Bennion Crafts may have a great selection of crafts but there staff could not be more rude. I tried to return an item (which I bought last week and per the receipt I had 30 days to return) and the manager (Kari) acted like this was an unforgivable sin. She was rude, disrespectful, and very accusatory. Im not expecting staff to be overly nice and pleasant but respect from both parties shouldnt be much to ask.

First time there, but it certainly wont be the last time. It was nice. The employees were helpful and friendly. Found some cool paints to try out on my pinecone roses. Awesome

I wish the prices were a little cheaper. But they have the coolest stuff and some of the greatest ideas

I bought some tiles and wood pieces from this store. I only opened the main bag but not the individual plastic bags that the pieces were in. I noticed there were several missing. I took this back to exchange it. The manager was very rude and accusing. I did not open the individual bags but she told me she can’t trust that I didn’t take the pieces. She was short with me and told me “I can’t resale this!” She told me this numerous times and told me this was on me. I normally don’t have issues with Bennion crafts but I was very disappointed.

I really enjoyed my visit there. They have some really fun projects to work on

No mask mandate. That alone makes them worthy of 5 stars. Very helpful staff. Reasonable pricing.

This place has a lot of beautiful things, and a few things the other thrift stores dont. They are a little pricey, but definitely worth taking a walk through.

It was my first time going there. I did not want to leave! I could spend a day in there and thousands of dollars, if that was possible! I found my new craft store! Cant wait for the Christmas season projects now!

I love coming here everybody is always really friendly and they have a coupon on their website that is 40% off of one regular priced item. I do feel that on a lot of the items theyre overpriced a little bit but they have everything for your crafting needs and are always very hopeful.

I am always about supporting smaller businesses before big box stores. However, I have never experienced a small store be a shady as Bennion crafts. I certainly will never return after my experience today. I was in the market for some canvases and paint to make a surprise gift. Upon entering the store I headed to the canvases to find a flyer taped to the shelving advertising 50% off all canvases. I checked the shelf tag and saw the price of $23 and $17 for the sizes I needed and immediately snapped them up assuming the 50% off prices would be roughly $13 and $9. I also picked up a bottle of acrylic paint.At check out I was shocked to find my purchase was going to be $50! The math didnt add up but I dont like confrontation so I swiped my card and left the store to sit in my car and review the receipt to figure out how on earth my total was that high with just the 3 items. Upon review I found that Bennion likes to raise their prices to 2x the retail price, slap a 50%off sales banner, and then ask the normal retail price. Nowhere on the shelving did it show the original prices of $34 and $48 for the canvases. I did a quick Google search and found that big box competitor stores ask the sale price for the original price.Had I had known this would have been my price I would have skipped purchasing all together to find a more cost effective method. So I grabbed my stuff and headed back in to return. I explained politely that the price was not what I was expecting and that I would be looking elsewhere for my stuff.When the cashier went to return the unopened bottle of acrylic paint she was alerted that it couldnt be returned. So she paged a manager over who was snarky and rude right off the bat. She informed me that there is no return on paints, period. I asked her where it says that. She rudely replied that it is posted in the isle. So I asked her to show me. We walked to the isle to find a small index card sized flyer on the very top shelf showing that there are no returns. Something that even my 59 friend didnt see while we were pricing out the paint options.So not only were the prices deceiving but the manager was incredibly rude over an honest mistake for a brand new customer.Buyer beware.

I had made a cute little sign that needed a clear sealer to finish the job. I brought in the EXACT lettering in person that I had originally used on my craft so the staff could help me find the perfect sealant that I needed. They were wonderful in helping me find the product though when I used the Mod Podge it melted the lettering of my craft and destroyed the paint and the wood that the craft was made with. I was shocked when I couldn’t return the product even after it destroyed my craft that I had made when I was instructed by the staff to use it... Super disappointed with this store.

Kris jumped through hoops to finish beautiful custom framing job for me by Christmas Eve! It’s so nice to see people go the extra mile and have a smile on their face during all the holiday stress

I went here looking for some leather braiding cord and decorated wood beads to make key chains and zipper pulls but the associate at the counter had no idea if they had these items. She had to call her manager and when the manager FINALLY came to my assistance she was quite rude....telling me that beading was not as popular as in the past so they didnt have much of a choice of leather cord nor decorated wood beads. She actually seemed irritated talking to me about it. VERY poor customer service from her and the girl at the check out counter!! They did have a few sale items that were priced fairly but otherwise most of there items were extremely high priced. I would not recommend this place to anyone seeking crafting items!

I love to support local businesses. Also, Ive found some cute things at Bennion I havent seen at other craft stores. For example, they carry a good selection of Melissa and Doug toys for my son. They also have snap books and supplies which I like. (Other shops have similar type of scrapbook but I prefer snap brand because of the burlap covers). The location is also convenient and easy to get in and out quickly. 😀

I genuinely enjoy visiting this craft store regularly. Chris in framing is excellent and very friendly and proficient. I dont know the owner/managers name, but she is always very helpful to me when I go in. I love their decorations and sales, I got three packs of ribbons for an amazing price. I have only great things to say about them, its a cozier and friendlier feeling than what you get at the giant chain craft stores. Check them out, worth the drive! I live right by them, but my dad specifically drives from East Layton to visit them any time he needs supplies.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced!!! Was shopping for myself and my elderly mother and the manager went out of her way to pull us aside and let us know that we would not both be able to take advantage of the sale because we were family! We don’t even live in the same house! Being someone in management myself I can’t even imagine treating one of my customers this way!!! I guess it’s a good way to make sure we NEVER shop your store again!!! We will spread the word as well!!! Again...WORST customer service I have ever experienced, way to spread the holiday cheer!!!

This place is seriously the WORST craft store. The employees were not helpful. In fact they followed me around the store as if I was planning on robbing them. It was so bad, I mean the little skinny red head literally followed me and my husband around the store as if she was our child. I was in awe of the disrespect. I would not recommend going there to anyone. No wonder they have hardly any customers. I will never go there again.. Terrible customer service.

What I loved is i wasnt hassled by staff every few minutes.I am a creative person. And I was able to piece things together that I want to do.

I’ve been inside of this place two times the first time at the back cutting counter the woman acted far too busy cutting things up that I can only imagine were for the store or for herself because I was literally the only person in the store other than employees because I went right as they opened.Second time was just as bad of an experience.So this third time I call, the woman sounds absolutely annoyed by my 9 month old that is babbling in her playpen, I repeat myself, ask about hand embroidery needles, they say yes we have them. I say okay great. Could you put a couple up at the counter and I’ll be right over?She practically cuts me off and says “that’s against store policy, we have to have someone here.”I have never heard this in my life. From any store. And I’ve done this multiple times at other places when I just have one thing to grab, go and be on my way. Especially if my little one just fell asleep in her car seat.Bottom line. The employees are rude here. And I live extremely close to this place but I’ll be shopping any craft store but here.And wish I had caught the name of the woman I spoke with today to let the management know they lost not only a sale, but a customer today as well.

Beautiful store. They have everything you can imagine for crafting and home decor. Take extra money with you because youll leave with more than you came for. Its hard to resist.

Bennion is my go to craft store. Prices are excellent, and Ive never had a snooty sales person like I have other stores. They always have what Im looking for. The prices are comparative to every other craft store.

I usually love shopping this storeHowever the two women there cutting fabric were so chatty that after 15 minutes of standing in line ( I was next in line) I put my purchases back and left.For a Saturday morning the store was very under staffed.

The Fabric is high quality. Lots of cute fabric. 12.99 a yard though, kinda expensive.And make sure you ask for one item for 40% off. They take other stores coupons up to 40 % too. Craft ideas are good here too. Framing also.

I enjoy going into a store which at times may be crowded but where I can always find someone to help me. I also enjoy the friendliness and personal touch given each time I shop there.

My overall experience here is less than favorable. I have taken a long time to determine that the approach by employees along with hovering and pretending to have something to do nearby is the stores efforts to manage retail theft. I am always disturbed by these measures. There is a point where you can come off a little to strong guys. I have suggestions if you are interested this intimidation is insulting and counterproductive. Also Ive purchased items that didnt make it into the bags and the items were refused when I went back to get. I purchased a set of pens as well that had more that didnt write than did, and an exchange was refused as well. On the flip side, Ive been a customer here for many years and have found things here that other places havent had. I feel they offer a nice selection of choices and theres always a coupon offered!
