Jerry did a thorough job of inspecting and cleaning my 50+ year old boiler. He checked out every aspect of the system and it is running perfectly. He is knowledgeable and professional and his cheerful attitude was a plus!

Chicagoland installed our new furnace years ago and everything was fine until we recently had our vents cleaned by another company and suddenly had a loud booming noise after the heat shut off. The technician came the day after I called, he explained what we were doing wrong, tested everything to be sure the noise had stopped. We couldnt be happier!

Hey Chicagoland- I reached out on 5/26/21 and 6/3/21 and have not been contacted back regarding work still not completed that is spelled out in my signed contract with the owner, Skip. A phone conversation with “Joe” the new guy, led to him telling me nothing else was going to be done about the unfinished work. Is that what happens once your company has payment in full? Waiting for satisfaction...***Update** I contacted Chicagoland as they had asked. We were able to reach an agreement. They came out to my home at the end of July and completed the work to my satisfaction. Thank you, Chicagoland.

I woke up this morning without heat. I called Chicagoland and they came out the same day. Rob came out and determined that the blower motor needed to be replaced. He was able to get the part for my furnace and complete the repair the same day. My furnace and AC is 20 years old (Chicagoland has serviced my furnace/AC annually for the past 17 years). As usual, Rob was very professional, on time, and was able to resolve the issue.Additionally, Rob shared with me the cost of other repairs that may be needed in the future. He let me know that if I wanted to replace my unit, within 30 days, the cost that I paid for the blower motor can be applied to a newly installed system. This was extremely helpful so that I know all of my options.

Theres a short bald guy who is a driver. He was interacting with me while I was inside my car trying to be a tough guy and provoke me to say something. This happened late June when the train was stuck on the tracks. I thought it was hilarious but obviously unprofessional. I was not frightened and he kept trying to stare me down and talk tough. Whats up shorty?

We woke up today with no heat. I called in the morning and spoke with someone and was advised I would get a call back from one of there service men. We got a call from Rob and we spoke briefly of what was the problem and he gave us a estimate time frame he may arrive, we did tell him it was urgent because we had three little kids and it is really cold today. He arrived and was very professional and fast. He had the part available with him, explain to us everything that he was doing and what we need to do to maintain and service our heating system. Ive been using this company every year since the fall of 2016. They are very professional and very knowledgeable. I scheduled my maintenance every year with this company and the technicians always been able to answer my questions and concerns. Today I had the pleasure in having Rob maintenance my furnace and he was very professional and knew his stuff. He was very thorough when cleaning the burners, condensate trap etc. Ill be sure to contact this company on a yearly basis to get my furnace/AC maintenance and specifically ask for Rob again.

We replaced our heating and air conditioner system and added two new vents in the basement, Jay was able to accommodate us the following week after we called them and everything was done in 1day. Yesterday my AC stopped working. I noticed the fan outside was not working. Called Chicagoland and the answering service took my information down and less than 5 minutes later a gentleman named Jerry called and told me he would be at my house in 10 minutes. To my surprise he really did show up in 10 minutes quickly diagnosed and fixed the issue in about 20-25 minutes. Jerry was very kind and explained everything. Very very professional. I would not hesitate to call them again and I plan on recommending them to all my family and friends. Only a tiny tiny negative was the price..... service call price was normal and to be expected what I thought was totally overpriced was the capacitor. Charged me 95$ for the capacitor when you can get a similar product on Amazon for 19$. That being said, I still gave them 5 stars because of the awesome service that was provided and how fast they came and fixed the issue. Thank you Chicagoland

Ive been a long-time customer of Chicagoland Heating and Air.This evening I came home from being away for a couple of days and my air conditioner had gone out, my house temperature was 97 degrees! Chicagoland not only responded quickly but they were at my house within the hour! Serviceman Robert,was kind, efficient really knew what the problem was, got the unit up and running again!! I cannot say enough about Rob and Chicagoland!! So dont waste your time with the others,have a problem call Chicagoland!! And for a late night service the price I thought was reasonable too!Thank you Chicagoland and Robert!!👍

I cannot even begin to tell you what a nightmare this company is. They DO NOT STAND BY THEIR WORK! I had a new furnace and hot water heater installed after a flood. They used old pipes for the hot water heater, it started spraying water everywhere. They didnt return my call. I had it fixed by someone else and they wouldnt honor the warranty.Yesterday, my air conditioner was leaking. I called the emergency number at 10:30. I received a return call at 3:34, 5 hours later. Yes, this is Chicagoland Heating & Air. You had an emergency? Yes, like 5 hours ago.And, the person that did fix my issue told me the people that installed my furnace didnt even give me a completely new furnace.I will NEVER use this place again. I am calling the Better Business Bureau about their refusal to give me the warranty information.

Tech, Alex, was the same guy who came out a few years ago. Got here on time, called before he got here. Was incredibly polite, got the job done quickly and efficiently. Found out our AC was low and topped it off no problem. I recommend!

BEWARE!! I called this company because of a suspicious diagnosis l received from a previous HVAC company who advised me that my furnace needed a coil cleaning. Chicagoland heating and air conditioning arrived on time and that was the start and end of a pleasant service. The technicians diagnosis was possible overheating issues and recommended the furnace coils be acid washed. I asked the price and if he could clean the coils the same day and of course the technician stated l would have to call their office for an estimate and to schedule. I paid $155.00 service charge only to be told l had to reschedule, meanwhile my furnace is still not operating properly. I did in fact call their office and was advised their coil acid cleaning price is $1800 and service couldnt be performed till two days later. Of course this news prompted me to get a third opinion asap. The third HVAC company sent a technician and his diagnosis proved my furnace didnt required a cleaning of any kind. He simply adjusted the blower speed and gas pressure adjustment screw to the recommended specification. My furnace is working perfectly and the best thing is it was free of charge. I wasnt charged a service fee of any kind and more importantly it wasnt recommend that l needed to pay $1800 for coils to be cleaned. In a effort to get my money back for paying for a misdiagnosis. I called Chicagoland heating and air conditionings customer service. I spoke to the representative and informed her of the misdiagnosis and requested a refund of my money. The representative stated, that is the fee just for the technician to come out to diagnose the issue. I then asked for clarification purposes, so irregardless of whether or not the diagnosis is correct or not I am still charged for the service call. The representative then reiterated her first statement that yes that is the fee for coming out. She placed me on a brief hold and came back on the line and asked me if I can email the receipt from the other company. She then proceeded to give me their hotmail email address. I asked what is the purpose of me emailing the receipt, would that facilitate my $155 being returned due to an incorrect diagnosis? She stated that they would have to take a look at it, speak with the technician that diagnosed my unit and would get back to me this week. I asked ok so youll get back to me in 24 hours, 48 hours or 72hours? She reiterated sometime this week. I will not hold my breath. Dont be fooled by all the 5 star reviews like I initially was, because had I not gotten another opinion I wouldnt have known I did not have to spend $1800 to fix my furnace. I would have paid the $1800 dollars not knowing I just got scammed and been giving a good review for paying for a service I didnt need and that wouldnt have addressed the problem with my furnace. Chicagoland heating and air conditioning are scammers and l will never use their services again.

I had a pleasant experience in this place. I took my car there because i had a smell i thought was coming from my A/C, they checked it and told me there was nothing to fix and charged me NOTHING. Wow what great service in a very difficult situation. Our heat went out yesterday morning at 4:00 AM. Called Chicagoland and even though he was extremely busy Rob managed to come out and replace our motor on our system. The serviceman was scheduled for arrival between 9 AM and 1 PM service the air conditioning for the upcoming summer. Sergio arrived at approximately 9:30 AM. Before he began work on the AC, he offered to change the filter for the furnace. He explained how air filters can also effect cooling. He changed the filter. As he proceeded to work on the AC he explained what he was doing and why throughout the process. Noting that the coolant was low, he explained the cost and gave me the option of adding it or doing without. I did choose to add it due to the age of the unit and it serviced every other year.After he finished and put the unit back together, it was running much quieter than before and it looked almost brand new. I appreciated being informed about the steps being taken, why they were necessary and given the option to proceed or not undertake a particular aspect of service. I appreciated how pleasant Sergio was in performing his tasks.

Rob came to our house when the air-conditioner had a Thermal lockout in 95 degree heat! No one could be there to meet him, but I trusted him enough to let him in the house without us there. He cleaned the unit of two years worth of dogwood seeds and replaced a part. He stayed in contact with me the whole time, told me exactly where he placed the bill, turned on the air so it would be cool when I got home, and made sure our cat didnt run out. Mike came out for annual boiler maintenance for the first time since we moved into this house. He checked, cleaned, and lubed everything thoroughly. He was also able to give me some good information on our system and what to keep my eye on. Ive never had a radiant system, so Im still figuring things out, and Im glad Mike was able to give me a couple pointers. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. Thanks Mike!

During routine maintenance of my boiler the technician suggested replacement of the reduction valve and gave a written estimate : $389.00 plus $80.00 per hour labor. The part price seemed high and I subsequently discovered the RETAIL price to be $54.95from an authorized dealer . I understand markup, but this smacked of price gouging. I called the company and was told by the owner, in a very rude manner, that the price was correct and that I do not know about the cost of running a business, health insurance, and people answering the office phone. He asked me who had installed the boiler (15 years ago) and said Why dont you call them then. Nice, right?

If you need a great heating and cooling place to service your air conditioner and heater, then you should give Chicagoland Heating & Air Conditioning a try.I gave them five stars as I highly recommend this company for outstanding customer service, great technicians, and reasonable prices for what they do.We have been using this company for several years now and although they have many technicians that do a great job, we always like to ask for Robert. He is thorough in checking the air conditioner inside and outside the home and goes above and beyond to examine the units and fix if there are issues. He is quality driven and makes sure everything is running smoothly and that you are happy with his work before he leaves.One year, when the weather reached 90 -100 degrees for several weeks, our air conditioner just stopped working in the evening. We called them and within two hours they had a technician out at our home and had the unit up and running. It was really hot that evening, and the fact they had someone available at 10pm was amazing. Every since then we call them every year for service in June or July for the air conditioner and in the fall we call for service on the heater.

Can not say enough good things about the company. Replaced my heating and air two years ago and have had great service. The Sunday before Christmas my water heater went out. They called to make sure I was ok without the water over the holiday. I was at the top of the list after the holiday. Service people were polite and knowledgeable. Alex worked with the manufacturer to get my part at no cost to me although not under warranty. The job was completed in a timely manner at a good price.

Referred my friend to them who was getting the run around from another local HVAC place starting with a DO for a final quote. I suggested she call Skip at Chicagoland. She did and had her new unit installed in three days (would have been faster but she picked the date). And also saved over $3K. And I just received a $50 check from Chicagoland for the referral. I was totally shocked when the CHECK not a credit on my next service came to our house with a nice note thanking me for the referral. I could go on and on. I had Rob come out for a check and clean on my air conditioner. He called to let me know he was on his way. He got right to work and explains what he is doing while he is working. My ac had this screen inside that served no purpose and kind of hindered cleaning it so he suggested removing it and he did. He even put new batteries in my thermostat. That is what I like about Rob, he always goes the extra mile. He is very friendly and informative, this is why I request him.

Rob ( and Al) just left after getting my furnace ready for the winter. In my first year with a new furnace, I had a lot of trouble. Rob worked until he found the problem, fixed it, and is the only tech I ask for each Spring and Fall. Everything is explained in detail. Its nice to have a good rapport with the person who comes into your home to make sure everything is in order.Weve been a Chicagoland customer for many years, in the old house and now in a condo.

I called and asked for assistance on a unit that they had installed in a townhouse that I just purchased. None of the necessary owner manuals were available. The system is 14 years old but in exceptional condition ... it appears that it has been rarely if ever used. I asked if there were manuals of available for this unit. The person I spoke to, one of their engineers, told that I was crazy if I thought I could get a manual to a 14 year old unit. Instead of being helpful and seeing if there was a later model that was similar to my unit where manuals were available, he was nasty and just blew me off. I contacted the company back and told them about my experience and told them that I was going to write this negative review. A company that is this unhelpful and condescending is not one that you want to deal with. And I want to reiterate, this company installed the unit. You would think that they would want to gain the business of the new owner of the townhouse. Apparently with this company this is not the case. Had a furnace and a/c unit installed.the 2 service techs Nate and Joe were absolute tops in the field. They worked seamlessly together and were steady and diligent in their work. Didnt leave one speck of debris when finished. I would gladly have them work on my system again. Chicagoland heating did right by me and im more than happy with the outcome. Well done guys!!

I did not go with Chicagoland heating and cooling because of their strong arm tactics. I called to get an estimate on a furnace, A/C combo replacement, but specifically to get my water tank replaced because it was leaking. I was quoted a price for everything, one which was not unreasonable, but decided I wanted to go ahead with the water tank replacement, but I wanted to shop for more estimates for my Furnace and AC, as its was not the most pressing, and everything Ive read said get at least THREE estimates. This was not good enough, Dave had to call the owner I guess, and as I listen to them discuss how they didnt feel it was right of me to shop for estimates and have them replace the tank, Dave basically told me all or nothing. Ok, its nothing, I wouldnt go with a company that would treat a potential customer like that. $7,000, excuse me if I want to shop around and make sure that Im getting the best deal. Im sure they do excellent work, but have some respect for the buying process and for the homeowner.

The technician did a great job. He was outstanding in many ways. He was extremely thorough in every way. Plus ...... he taught me alot about heating and air conditioning. I dont know if you keep score like I do. If you do, I would certainly give my highest recommendation of this mans performance. I hope he will succeed in everythings he does. Just one of those people that have impressed me enough to speak out for him.

Rob F. came to my home on 8/31/17 to service my furnace. He was professional, courteous and knowledgeable. He explained each step of what he needed to do and why. I felt comfortable with his service and because of him I will recommend chicagoland heating and air conditioning in the future as well as use their services myself. I hope he will be available.

We have used Chicagoland for installation of our humidifiers and servicing our furnaces. We just had Rob out for a inspection and he was fantastic. He was prompt, polite, and was very thorough. We will be using Chicagoland in the future.

I needed emergency air conditioning service on weekend. Chicagoland heating air conditioning service responded to call. The serviceman, Sergio, was very professional; he took time to explain to me what was wrong with my unit and what he needed to do fix it. Sergio also called the next day to make sure everything was still working as expected. I would recommend this company to my friend for service.

Professional very friendly dont try to sell u something that you dont need. Ive have called them and they have always came within5 or6 hours. Technician always explains what caused problem and what they are doing.

Recently did my furnace fall inspect. Installed my beautiful furnace and chimney liner with pristine metal work, installation, on time, walked me through process,programmable thermostat,left work areas so clean,have fall specials for inspects but most of all I trust their service and products. Yeh! I am a fan!

They did install complete new Heating and Air conditioning system for 3 of my properties. The install workman ship is excellent and service is Top Notch.

Set up an appointment last Thursday to have someone come out and replace our heating duct return joints, and the earliest they had available was Monday morning at 9am. A-OK, lets do this!Nobody shows up at 9am on Monday morning. No phone call, no email. I double-check with my husband on the appointment time and he verifies 9am. 9:15... 9:30... at 9:45, I finally call the company. The person I spoke with was polite when she took my call; it took her a few minutes to track the engineer down and tell me that he was running behind and would be at our house at 11. Two hours wasted.11:05am, still no one. I call again, and Im told that the dude is on his way. Five or ten minutes later, he shows up completely empty handed. I showed him the way to the attic crawlspace access (covered with a panel that screws into the wall), and he asks me how to get into it, then if I have a screwdriver. I get him a screwdriver, then he asks for a flashlight. I got fed up by that point and turned the job of answering questions and fetching things over to my husband. After the access panel has been removed, the person sent to replace the heating duct joints looks inside and says, Im not crawling around in there, and makes my husband look for where the joints are located. I pull up the home inspection report to help pinpoint the spots theyll need to get into, and he tells me he has to go get his glasses from the truck.After all of this (its a little after noon at this point), he tells us itll be $250 and the earliest it can be done is Thursday or Friday of this week. We tell him that well talk it over and call the office, and he goes on his way. Four hours of our time totally wasted.I did not offer him a glass of water before he left.
