I found some lovely fresh flowers and was able to get a discount, which helps a lot, and some extremely desirable pieces of cake. I had quite a variety to choose from. Seriously, what can you get for a culinary chef who studied in Paris? I am grateful to be able to afford the couple of purchases I made.

The store is lovely and has a great variety of options. I’ve had two poor experiences trying to get a cake ordered from the bakery. First time was four weeks ago, I asked for a cake 3 1/2 days in advance. I just wanted a simple 8 inch chocolate cake. I went to the bakery and asked if I could have a cake for the day I wanted and they said they could not make one for me. I went ahead and put an online order in as soon as I walked back out to my car. No one called me to confirm or deny the order, so I called the bakery the next day. The lady I spoke to said they had it on their schedule. She also stated that it was not a problem and that I had requested the order with more than enough time. I was very confused as to why the first person had said it was not possible, and the second said it was not a problem at all. The cake was delicious, and I’m thankful it worked out. I wasn’t going to write a review about my one poor experience, but now I’ve had two of them. I requested another cake online early this morning with a 48 hour notice. Once again, no one called to confirm it or deny it. I called this afternoon to confirm the order. The lady who answered said it was not possible for my requested time. I asked if they could check my order request in the system and see if it was officially confirmed or denied by the head baker. The lady would not check and did not even ask for my name. She told me the head baker always looks through the orders and calls people to confirm. I let her know that this was not been the case a few weeks ago and asked her again to check the system. She would not. I understand if Uptown is not able to make the cake, but speaking with someone who would not comply with my request to confirm/deny it officially was frustrating. For this bakery, it all seems to rest on who you speak with.

I moved to Oklahoma City in May of 2020 and Ive been looking for a really great grocery store. The grocery stores in this city are really different than other places Ive lived and I needed a store where I could find shallots, a variety of mushrooms and other random more fancy ingredients. Uptown has it all!Although they do carry all the fancier ingredients the pantry section is full of your standards. I can literally get everything on my list when I shop at Uptown.The bakery section is extensive with robust ordering options and beautiful and delicious confections. The prepared foods section reminded me of whole foods with all the options of salads, entrees and sides. I wanted to try everything!The store is really large and has such a great selection of everything you want in a grocery store! Its well maintained and has really reasonable price points. I only wish it was 5 minutes from my house instead of 30! :)

Prices are higher then most around for same product, staff is great, clean clean clean. Great awesome food places inside with tons of home made food to go around! Really pleasant environment.

I spent 30 minutes searching for popcorn. The signage is INCORRECT. I asked a cashier & another worker & they directed me to the signage. NOT the cashiers fault. Requested to speak with a manager. Manager was a white woman who was disinterested and said yeah we are working on the signs and then passed the buck to say I will let Brad know. Should be noted most of cashiers are black & I saw NO black managers. Needs to change. Do better Uptown. Take care of your employees. They are your best asset. Every employee was kind & helpful. Cant say the same for the manager.

I love this grocery except the produce. Absolutely terrible. Was in there yesterday and found moldy grapefruit. Produce is the only thing I have to go elsewhere for. Hire a new produce team cause the produce dept might look pretty but the fruit is trash!

Better than whole foods, sprouts, or trader Joes any day of the week! Try the sushi, better than a lot of restaurants. Had food here that I havent had since living on the northeast coast. Always a great visit.

Amazing sushi, great prices, a lot of different produce and meats. Their deli and side areas like the bakery, pizza place, and hot foods are always delicious and fresh. Ive never had a problem with the place except that I never have enough basket room or kitchen space for all the great deals and food I get from there!

When I got to the checkout, I realized I forgot my wallet. The cashier was so nice about it and offered to hold my items since I live so close. I came right back, and she already had the groceries bagged and scanned; she only had to scan the receipt for me to pay. I really appreciate how easy it was! Plus I love the selection at this store, especially the amazing bakery.

I dont shop here often but I enjoy seeing whats new each time I come. I like that I sometimes find stuff here that I dont see in other grocery stores. Plus I think they have the best bakery in the grocery store category.

The store HAD the best sushi, now they changed their sushi to a looks like prepackaged from some cheap gas station, it’s not the same anymore, different ingredients, taste bad eww, not going to shop there anymore.

I love Uptown! Everyone is always very, very friendly and they have an incredible ready-to-go selection of food. Their sushi is great, and I love that they will cook your meat for you with no charge. Their bakery has so many cute desserts. They are a little overpriced sometimes when it comes to produce, especially organic, but you can find good deals if you wait for them to come around. They have a great fresh-pressed juice selection, as well!

I always come to uptown to grocery shop because of their meats. Came in today and the didnt have the filet butts I always buy. Was told corporate would not order them because if they did, they would only make a 25% profit. Guess they dont care about the basket of groceries I already had! I left it right in front of the meat department. If they are more worried about profit on one product, they can lose the profits on the basket full I had as well. All these years I thought they were different and cared about their customers!

Went there for my Birthday. I thought getting older was going to be the worst part of my day that August 22nd. BUT NO UPTOWN made sure I got really disappointed.Bakery was stocked with the driest oldest cakes and eclairs and even the cupcakes we tossed in the trash.We probably spent between $40 to $50 plus more. And of course no one from the bakery was there to help us. We basically had to do it ourselves.One nice man from maybe the meat or the stockroom did try though. Sad but I had to comfort him instead of the other way around.😡😠😤 Did I mention it was my 🎂🥳🎉🎈 lol

Just wow! I went into the store and possibly interrupted a very important meeting of execs. They overheard me asking about sea moss gel. Each one of them immediately became attentive to me. I felt like a celebrity! They looked and looked. We couldnt find it. I was still so happy with my experience. They just became my new store! I know I wont get experience every time, but you can tell its just a different kind of place.

I visited for the first time since the change of ownership. Employees were not wearing masks and super irritable, and there is no wine or beer. This store used to be my go-to stop for entertaining (grab a tart or a cake from the wonderful bakery, some fresh fruit, a few cheeses from the amazing selection, and a few bottles of good affordable wine). Its not an option anymore. The new owners are from southeast OK, I think? I dont believe they understand what urban shoppers want at all. I wont be back.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff were very willing to help. Produce and meat had great diverse selections. Bakery section has very tasty and well made desserts. Plus, no one else in town carries my favorite brand of energy drinks.

Talk about cleanliness its here. This place is s so clean you can eat off of their floor. The employees are wonderful people. Always smiling or laughing and just eagerly awaiting to help you with what your looking for. As for their customer service dept. They truly are amazing! They are under a lot of stress and pressure but they still do an excellent job of maintaining a smile; descalating tense situations and giving their customer their undivided attention so that together they will find the right solution to their problem. The be Customer Service Team at this location ROCKS!

Its a lovely store to shop in. Feels spacious but is set up so that you meander through produce and the prepared food section very much like what we used to experience with Wegmans in Upstate, NY. It feels clean but the organic produce section is very small which is the only reason I have given it 4 stars instead of 5.

Iittle higher than nearby homeland and they carry the same brands, they do however have other things that other stores dont and they are very clean and neat which I do appreciate in a store

Update... finally made our way back to this location. Still love this store. From the florist, bakery and deli are all equally fantastic. Can not wait to be in the area again soon.We absolutely love this store!! We finally got the chance to buy our meat from the butcher and have it cooked for us at their grill. Their grill master was Amanda. She was fabulous. We had a prime filet and a prime ribeye. She suggest the Chicago seasoning. Perfect meal!!

Lots of choices and good prices fast service well lit. Parking and traffic on May Avenue is a bit difficult.

Uptown Groceries was great! I got some potato soup and I couldnt find the lids. This nice person helped me and gave a paper towel to wipe the soup off. I found all the Groceries I was wanting!

Contrary to what Google indicates, masks are not required of customers, most employees are not masked, they are not disinfecting surfaces between customers, and there is no effort at, guidance on, or enforcement of social distancing (one way traffic in aisles, signage or markings indicating expected spacing in lines, etc.). This is what kept my review from being higher, as Oklahoma is still deep in the throes of the pandemic, among the worst 10 states in the country.The bakery/pastry/in house confections as well as the deli/prepared foods area is fantastic, on average its of equal or greater quality than Whole Foods at a lower price. This, plus the excellent produce are the main draws here. They also clearly have great in house merchandisers/stockers because everything is always stacked/displayed in an aesthetically pleasing fashion.The meat department is good, but the prices tend high, and despite clearly large inventories they rarely have anything marked down because its approaching a best by date. I dont know if this is because they are actually turning inventory that quickly (which would be excellent), or if it is being redistributed to other concepts (as I suspect from merchandising design and layout that this concept belongs to same parent company as homeland, country mart, and others). Like the other concepts I mentioned above, overall prices trend slightly higher than say walmart or target on most things, but only slightly so and sales pull the prices back in line with others.I was confused by the lack of alcohol of any kind, as I hadnt been there for months and last time I was they had it. Apparently there is new ownership (so no longer owned by the homeland/country mart group). The new owners are bizarrely right wing oklahomans who dont believe alcohol should be available, despite the citizens state fighting for literal decades to bring our practices in line with the rest of the country/developed world (and still requiring a citizen initiative petition to accomplish it). So, if thats important to you on principle, or you dont want to make second stops for alcohol, you should probably skip this place.

This used to be a great grocery store but now under new ownership, the store has gone downhill. The big complaints I have are: (1) they no longer sell beer and wine (an absurdity in a high-end grocery store), and (2) their staff do not wear masks as is recommended under CDC guidance.

If your new to OKC and looking for a place to grocery shop this is your place. The only downside there are only two of these stores.

Today was my first time going to this store and let’s just say, I Love The Variety! The set up is so nice and it a little bit of everything one needs. However, I ran into the issue that the tortilla wraps I use were all expired as of yesterday. Check out was fast and friendly, however the baggers could definitely use some training on proper bagging. The gentleman who bagged for me literally threw every into one bag with chips on bottom, canned drink upside down on top of chips, tortillas folded in half, etc. Overall, a greats deserve clean place to shop with a few minor flaws.

I tell everyone if you want some great meat you have it. You have to pay more but its worth the price

Came here the other day to do some light shopping and pick up a build your own 6pack from the beer isle...well, cant do that anymore. Apparently there is a new owner and they decided to sell off and remove the entire beer isle to stack a bunch of water. Disappointed in that cause they had some beers other places dont.

Great service here at uptown. Needed eight balloons short notice for a photo shoot and they were able to accommodate.

Was here for a birthday party. The place is very bright and clean! It is tastefully decorated without looking cluttered or out of place. Whoever they hired to be interior designer did a wonderful job. Looks like they hire lots of young individuals, which is very notable.

Lots of items were missing from the shelves, i.e. bagged salad, bread, pasta, wine. Few lanes were open for checkout. I really like shopping here but this visit was strangely different than those before.

Professional staff. Clean store. Excellent place to shop and dine. Ive found my new place to shop.

The wonderful variety of food products here is such a relief. Oklahoma is no longer a food desert. Some items are a bit overpriced, and service could be friendlier.

Produce. The produce department looks like stock photography. It is fantastic. So many choices!

This place is great until you get cakes from the bakery! We have used this place for cakes at least 4 times and every time there seems to be an issue, you would think I would have learned by now. Whether it’s they don’t have the cake ready on time, forget to make the cake, or they don’t even get close to the cake you requested they seem to struggle every single time. For example, instead of using a coral color as requested they used neon pink... then proceed to tell us that they “did their best” but instead of maybe telling us before hand that they might not be able to make a cake anything close to what was requested they just wing it and then tell you when you pick the cake up. I guess you get what you pay for! I think this will be the last time we ever use the bakery. Don’t waste your time ordering any cakes from here!!

They have fresh meat dept. with seafood of all kinds, sushi, all kinds of fresh salads and a bakery. Fresh flowers and a long list of drinks to choose from. Something for even a picky eater. Tired from a long day working. They also have pizza and a hot food bar. Lots of food to take home and eat fresh.

Pruitt Foods, the new owner’s of the this grocery store, along with Buy For Less, no longer sell wine or beer in their stores. Also you guys should keep a bottle opener at the register, so I can actually drink the mineral water I wanted to buy.

Their bakery made an amazing wedding cake for us. It was a lemon cake with vanilla frosting - all of our guests loved it and it turned out beautifully. Their staff is very easy to work with!

This used to be my favorite store, but now they are mailing a weekly advertisement that is not recyclable or compostable and cant be opted out of because its sent to the whole neighborhood. Such a WASTE! I will be boycotting until the mailers stop.This is an awesome grocery store! They have fresh made food stands, a bakery, a deli, and a butcher with aged meats in house. Our favorite part is the fresh ground peanut butter! Always the first choice for groceries!

I think what stands out the most for this uptown for me personally is the deli. Some of the chicken salads are so yummy. I could also eat an entire container of their mild salsa in one sitting. Ive had some pretty tasty cakes from the bakery, but its important to get them the day theyre made. The loaves of bread are always great. The cheese selection is one of the best in town. The produce, meat and fish counter, and pizza counter are always spotless. Prior to COVID the same way with the buffet. Ive never not had a good experience there.

Poor service and incompetent staff. We ordered many party trays, dessert, cheese and antipasti platters, etc. and they failed to deliver more than half of what we ordered. No remedy was provided and our event had to be held without what we had paid for and what we should have had in our hands hours before it began.The food itself was done well, just don’t count on receiving all of it, or them caring whether or not you do.

Their cheese selection is amazing.Too bad they dont have any alcohol selections.
