This is by far the most unprofessional gym that Iβve been to. If I could give zero stars I would. Iβm so disappointed. I was on my way to have a workout session on 8/17/2021 when I was told by the rude manager Diana who lacks empathy. That I canβt use the gym because of a balance for the training sessions that I purchased.( That I canceled a month ago.) Mind you no ones pays for these out of shape trainers. Not only did I purchase a trainer Iβm also a lime member. So Iβm not understanding why I canβt use the gym when I pay monthly for the old equipment. Iβm not one to leave reviews but after spending so much money with this gym and now being told I canβt use it. The disrespect. Stay away from this gym. They just want to steal your money.Update : itβs now 8/19/2021 and no one has responded to my email but someone has responded to my review. The lack of communication is so sad. The new lady GM Dayana is the best Manager to run this gym by far. She is sweet and very helpful. Overall the gym is very clean and the employees are all friendly. What a change!

This is the best youfit I have been to in Broward county, the staff is awesome, polite and energetic. Ken and Dianna is the best staff the place could have hired. The should be the manager, always willing to help and go above and beyond for their clients. This will be my primary location to workout from now on.

Just happen to be shopping at Publix and decided to stop by to see how the gym was and possibly sign up for a member ship. The front desk manager is extremely rude I asked for a tour and was rudely told I need to come back another time when there was more staff available. I ask could I find more info online about the personal trainers and pricing she told me she was the new general manager and I needed to come back BECAUSE she was to busy which I can understand but then MN when I come back same general manager is there again and I kindly say hello and she tells me I have to give her 100 deposit cash with my id. To tour the gym now.im not that big on gyms but Ive never heard of that before so I felt like I was getting scammed and told her I was not interested corporate should really look into that!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I have been a member since May 2021 and already Ive had 2 billing issues. They tell you theyre running a promo for $1 but they bill you $53 and months later bill again for $52 (annual). This time, I had a trainer, Nohemie, that I informed I needed to cancel due to my new work schedule. I was just billed $140 for the training and when I adressed Nohemie she said she thought I was just playing ?? I went to speak to the manager this morning and was told I needed to fill out a form, something my trainer should have mentioned since I dont have paperwork. Long story short, they dont give refunds and my trainer blocked my number because she knew she handled this incorrectly. They told me they will bill me again at the end of the month AFTER IVE ALREADY CANCELLED.THIS IS NOT A GYM, ITS A SCAM !!! MONEY HUNGRY COMPANY!

Update as of 09042021. A one star review would be a gift. My insurance company has been paying for not one, but two monthly memberships under my name. Meanwhile I have trouble getting in the POS gym at all. I think legally that is fraud and a criminal offense - taking money for services not being offered. Diana took all of 20 seconds via phone by the front desk, without any investigation whatsoever to make the determination that my insurance company cancelled my memberships (not true), while this sleazy company continues to cash the monthly checks every month my insurance company pays for this benefit, not once but twice. Meanwhile this asinine reply tells me to send my complaint to corporate. Oh if corporate isnt reading the disastrous reviews on here, that is problem #1. Diana is problem # 1c, followed by the district manager, Steve at 1b, who supposedly resolved this issue on July 30th. 1 star was way too generous. Its negative 3 stars at best. Get your membership bookkeeping and process together. The front desk part-time evening staff doesnt have a clue about membership problems and there is never a management member available to deal with it. Thats where Corporate steps in to resolve the issue once and for all, quickly, instead of just understanding my frustration, which doesnt resolve the problem. Our dues pay everyones salary with the expectation that problems encountered are quickly resolved, not ignored. Next bankruptcy hearing may not go so well. Oh yeah, I shared the review below with your customer service team along with numerous follow ups and the only response I got was what location? with no name, phone number, follow up or anything else. Thats not customer service. If you understand my frustration make it a point to get the problem resolved immediately, in person or by phone. Its only a reason to file a complaint with the BBB, the county, and the state. PATHETIC!!!!!!!!Review below was posted at the end of July, 2021.Doesnt deserve one star. Once again for the second time, this club suddenly decides I dont have a valid membership. Ive been a member since January 2019 (enrolled by Beth) and re-enrolled by Brayden in November 2020. My insurance company has a contract with this club and pays my monthly dues every month for numerous members at this location including myself. There is no corporate contact to call and members have to deal with a revolving door of employees that dont have a clue what is going on. Tell me, how does one keep checking in at a club on a regular basis weekly for months and suddenly they dont have a membership? Ineptly run organization is the answer and Brit was not helpful whatsoever. I hope my insurance company pulls all their insured members from this location and finds a replacement that has a clue what they are doing.

This place is a scam. They have been charging my boyfriends account for a gym membership even though we havenβt been in the state since Covid started. I tried canceling on the phone and was unable to do so.To do this to members who had to move due to a global pandemic is ridiculous.I have to go onto a computer and print an entire document, mail it and send them 10$ cash to cancel.Canceling a membership shouldnβt be this difficult. Everything is paperless and on the computer these days. Thanks Youfit πUpdate: was able to cancel with the help of Willis, who was absolutely fantastic. Talking to cooperate later on this week about getting a refund, as I was also charged for the months where the gym was closed throughout the pandemic. Will update according to cooperate action.

My experience at Youfit in Oakland Park on Commercial has been a great one. The community and feeling of family is what always keeps me coming back. There are 2 Youfits that are closer to me but I still chose to travel to this one. The front desk staff are friendly and hilarious! Nick is the best personal trainer Iβve ever had and he pushes me to reach my goals and to strive to make new ones. And everyone on staff has always gone out of their way to make my experience amazing. Iβm glad to be apart of this Youfit family :) thank you guys!
Jeanette is an exemplary employee, any company would be lucky to have her. I must say that the corporation does everything in their power to see to it that all customers have the best experience at their locations. I was recently deeply moved by their actions. I am a strong believer that actions speak louder than words and they stood by what is right.

BEWARE! This location talked my college son into monthly personal training with the premise they could cancel within a week. Not the case. Its $135 a month and they wont let him out of it. College student with no job in the middle of a pandemic charging that kind of money. We are working to get out of it as he only did one session and it has been a process. No one cares, they just want the money.
Love the huge space this place has. I am curious though, are the showers open here by any chance? I plan on going here early in the morning, but it is only 1.5 miles away if I need to come back home and shower before work. Please let me know.
I have had such a great experience since I have been a member of this gym. From the moment I walk in, I am greeted with friendly and professional employees and managers. Shane, Grayden, Willis, Anthony, and Fred are always greeting me and the other members with a smile (under their masks) and a great attitude!!! They also have someone cleaning the machines every time I am there. Thank you for all you do!!!

Really nice gym. Social distancing has half of the machines shut down but thats just temporary... hopefully. Plenty of free weights, good selection, lots of treadmills, bikes, etc. Staff is friendly for the most part.
Nice staff, basic gym. Lots of free weights and cardio equipment. Machines, ehhhh. They have social distancing and mask rules though they are not enforced the way they should be. I see the same people walking around with out masks consistently. At $10 a month, you get what you pay for.

Do notttttt come there this may have been my worse experience with a gym..I signed up for a member ship and training and ended up having to move after only one and a half months of being there. When I signed up I was told at anytime I can cancel the training as well as my membership as long as I cancel 10 days before my billing cycle so I did and for some reason they still charged me for training. When I went in and asked why they told me I was locked in for 90 days of training and I told them thats not what I was told upon signing up they refused to accommodate me and told me that I would have to pay 160 for the next two freaking months even after I told them that I wouldnt be able to make it to the gym due to a change in my circumstances and health. They are terrible and unwilling to work with you.

Pretty decent gym, although maintenance of some of the machines is lacking, as well as offered equipment. I would really appreciate a trap bar at some point being added. Everyone is whining about masks, but the gym is a privilege, not a right. In FL, masks are not enforced. If youre worried about getting sick, stay home. The place allows everyone to workout out comfortably using social distance. Its up to the member to respect those boundaries. Dont like it? Dont go.
Very poor management. The companys website doesnt allow you to manage memberships so I went in to the gym to cancel. They DELIBERATELY take FOREVER to go through the process in the hope that you will give up and they can continue to collect your money. Then several weeks later I see that I am still getting charged for the training sessions. Apparently the people who processed my membership cancelation were so poorly trained that they didnt know this was separate paperwork from the membership. So I had to go back to the gym where I had to explain all this to another poorly trained clerk. They again took FOREVER but I got it canceled. I reckon this outfit owes me at least $100 for training sessions they knew I wasnt going to use because I had canceled my membership. Dont give these people your money.
Just a bizzare policy at Ufit. They dont allow people to work out if they forgot their towel but they do allow people to work out without masks on. So apparrently you have to have a mask on while walking around but when you are actually working out and expelling more possibly covid carrying air you dont need a mask.
I like the gym but the management is very bad. I lost my debit card and called them to make a payment assuming that they will enter my new card in the system. It turned out they didnβt. So the next payment wasnβt pulled and I called them to make the payment they charged me the late fee. It is not much but whatβs right is right. I talked to the manager and she said they will refund my late fee. I called back 2 times to ask why the refund has not hit my account and they just said the manager is not there and they will talk to the manager . Itβs not much so I just let it go and of course I canceled my membership. I cannot do business w unprofessional people.

I typically go first thing in the morning to get a good workout in to kickstart my day. Facility is always clean and sanitized. The staff is super friendly and greets you when you come in, theyre doing temp checks to ensure everyones safety. This is my favorite YouFit location since its large and has plenty of equipment.

Its not about about Oakland park, you fit in general is just all about money. Tried to cancel my membership before my next billing date and they had to charge me for the next month too. Plus my monthly membership fee is $10 and they had to add a processing fee of $10 for membership cancellation. I just paid my $60 for their yearly subscription. I would rather join a better gym like L A Fitness where you pay the fee straight up unlike these cheap gyms like youfit. Never coming back !!!
Female staff in blue shorts and black sports bra worked out whole time without a mask on. Very unacceptable and multiple coworkers of hers walked by without correcting the issue. Very disappointed that this employee as well as the Youfit in Oakland does not take COVID pandemic seriously. She is not above the pandemic and should be required to wear a mask like everyone else. Very uncomfortable this was allowed to happen for an hour +.
Need more enforcement for wearing masks.There are a few irresponsible people every day in there who are wearing no mask at all, putting everyone at risk. Management needs someone upstairs enforcing masks.
I used to really love this gym but I got up the nerve to come back several months after Covid began and though there are no signs or any update months after the reopening, I was not allowed in because I had no towel and the front desk person was incredibly rude about it. Meanwhile they got very close to me to take my temperature and allowed other people to get close to take their temperatures while I was asking about this ridiculous rule? Thus breaking social distancing but apparently a towel would protect me. Rude, poor handling, very unprofessional and unsafe.
I was always a fan of L.A. Fitness. Youfit didnt have much of an appeal to me in the past. Considering my budget I had to consider a more affordable health club. I was very doubtful that I couldve liked a fitness club that wasnt an L.A Fitness. To my surprise, I am very impressed with their facilities, the maintenance and they have really good equipment even though they may not be considered very modern or up to date compared to other facilities I have attended. They have really good cycling classes that I can actually compare to as to when its just a cycling club, I can definitely recommend YouFit!!!

Terribly disappointing. During Covid it seemed like the gym was trying to do right and allowed us to pause memberships indefinitely (or so they said). Somewhere along the line they decided to reactivate and started βusingβ the months we had paid that we werenβt able to use the service without notifying us. Now I was billed for yet another month. The gym blamed βcorporateβ and Iβve canceled. Iβd have been OK to just be on the hook paying if theyβd said so but donβt try and pull a fast one over on people.
The worst management ever!! Got a text message saying that I have a past due, so I called location and customer service number, at my local gym they told me the same thing about past due, like my card was declined for 4month( 1st question: why nobody contact me right after card was declined), then lady in customer service told me that last card they have on file is American Express credit card ( which is just absolutely impossible since I donβt have any account with American Express) I never changed card information myself, and still have the same cardSo basically I had to pay $60 for July and august membership, and $10 cancellation fee for someone mistake ( or they just trying to make money in any way possible after being closed during pandemic?)Iβve been their customer for over 3 years and never ever I will go back or recommend them to anyone! Clearly the rona aint ending soon so came in to cancel and was told I need to pay 10 bucks to cancel what a money grabbing policy from a location that was not clean and had the most rude staff. I have been going to this gym for the classes for over a year. The staff is friendly and helpful. Maribel (instructor of Total Sculpt and Zumba) is by far the best instructor I have come across. I renewed for the year in large part because of her workouts/classes. Sean (Insanity instructor) is also excellent. I highly recommend them both.

Went back to YouFit-OP for the first time since pandemic, and I felt completely at ease. Required temperature checks & hand sanitization even before you walk inside and safety guidelines clearly posted at entry. All staff are donned in masks and regularly cleaning. Masks are optional when working out, though I chose to keep mine on. Equipment is spaced out appropriately, disinfecting spray & paper towels available at every turn. Most patrons were wiping down stations after use as well. High traffic & high-touch items (such as lockers, showers, GX room, massage beds, etc) are not yet open for use. The early morning was rather quiet & empty, I felt extremely comfortable and safe!
This is definitely my favorite Youfit gym! They have hydro massages that makes your experience amazing. Their front desk employee Beth just gets it. SHe greeted me and my guest and overall was very pleasant. Some people just get customer service and he does. Hopefully someday he moves up in the company. Anyway, the gym is big and has everything you need to workout effectively. This one os my go to Youfit when close by.
Youfits payment policy is bad.Didnβt use the service for 7 months and after Covid they didnβt even want to give me a refund.Planet fitness has better options.

Just started going back here last week. The staff is constantly walking around and sanitizing. They also have multiple stations where you can sanitize equipment yourself.
I have been try to contact them since pandemic. Nobody ever pick up the phone. Email never reply back. But they kept charging me every month. If no one pick up the phone why asking client to call to fix problem
Good size and very affordable
This is a good YouFit and I will agree with what Iβve read from other members about its equipment and the maintenance of same. But, I have fallen way short of giving it five stars because of the cleanliness of the bathrooms, mainly the menβs room on the second floor. There is an odor in that bathroom that literally takes your breath away and burns your eyes. This is been going on for much, much too long. A serious blemish, in my opinion, for an unsanitary bathroom.
Wow, my first visit to this location and it was the biggest one Ive been to. I got lost! Huge bathrooms and plenty of equipment choices plus classes. First place Ive been to that has aqua massage tables - very nice perk. Most of all the staff was very friendly, especially Dominic - super sweet and helpful. His outgoing nature made my visit a positive experience.

The size of this YouFit is perfect and its not too cramped in the free weights area!I would like to see YouFit keep up with the new machines in the industry. HIGHLY anticipating the addition of the hip thrust machine and possibly the hack squat machine.
I have been working out for 30 years and have been to many types of gyms. The Youfit at the Northridge Shopping Center is by far the best all around facility. The staff, personal trainers and equipment are there for all different workouts and their special classes add the perfect touch. I reccomend this gym hands down.

The advertised price is definitely not what these people get you. they hit you with sign-up fees cancellation fees and even after cancellation continue to bill your account unless you fight it. Im waiting for the class action suit to start.

I go here often now more than ever. At least 6 days and in the mornings right at opening. Today Iβve decided to write a review because of how the gym was presented when I worked out this morning. Nothing was put away. There were no paper towels in any of the holders and the trash was over flowing. An hour later after opening is when someone came in to re load the paper towels. How are the clients supposed to wipe the machines before or after themselves without paper towels?? does the equipment even get wiped down? Thereβs paper towels left in the cup holders. Do the employees even check? Are there any other employees besides the front desk and trainers you see walking around? There needs to be someone maintaining the gym equipment throughout the day and making sure itβs continually wiped down to avoid people getting sick which I was just getting over a sickness and kind of think the germs couldβve gotten into my system because of the lack of cleanliness youfit in Oakland park puts into this gym. Clean the equipment and stock the paper towels!!! Gym 101Why the gym responded to my message saying Iβm sorry to hear I work out there 6 days a week? Interesting. Also update 8/12/19 not one paper towel in any of the dispensers. I will keep updating until consistent.
Not matter what business it is, it all boils down to customer service. The majority of the staff at this club will treat you like they are doing you a favor. Recently a very good friend of mine made a simple request and instead of a polite no answer got yelled at by one of the managers and later on got called to inform him that his membership had been cancelled.Do yourself a favor and AVOID this place at all costs, if you are not in a contract CANCEL the membership and join a gym where you will be treated like a real customer.If I could post a ZERO star review I would.
