It’s a little weird going in, I’m from Texas so I’m used to mom and pop shops but this shop kinda threw me. The dude at the counter was kinda standoffish and I had to come to him to ask him questions or even buy something. At one point I was standing in front of the counter holding the product I wanted to buy and he was in this lengthy conversation with a guy the entire time without acknowledging me, felt like forever before I spoke up and said something. Also seems like the prices for ammo and guns are hiked up like crazy and I get it COVID made prices skyrocket but not a dollar or more a round for steel cased 9mm, overall was not pleased this gun stores sketchy as hell.

Went here once and was underwhelmed. the one guy was incredibly rude.a few weeks later my experiences here came up on conversation with some friends. all of whom agree with me and had similar experiences with the rude guy. My money happily went to a competitor and spent more than i original intended to on accessories because i ended up getting the correct price on the device i was interested in, not the price i was told was the lowest possible (sticker)so yeah, i saved a bunch of money by switching to a dealer who knows how to work with very experienced enthusiasts who have bought more than their share over the years.I was entirely polite to the lumbering oaf that is always very rude to customers, even after he called me a liar. He said there was no way i could get the device i was interested in at the price i knew i could get it at. turns out i had several competitors offer me the desired price out the door so i had my pick of which place got my money.sorry guys, coulda been you! wont be in the future either!

In reading the reviews of this store they kind of remind me of my own experiences. It’s the Jekyll and Hyde of stores. Bought a firearm there. I was told you will have it in two weeks. Took six. I know distributors can be funny, but still, no apology. Basically told, “don’t call us, we’ll call you when it gets here.” And that was the only time I called to check on it, I wasn’t bugging them every day. So ok, went back six months later to look at another gun. The Lurch looking long haired salesman who talks to all people with an air of superiority couldn’t be bothered to help on this particular day but his shorter (and nicer) counterpart attempted (nicely) to upsell me on a gun IWasn’t interested in. Then tried again. I want to buy what I want to buy, not what your trying to move off your shelf. Then the owner wanders by and makes some semi-snide comment about “I don’t know why anybody would want one of those.” For the same reason they have different car models. I’m not a guy who expects a massage every time I come in an establishment but at least act like you care a little. lol! My money will spend somewhere else. I just bought a red dot in Shooter’s World in Orlando. Service experience was so different. And better! Just saying....

Very unfriendly service and I was not even acknowledged after walking around waiting to be approached in regards some questions I had. There is one guy who just stands there leaning forward against the counter and does not even care to ask anyone if they need help. Horrible gun store if you cam even call it that. I waited 6 months for a weapon that I put a deposit on when they told me a month at most. When I went to pick up, it is not the right one after I asked a bunch if times if the model number was what I was looking for and they said yes it is and had no idea that the springfield saint has three different types. Customer service is horrible the young guy was staring into space and think was on drugs

I went in to buy ammo. I was treated courteously and promptly. I knew little about what I needed but they were very helpful. This was during the pandemic where many other gun shops had long lines into their parking lots. There were not many people waiting to be helped so that was a plus for me. He said that he gets shipments daily and can get most anything people need.I recommend this shop.

I.. would really advise anyone who values their guns to stay away from here. They are extremely biased.Went in looking to buy a kydex holster, got told not to get one because the tiniest bit of moisture would cause my gun to get jammed in it by suction. Nevertheless my experience using kydex in the past and NEVER running into this issue. Got offered a gimmick holster that offers no real cover over the trigger due to being cloth.

My husband went in today to purchase a rifle as a Christmas gift for our son. He purchased a used gun (That he was told they tested and shoots perfectly even though the gun was noticeably in used condition with scratches and dents), and ammo for $205- a little over priced if you ask me, but I dont know much about guns. My husband came home and the gun wouldnt work. He spent 2 hours cleaning and examining the gun to have to drive back to Ocala to spend more money to get a gun that actually worked! I can not believe that this is how Ocala Armory does business! I stayed out of it because guns are not my thing! After reading the reviews I wish I would have involved myself from the start. Based on the reviews alone from FB and Google we would have shopped somewhere else!

I could not be happier! Check out the pics of the work David did for me. Friendly, professional, accommodating, and affordable! Quality work with attention to detail. When I needed the pipes and bottoms of passenger floorboards on my new Indian Chieftain Dark Horse CeraKote’d to match the matte black finish I did a certified installer search on the CeraKote website and found Ocala Armory. So glad I did! The dealership wanted to charge me $1800 for the stock ones by Indian. I almost scrapped the whole idea but David at the armory said he could handle the job at a fraction of that and knew a guy that could remove and replace the pipes for me. He didnt charge me anywhere near that, and even after taking time from his own schedule to go over to dealership to see the finish he would need to match and get the product ordered in advance, stood by his original estimate. Didn’t raise my price one red cent. The bike turned out amazing. And its my understanding they can put a CeraKote finish on anything you want, in just about ANY color! Thanks David! Hopefully they’ll post pics of the bike on their website.

Ordered a used Browning Citori from Sandy. Saw it on Gunsinternational. Pictures and description were accurate. Information provided was accurate. Sandy was helpful. Would have given 5 stars but the shotgun was shipped to my FFL without a required signature and no one was there to receive it so it was left out front. That is not good, however it worked out and I am very happy with the shotgun. Have taken it to the range twice and works great. Had I seen some of these reviews first, I would not have ordered from them, however Im glad I didnt see them because I got a very nice shotgun for a fair price. Some of these negative comments are done by people who know little about purchasing firearms. For example, if you buy a new firearm from a gun store and it is defective, the gun store cannot replace it with another firearm. They must go back to the manufacturer. Its a pain but thats how it works. Its not like buying a microwave from Walmart!

The Ocala Armory is not where you want to take your firearm for Cerakoting.I researched the cost of having my 1911 Cerakoted and they were the most expensive. They were $50 to $70 more than anyone else that I would have had to ship it to. They were only a 25 minute drive away. When I got it back, I noticed that the grip screws were all not fully seated or screwed down all the way. One was very obvious so I try to screw it in and find out they wont go any further because this Certified Applicator put the Cerakote in the grip bushings. This is how it was handed back to me. Im not going to waist any more time (or money) with this place. They have no pride in their work. Certified must just mean that he attended the online webinar. I have to select one star because it wont let me post this review unless I do.

If you buy a gun there, make sure it is a current production model and for Gods sake, be sure to take it out and shoot it the day you receive it!!! I bought a 2 1/2 in Model 66, fit and finish looked great, busy with issues at home, took out the 4th day and shoot it. Guess what, split the brass in two cylinder chambers, sent to factory and they said, sorry, no parts are available for this pc. Of course Sandy sez on the 4th day when I called, the 3 day inspection is up pal. Can I recommend them, probably not.

WAS SUPPOSED TO GET A NEW ONE BUT TURNS OUT THEY JUST SENT THE GUN TO THE FACTORY INSTEAD OF US JUST GETTING A BRAND NEW ONE. MY HUSBAND AND I WERE TOLD ONE WEEK WE WILL GET IT BACK. CALLED IN A WEEK LATER TO BE TOLD WE HAVE TO WAIT MANY WEEKS! THEN THEY ALSO SAID WE CAN NOT GET OUR RETURN BECAUSE THEY PAID SHIPPING TO RETURN THE DEFECTIVE GUN THEY SOLD US! DEFF DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! ALSO PRICES ARE A RIP OFF! SAME GUNS AT GANDER MOUNTION AN ACTUAL STOREE FOR CHEAPER PRICES AND NO PROBLEMS WHAT DO EVER! GANDER MOUNTION IS THE BEST!

I bought a new AR-15 a while back from this shop. Someone had attempted to grind down parts of the bolt carrier group in an apparent effort to convert it to fully automatic. It had been over 20 years since I last handled an AR-15/M16 type of weapon, so I didnt notice it at first. Recently a friend who is an Army armorer pointed it out to me. So not only did they buy a gun with a damaged BCG from someone, they turned around and sold it to me as new with the same damaged BCG. I have bought two guns and quite a bit of ammo from them, but no more after this. After my new BCG from Palmetto State Armory arrives, Ill be returning the old one to them with a letter about why I will never shop there, and I will never recommend them to anyone. It is a shame too, this store carries some hard to find ammo types. I guess Ill spend my money online and at real shops in town like GTO.

Wont be back to this gun shop again. Not used to being straight-up, lied to. That kind of puts the trust factor between you and your so-called gunsmith in a negative light. There is apparently no gunsmith on site at the shop. They have to send your weapons out to a secret, no-name gunsmith and then you wait for 2-weeks and sometimes they call you (most of the time they dont) when the firearm is ready for pick-up.I had a 50-mile round trip to their location. I dropped off my 16-ga, Remington 1148 (shotgun) for repair of a condition of trouble loading the next shell upon firing the first shot and no trigger reset. Waited 2-weeks and was told it was repaired. Came in and paid $75.00 ! ! for a strip down cleaningTook the gun home and it didnt work. (how does this happen?, took it back. Sandy told me it was the loads I was shooting (Remington 1-oz) so, I purchased a box of Sandys 1- 1/16 load shells and took it back home and shot it again...same problem (no trigger reset). Took it back to Sandy a 3rd time (another 50-mile trip), They had it for 2 more weeks. I called them and was put on hold...they finally came back and said yeah, its here. I went back again to pick it up. Sandy assured me that the gunsmith had to disassemble the trigger assembly, remove the sear and weld some mass to it and grind it down to be as new. I had to pay another $25.00 !! Took the shotgun home and fired it...NO TRIGGER RESET! (another 50-mile wasted trip), I called Sandy again and he said bring it back and Ill personally see to it that it gets fixed and Ill shoot it myself. After 2-more weeks of waiting, no one ever called me with any news so, I stopped in the shop to check on it. The gun was there and I was finally waited on ...Sandy finally acknowledged me in the store and said to me with a straight face...I shot it 5-times in a row this morning...works perfectly. I thanked him and took the gun home to test fire it... (knowing that the gun had a plug (which I had made) in it and it was not possible to fire it 5-times in a row) and guess what... NO TRIGGER RESET!. I was pretty pissed and tired of driving back and forth to this (so called) gun shop. 200 miles of driving just so they could screw up my gun.I took the gun down to Leesburg to a gun shop / indoor gun range on CR 44. Presented the shotgun to a real gunsmith named Gordon. Gordon took the weapon aside and removed the trigger assembly. He brought the weapon back over to the counter while I was standing there and showed me the part and I witnessed the fact that the sear part in the trigger was the original AND had never been touched. There was one small lever at the top of the trigger assembly that was in the opposite position and rendered it useless...could never fire and reset... I was also shown that inside the gun and rear of the chamber area ...the gun had never been cleaned! Gordon (Leesburg) put the lever in the correct position and allowed me to fire it in the indoor rifle range. My beloved shotgun worked perfectly!!! This gun shop is AWESOME! There was no charge ( even though he fixed my gun in less than 3-minutes). I gave him a 20.00 tip. I will be taking this weapon in for a complete strip-down cleaning to this Leesburg gun smith (after hunting season) where they only charge $24.00 for this complete cleaning service.Ocala Armory is a rip-off and the folks that you trust your weapons to... will lie to you!

She called five times and they complained about having to spend five dollars to send it to us, and couldnt we come in and get it. 80 mile round trip. After five calls and no response, we drove up there and she was met at the door by an ugly fat greasy looking jerk who told her the gun was used and they wouldnt honor anything. I had a nice chat with the piece of dirt sitting on his fat butt, and used many words I havent used since I was in the navy.If the gun is new he owes me a magazine, if its used he lied and cheated us.
