My son was traveling from Boise Idaho to West Virginia and broke down on the interstate. We picked this business by chance and thankfully we did. The owner provided excellent service and got my son back on the road at a very reasonable cost much lower than I had expected. He also let him use the waiting room to let his new kitties get out while waiting. Hard to find people like this anymore and I would highly recommend this business. Dennis is by far the best mechanic we have ever had. He fixed our clutch, and our brake problems that Jiffy Lube had messed up and failed to fix. He took the time to LISTEN to what we needed done and didnt try to push services that we wernt asking for (like most big name mechanic chains always try to do to up sell their services) his prices are considerably lower and reasonable while still giving him the income for his hard work. He makes time to get us in for fixes we cant safely keep driving without. Super friendly and knowledgeable for his line of work. We will never go to anyone else for our car upkeep and repair!

Oh man is there a story and a half behind my experience with this place! First thing I want to mention is the kind of person that Dennis is. He takes responsibility for his actions, he’s kind hearted and has lived a life that has structured his character in a way I can only envy.With that being said, I brought my 08 Mazdaspeed3 to his shop about 9 months or so ago. Kyle, which of who was NOT a reflection of Dennis and his moral at all, ordered a motor for the Mazda. Took him way longer than it should have and I noticed a loud knocking in the valves when I started it. It’s a little 4 banger and the knock only happened on start up so I tried to ignore it. As I kept trying to get the car through it’s drive cycle it never cleared the CEL so I brought it back to have Kyle check it out. Turns out Kyle got the motor from a personal source and not from the shop’s typical place. He didn’t keep any paperwork or record of it because he was pocketing the money and ended up being fired from the shop. Soon after, the motor he put in my car through a rod and Kyle left him practically bankrupt. Leaving Dennis and myself in a nightmare of a position with no way to fix my car and no way to get to work. I know, this doesn’t sound like a 5 star review, but just bare with me. After Dennis moved the shop I called to see how he was and how the progress on the Mazda was going. He asked if I could come in and meet with him. So I did. He put me in a loaner car and put my name on the title and gave me a way back to work. Granted, it’s not my Mazda, but I can see how much effort and hard work he has put into doing the right thing. I’m still driving the loaner thanks to Kyle being a POS, but Dennis has assured me that better times are likely ahead and with any luck he should be at a point that he can start cleaning up Kyle’s mess and recovering. I’ve grown to know the guys in the shop somewhat well this past year and they’ve been great people and helped out far more than any other big name shop would. If this was anywhere else I would have taken this situation to small claims without batting an eye. But the integrity and accountability that Dennis has shown is very commendable. I’m confident that I will be pleased with the end result.

AWESOME JOB GUYS!!! I couldnt be happier with the service we received from Dennis and his guys. My son was having issues with his brakes and when I called and explained to Dennis what was happening, he told me to bring it in asap. We (my son and I) took his truck in the very next morning and they took care of it right away. My son told me thanks for recommending them and that he wont go anywhere else. Thanks again for making my son feel safe in his vehicle.

Yeah they back up their work till its done right which is rarely because for the most part they get it right the first time.

Awesome mechanics. Honest, upfront. Good at communicating with me once they had my right phone number. They were switching shops and my number got lost. Dennis is awesome they did a motor swap on my 2015 chevy sonic it have a rod knock he ordered the motor then swapped it and they just did a transmission on the same car got that taken care of it as well would go back there any time my somethings wrong with my car

When you dont know right from left when it comes to mechanics and walk into an auto body shop and need assistance, you generally feel worried. Worried you will be screwed out of your money. Worried that you will not be treated as a valued customer. This is our first time with DC Transmissions, and it will continue to be our go to place while we live here. Super nice guys, fair quotes, quick labor, and terrific customer service. I am very grateful they were there for me when my Jeep had the ball joints pop off and the brake line broke along with the popped tire. Small businesses like this need to acknowledged for their great services and honesty. True to their word. Wed rate 10 out of 10 if we could!

Now I have had two of my vehicles repaired by this company. They are extremely fast with work dinner on my vehicles, two days max. The price is great. They repaired a clutch and then a flex plate for me. I’ll continue to take my vehicles there for further repairs if needed.

I’m a car guy, usually work on my own but was in a hurry to make it across the country for Christmas so I left without changing my transmission fluid and filter. With all that driving time to think, I realized I really should stop and take care of it. Dennis is polite, professional and honest. Dennis and Josh are such amazing master mechanics! I have an 07 Subaru WRX and recently blew up 3rd gear in the transmission. All the other transmission shops wanted to charge me a fortune to fix it so I took it to DC Transmissions. Dennis and Josh were extremely professional to work with. Dennis fixed my transmission in no time at all and saved me so much money. My transmission works better than ever now, thank you so much Dennis and Josh. I took my car into have the heater fan replaced and have them look at my car I thought my fuel pump was bad turned out it was a vacuum hose that was 18.00. I got the heater fan replaced and the hose fixed and saved about 200.00. Dennis and Josh did an excellent job. Dennis has been working on my car for the last 4 years and is my mechanic. I completely trust these guys. Always honest and up front about cost and how long repairs will take

The mechanic here cant tell his head from his rear end, says he has been in the business for years except he cant even tell me what flex plate my vehicle needed after having my truck for months and buying the wrong flex plate 3 times I got sick of the bull and took my car somewhere else where it was done with in the week. Dennis the owner is always thinking of excuse and with shift the blame anywhere as long as he dont have to take credit for it. claims I asked him to buy parts, I sure did hold him accountable for his mistakes. he also ripped out my ignition and shredded the steering column just to move a vehicle from one shop to another cause he lost the key. Id be surprised if I dont see him in court. im tempted to for all the malarkey

Took my work van in to have them look at my transmission because of “limp mode”. They could have tried to sell me a whole new transmission but instead it was just a dropped filter. They simply charged me for a service and parts. Thanks for being HONEST!!!
