I called for guidance on a light that came on my dashboard (Volkswagen). Don was super helpful and knowledgeable! He directed me to see my car manufacturer as the issue may be covered under factory warranty as he was familiar with this issue. I had a problem with my 2015 VW battery draining to where you never knew when it would drain and when it would not! It was a nightmare. The shop took the car and went through every possibility which took time as it did not always happen. They never gave up, finally figured out the problem and I would give them 10 stars if I could!

I was referred to autobahn by a friend after having to go to two other places including North dade jaguar dealer. Jason and his team were very professional from start to end. I had a difficult issue with broken stuck fuel injectors and after getting crazy dealer quotes, they were able to fix problem with their special tools on day one for half the price.I recommend them highly.

I just bought a 2017 Touareg and had some questions about the maintenance on it and Don was so helpful and I havent even brought my car to him yet. Genuine guy right there. Will definitely be getting my business.

I had two cars with them and the old ownership was excellent After change of ownership that shop is the worst experience. Didnt know it was sold until a few days ago. The new ownership is unresponsive, records phone call without your permission and runs diagnostics for things you come not in for and forces you to contract for the repair because your car is no longer driving. Hope that someone looks into those questionable business praxis.

After the shop was sold the workmanship is more than poor quality. The new owner is unprofessional and puts our live in danger. Brought the car in for brakes to change and car didnt start when we wanted to pick it up. Turned out they touched the valvetronic system, the actuator, electric shaft and reset the the stop position. Now the car doesnt start and they are not owning up to the damages they did on the car. They want us to drive the car knowing that the messed up the system and putting our live in danger. They also record phone call without people letting them know a Felony in Florida. This business praxis tell it all. One star is even to much.

Had oel pan gasket changed to find out that they charged $5,000+ and it actually was not fixed and changed. Went to BMW for reinspection that found that the oel pan gasket was not changed. Went back and only than they did the work they charged for (hopefully didnt short cut). That business has questionable business praxis.

I found Autobahn Performance shortly after moving to Fort Lauderdale have been a customer for more than four years. They are by far the best shop I have ever been to anywhere. They do good work, are honest, and explain why something needs to be done. They review their work and the billing in detail when the work is completed. Jason is a hands-on owner and is available for questions. His team is excellent. We have brought three cars to this shop over these past four years and we will never go to another shop for diagnostics and repairs. Great job Jason and team.

Brought my Jetta in for an issue with my front driver side wheel. This repair cost $590. In the process of the repair, the break pad was put back on backwards. Discovered this a few weeks later during a mandatory recall at the dealer. To correct this, it cost an additional $147. Emailed Autobahn about the mistake and was never contacted. Highly disappointed.

My S550 was running with a very rough idle and so they told me to go to an Automotive shop and purchase some injector cleaner fluid, which I did.But after trying this twice, I took my car to the big Mercedes dealership in Fort Lauderdale. Turned out that the issue was that my motor mounts needed replacing. Now my car has the perfect quiet idle it had when I purchased it five years ago.

I gave this place a try based on the google reviews but unfortunately from a customer service perspective it did not live up to the hype. I called and spoke with Don and explained my issue, he encouraged me to bring it in right away and would try to have me out the same day. After arriving I noticed the large Trump sign, however I did not allow ones political views to deter me, I should have reconsidered. Don assured me that after he diagnosed the problem he would contact me right away to let me know my options. I received a ride back to my job from one of their workers who cursed and complained the whole ride. It was very disturbing. Five hours later I heard nothing When I got a break from work I noticed it was already 4:30p. I called and Don was nowhere to be found and no one knew the status of my car. Called back again at 5:00p, still no answers and no Don. The guy on the phone basically suggested I try to get a rental at this point as they wouldnt have answers until the next day. Totally unacceptable as I depend on my car and to scramble to get a rental car after five was absurd. I uberd back there as I did not want to deal with their fowl mouth driver and Don magically appeared and rudely told me look your car is gonna take a few days and to basically figure out what I need to do. No quote, no diagnosis after my car was there all day. I took my car and drove it to the nearest Mercedes Benz dealership as I thankfully was able to get an appointment and a loaner before they closed. This place is a total waste of time, I tried this place to save some money, big mistake. I rather pay the extra money at the dealership to get quality service then to deal with people who are unorganized and lack customer service.

Let me tell you, this is probably the best independent auto shop I have ever used. I was a certified master auto mechanic until the 80s and have seen all the funny business at close range. Don is one of the sharpest mechanics I have come across, and also the most honest and customer oriented. I had a problem today, for which he could have easily sold me hundreds of dollars of repairs. Instead researched it and then let me know that VW had an extended warranty on that particular item, and directed me to go to them for repairs. I am so impressed.

These are the GO-TO guys for Sprinter vans with Mercedes engines. They are competent, honest, experienced and helpful. We have a 2008 chassis conversion RV. The Autobahn experts have taken care of any issues, and even fixed what the dealer screwed up. So if you dont want to get ripped off by the dealer, bring your Mercedes to these guys!

Big thank you to Jason Athenas at Autobahn Performance for all his help. I had a really strange gearshift problem on my 2017 S550 Convertible. He worked hard trying to nail down this problem, answered my emails late at night, made telephone calls trying to help us zero in on the cause.We originally decided on having the Torque converter rebuilt. Then, once vehicle was in the shop, Jason raised concerns about having this done. We all know what PITA it is to remove and replace a transmission. What if the so called rebuild did not solve it? How would we know for sure if they had repaired the faulty component? If it was still faulty afterwards, do we trust they did it right and then go replace the whole transmission as thats all that would be left.It was too many uncertainties, the only way to be sure we eliminated any converter problems was to install one from Mercedes, so thats what we did.Just picked the vehicle up, its driving perfectly. Id have bet money at the outset on it not being the converter, Ive fixed over 30 flood damaged cars now, many with transmission water intrusion and these are the first 2 that Ive ever had with this problem. Strange they are both the 9g transmissions, perhaps Mercedes changed someone in the built process to make these more susceptible to water.I highly recommend the guys at Autobahn Performance. Nice to know there are still places that treat you fair and dont nail you to the wall. If you have a Mercedes headache that you cannot pin down and are in central or south Florida, give these guys a call.

Professional operation with polite staff who take the time to explain what went wrong and what the options are. I have an older Mercedes I dont plan to keep after another year or so and they helped me figure out the best solution for my situation. One of the major problems? My old mechanic had the wrong battery in the car and it was delivering enough power to drive the car but not enough to make it work well. Very satisfied!

We are European car enthusiasts and as such own and love several nice cars. We used to bring our classic 560SL and our G500 to Mercedes-Benz of Miami. Bad bad bad idea!!! Bad service, bad repairs and overpriced! One day a friend told us about Autobahn so we decided to give them a try. As soon as we arrived it became immediately clear they KNOW their business. They are VERY knowledgeable, fast and efficient. Their prices are truly honest - they are not the cheapest ones in Miami but in my experience certainly TRUE value for money. Ever since my vehicles have ONLY been at Autobahn for service, maintenance and repairs several times and so far they have never failed or disappointed. Very happy we found them!

I took my car into Autobahn Perfomance a while ago, but I do remember the staff and service was excellent. I broke down around the shop, and brought the car in while it was overheating and barely drivable. I bought a sprinter that had an emissions problem, Jason was well aware of the problems these trucks had and made the repair quick and painless. Since that time, I trust him with my 99 CL and he always treats me fairly and doesnt kill me as far as the price goes. I never really thought there was a honest mechanic but I see why people say Jason is. I cant tell you how much i recommend him but by writing this review I hope to share my experience with others looking for a good, qualified german car mechanic!

This Guys know what they are doing, I went to a few shops with my Audi a4 and I was told that my problem can not be solved and they were not willing to try either. This guys told me that they are going to try and if they cant do it theres going to be no charge. Autobahn fixed the issue I am very happy with them and I would recommend them to anybody!!!

I honestly dont know how these people got this many good reviews. I went to them with my BMW 328i because it had a brake warning light. I am rather busy and have no time to deal with this myself, but they didnt know this. They thought that I had no idea what is involved in changing brake pads. They lifted my car, hooked it up to a scanner and came back with an estimate. Both front and back brake pads needed to be changed. Front and back rotors too. Price for that? 1549. And if I do it today they will change my brake fluid too for only 59.95.They cited 4 hours for changing brake pads and another 4 for changing rotors. In reality, changing front and back brake pads is a 20 minute job and changing rotors is 45 minutes if you are really slow. If you dont believe me check videos of these jobs on youtube.What they didnt know is that I changed rotors 2 months ago. Front brake pads had half an inch left and didnt even activated the sensor.So, all in all, only rear brake pads needed to be changed and they wanted to overhaul my whole breaking system for 1559.95.I went to different mechanic and they did the job for 150.Preposterous!

Mechanics are lazy when it comes to working on their own cars, so I take my car to Autobahn because they will always do the job cortetly and my car is a Volvo which is a pain in the booty to work on. Im very satisfied with Jason and his team.

This place seems to have changed from when I was referred to them 7 years ago, through USAA, the insurance company for the military. Then it was a 1999 Mercedes E320 I brought which required a hefty repair at $900 because it wouldnt start (EIS). This time I brought a 1984 rare classic turbodiesel Mercedes 300CD 2 door coupe that was having battery/alternator problems, an emergency where the alternator was not charging the battery and I could easily get stranded. They repeatedly and immediately were trying to make me buy an alternator for a car that I told them has had belt issues. The shop is called Autobahn but somewhere along the way I think they have lost respect for the integrity of Mercedes engineering. I think it has grown and has too much work and too many people working and isnt living up to the name. When there are problems with their service though, they treat you fairly.

They revived my 1985 Mercedes 300D, and stayed within my budget. Best mechanics in the business for European cars. Period!

Don was a great project manager for the restoration of my wifes 2000 VW Cabrio. It looks and runs better than it has in 10 years. Excellent communication during the entire process via texting, and photographs of each line item as completed -- headlights, shifter knob, vacuum hoses, etc. One of the best experiences Ive ever had with a garage. Highly recommend.

I have had my car there four times now - over the past 3 years - each time they have the car ready when they said, the bills are more than reasonable compared to the large dealerships and they really do seem to know what they are doing - something I never felt at the large dealerships.
