I came about Mark-A-Newt Appliance when I attended a local non-denominational church and needed a repair on my washing machine.I contacted the church who seems to have a directory of businesses owned by good, honest people.The church referred me to Mark-A-Newt 8 years ago and I am still calling on Mr. Spencer when my appliances need to be repaired. I also highly recommend Mark-A-Newt Appliance for purchasing new appliances!The repair-people are professional and nice.The prices are beyond reasonable.Mr. Spencer is a very nice & honest man.Everyone that works for Mark-A-Newt Appliance has been great!

Rick the owner is fabulous. He helped us locate a refrigerator in a time that has proven difficult to find one due to Covid. He is very friendly and clearly loves serving his customers. Very satisfied customer!

We bought a Speed Queen washer dryer set from Boyles in Ogden. The dryer broke after only 7 months. Boyles was unresponsive and apathetic to our frustration and despair about the inconvenience and expense of a broken machine not even one year old. When I called Mark-A-Newt they were compassionate and sympathetic. Wow! What a nice change♥️. Rick spent time explaining to me what might be wrong and how the problem might be resolved despite being unable to address the issue as our own local dealer ought to have been able to do. Im grateful for their outstanding customer service when we werent even their customers. Integrity and customer service are obvious values directing this business.

Love Rick and the others! Rick is very helpful in explaining which machines would be appropriate for my family and why. Very good with deals! Explains how to use the machines to the best of their ability. We have bought all of our appliances thru them since we moved here in 2003.

They have the best prices and will work with you to get what you want. We got a refurbished fridge for a family and they gave us a good price and warranty. Just be patient with them because they are VERY busy.

Love this place they almost always have what I want and or can get it. They are full of good advice I do a lot of my own repair so its nice to bounce my thoughts off of them. They have saved me literally hundreds maybe thousands of dollars in appliances. I would highly recommend this business and I will be back on something else breaks down.

Always the best prices and reliable service, delivery, and installation. Mark-A-Newt has serviced or replaced our home appliances for almost 40 years. We call them before going anywhere else and have gotten the best prices on the best products (refrigerator, oven, cooktop range, dishwasher, washer, dryer). Now our children call Mark-A-Newt for appliances, and they are very happy with the results!

Ive always had good luck here at great prices. Even with very difficult, hard to find old old parts! Amazed they had more than one of these parts I needed! Helpful on more than one occasion. The person that helped me knew my wall oven better than I did, and Ive lived with it for 25 years!

Wow had them put a refrigerator in a rental and they sent over the biggest POS. Seals are coming off. Should have never fell for a deal with a used fridge. You would think it would have been somewhat refurbished but no. One of the most embarrassing days of my life

I had called another appliance repair company to check out my washer. They quoted me a price of $419. I called Mark-A-Newt with the model number and part for a quote. Mark-A-Newt quoted me $229!!! Richard was EXTREMELY helpful over the phone! He came out replaced the part and had it working in no time! I will use Mark-A-Newt from now on!Honest & fair!!

I purchased a fridge/freezer from Mark A Newt. The staff was friendly and helpful. A few months later the compressor in the fridge went out and the warranty had expired just a week prior. Mark-A-Newt sent a tech to my house the next day (no charge) and replaced my fridge even though the warranty had just expired. What a great way to do business!

My Bosch front load washing machine blew the water pump and Rick paused everything and went out of his way to track down a workable pump just for me at his shop and at a great price too! Unbelievable job guys! A few short minutes later I have the pump installed and my machine is already doing its next load of laundry! Thank you Mark-A-Newt...I gave this particular Ma & Pa shop a shot because I hate Amazon and big corps and I couldnt be happier! Keep the business in your community near home and with your neighbors folks ;)

At first we were happy with them after spending almost $1100. We quickly learned a hard lesson. Almost 2 weeks later we have multiple promises broken, multiple Ill call you backs, and still no fridge. When my wife called she was told that she was welcome to have in-store credit. Still no fridge. We will NEVER go back and would never recomend them.

The guys (and gals) there are awesome! They will provide full service or help the DIYer with parts and advice.

Ricks customer service was AMAZING!!! He was friendly, and walked me through, step by step on how to replace the part I was buying, and he wasnt grumpy or irritated because it was super close to closing time!! Customer for life!!

My husband is a big fan of this place. They watch over your costs as if it were their own. They dont want you to spend a penny more than you need to. They have saved us a lot of money over the years!

Went here for used replacement parts for my fridge and they had just what I needed at a very fair price.

Rick is extremely knowledgeable on pretty much anything and everything, little pricey at times a but its well worth it.

This company scheduled an appointment 3 days out. Said they would be here between 11& 2. I had to call them around 1on the day of the appointment to find out what was going on & they said they cancelled the appointment. Well, thats nice to know. Who did you cancel with? Because it sure wasnt with me, the customer! Now Im having to schedule with another company. Thats the worst customer service ever. Obviously a shady company with bad business practices.I will never use or recommend this crooked lying p.o.s company.

This store has been family owned and in this location since I used to visit as a kid. They are the some most honest, friendly and knowledgeable people and are always happy to take time to answer questions to help you with parts and your own repairs.

Very professional, offered a 30 day warranty on all repair to make sure they got the problem fixed. That was really nice. He also showed me how to test my dishwasher if it started leaking again.

Best place to buy appliances.

I dont normally write reviews but I had such an unpleasant experience with the staff and service there I dont want other people wasting their time like I did. If I could give a 0 star rating I would. All three times I was there it took a minimum of 10 mins for someone to acknowledge my existence only then to be met with very snarky/sarcastic attitude from one lady especially. I was trying to sell my washing machine that worked just fine but was now leaking from the bottom. They told me they would have to look at it first to give me an estimate. I agreed and left the washer there. 4 days later I get a call saying that it would cost them $198 in parts and labor to fix the washer, so they could only give me $5 for the washer. I went to go pick up the washer 4 hours after the call and because I would not sell them my washer they demanded a $50 diagnostic fee. Only to find out they had already placed new parts on my washer and were mad because they were going to have to take them back off and put my parts back on. It took them maybe 15 mins to exchange the parts AND I found all the parts they said it was going to need for a total of $24 dollars on Amazon. So $24 dollars in parts... 15 mins of labor... They must pay their employees $696/hr. Good for them.

Awsome service always has the parts I need

This is a second respose to a previous review of this business. My initial experience with them was absolutely horrible however I am updating my review as the owner (Rick) has gone above and beyond anything we could have reasonably expected to remedy our situation. Our fridge broke down shortly after my husband fixed it the first time around. This time Rick provided a loaner fridge delivered the same day we called even though they were completely booked for deliveries they fit us in at the end of the day which I was so grateful for. Then when they realized the fridge was going to cost alot to fix he replaced it with a newer fridge of the same model and similar style at no charge to us. I have no hard feeelings at this point for him he has been excellent in ensuring that we got a quality product in the end. I will continue to update posts as necessary to let everyone know good or bad if anything else happens with it.

Went looking for a used washing machine. They were very friendly to me, and my four children who were running around their store. They answered all my questions and seemed well informed. When I made my order they dilivered on time. As they took out the old machine & brought in the new, they were very careful not to run into walls or doorways. They installed the washer, making sure it was level on my slanted floor, and wouldnt go until they had run it through a short cycle to make sure there were no leaks or problems. It has now been over a month and I am well pleased with the refurbished washer, and their service. I definetely recomend this appliance store!
