isn’t moving. Reloading supplies were 2x and up retail price at any other store.
I will not return. I was lied to over something immaterial on a very small sale. It is simply a sign of a lack of character. I agree with other reviewers...prices are extremely high.
Terrible place to do business.I met with the black gentleman, and said can you run my background before I pay for a pistol? He assured me I wouldnt be denied since I dont have any felonies. Well I was. Over a technically even my lawyer couldnt understand. So I went to get a refund. They charged me 35% for a restocking fee. Clocked in at about $250.I hope this review drives people away from them. They are awful.
Went in to buy some 7.62x39 ammunition expecting the standard price, about 8.99-12.99 for boxes of 20 or 139.99-219.99 for bulk of 500-1000 rounds. The fat old guy who I assume is the owner marked the 20 round boxes up to 29.99 PER BOX and the bulk containers up to almost 399.99 PER CONTAINER OF 500! I have never seen a worse price on 7.62x39 in my life. Luckily one of his employees cut me a break and gave me a great deal after Fatboy went to the back. What kinda shop are you running when even your employees think youre a rip-off. Steer clear of this place and just go to Blue Haven or Kings because those guys always treat you right.
Purchased a new Charles Daly 12 gauge automatic shotgun there 3 weeks. Gun barrel already rusting in the first week I purchased it. Called to return the gun and he said no returns. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE.
Every firearms place in OKC is short on inventory except Gun World. They have a ton of guns and a ton of ammo because their prices are sky high. The staff is friendly and the lay of the store is impressive. The pricing is laughable. They had what I needed so.......
This place is an absolute joke. Their prices are literally double what any normal person would pay, even higher than retailer MSRP! I literally cannot fathom how they stay open, I’m guessing by first time impulse buyers or private collectors driven by the hunger of finishing a collection, regardless of price. I cannot wait for the day to see this place close for good.
If you love paying over price and calling to check to see if the firearm is in stock just to be disappointed and lied to then Gun World is where its at.
When we called to get the receipt for a gun we purchased. The manager Jeffery called my wife baby and darling several times after she asked him to call her maam or by her name. He is very rude and unprofessional the owner needs to know this is not exceptable. I will be talking to my attorney.
I bought a S&W 9mm from this place not knowing much about gun prices. I was pleased with the gun but after seeing a $125 mark-up from even the most expensive retailers, I felt a bit screwed. That is entirely on me but it should be known that the prices are extraordinarily high.
Very nice selection.
Wonderful customer service! Their prices are high, but they make up for it with good customer service. I use their gun range and was having trouble with my shots hitting to the right. Mike took the time to sit down with me and offered me several helpful tips to work on my accuracy. I will continue to use their range.
Price gouging charging $140 for 50 rounds of 9 mm ammo would not take them back so Ill give you store credit for what so you can gouge me some more prices very unfriendly the range of stinks dont go back
This place is price gouging, charging $25 for a 20 round box of 5.56 nato. I bought the same box of ammo at Academy the very same day for $9. The guy tried to tell me he has to buy his ammo from Amazon, which is a lie. You cannot purchase fire arms or ammunition from Amazon. This place doesnt deserve even 1 star.
This place is awesome!!!! My 1ST experience in a gun range and it was great!!! They even have a POPCORN🍿 machine. If you’re in Oklahoma this is a MUST the staff is friendly. The environment is a family/friend oriented. I can shoot like Wesley Gibson now😂.....
Called and asked for available stock on a particular weapon. Instead of putting me on hold and CHECKING. I was told just come in and see for yourself. So I drove from across town to find out that no one even checked the availability of the weapon. I understand being busy but I, being on the phone, can wait for you to check instead of wasting my time.
Best experience I’ve ever had at a gun shop.
Incredibly overpriced. Tried to sell me a Tapco sks mag for $39 used with no packaging. Showed him the retail price on any website which was $21 new and they wouldn’t budge on the price. I just wanted something quick right there, but ended up driving to academy instead to get the same thing brand new for $21.
I have mixed feelings about guns. I believe they are necessary for protection, and I believe they are good for hunting and for sports shooting. I even enjoy target shooting myself. But when people make these cheap little handguns that are only good for one thing, committing crime, it makes me wonder what this world is coming too. Do people really have no other desire than to make a buck? No matter who gets hurt?
Mike the owner is very nice and knowledgeable. Never had a bad experience there. May go shoot tomorrow afternoon. If you buy a firearm there, youll have a gun Smith with it. No one gets s five star.
Took my ar in to get a handguard put on. Told it would only take 40 minutes max to change. A week later I go up there to check on it. Haven’t heard from them. It was ready. Got charged for 2.5 hours of work to put a handguard on my ar. Picked it up and they lost my old parts and still trying to get them back. Won’t go back. Everything is over priced.
It was my first time stopping in at Gun World, they have a nice atmosphere with a great variety of guns and accessories! I believe it was Mike who assisted me and he was very helpful, knowledgeable.I highly recommend stopping in if you are in the market for a new firearm. I’ll be back!
The had ammo when other people didn’t, and good customer service
Horrible People. What are they doing in a Gunshop.Poor knowledge poor attitude
Selling ammo for 4x regular cost and guns at 2x regular cost instead of just limiting how much one person can buy
Went in here for the first time today. Give our ammo situation were in, he has alot of variety of everything. He has ALOT of ammo but the reason he has SO much is hes got it 44.99 for a 50 round box of WWB. Thats not supply & demand. Thats straight up price gouging. Will never go back.
Gunworld allows my 7 yr old to shoot. I consider them a family friendly range. I took my concealed class here a few years ago (maybe 3-5)and the instructor was very nice.Their prices are like every where else, some things high, some cheaper. but seems other reviews are over exaggerating. The staff was polite and seemed friendly. We will be returning. Thanks for allowing us to enjoy our family time!
Word to the wise; dont listen to the haters giving reviews. I have found Gun World to offer exceptional customer service during and after my pistol purchase. Listen, sure they may have higher prices on certain items, but they MORE than make up for that by offering (In my opinion) the best layaway program around. They are very flexible with down, monthly payments, and length to pay off... most gun stores around will offer a 90 day layaway... Gun World is the only gun store who will work with you, to get you into the gun of your dreams, and do so in a way that wont kill your budget monthly. Give them a try, I am sure the professional staff there will not let you down!
Not a good idea to buy from here...prices are significantly overpriced on pretty much everything. Staff is friendly but they just want a sale. If youre not researching and shopping around for the firearm/ammo youre looking for, then dont complain when they make a good deal of money on you.
Very friendly staff. Good for a chat or some quick gun fun. Range on site and great stock variety. If your near OKC and need a range, this is the place. Anything they dont have they will order for you ASAP
I was really cautious of this place due to the numerous negative reviews its received. There was a rifle I wanted that they were able to get for a good price. Not the best price available upon further searching, but a decent one. It did take quite a while to come in though, and with all of the no refund no product reviews Ive seen, but after some regular badgering it came in.Between a weapon purchase from the knowledgeable and respectful staff and some range experience, I have no qualms whatsoever with this place other than the delay in shipment.
Rude and impatient for just buying some ammunition. Would recommend going anywhere else.
I would highly recommend this place for all your gun needs. The people are very kind, helpful and knowledgeable. They have a great selection of quality guns and ammunition. Their expertise is reliable.
I would give less than 1 star if possible.Unbelievably rude staff and incredibly high prices. People, don’t go here!
Hey they have what you need in Ammo but the price is basically price gouging at it worst! 20 rounds of 9mm for 60 bucks is horrid! I only gave them 2 stars because they had it!
Nice people but guns, ammo and everything in this store is way overpriced.
I went to the gun range Saturday. Not believing the rating they receive . Found out they were absolutely true they charge 39.00 for 50 round when you can buy same round at academy for 14.00..the range was filthy . The staff has a nasty attitude . Would not go here for any reason .
Loved my shooting time at Gun world. I love buying there also. Mike, Sherry, and Jeffrey were Very helpful in all my many questions. Thank you.
This was by far my best experience shooting. I called beforehand to make sure my wife and I could bring both our sons (ages 10 and 5) I was told absolutely they have to learn to shoot somewhere, so why not here. We show up and immediately We are greeted by the entire staff as well as Mike the owner. We get geared up to go on and shoot and all of a sudden my youngest son decides it’s too loud for him. After hearing that Mike the owner takes it upon himself to babysit my 5 year old for over an hour. Exceptional service, great experience for my son. Will go nowhere else to shoot.
Great store with knowledgeable staff. Mike was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to help me. Good prices as well. Will be going back for any of my gun related needs.
Yes the prices are up there, but thats what I expected. I thought the staff was helpful even for helping a newbie like me to guns. They actually asked me if I needed help without having to ask them and instead of just letting me wander aimlessly. As I said they were helpful even for helping a noobie like me to guns.
Bought a gun from here for a great price. Got great service after sale.
Mike the owner helped me out a lot there was apart I was looking for that I didn’t want to order and wait on so he pulled one out of one of the guns he had on the shelf and sold me that one very helpful all around a great place to shop
The staff has always been nice. I go for the range. Have never had any problems
Mike has great customer service including him and his employees very trust worthy and helpful and for reviews that said he is over priced he has given me better deals than even what amazon has and they will guide you into what you should purchase and help you put what you need on your gun correctly it is the only gun store I will go to
Now I really like this place based on how helpful their staffs are, bt price range it’s just on the high side from ammo to accessories. So I have learned my lesson to look other options first either online or other gun shops around before buying from this place.
Worthless waste of time. Went to sell a 1975 Colt Cobra, second edition of the Cobra line. OWNER of the place tried to claim that the Colt Cobra was never made with an ejector rod shroud. I said yes it was, please go look it up. And he said I already did. The gun is in great shape with 95% blue left and only minor wear and he offered me $150 as his top dollar. They would have turned around and sold it for 400-600 dollars. Please go do a google image search for Colt Cobra and notice all the results with ejector shrouds. When I rebutted him on that he kept trying to claim it had defects that it didnt. Very dishonest and very shady. I WILL NEVER GO BACK.
Was hesitant to go here because of the negative reviews, however I was happily surprised. Very helpful and friendly staff. They even had a magazine for my handgun that I’d been unable to find anywhere online or locally. Only missing a star because they’re are pretty pricey. The magazine that I was looking for was priced at $26 everywhere else, but $45 here. Still got it because they had it, but still. Will definitely be back.
I went here for the first time seeking magazines for a newly released pistol. Almost nobody around had the pistol. I didnt expect anybody here to have all the answers but after talking we figured out what I needed and I placed an order and bought a couple other things as well. Nothing to complain about here, I think we all came away with a little more understanding and I will be back to try out their indoor range. Otherwise, they have a very large store with a ton of stuff. Prices seemed to be very typical of the area. If your looking for a rare piece or a piece thats in very high demand, expect to pay more.... Its really that simple.
This place is way too expensive on all fronts. Some ammunition was marked up nearly eight dollars higher than the surplus store up the street, exact same brand and type of ammo.Weapons are marked way up. You could go anywhere else and save hundreds.
Tried the range first and it was not busy and pretty laid back. Staff was very welcoming. However some of the equipment in the stalls/lanes was broken down and the brass buckets needed to be emptied. I tried to do a little shopping afterwards and was pointed in the direction of where I *might* find what I was looking for but received no further assistance. Everything is either in cases or behind the counter so that was not very helpful. All in all it was a mixed bag. Id consider going again at least for the range. Smaller than H&H by quite a bit so Id call ahead first if you need something specific.
Great place to have questions answered and they ask questions to better fit your needs. Mike doesn’t try to up sell stuff and is very knowledgeable in his trade and his wife is just as awesome....prices are fair and a lot of product is below internet pricing and if he doesn’t have it it will be ordered
Update: so after quite a while i went back. Mike the owner is nice, however the prices are insanely inflated to the point of Idiocracy. After 2 years or so not going in, much of the stock has not changed at all which is quite telling. I dont know how this place is still in business, but Ill go back after its under new management. Maybe.
Using pandemic to overprice items and no return policy even if items are unopened. Tried to sell competition ammo as home protection ammo. Thats why they have so much merchandise because its overpriced. Will never buy from them again.
Good selection of firearms, and the owner was extremely nice and helpful. Over all great experience would definitely recommend
Bought a Glock 22 .40 as first semi-auto pistol. Took my .357 in as a trade. Worked with me on a deal. Purchased a firearm through these guys, and Jefferey, I believe is his name, allowed me to use the range free of charge to fire my gun for the first time. I have lots of friends who have done plenty of business here previously in the years. Nothing but solid reputation. Highly recommend these guys. Id even drive across town to shoot here above anybody else.!!
Excellent service and great prices.
I bought my Savage hunting rifle from them 3 years ago and yes I paid a little bit more but they got me a left-handed firing rifle when nobody else would and twice Ive had it adjusted and they did it for no charge under their warranty I use the range pretty regular because its nice and I can get it in whenever I want. Yes there ammo was a little overpriced so I buy mine elsewhere and bring it with me. No real problem there the staff is always been courteous and very professional with me I bought a Bersa Thunder 380 from them and even had them order me a second magazine which was kind of expensive but for a 16 round magazine it wasnt too bad. They are usually willing to discuss price with you on their guns you just have to talk with him about it of course if youre going to go in there and pay their sticker on it and not say a word then yes theyre going to take the money but if you want to talk them down they will discuss it and negotiate with you. Seems way too many people are talking how bad the prices are but to be honest theyre really not that much more than anywhere else and the service and warranty they give me makes it well worth the cost.
Just a terrible place. People are absolutely the rudest people Ive ever meet and they act like they know everything. Guy told me that a 44 and 357 where interchangeable in the same revolver and when I told him that wasnt true he said Oh yes it is Ive done it before
Very pleasant experience here. Customer service was great!!! All the reviews I read on here almost made me not even bother to stop in, but after visiting H&H Shooting sports and Cabelas and not being very pleased with the prices or selection on a Taurus Judge I decided to call Gunworld anyway just to see. To my surprise they had a great selection and beat all the other prices I’ve found including all the internet gun exchange price. I ended up going with a used(barely) Judge Public Defender and a box of .45 Colt ammo. He then threw in 2 boxes of 410 ammo for free. Couldn’t be any happier with this place and Mike the owner. Very happy customer!!!
Jeff helped me and he was a fairly nice guy, the shops does charge a little more than their counterparts though. Nice shop anyways good experience
Rude and dismissive over the phone, and tried to sell me sig v crowns for 55 dollars. Will never go back.
This place is over priced and the employees will lie to your face. On a whim I stopped by the store and as I browsing the store, I ask one of the clerks if they carried Howa brand rifle and was told no when asked why they told me it was because that brand was known for firing pin problems. Ive been researching this brand for several days and hadnt heard of any issues with their firing pins. After I got home I did some more researching for that issue, and other then some one off I didnt find any such known issue. I will not be going back to that store ever.
Very nice place very nice people mike was very helpful and funny they got my gun switched over to my name and have very nice inventory will definitely be getting my guns here
I guarantee every 5 star review is paid for.
New resident of Oklahoma from Missouri. Was expecting to find very similar prices and competent/ friendly staff that I always have in Missouri since we share many similar gun rights/laws, but was completely taken aback by the profoundly outrageous prices and staff that really couldnt care any less about you as a customer. Stay far, far away. The best thing would be for this place to shutter up forever and stop perpetrating their filth on the OKC metro community.
I was excited to see a gun store and range opening so close to my house when Gun World first opened. that was soon crushed by their prices (30-50% over what you will pay retail anywhere else in the city on average), the consistent lack of knowledge displayed by the staff, and they act like it is a privilege for you to be their customer not the other way around as it should be. . I have stopped in from time to time over the years and nothing has changed. Unqualified, uneducated staff, insane pricing, and rude careless employees. It has been that was since they opened their doors and hasnt gotten any better over time. The only way I figure they stay in business is if the store is a front for laundering money or something.
Never bought anything from them because of price but the people there seemed really nice I dont know about knowledgeable. Word to the wise if they still have the no phones rule dont bother because they know they are over priced and dont want you to look at competitors.
Great friendly people very helpful I recommend gunworld out of all the places Ive purchased guns from hands down there the best
