This store is not the JC Penny store that use to be. This company charges full amounts for less quality merchandise. They do not carry good dresses, or skirts anymore. The store is not bright, and clothes are not displayed well. Their shoes have become cheaply made, and the staff could care less about service to their customers. You can not find anyone to help you,answer questions,etc. But,you can find what staff they have,hanging around the check out counter, talking. I stood at the jewelry counter for 5 min. waiting for someone to come wait on me.Left without being talked to, or helped.Very disappointed in Pennys!

Workets are rude man manager needs somewhere else to work. It should be about helping consumers and making a sale. Know why they went bankrupt.

I go hard in there full on clearance section. And at the end of the day I save 3 xs the amount I spend and Im talking name brands for unbeatable prices. And I come out better then the prices at Walmart to me saving money is everything.

Its a convenient location, not as much to choose from as Turkey Creek store, some of the employees are a bit rude when you need help, they just say I dont know 😳🤨 really ok .. then go find someone that does ... go find out ... do something ! Other than that good sales. ok selectionon clothing.

HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED!! Not alot to choose from for work shoes with closed in toes.

Came in to return some online purchases, that didnt fit. We wanted to exchange for the same thing but wanted it to fit. Best we could do was get a credit on our card and we can reorder and see if that will fit. Doesnt appear to be anyone working with the clothing and the young lady wasnt going to leave the customer service desk or call for someone to come help... I went to the jewellery department and the girl their came to help.

My hair stylist, Ms. Garcia Gaedenia at the JC Penney hair salon, does an excellent job and is professional in every aspect of her job. Leaves me feeling good about myself, and my hair! Garden is a great asset to the company 🤗❤💯

Very nice cashier! Unfortunately, this location did not have a great selection of girls clothes and dresses. Fitting rooms are still closed. Luckily, everything did fit my daughter or we would have to drive back for returns.

I love the Oak Ridge Penneys! They have a great selection, and the prices are great. Someone said on here they were high, but they must not have come in during one of their fantastic sales or used the JCP coupons. I can just about find anything I need here. I do wish though they carried wide width womens shoes.

We were looking for a watch for my husband, specifically a Timex. Evidently a few people called out of work. One of the staff was assisting my husband, one person was running a register between ladies and mens apparel. It was a frantic situation at best. Someone was trying to get our sales person to help them in another department. She called on the radio for help. The other sales associate yelled back that she was busy too. We werent ignored, she continued to help us. It didnt take long, there wasnt much of a selection. Both associates were frazzled, customers were upset because of the lack of help. I felt sorry for the associates but they truly needed to maintain a personable attitude. Ive worked retail, I understand the struggle. But yelling back and for to each other and grumbling/complaining to the customers is less than professional.

It was not very crowded, but I enjoyed shopping there

They had some great buys on Levi jeans. Also St John Bay shirts. End of the summer mens shirts and shoes. Take your time and look. Lots of good buys.

The childrens clothing was almost non-existent. It was really sad. Same for bedding..there were no comforters and very few pillows.

The only reason i gave you only 3 stars was because you dont have any mobile chairs for for people who have a hard time walking. My dad had a very hard time getting to your shoes. Im a life long customer,I have been sense i was 15,i love JC, and will always shop there, to me JC Penney is American as apple pie. Keep up the good work and i will keep spending my hard earn dollars there

I was very disappointed in the Knoxville mall, and Oakridge store. They were very short staffed. In both areas. No one worked in shoes. The only checkouts were in the front of the store. I was told that the shoe department is now self serve. There were many shoppers in both stores. I talked to them. They all agreed with me. There was no one to help. Sorry JCPenney your not among my favorites anymore.

Hard to find the things you need sometimes. Especially Levi jeans. They give out discounts but never on name brand which is mostly all that is in the store..

JCPenney has been in oak ridge as long as I remember. Even when most stores have come and gone, Pennys has staying power. I think its because they have quality clothes at a reaoan price plus there are always great sells that make prices even lower. I clothed both my children through Pennys sales when they were young. They have good selection on shoes, home goods and assorted products. There jewelry counter has a good selection of cheap and more expensive jewelry. There are multiple registers throughout store and is usually quick to checkout.

Store super clean... the deals in this store....OMG.... got some great bargains!!!... the staff was so nice and helpful... I usually go to Turkey creek....not any more ....this is my new home store....

No clerk to help, hard to find dressing room and when I did, there were no hooks on wall and no furniture to place your items on. Totally bare room . They are remodelling but still open for business. Should have been more customer oriented.

I go to JCPenney all the time! I love the service there usually. Elizabeth is a helpful lady and I love her enthusiasm. The newer girl there is not helpful and is not stylish. I don’t think crocs belong in the workplace.

This is one of the best stores. Its very organized and even though its a good size store you can find what youre looking for easily because of how its organized.

Cashier was helpful and offered me a coupon that saved me 50 percent additional off a new winter coat. I got a coat for 80 percent off.

I say this because it is now closed and it made me very sad when i went there so i feel i should say something nice about the dead. This store is (was) right down the street from where i just moved to. I walked over one late afternoon and there wasnt a car in the parking lot. I thought it was closed but i went up to the entrance and nope ...it was open. I went in and it was like i stepped into a retail version of The Twilight Zone. Employees in their places at counters and registers, music playing peacefully and softly in the background. All the merchandise neatky arranged and stocked....AND NOT ONE CUSTIOMER (besides me and i am poor and wasnt going to be purchasing anyway). I walked from mens apparel through kitchen products, past fine jewelry and completed the circle back at the entrance. The employees nodded and smiled as i passed knowing i would not be buying anything because they knew no one was buying anything there. It was as if Tinkerbell was fading into death because no one was applauding. I wanted to cry and thought how iv i won the lottery i would go back and purchase everything in the store and thusly resurrect them. To win lottery you need a dollar and a dream...had the dream but not the buck. So i left them ...the island of misfit retail workers...hoping Santa would pass by and gst then...but he didnt. So, J C Pennys in Oak Ridge...Goodbye...you are in a happier place now. Say hi to Radio Shack for me!

Older building, several water leaks in the ceiling when we were there. But they have great stock on hand and the employees know how to take care of a customer. So it makes up for the crappy parking lot and building.

JCP have some great savings going on.

My son brought up a pair shoes that he thought was 50% off. It turned out they werent. I got distracted while discussing the shoes with him and didnt notice that the top I purchased that was supposed to be 40% off was not. I will be returning both items. The shoes because we found them elsewhere for much less. The top because I really dont like it enough to pay full price plus it frustrates me when things do not ring up as priced. The 40% off sign was on the entire rack of tops so I know it wasnt hung there by another customer.

Rude staff. I asked a lady where the womens Levis were located and she rudely stated over there where all the other womens clothes are at I had to stand in line at the cash register to ask the cashier so that she could point out that they were on a table.

I actually love JCPenney, however, this specific location is small and rarely ever carries anything in my size. I always end up driving to the West Town Mall location.

I am not sure about this particular JC Penney store. When we arrived, they opened a few minutes late, and when inside, it felt as if they were very short on merchandise. I used to work for JCP and I dont ever recall keeping the store so empty. We left almost immediately, because they didnt have the products we were looking for. It should also be noted that we were never approached by someone to help us find anything.

Soooo, Im trying to figure out if this is really JC Penney or a fancy goodwill. Hardly ever any shoes, clothes fall apart and never can find an associate

Store is not crowded. Helpful salespeople in the departments. Lots of inventory.

Employees are grouchy and unwilling to help. Follow you as if they are your new shadow but when approached with a question, they know nothing or disappear quickly.
