Ive been taking my vehicles here for several years and the crew at Arnold Auto have been fantastic. Despite the same last name, there is no relation - Im actually from the opposite side of the country. Theyve always been fair with pricing and upfront about what needs to get done versus what can wait a while. The staff here do an excellent job, and have always worked fast to get my vehicles back to me as soon as possible. I recently took my vehicle here for an inspection prior to a cross-country move, and they were extremely thorough and found a couple issues that would have caused some major headaches for me if the parts had failed halfway into my drive. If youre looking for an honest auto shop that does great work, this is the place to go!

Went in expecting a $1000 bill to fix my A/C. Came out very pleased with a $160 bill. Will definitely be a repeat customer with future repairs.

Quite disappointed. I had been taking 4 of my vehicles to Arnolds for 5 years. Last time was for a hydraulic fluid leak in a Jaguar convertible. In the meantime the one mechanic on duty had cut the tubing at the hydraulic pump I assume for measurement of the tubing diameter purposes. I was told a couple of different times that they were still attempting to get the required tubing. After literally months of waiting on the tubing to arrive it still never did. I took the car directly to the Jaguar dealership in SLC. Within 2 days the tubing was ordered and arrived and was installed. The origin of the leak was the hydraulic fluid reservoir container not the tubing. $500 for the tubing that if it hadnt been cut was perfectly fine. Add the labor of the Jaguar mechanic to install the tubinh and the bill was over $1000. Arnolds typically does good work but they certainly didnt get it done in a timely manner nor did they diagnose the problem correctly so Im out $1000+ for nothing. They have too much business for one mechanic to handle by himself. I have since taken my business elsewhere rather than wait 30 days or longer for repairs to be completed.

This! This place is legit & not like the other places who charge too much for things your auto doesn’t need! I’ve personally seen Sarah assist an elderly customer with his annual car registration; super kind & helpful. Chad gives it to you straight. If your car parts still have life, he’ll advise you on cost of repair & how soon you’ll need it. I feel like Arnold’s treat you like family!Will go here again & highly recommend!

One of the most important issues when you move to a new town is to find a good automobile mechanic. Well I found Arnold’s Auto repair! Chad and staff run a great operation and they have taken really good care of my two vehicles, Especially my 1991 Cadillac which is a classic and it is hard to find parts. I recently had a problem with the door lights staying on and running down the battery. Chad and his mechanic found the problem pretty quick. The only bad thing is since the car was so old Chad was unable to locate the interior illumination timer. As it turns out we both agreed that was not a big deal. The only difference is when the doors shut the light goes off. It does not need to stay on with the interior delay timer. I would highly recommend anyone to go visit Chad and his shop. I am sure they will not be disappointed.!

We just left Arnolds Auto Repair, and i had to write this review ASAP..we are traveling from idaho to Nevada with 3 small Grandkids experienced car trouble.walked in there door and they jumped into action stopped eating there lunch looked st the car ordered the part to have it sent righy away then finished there lunch all to get us on the road, they changed our alternator and belt faster then we could have got lunch at Burger King. Even being from out of town we were treated like we were old friends. Keith and Sara i cant thank you both enough. My Oldeat Grandson as were were driving away said Pops those are really good people...i dont do reviews as a norm. But Wow never been treated better and quality of work outstanding .... you can trust them 100% i just cant say enough

I have had multiple dealings with Chad. He is amazing, honest, fast, reliable, helpful. Chad is in the top one percent of all people. The owner is usually working and he is a very honest reasonable man. They take good care of you and know theyre stuff with car repair. Offered me a variety of financial options to work around my budget and they had very reasonable prices.

There technitian broke a socket while working on my car and the lady upfront tried so hard to have him charge me for that one socket. Also, when I went in the man upfront left me hanging for about 5 minutes while he went to go talk to his buddy. Also overpriced.

A while ago, I had a new engine put into an older car. The engine later blew up (No fault to any one it was a manufacturer defect). After this happened I was debating whether to buy a new car or have the old car fixed.I took my car to Arnolds Auto for a diagnostics because my wife previously had a good experience. They were fast to diagnose my problem, they surprised me because they were able to verify that my motor was in warranty with the manufacturer and on top of that they were able to get the old motor shipped back and the new warranty replaced motor installed.They did a great job and I am very happy with their service and knowledge. I would recommend Arnolds Auto to anybody. I will continue to do business with Arnolds Auto!

We were referred by Les Schwab on 12th in Ogden UT. And our experience could not have been better. Chad diagnosed and fixed a problem that the dealer failed to find/fix. We were driving from OR to our new home in AZ and my wifes car started having engine issues. At about 4PM on a Friday. They got us in, and stayed late, with Chad even missing part of his sons football game, and got us back on the road by 5:30. Work was excellent, they were really nice, and the cost was very fair. Cant recommend highly enough. And I am a former mechanic.

Awesome people. After 16 hours of driving We arrive in Ogden, UT with a check engine light on in our car. They took us right in and checked it out. No charge except for the additive to put in the gas tank.

I went in because my break lights went out. They quickly took my car in and checked the lights out and my battery. I think it took longer for me to explain the situation, than the actual fixing of my light. They also found my battery had been over tightened causing the battery to be slightly crushed. However, instead of pushing me to fix it they asked if I wanted it done or go back to who over tightened it. Also being female I tend to be leary of mechanics. But as I talked about my car issues they offered some ways to find out what is wrong and be able to prioritize issues and put them in a manner that fits my schedule and pocket book. They also offered to test out my oil issue (car eats it) to find out how to fix or slow it down. No one else has ever offered to try.Will be taking them up on their offer and plan to make them my full-time auto shop! Recommend to anyone!!!

Ive taken my truck here a few times and havent had any problems. They ordered a catalytic converter for my truck and after looking into the problem further determined that I didnt need the converter, just needed some cleaning out and saved me LOTS of money. Other mechanics would have just replaced the part and charged what they wanted but Chad was upfront and honest about what work needed to be done.

I live in Ogden for about 3 months and blew a head gasket in my truck and the people at Arnold’s were very helpful and fast 2 years late and my truck is still running great. I was in a bind and couldn’t drive my truck and the wonderful people at Arnold’s helped me out.

Brought in my sisters PT Cruiser because we encountered problems while in Ogden. They got it right in, and through diagnosing found it needed a repair with the Cam shaft sensor, not a new battery or alternator like I thought. Chad explained everything and I felt comfortable working with him. Very good customer service.Next time we buy a used car well try paying for a $45 pre inspection at Arnolds to maybe catch these problems before buying. We bought the PT cruiser from a used car dealer 1 week ago as is.

The customer service is excellent. They gave me rides to work and rides to pick up my truck. My bill ended up being around $400 to find and repair the cause of smelling gasoline. The smell persisted after repair and Arnold took it back in and found the problem and fixed it with no charge. Thats good business ethics.

I have always been the type that NEVER trusted automotive shops... Until I was introduced to Mike and Bryce at Arnolds Auto. I brought my car in to get it checked because I could just feel something wasnt quite right with my front end and I drive almost 40 miles twice a day to go to work. Well long story short these guys made sure I was taken care of and my car was safe for me and my family. I even tried to tip Bryce a $20 and he declined it, he then stated : That isnt why I do this, I do it to make sure people are safe. It blew my mind.. THANKS GUYS!!!! I will be back I rated them a 4 star only because I really would like to know that they could maybe find a way to finance customers when it comes to an expensive job.

Oh my gosh!!! This is the best experience I ever had! I was traveling alone from Utah to Idaho to tend my grandbabies & my car started overheating!! Not knowing anything about cars & really nervous because we happen to be really broke and I knew this car needed lots of work?... I was so blessed to be led to this shop and Arnold! He was amazing, honest & fixed my car just like that! He could of told me anything really but diagnosed it right off... easy, cheap fix & I was on the road in less than 2 hours! He just might be the last of the small shops that have integrity and good service without hidden fees & trying to upcharge you and sell your everything under the sun your car may need! Great customer care for the usual price

Took my Dakota in for a knocking noise while driving. They told me I needed a new drive line for $650. Was quoted $67 for labor with the rest being the part. Pulled up the part number they gave me and you can get the part for around $250, pretty big mark up to me. Took the truck to another local business and he is fixing one part --- not the drive line, for 1/4 the cost (also,this is the 2nd mechanic to tell us it was this part that was bad, not the entire drive line, the first one just couldnt do the work). The guy seemed shocked that we actually took the time to look up the cost, I am glad we did. This is the second time we would have over paid by taking out vehicles here. I just say, do your homework and get a second opinion when dealing with these people.
