This is a real hardware store. Theyve been down here a long time for good reason. Chances are good you will find what you need.

Great local Hardware store. Family run for a very long time. Very knowledgeable and helpful. It doesnt matter if it is a $1 or $2,000 purchase, same great service either way.

I went in and needed assistance with a window repair that I wanted to do myself, the lady in there knew exactly what I needed, was very well rounded and gladly helped my with materials I needed without trying to sell me on their window repair in house. Thank you very much

We have been stopping at Wallaces whenever we are in town. Today we were greeted by a very unfriendly sign. It stated, Get in, get it, get out! No mask, Stay out! No signs thanking customers for their business during these trying times. No one walking around to help to find anything. I will from this point on be frequenting my local friendly hardware store from now on.

Great customer service! I went to replace screws for my bike hitch. They immediately asked if I needed any help and helped me find the replacement screws I needed. The woman working even came outside to try the screws in my bike before I purchased them. She also gave me helpful tips to make it more stable. I replaced the screws and tried her tips and everything is now working perfectly! Thanks for your help!

They generally have what you need without a lot of options. Prices are high but you would expect that for a island town hardware store. They absolutely need to work on their customer service. No smiles. No welcomes. No thank you. Asking for help is often like you are inconveniencing the staff. The sign at the front door right now says it all. Get in, Get out! I get that it’s a pandemic world that we live in but there are nicer ways of saying that.

Always the best. Walk in, ask Mike or Dawn where somethimg is, they tell me, I get it, pay and leave. Always nice any easy. Knowledgable owners. And if they dont have it, they will tell you where to get it. Simple.

A great small town hardware store! They have all the normal needs and some smaller homey/seasonal items. I could have spent several hours poking around looking at everything. Several high quality name brands as well as some off brands for those wanting to save money on basic items. They may not stock the higher prices big items like table saws etc., but they also might have exactly what you are looking for.

I locked the keys to my car inside my car right on Asbury Ave @7th street & the alarm went off like a horrible siren for a long time. people drove by and told me to break my windows. To make it worse, the Mummers were playing right in front of my car & I was horrified & freaked out. My food from Saccos was inside of my trunk as we were on our way out of OCNJ.Someone called Wallace Hardware & they got my trunk open & our keys out.I was never so relieved. I am so grateful to Wallace.

Very clean, nicely organized hardware store, with everything you need for home repairs and gardening. The associate on duty during my visit was very friendly when I reached the register; however, she was engaged in what seemed to be a personal conversation with someone during most of my visit, and was therefore unable to greet customers or offer any assistance. Still, I did enjoy shopping here, and will be returning!

I gave this place another chance on 8th and west. First time I walked out due to the rudeness. Today July 3rd I went back, (cause everyone has a bad day) to purchase a Weber grill. I asked if someone would be able help me. This woman then proceeds to say to me “I don’t know anything about grills, I really don’t care about grills” needly to say I will never set foot in that store again Glad to know they really don’t need the business.

My Telescope Casual beach chair broke and I wasnt sure if it could be fixed. I reached out to the hardware store in Margate and they told me they couldnt fix it and to reach out to the manufacturer. I reached out to Telescope Casual, but I didnt hear anything back. I reached out to the store where I purchased the chair from and they recommended Wallace Hardware. Mr. Wallace was able to fix my beach chair, which made me super happy!! Him and his staff were very kind, friendly, and helpful!! I definitely recommend this place and will definitely be a returning customer for sure!!!

One of the oldest businesses in Ocean City, NJ. Great family owned hardware store that has just about everything with a helpful staff. Pricing is high but comparable to other shore resorts. Great spot if you need something quick and dont want to leave the island, but if youre price shopping...head to the big box stores.

Rushed to pick up last minute items for NIV and they were closed at least 15 minutes early. Got up early to get things and discovered they don’t open until 8:30 which seems late to me for a hardware store. Always a line to check out and prices are high. After saying all of this I am still very happy to have them in Ocean City.

Wallace is great. They are very knowledgeable and are willing and able to help with any DIY question. Prices are reasonable too.

I came here looking to buy bolt cutters for an old bike lock which would not work anymore. When I got to the section of bolt cutters 2 of the 3 that they had available were already used with the teeth chipped up pretty good. These cutters were in sorry condition. The employee there gave us the explanation that we use what we have here leaving me to believe that there is a chance that most of their tools are previously used to some extent. He could not help us any further after that and walked away. How can one trust the credibility of any tool in the store from this point forward? I would not recommend going here from this experience just to get used tools.
