I rarely have a problem with Gray Whale if I want something I can find it on the website and they dont have it in store theyll order it in usually from their store in Taylorsville.Its a happening little store Id recommend it highly.

Ive been coming here weekly for the better part of a year. Staff is super helpful with finding records Im looking for and keeping me up-to-date on records that are coming out that may interest me. I refuse to go anywhere else because of how great the staff is. Ethan and Gage are both super knowledgeable and helpful.

Would absolutely call them again - even from out of state.

Some records. Not well sorted. Some books. Some comics. Some t shirts. Lots of CDs. No specialty really. Couldnt find a modertely uncommon record despite it being available on ebay for less than fifty bucks. There are other places in Ogden to go.

Great selection and a fun place to browse records!

Great place to find new and used games, systems, movies, music, vinyl, and even books. Staff is very helpful and will find the answer to your questions if they dont know it. They are also able to get items from other stores if available in a short time frame. They may be known for buying and selling used items, all used items are checked to make sure they work, they have a great selection of new items including Funko figures and various mystery grab bags with small figures inside. I am SO happy they reopened this location. I recommend getting the lifetime rewards/discount membership.

Always my first place to stop in and pick up a record, I love the fact that its a local business and the atmosphere is great. Also everything is organized well and its easy to find the artists I love. The only small minute criticisms I have is the used selection of vinyl can lack in quality records in terms of recognizable artists, and the record selection while although vast and full of new releases lacks in the way of niche artists that I have found in other stores. Although the employees are always happy to order a specific record for you if you want. Although places like Amazon are easier if I was wanting to order a record, which is a bummer as I love supporting local business. Although with that being said its hands down the best local record store

If you want to go someplace that sort of like an old record store this is the place that a lot of old Nintendo games they have a lot of old records they have new records they have a lot of the new stuff that’s coming out they have soundtracks. This is the first time I’ve been in there and I very much enjoyed everything about the place the staff was amazing the staff was knowledgeable on what they had and overall I just had a really good time. So if you want somebody that likes to look for some old albums and you like to listen to some of that old 70s and 80s original records and you or are you trying to get into the new stuff then this is the place to go they have a membership they have all sorts of stuff for you that can help you save some money and get some good records

I happen to live in Ogden so this is the place I frequent most. Their staff rocks! They know me by name and the manager texts me whenever he gets something he thinks I might like. He’s always on the lookout for stuff I’m interested in. I’m not the only customer he does this for! I see the same treatment in all of the customers who walk through the door. You can’t ask for better service and selection. If they don’t have it, they bend over backwards to try and get it for you. It’s pretty amazing, go check it out!

Shopping local to our family is important. Graywhale staff are very friendly and helpful. Best record shop around here! Tons of vinyl, CDS, books, movies, etc. There’s a store back in Arizona very similar to this one called Zia Record Exchange. They also carry used band t shirts, and some used clothing. It would be awesome if you guys started doing that too! Overall, great place with very friendly staff

They tend to get some hidden gems for Video Games that I look for. Only this time they didnt have exactly what I wanted but had the other version. They only had the Final Fantasy Anthology for PS1 but I was looking for the one that has Final Fantasy 4(or 2 for the US release) and chrono Trigger.

Gray whale is incredible. They have a big selection of DVDS, Blu-Rays, CDS and vinyl. Ive seen record players. They even carry gaming systems (like regular Nintendo). If you cant find what youre looking for just ask. If they dont have it, usually one of their other locations will and you can pick it up in a day or two. They even buy movies and music. Just dont walk through the security gate with them. Stop right inside the door. I cant say anything bad about this place.

Graywhale Entertainment is very much an underappreciated treasure in Ogden. Its a great place to find literally any form of entertainment - be that books, movies & tv, anime, video games, and music. Their music selection is truly their greatest asset - and something that I think the employees are most passionate about. They have a great selection of vinyl records that offer a wide variety of genres. Whats great is that there is a mixture of both new and used items - so you can save a buck while also supporting local businesses. The vibe of the store certainly gives off a grunge or punk aesthetic, but dont let that fool you into thinking that you wont find excellent customer service or a variety of products to enjoy. If anything, it makes me nostalgic for youthful days in 2009 where I practically lived with my earbuds in my ear, jamming to screamo and punk. Maybe youll find a similar feeling when you step in too.

Awesome stuff here! I personally love to come here and look at the Blu Ray collection and buy them! I can walk out of there with quite a few movies for not a lot of money!

Great store with a lot of good things to buy. My only complaints are small. They have have a lot of stuff to buy but the store is so small its hard to move around because it feels cluttered. I have anxiety and claustrophobia so being in a small isle with two or three people at both my sides unable to move around them makes it hard to actually stay long enough to buy anything. And it seems like every time I go in death metal is always playing. So please just tone the music down a notch and widen the aisles a little.

One of my favorite places to spend all my money for years. They have everything youd be looking for. I buy lots of vinyl and movies here. This is also where I got used box sets of Game of Thrones for a way better price than brand new. Everyone here is always way nice and will help you however they can.

This is the heaven I didnt know I had and sure didnt deserve. Has every type of media, but records are far and away their preference. They have everything from new releases to the classics! Cannot recommend Graywhale enough!

Love the selection of music both used and new. Only negative is that if youre trading in music, movies or games they just dont give you much of anything anymore. I understand that less and less people are buying the physical copies since everything can be downloaded these days so you cant really blame them. Its just not worth trading your collection anymore but that doesnt mean I dont enjoy the selection anymore.

I enjoy visiting this location. Its clean, organized, the staff is friendly, products are in good condition, and theres usually a sale to take advantage of. My only complaint is that they sometimes play the music loud enough you cant hear the person next to you talking. Sort of ruins the browsing experience.

Very cool place with some super cool staff working there. They had a lot more selection than I was expecting. Staff picks and collections were spot on and the staff was quick to help point in the right direction of cool new stuff I hadnt heard before. Overall a very positive vibe and somewhere that I will definitely be visiting again.

I have been coming to this place for years, we are talking 20 plus years, but after yesterday I wont even recommend this place, they made me wait for an hour while they helped other first, I went in there to sell some movies good movies in fact.some how i only left this place with 18 bucks if your looking to sell movies go to a pawn shop they will give you more, i felt like the staff was more interested in getting sale than helping me plus i felt so low balled ill never go back . if you guys are gonna buy movies make a station so one person can work on it while the others help the ones checking out, holidays or no this isnt the first time i was made to wait, they never used to do this, I was there before plenty of other people and at least 10 went before me, its uncalled for. Even when i walked in i seriously had to stare at them for ten min at the counter before some one came to me. and there were two girls that were not doing anything.

Fun store! I like to go once or twice a month to check out new arrivals of used vinyl. Its hard to get out without something! Theyre also usually playing something good, so its a good place to hear something new.

Deals on movies etc are pretty decent. But theyre not handicapped friendly, isles are too narrow. No place to sit down if you go in without your wheelchair or any other aid.

My favorite record store hands down. Every time I go its a treasure hunt and the prices are great. Friendly staff and clean, well organized as well. Needless to say I stop every time Im in town!

The issue with the place is that theyre usually blaring pretty bad music over the speakers loud enough to keep you from hearing yourself think. I loved browsing for an hour looking for music from my childhood. They had a great collection of CDs and a good collection of Vinyl Albums. It was a fun time for my daughter as she picked out oldies that are goodies.

I have been coming here for years and have always had a good experience. I initially started coming to the store to buy concert tickets and eventually started going regularly to buy vinyl records to add to my collection (Metallica, Pink Floyd, Tool, Mastodon, Rush etc.) Their movie selection is quite good as well. Staff are always polite and helpful and frequently just want to talk about movies or music with you. Such a fun atmosphere. Ill be coming for many more years.

Customer service and selection availability was amazing. I was able to purchase Current CDs, and some older T.V. series that we loved. My only problem was the lack of adequate handicap availability. They had one designated parking place, but No ramp for access to a very high sidewalk. I thought this was a mandatory Federal Law?

Poor customer service. And they need to label there pricing do not put things that are 1.99 in the same box as items that are 31.99. Super shady and then label all the sections mixing sales with not sales so know what knows the actual pricing. Definitely my last trip
