Love the new store. Very clean. Kid friendly carts. Good produce. Love the sushi, cheese, and meat/butcher stations. Love the wine selections. Very happy to have this elevated Kroger in my neighborhood. Its saving me from having to drive other places for groceries.

Do you love waiting in line? If so, then this place is for you! Want some deli meat? There’s a line! Want a steak or some seafood? Line! And then, best of all, when you go to check out, you get the mega line!There is a whole entire self checkout section that I never see open because everyone here loves lines so much! Same with the meat and deli counter - why have the proper ammonia of staff when everyone who comes to your store loves waiting in line!?Also my kid loves the race car grocery carts. Nothing more fun than constantly asking her not to crawl out of it when She’s bored out of her mind waiting 20 minutes in a line to checkout.

Ive been a long standing Kroger customer since 1995. Wow! This company has really evolved. When you walk into this new store it has the Wow Factor! The fresh produce, meat, and deli is always stocked fresh.They have a variety of cheese, and breads. What ever your taste may be, they have it. The expansion of the new store shows just how much they appreciate their customers.

Today I went to shop at this Southfield/Oak Park location. I have absolutely NO idea how this branch has received any good reviews. This has to be the worst Kroger in the state of Michigan. Ive tried giving them the benefit of a doubt since theyve only been open for a short period of time. Well, that grace period has come and gone. It makes no sense that I can go in looking for two items and 99% of the time I might walk out with one. I would rate this store a zero 0 if that was an option. Im truly disappointed at the Management team. Ill stick to my Plymouth store from now on. 🤬

This store is very new and its been pretty busy since they opened but today they only had a few lines open. 2 sections of self register that was moving pretty smoothly. Hopefully they can open more registers during this holiday season and this whole month will probably be very busy there.

Great new market. Love the location and the size. They have a great selection and a lot of parking. The only issue was with the self-checkout machines, which were slow and often didnt scan items properly.

The store is very nice HOWEVER THE LINES ARE ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. Lines clear to the back I the store with only 2 lanes open. Why have all those self services lanes and not have them OPEN? Dont plan to go back anytime soon.

I can honestly say I hardly ever review anything or any place. I went there for a grocery pick up today and when they were loading the groceries into my van their cart smashed into it. I would have been understanding, but they ignored it and said nothing was wrong, however I got out an realized there was damage to my van. They basically placed the blame on me (even though it hit in exact spot of damage). I am a completely understanding person, but there was not one single apology from a staff member (including the manager). I would literally go to any other Kroger than this one, and this one is only 2 minutes from my house.

Moving this store to this location was an improvement. The store is larger, brighter and has a wider selection of goods. It even has an olive bar which there was no room for before they moved. The aisles are wider also. The only negative is the parking lot seems smaller, but the positive is there is a gas station now.

So glad they moved from there old location down the street in Southfield and didnt bring all those rude employees with them to the new location. I always believed if you take a job do your best no matter what. The employees at the old location were just rude and unfriendly. The staff at the new store are so nice and professional. Some of the old staff that I seen that worked hard made it to the new store. Management keep up the good work.

Only one cashier open in the whole store. There were 14 people in line waiting for over a half hour to be checked out. The line for the one bank of you scans was all the way to the back of the store.

What an upgrade from the old store a mile south. One of the largest Krogers I have been in. I love that they have sushi now and you can ask to have some made as you like it. The fresh fruit and flowers have more items and the frozen food have more speciality items. Look forward to shopping here.

I had one of the worst customer service experience at this particular location and of all places. You would think they, customer service and associates, Dave or David would know better. Would know better than to try to lie about their coupon policy, mislead me, give me attitude, the runaround, be outright rude, disrespectful and obviously unprofessional. While waiting, at selfcheck out after being questioned about the coupon, I was later approached by a short statured female from customer service, without a badge or identification or I would list her name, was told abruptly, by her I couldnt use the coupons on mark down items. All I did at that point was ask is that a policy and can I see where in the policy it states that. At that time she wasnt able to validate the policy showing I wasnt allowed to use the coupon. She stormed off mid conversation so at this point Im thinking shes not credible so I go directly to customer service to speak to someone credible and professional so I thought but that didnt happen. Her supervisor, Dave was just as rude, mis informative, argumentative, and disrespectful as she was. As soon as I asked Dave of customer service the coupon policy he began to say say he cant pay me for the item. I always thought it was the other way around, the coupon pays for the item. I was attempting to pay the store using the coupon. The real issue isnt the coupon its the fact that the customer service department doesnt know how to properly and professionally service their customers. At least learn your coupon policy and be prepared to show customers if need be. Also learn customer resolution and then walk away. Instead of telling me I could go look it up for myself and I did. No where does it state that my coupons were not allowed.

They definitely need to do something about the employees who work here. Older woman name Michelle was working at the cash register at 10:30 pm, Gave me an extremely hard time when trying to purchase an item that was on sale for 1.99 I noticed she was being rude to other customers as well. She made me download the Kroger app because it was a digital coupon and made me feel embarrassed to stand in line trying to get the discount while 3 people waited behind me, As I looked for the discount in line she would not help me navigate through the app at all, As I am seeing impaired. Please give people who really need these jobs a chance because clearly she isn’t happy to work for Kroger at all. Sadly my Spouse is writing this review for me because I am partially blind. :( I could hear her rude voice the entire time.

Very clean store and organized this review is getting two stars for the overcrowding during covid and the representatives monitoring the self check out. Woman had a terrible attitude she rolled her eyes I asked for help about a coupon I had she told me I didn’t clip it I tried to explained it was already there she cut me off and said I just saw you clip it. I clipped an additional one to show her what I did. Even before getting to self check out my husband and I was looking at which one was open she said “they open” really stank. This is one of the worse locations in Southeast MI. Theyre relocating down the road soon but if the same employees will be there it wont be with the drive. The store holds produce that is nowhere near fresh, I had to bag my own groceries with 2 young children in tow; I felt like I was shopping from rejected items, didnt even get all what I needed from my small grocery list- VERY SCARCE. Just a wasteful and unenjoyable trip coming here.

Bad experience. Went there at 7:00 AM to do grocery shopping. No cashiers open, had to go to self check out. The line is extremely long. There is a 12 item limit at the self check out and no lines open and we had about 70 items in the buggy. So if you have more than 12 in your buggy you need to pay when you get to 12, then check out, scan the next 12 then pay. And you have to keep doing that until all items are paid for. If you go over the 12 that the light comes on to see a clerk. One clerk and everybodys light is on. We were there at the self check out for an hour. There was 1 cashier until 8:00.

The workers are horrible. They are rude as heck. I had literally 5 different incidents in one visit. One almost hit me with a basket and death stared at me like do something. Then the cashier Michele was being passive aggressive about scanning my waters, I literally cannot come back to this location. I spoke with Marcus the Store Manager he said hed have a general talk with all of the staff about their rudeness. So hopefully that talk happens and they get better.

Terrible customer service. 11 am and the shelves are nearly empty. Only 3 checkout lanes open, all with at least 7 pie in line. Lots of employees walking around doing nothing and unwilling to help you find anything. I will never return to this location.

1. Bottle return is segregated from everything including security and care. Room is in the OUTSIDE SE corner.2. I dont need to go through a maze and ask a dozen workers to find frozen foods, bread and the exit.3. I needed a family grocery store not a gormet store competitor. I guess sine this is in the burbs, I dont qualify as a target customer but they closed/consolidated my neighborhood store.

Staff is not properly trained. Someone broke a dish in the check out line and after 10 minutes the cashier decides it is her job to clean it up. She touches the broom, the dust pan, the broken plate and the garbage can. Then comes back to checking out the person in front of me, touching all of the groceries without washing her hands. There were plenty of baggers that just stood around doing nothing that could have helped. I went out of line and left my cart.All of the checkout lines were at least 5 customers deep. I had already wasted 15 minutes waiting for only two people ahead of me when she decided to clean. It may be worth going to the 12 mile and Stephenson store even though this is walking distance from my house.

Just stopped for gas at the new Kroger gas station in Oak Park, MI on Greenfield. The Fuel Leader, Barb, provided excellent customer service. She even showed Iyesaha, a new trainee, how to ring up my special request. Iyesaha was friendly as well. Good job Kroger!!!

I was in a bind when the lady who makes my cakes didnt come through. Our sons birthday is tomorrow and after calling 4 or 5 other Krogers and getting NO HELP and dry boo hoo like responses, April helped me order exactly what I need! I wanted to get a Kroger cake because they always taste great and I didnt want any more surprises before our sons 1st birthday. I was getting really nervous we wouldnt have a cake to match his theme. Im so thankful that I got someone who cares to help on the line, sometimes the simple things can make a persons day, so thank you so much! I really appreciate you!

Clean store because its new. Employees brought their attitudes with them. Too few cashiers, prices are higher than the other Kroger stores. Deli, sushi bar had no employees to help. Eventually, this store will be like the one it replaced; dirty with rude employees and a filthy restroom.

Worst kroger Ive ever visited. If this store wasnt so close to my house I would never come here again. Never stocked. Shelve always dishelved. Carts are never available. Long lines always. Cant wait for the kroger to open in Oak Park to open. I would never recommend this store to anyone, even my worst enemies.Revised:Since moving locations the new building looks nice but they still have the same terrible service. Its a shame. ***Edit/Update 02/2020 - Updated from 1 star to 5 stars, the new location is amazing, Im so glad they did away with the old location. Not only is this store brand new, its huge, well organized, has an amazing bakery, deli, meat counter, multiple times the size as the old store. I now look forward to visiting where before I dreaded it. Keeping my 1-star review of the old location below for posterity.I occasionally visit this location despite having nothing but negative experiences there because it is located across the street from my home. The store is always dirty, there are always empty shelves, and the employees never smile or go out of their way to assist customers. When I visited today to return some bottles and pick up a few essentials, I arrived at the recycling room to find a line and that none of the machines were functional. The customers waiting told me that they had already spoken to two employees and assured me someone was on the way. We waited together for 10 minutes before they gave up and left. I waited another five minutes before going to the customer service counter to request help of my own. The woman at the customer service counter didn’t smile, didn’t look at me, and mumbled to the point I could barely hear her. She called an employee to the recycling room and asked me to return there to wait. I went back, and five minutes later an employee showed up, checked the machines, and went to leave. I asked how long it may take to fix the machines, if I should wait or go and come back, they ignored me and left. A few minutes later another employee came, and the same thing happened. At this point I called the corporate number, they referred me to the regional manager, and they got the store manager on the phone. They came back to me to tell me that the manager would be right over, I thanked them, was relieved, and hung up. The manager showed up, didn’t look at me, didn’t say a word to me, attempted to fix the machines for a couple of minutes, and then left without a word. At this point I was so upset I left my cart of groceries, with my bag of returnables, and left the store. In all, I spent 45 minutes in the store waiting to return my cans and bottles, spoke with at least 4 employees, and not one of them apologized, not one of them smiled, not one of them told me how long it may take for the machines to be fixed, and not one of them for a moment acted like they cared about the time I wasted waiting around for them to do their jobs. I understand that machines break, that’s why we have “out of order” signs. I understand unexpected things happen, that’s why we keep customers informed of our progress so that they don’t stand around waiting for nearly an hour. After this experience I hope to never step foot in this location again, it’s an embarrassment to the Kroger franchise.

A six page letter was submitted to management, regarding a cashier name Stephanie. I am waiting on a response. She conducted herself unprofessional and unethical. Spoken very negative about an employee calling her negative names, threw my receipt at me. When asked for her name, she turned badge around. Because of my profession correction officer and worked at the Prosecutor Office. Use of profanity calling the employee a b×××× and me when she asked my total to look on my receipt and threw it to me walking away calling me a b××××. Is unacceptable. I will continue to investigate and take it further. I spend $83 in the store. I dont want her fire, but trained how to deal with customers and her conflict with an employee shouldnt been done in the present of customers. I am going to take measurable step to ensure not me but others experience this form of behavior. Time 1:13 p.m on 3/29/2020.
