Truly a high class establishment. I went in for a strange rattling noise under my car. The young man said he would drive and listen to it. He took it inside their facility and within 20 mins had it fixed, and then DID NOT CHARGE ME. So I bought one of their cool hats. He said it was an easy fix and would not charge. That is a high level of ethics and integrity from a repair shop. One month prior the Toyota dealership in Norman stated it would cost $1900 to fix. I will always refer anyone their, and will take all my vehicles there. Please if you want to be treated fairly and honestly, take your vehicle there. Truly a top notch business.

Best service and Certified Mechanics. Dallas and Joe are professional and very helpful. Their building is clean and has some great car memorabilia. Sometimes will have one or two show cars to look at too. Great atmosphere if need to wait for a few minutes or just ask if they have a loaner at no charge.

Absolutely 100% recommend this place to anyone! First off, they know what they are doing and they will fix your problem at a very fair price. Second, theyre very friendly and very fast. This shop always has classic cars sitting out front and has a classic car pictured on their web site. I called to get a water pump replaced on a 1970 Cutlass and I was told that they dont take cars that old. I said that I see classic cars there all the time. I was told that those are long time customers that dont get quotes. They just drop off their car and pay whatever the bill is. No problem. I will take my business somewhere else.

His prices are more than fair.UPDATE: I returned to Southside for and engine change in my 66 Impala. After Joe did such an awesome job on the control arm bushings/tie rods/ front and rear coil springs, I knew there was only one place to take my car. Again, my car was stubborn and Joe had to fight with it to get things set up right, but Joe got it done. The ol Sled has a new heart and I cant thank Joe enough for his hard work and dedication to his customers. Ive never in all my hot rod years (thats at least 30), had a garage that worked this hard to satisfy their customers, not only in the work, but the price as well. I never write reviews, but these guys are so exceptional, it’s the least I can do to show my appreciation! It is so hard to find truly honest, competent hard-working businesses like these people run anymore. We were told by a local Ford dealership that we needed a new engine amongst other things and we were completely devastated at the price we were quoted. We wanted a second opinion, so we brought our truck to Southside Garage. They performed a diagnostic for free (since it was under an hour) and the cost to fix everything wasnt even close to the high amount from the dealership. They took their time and made sure everything was done correctly. This truck drives better than it did when we bought it 4 years ago. Such amazing work these guys do! They have my business for LIFE!!

I took my wifes Kia forte 2014 to get the air compressor replaced - Joe told us that he would try to get it working for us. I came in knowing I was gonna spend over a grand to get it fixed. He came out letting us know that he was able to get it fixed without having to get it replaced and that it was just stuck in a different mode. Great people to deal with. I took my car to them because I thought my voltage regulator was going out. They looked at it and told me they would be stealing money from me if they changed the VR and there was nothing wrong with the car. They put it on the diagnostic machine and didnt charge me a dime. The next day, I brought my truck to them for wheel bearings replacement. They gave me a quote, but then told me that they could use parts from an alternative vendor. Long story short, the work costs $180 less than what they quoted me. Awesome shop! While I dont get my vehicles worked on very often, I will definitely come back.

I have nothing but great things to say about this shop. I have brought 3 vehicles there and always had great experiences. The guys are extremely knowledgeable, courteous and the prices are more than fair. A few days ago I had my truck towed there when it refused to start. It turns out I had run an accessory that drained the power away from the module that controls the security system and triggered the system. They ran the codes, charged the battery overnight and then worked on it the following morning, discovering the problem had basically fixed itself with the charge. I asked them what I owed them for their time. They told me it was no charge. I said that I felt like I owed them something, but Dallas told me he wouldnt feel comfortable charging me since he didnt feel like he actually fixed anything. These guys are total class act and have earned my business for the foreseeable future!

Even though their website states carburetor adjustment and rebuild under their services and their pictures include a bunch of old cars,, the receptionist and the mechanic I spoke to both stated that they do not in fact do carburetors

Dallas and Joe are awesome! They are always professional, courteous, and prompt. You can tell they take the time to make sure an issue is fixed correctly and not put a band aid on it. They are very fairly priced and are sure to explain fixes/costs before any work is done. I have dealt with many shops over the years (I have an 02 PT Cruiser, it can be high maintenance sometimes) and these guys are by far the best Ive ever dealt with.

Without a doubt the most positive experience Ive had with a mechanic. The work was finished quickly and for much less than I was quoted elsewhere. The best part of the experience was the customer service though. Offered to drive me back to my apartment in case I didnt have I ride, offered to set me up with a loner car free of charge, and gave me a voucher for free roadside assistance regardless of the issue. I will not be bringing my car anywhere else in the future.

Its hard to find a trustworthy mechanic who will shoot you straight and not try to oversell you. Dallas and Joe are some of the very best. Im not entirely sure how South Side Garage keeps receiving 5-star reviews, but let me share with you our experience. Upon our arrival, we were warmly greeted by the owner. After the initial inspection, we were told that our vehicle needed 3 parts replaced in order to stop an existing oil leak. After a mechanic performed all of the work, we took our vehicle back home only to realize that oil was still leaking.Once we realized the problem wasnt properly diagnosed on our first visit, we took our vehicle in a second time. After a second diagnosis, the owner told us that additional parts needed to be replaced. In hindsight, were now of the opinion that the 3 parts that were originally replaced never needed any form of replacing.To their credit, the owner took ownership of the situation by ensuring us that the problem would be fixed at no additional charge. However, we were sorely disappointed with the lack of professionalism associated with the work and diagnosis, even though they capitalize on being an ASE certified shop. Unfortunately, this will be the last time we do business with South Side Garage.11/14/2017 Response: Were well aware of the fact that you tried to contact us, but you were given 2 chances to properly resolve our initial oil leak. Unfortunately, you have lost our trust and faith in your business. When we flush out more than $600 of our hard-earned money in repairs only to find that the initial problem had never been fixed, then you lose credibility.

Never have I felt better about spending too much money (they are absolutely priced fairly, I just hate parting with money lol). They spent time diagnosing multiple issues for me but in the end they only charged me for the repair I had done. My Grand Cherokee is operating much smoother with new motor mounts and a fixed exhaust flange.

I really cant say enough good things about Southside Garage. Recently had some major work done on my truck and in typical SouthSide fashion, they exceeded my expectations in every way.

Dallas has worked on two of my vehicles now and has been upfront and honest told me exatly what needed done and the price upfront. He even went above an beyond to get me a part cheaper than the OEM when I didnt have enough for the OEM one. He got me up running and back on the road quickly two days for one car four for the other with the part issue, he even offered me a loaner car! This is how mechanics should be.

This is an absolutely fantastic place to bring your car... these guys were able to resolve a Subaru engine knock with a BG engine flush... I thought the engine was a goner but they seem to have brought it back to life for a more than reasonable price ... They are very honest and it is well worth it for me to do the one hour drive to have them service my vehicles... Joe and Dallas are a pleasure to deal with!

I had brought my Mercedes SL500 in for service . I was greeted by a very polite staff . They were transparent and upfront about what the cost would be and very professional from start to finish . I brought two cars to Southside garage (including one classic car). Im extremely happy with the work they did: everything was fixed right, and the prices are fair. You can tell that the owners love cars, especially older ones. Its hard to find guys you can trust with complicated problems, so Im really glad I went here.

I heard that they came under new ownership a few months ago and decided to check it out. I drive a Ford Focus and went in to get an oil change and thats exactly what I got! I normally go to the dealership to get it done all the way in Shawnee, but I hate going due to the fact they always try to up-sell me or sell me stuff I dont need. These guys were straightforward and didnt try to take advantage of my lack of car knowledge! Seems like its just two guys who love working on cars and helping people. Cant recommend them enough! Also, I thought it was rare for a small shop to have a loaner car so that was really nice since I was able to go get Starbucks while I was waiting. They are a new shop, but the owners seemed super knowledgeable and honest. All in all I am done driving to Shawnee for oil change, these are now my guys!
