Conveniently located on Oakland Blvd, the store boasts a huge selection of vinyl, tapes and CDs. Picked up a few nice vinyl for my collection.

I cant thank this place enough! I found all the vinyl I wanted to find in one place which is super convenient! All of them in brand new condition and in super cheap prices! The staff is super friendly. I cant recommend this place enough for anyone who wants to buy some rare items for cheap prices!

So apparently as of July 5th you still need a mask to enter which is fine, though I didnt have one on me now I asked if he had a spare. He did. For $3.99. Not only that, but he said he could do it for $2.99 just for me! What a deal! For something that is free at every other store. What a guy.

I drove all the way down from Boca to sell this guy CDs - we had arranged for me to drop them off, and I would pick them up at a later date. I walked in to store, and he required a mask. Respectable, since I didn’t have one with me, he asked me to leave, and when I asked if he has any, he said has them for sale for $4.00 EACH!!! You have got to be kidding me - support your patrons w a mask if you as a business owner prefer that way. Oh - the gentleman’s name is Guy and was unfriendly on the phone to begin with.

Solid selection of new and old vinyl, arranged in easy to search sections. There’s a ton of indie rock, classic and metal with a small selection of punk rock. Front desk person was really cool to talk to and looked to find a few obscure records that I randomly tossed out. None were available but he was super helpful. Masks are mandatory and sanitizer and gloves were available at the door, which is always cool.

Superb! I am from Spain. I ordered a vinyl lp from Kimbra, which actually was a very difficult one to find here in my country.All the time I received an excellent attention by all the stores staff. I got my copy today, via USPS, and thats all because the good job from We Got the Beats store. Thanks to you all, I know Ill repeat as soon as I find an interesting item for my collection.Keep safe. Great shop! Nice selection of used records, and they’re always stocked with plenty of new releases. Definitely the best selection of used records of any shop in South Florida by far.Also, they handle RSD very well - it’s painless here, and always have all RSD releases setup and easy to get to.

Stopped in here on the whim and left out with about six records that I had been looking for forever. The gentleman at the counter guy was super helpful and even helped me order some stuff that I will be looking forward to getting in the future. The store has a great selection and a great atmosphere I would highly recommend anyone stop in here.

Odd experience. Some odd good vinyl in the racks but can’t say it was a positive experience prices are high compared to most other shops, records are not protected in plastic sleeves and many in bad condition, owner refuses to give any sort of discount on major bulk buys (we are talking over $200) and frankly needs to work on basic courtesy and friendliness towards the punters. Nowadays there is a lot of competition from other physical stores and online and to be honest I found the whole experience disconcerting and frustrating. I would stick to better stores I the area such as Radioactive, Found Sound (young owner and very enthusiastic plus good stock)or Record Rack, these places have much better prices and a much friendlier experience overall.Disappointing and needs massive improvement.

This store is great for Rock music lovers. Solid selection of new 80s and 90s vinyl reissues. Pretty limited selection of new electronic music, though they had a ton of 12 singles to dig through when I was there.

Great record store. Great inventory and selections. Items can sometimes be priced high (new releases/stock), but they generally have the majority of the staples in stock. Great inventory of used. The used albums are priced low and are generally in very good condition or better.Guy makes this store! He knows his music and is always very friendly.

Wow! Its the best record store in town. It has a nice blend of used (very reasonably priced) and new records. Nice staff that has a surprisingly comprehensive working knowledge of the stock. After they got to know me and the artists I normally look for, they will pull them as they come in and let me know with no obligation to buy. Just a hey, thought of you when I saw this, kind of deal. Everybody wins in that case: I get the record I want, and they make a little money. BINGO!Plus, if they dont have something, they will try to find it. I had them order me a record, and it actually arrived very quickly.Definitely a loyal customer here. I took a friend as well, and they are hooked too.

I cant say enough great things. Im a novice; Ive just started getting back into records. This place is amazing. Theres no pressure; they just let you do your thing, but if you need help its readily available. The selection is EXTENSIVE and the prices are great. I will definitely be back.

A good variety of different types of music. I was especially pleased to see they had a metal / Punk section. some other cool stuff besides records and CDs to buy. a really cool Run DMC backpack caught my eyes and lots of magazines

Looking for Aldis on almost all the old mediums vinyls old CD music from the 60s 70s and 80s and above and Boitano vinyls I was impressed. See you looking for something old in music and entertainment check this place out they do have DVDs as well. A surprise in the middle of Oakland Park area. Go check it out, be prepared to stay for awhile is a lot of titles.

I went for remastered 180 gram vinyl and wasnt disappointed. Lots of variety both old and new. Theyve got lots of used too. Took me back to one of my favorite things when I was younger...digging through the bins!

Very expensive vinyl.prices.Some rarities offered though,some hard to find pieces priced accordingly to high ebay prices.also some sale cds.and some expensive used cds as well I can see no reason why.Priced the way you expect to be on a used record store,and Imean 25 % off high internet prices I could have bought lots I ended up getting only some sale vinyls

We Got the Beats is different than the other record shops in the area. On one hand, if youre looking for secondhand rock LPs but dont want to do a heck of a lot of digging, its a win. Records in this category can generally be found sold in the state they were discovered in. Sometimes its a bit rough but you cant go wrong for $3 an LP. There are more great finds in the front of the store for a few more bucks. These are generally more rare and in better shape. $5 and up. 80s records have their own section in the store, too which I appreciate.What sets this store apart from others is their inventory of R&B/Rap/Popular music: new and reissues. Most stores in the FTL area have new/reissued Rock and Punk LPs (these guys do too), but nobody gets the amount of new releases in these other categories that arent as popular among most record collectors (at least that Ive talked to). Its not my main preference so it shouldnt mean anything to me, but it does. I respect it.The staff is helpful. Im always left alone to browse and Ive always been helped when I need it. Though Ive only been here a few times and I may not visit this store every week it is definitely worth shopping at. Ill be stopping by every once in a while for sure.

Do not go to this place if youre selling DVDs they offer you pennies for them. Your lucky to get $0.05 per DVD you bring them what a rip off

We decided to go on a vinyl quest one Saturday and We Got the Beats was the second stop on quest. WGTB is a small, cozy little store with a pretty decent selection. A large portion of the inventory is taken up with re-issues and some collectors pieces. there are two large tables full of used records from various decades. Like the other record shop in FtL, WGTB focuses on dance and new releases with country being shoved into where ever it fits. The owner obviously has a love of 80s New wave as there is quite an ample selection of discs from my misspent youth. The owner opened up his storeroom fro us to dig around in the stacks of 45s which had not made the cut (45s being a select market). Wed go back, Its a cute place.

Very friendly staff that knows what they have in stock and have to order. I also like that the store is organized by genre instead of media type. For example, all disco LPs, CDs and cassettes are in one section instead of being separated into different departments.
