Then we found Ocala Pool Boys - Cheanay and Aly were extremely knowledgeable about their spas, upfront about how long it might take to get one and exactly what it would cost. Just had my Aspen hot tub delivered by Ocala Pool Boys and could not be happier. From the first moment I walked into the store to when it was delivered and set up, everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly. Owned by a husband and wife team, it has the feel of an old fashioned mom & pop store, complete with very personal attention, a warm and friendly store atmosphere, and pride in their business. Chaenay and her wonderful assistant Mary walked me through all the ins and outs of hot tub ownership (never had one before), spent a lot of time with me answering endless questions, and helped me find just the right hot tub for my needs and budget. I never felt pressured to make a decision on the spot, they let me take my time and encouraged me to think it through since it would be a decision Id live with for years to come. When the hot tub of my dreams arrived a few weeks later it was set by Chaenays husband Mike and installation partner Steve, and again I had the experience of being in very caring, skilled and patient hands. They seemed as excited about it finding a good home as I was in having it! The hot tub has exceeded my expectations, bringing me countless hours of pleasure, muscle relief, and relaxation, and I continue to return to their store for advice, suggestions and guidance. After moving to Ocala I purchased my first home with a pool with no knowledge of how to care for it. During the winter I am not very diligent in keeping my pool up. When I come into Pool Boys in the late spring with a water sample,; Pool Boys Personnel are always friendly and very helpful in determining what chemicals my pool needs or doesnt need in getting the water sparkling again. The only thing I wish is that they would come do the work for me.

I have to say after trying to contact other companies that would work on my hot tub I was recommended to get in contact with the POOL BOYS of Ocala. This recommendation led me to a company who was not only willing to drive the 35 miles plus to my residence but was willing to work with me on a intermittent problem (one of the hardest to find) until it was solved. Our special thanks goes out to Pool Boys technician Steve Hill who spent an enormous amount of time tracking down the problem and getting it resolved, all the time keeping in touch with me and guaranteeing me that he would be there to the finish. He has resurrected a six-year-old hot tub to new status. Not only have I posted here but I will also post a mention of their work on our community Google group site which will touch many of our residents who own Pools and/or spas and hot tubs. Mike Mitch is the consummate professional. My first experience with him was when I walked into Ocala Pool Boys to purchase a pool liner. I actually knew exactly what I sought. Mike Mitch didn’t try to up-sell me. He didn’t try to be the bothersome sales person or try to talk me out of getting what I wanted. He either knew that wouldn’t work or just with his experience wanted to do what was right or complete the transaction, I don’t know. I was tremendously delighted. I was SO satisfied, that I actually bought more items that day that I never planned on buying like phone cases that were waterproof and some pool toys which he practically gave to me. You see, his entire attitude was just GREAT and laid back, but he could have taken the sale completely different with me! He knows how to approach and handle a customer! That means everything to me! I purchased an above ground therapy pool complete with pumps, filter, heater, plumbing etc. I set up the pool, but hired The Pool Boys to do the plumbing.They were freindly and seemed to know what they were doing.They connected all the hoses and stuff and it all looked good.When I filled the pool with water there were immediate leaks .Called them and they came back out . Well instead of fixing what they screwed up (they didnt even try) MIKE MITCHEL proceeded to trash my equipment saying my new stuff isnt any good and that I needed to buy his brand of pump, filter, hoses and fittings .Im like my stuff is new, why should I buy his junk. He wasnt happy that I wasnt forking over any money and left.So I started checking for the problem with the leaks myself, and I discovered out of 6 hose connections 2 were improperly installed which I repaired myself. Also 2 leaky threaded connections just needed to be tightened which I did . And the last problem which they said was a difficult and expensive fix I took it apart cleaned everything up put teflon tape on the fittings (they said wouldnt work ) reassembled it with 2 hose clamps and Voila no leaks .Mitchel quoted a price of $400-$500 for his JUNK but I fixed everything for NOTHING . So be carefull dealing with this guy, he doesnt stand behind his work and he will surely try and rip you off .I have a low opinion of him . Michael Robertson
